"One… two… three…"
"We found the body! I repeat, we found the body! Somebody get me a damn stretcher and ambulance before this kid dies!"
'Drip… drip…'
"Four… five… six…"
"Hang in there kid! We're almost at the hospital!"
'Drip… drip… drip…'
"S-seven… eight…"
"Dammit he's getting weaker! Can't we do anything?!"
'Drip… drip…'
"N-n-nine…"
"Kid…? Hey, hey kid! Stay with me! Kid!"
…
"...Someone take a note… Tia Schnieden, age 16, time of death, 2233... Dammit kid, your pops is gonna have my head for letting this happen."
TEN
It was cold.
The afterlife was colder than Tia expected.
He found himself standing atop a barren hill overlooking an endless plain, the horizon was pitch black and the ground a weird yellow stone. In a weird way, it was sort of breathtaking. In every other way, it was just proof of his passing. Was he supposed to cry, or be more upset with this?
Tia placed a hand on my heart, and frowned. There was no beat, no warmth… more proof of his passing… weirdly enough, he felt calmer than ever too. Was it a side-effect from dying? Did he lose all his emotions