I'm finally happy with it… I hope you enjoy because gawd it's scary getting into Lila's head.

It's 3.30am where I am and I didn't want to delay any further in giving you this chapter as you have all waited so patiently for it. Thank you =^.^= and enjoy!

Lila sat in the cold dark room with her hands resting on the table in front of her. She made sure to speak when necessary; brag how well she knew and understood the legal system because of her uncle; and nodded with verbal confirmation during the process. Lila was confident, so paid little attention, if any, to what was being said to her: blindly being amenable and lying to get herself out of situations was what Lila was good at.

She would have no issues further down the line: Lila was certain.

There had been some legal jargon spewed at her by the middle aged redhead opposite her, and the man sitting next to her had a file of some sort… but Lila was not paying much attention: the Italian was too busy composing her face to that of a dejected damsel. The dark haired woman, acting as her appropriate adult, sat in the seat next to her and had not said anything in the way of comfort; and truthfully, the brunette was disappointed that they had not picked up on how scared and upset she was acting. All of her skills were being used to their highest level, and all Lila was getting back was serious faces and bland reactions.

'What is the god damn point of all this shit!? I shouldn't be here, I've done nothing wrong! That good-for-nothing Baker Brat has put Adrien up to this… I don't know how that little harlot has weaselled her way into Gabe's good graces either, but I'm sure gonna make that bitch regret it… Adrien will see that I'm the only one worthy of him… but it will simply be too late.

'No grovelling is going to save his reputation when I'm through with him! Just watch him come crawling back and me not giving a damn…' Lila was required to suppress a growl while keeping up her hurt facade. The way their monotone voices were barely able to penetrate her own thoughts was just proof of how little they believed her reasons for being in that room.

'They sound bored. That's proof in itself that they know that this is just a formality and I'll be on my merry way as soon as this is over all I have to do is prove-'

"…Lila?"

The Italian was brought out of her musings, while keeping the tears on standby in case they were required, and was encouraged to look at an image which had been placed just in front of her hands. She remembered that day. Ensuring to keep her voice as meek as possible, the Italian was going to tell her truth, and land Marinette in the shitter at the same time.

The female officer spoke first, her tone staying monotonous as she asked questions pertaining to the image. "Firstly, can you tell me who is pictured please Lila?"

She chanced a glance up to see the woman's face showing a lack of emotion. 'Perfect, she can't be arsed, this is going to be easy…' "Y-yes… that's me, an-," she stifled a sob for good measure, "and Adr-i-en."

"Miss Rossi," the woman curtly addressed her with a poorly hidden sigh, "I am going to need you to repeat that clearly for the tape."

"So-sorry," the teenager sniffed, and was annoyed when no one made an effort to comfort her or even offer a tissue. "Tha-that's Adrien, Adrien Agreste."

"Thank you." The female officer continued, "and can you tell me what you are doing in this picture please?"

That was easy, she was finding an excuse to hang out with him at his house after school under the ruse of needing help with homework. He had seemed uncomfortable at the time, but it was obvious now that it was because Adrien must have seen Marinette lurking and did not want to hurt her feelings by accepting to spend time alone with herself. It was obvious to Lila who had taken the picture: she was the only one crazy enough to go around stalking people… it was well known that she had a thing for the blonde.

'You have well and truly screwed yourself here Marinette! Idiot. You're gonna wish you'd left us alone.'

"We-well," she messily wiped her face, and still there was no reaction from the adults in the room. "I, uh, was asking him if h-he was fr-ee, to do homework to-gether, after school… Adrien was acting… weird-"

"In what way was Mr Agreste acting weird?"

Lila refrained from shooting the woman a dirty look for interrupting her, and settled for an emotional wince. "He, we've done it before, homework I mean, at his house… and he was happy when we did it then." Lila was expecting one of them to interrupt her again, but when they just stared at her waiting for her to continue, the Italian knew they were hooked into hearing what she had to say. "B-but, this is going to sound awful…" she wiped her not quite damp cheeks and still there was no reaction. "I think he knew that she-" Lila grimaced, as if saying the name hurt her, "-Marinette, was watching."

"I see."

Lila hid her smirk well by covering her mouth to add a small sob for added effect. "Sh-she has always had a problem with our relationship-"

"And what type of relationship do you have with Mr Agreste please, Miss Rossi?" Lila was quick enough to look indignantly at the woman, as if the question even needed to be asked. "Can you clarify to us what you believe your relationship to be with him?"

"He was practically my boyfriend!"

"I see." The red haired and wrinkled brow older woman never gave any emotion away, but Lila could hear the skepticism still. "So can you explain why Mr Agreste would be acting weird with Miss Dupain-Cheng around, if he was, and by your admission, 'practically your boyfriend'?"

Something was off.

Lila did not like how this was going.

Time to release a few tears in order to get them back on side.

Lila sobbed. "He-he-he was al-ways c-concerned with her f-feelings… b-but not mine!" She almost wailed, "sh-she was there, taking this picture." Her arms came into play in a way to convey how absurd it would be for someone to actually do that. "She stalked us! Marinette would not let us ever be by ourselves… an-"

"I'm going to stop you there Lila."

Lila sniffed and gulped thickly: the woman opposite her had the audacity to stop her mid-tale when she had been the one who wanted to hear the truth. The Italian's responsible adult finally passed a tissue to her and the two officers shared a look.

'Who the hell does she think she is! How dare they doubt me when they are yet to hear my side of things! This unfair treatment I can have her job for this! Just you-"

"Miss Rossi," the male officer spoke up while the woman rubbed her brow. Lila observed that his mousy blonde hairline was receding and that his teeth were slightly crooked: but he had not spoken before that she had noticed. 'Maybe I can wrap you around my little finger just like I did good ol' Gabe.'

"Yes."

"We'll level with you," he tapped the file on the desk in front of him and Lila caught the person beside her shifting uncomfortably. "We have in this case file, countless pieces of evidence documenting your behaviour towards Mr Adrien Agreste. We have spoken to over twenty people including educators, classmates, parents and colleagues of you both, and the only people who are saying that you and Mr Agreste were in any sort of relationship are you, and one other person. Would you like to have a guess at who that person is?"

Lila knew before she said it that it was not the answer they were looking for, but she tried anyway: they had been so close! "A-adrien?"

The woman cut in, clearly losing her patience. "It was your mother."

Lila was legitimately disappointed: "oh."

The tissue came in handy.

"B-but we were-"

"Barely friends…" the man cut her off while reading from his file, "'Lila Rossi is a girl who I first met in school, she would ask me for help on her homework as she missed class due to travelling'; which we have confirmed was not the case with your mother, however the school have been made aware of the discrepancy; 'and I said I would be happy to do so-"

"See!" Lila grasped at the little ledge which had been given to her, but the two officers shared that look again before the male gazed back down at the file.

"I wasn't finished."

Lila stayed quiet as the room suddenly seemed to get a lot colder.

"'-that was until she lied to gain entrance to my house; lied to my father that I was surrounded by negative influences; and became a constant presence where I worked. She has hurt the people I care about on multiple occasions; lied about me and my girlfriend on social media; and has continually harassed me, invaded my personal space-' which we will be addressing shortly, '-and touched me inappropriately'-"

With that last point, Lila completely forgot to react to the 'girlfriend' aspect of the spiel. "I have NEVER touched Adrien inappropriately!" The Italian exclaimed angrily while rising to her feet and slamming her hands down on the table. "That is a LIE!"

"Item forty three." The woman instructed her partner who proceeded to flip the file open, exposing to Lila just how much evidence had been gathered against her. "I know the item in question as it has already been called upon in a previous interview." The woman explained in the same monotone that she had used from the beginning.

After only a few seconds, a picture was taken out of the file for Lila to receive and the Italian felt smug. It was just a picture from when they had gone to the cinema on the weekend; there was no proof that it had been inappropriate at all. So what if her hand was touching his bum, it could easily be a subtle caress between two people who have feelings for each other. Again it was obvious who had taken the picture, 'she turned up and got int the way just after… it has got to be her… Marinette I can have you done for stalking!'

She did not hide her smirk very well.

"He stood by me because he wanted to. He did not move away, this is all just a lie to tarnish what we had; who I am! He is bored of me and wants to get rid of me!" She truly pleaded with the officers, "why can't you see that? Why can't you see that Marinette is stalking us!"

"Please sit down Miss Rossi, we are going to be a while yet and I really do not want your legs to get tired." The woman opposite cleared her throat before adding, "and I believe the term that has been put to us is 'gathering evidence for when Mr Agreste was ready to confront the problem'. And before you say anything further to oppose that," she raised a hand to indicate to Lila that she was not to interrupt, "Mr Agreste is a public figure, he is regularly photo graphed when in public without his knowledge as I'm sure you are also accustomed to with you also being a model."

Olive eyes stared at the expressionless redhead across from her and the Italian could feel her anger bubbling up at her obvious plight being dismissed so easily. Before she could say anything though, her appropriate adult gestured for her to sit and whispered something that Lila was too angry to listen to.

The Italian was fuming. The brunette was absolutely livid with the way they were treating her, and the wronged teen resigned herself to making a mental list of people who would get what was coming to them.

The noise of the paper, displaying the picture, being moved broke the silence as the male retrieved it and placed it back into its position in the file. For the first time, the woman officer's lips curled ever so slightly and Lila almost growled.

"You say that Mr Agreste did not move away from you Miss Rossi, is that correct?"

The teen hissed slowly, trying to contain her rage, "yes."

"I see." The woman sighed, "so the video this frame was taken from is completely fabricated?"

"What?"

"I think Miss Rossi will need legal guidance from now on." The dark haired woman beside her, who Lila had just realised had been almost silent the entire time, finally spoke. Her words caused Lila to splutter incoherently in astonishment before her sentence could finally be understood.

"You're not a lawyer?!"

"No, your mother said you didn't need one-"

Lila muttered to herself quietly, "My god, that woman really is an idiot."

"-it was explained to you at the beginning of the interview, and when I met you earlier, that you would have to request one as your legal guardian stated you did not need one. I just tried to prompt you into asking for one… I am only here because your mother can't be as she is a witn-"

Lila hissed angrily and flailed her arms about as she turned fully to watch the woman lean away and raise her eyebrows. "You did not tell me this!"

"We have it recorded that she did," the male officer helpfully pointed out.

Lila panicked, "what?" And turned her attention to him.

"At the beginning of the interview, we pointed out that this was being recorded and would be used as evidence."

"Well I obviously wasn't LISTENING, was I!"

"Miss Rossi, please calm-"

She scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest haughtily, "since when has telling someone to calm down ever worked? You people, and your legal jargon! I didn't understand a word of it!"

"You said you did, Miss Rossi." The redhead was not hiding her slight satisfaction, "we have it on recorded audio that you claimed your uncle is one of the best lawyers around and you understand the system perfectly."

The male closed the file with a loud slap, "we will have to dismiss the interview-"

The Italian felt relief wash over her, "thank god!"

"-from the point of the appropriate adult's intervention, and will reconvene once legal guidance has been assigned."

"What- but I…"

"Time of termination is sixteen zero four," the redhead glanced at her watch, "to be amended accordingly to the point of legal guidance being requested."

I think it's safe to say that Lila is well and truly fudged! I hope you enjoyed this, and forgive me if I got anything wrong with the way these things usually go.

Thank you for reading, and for the lovely reviews, follows and faves. not many chapters to go, and I will miss writing this fic very much.
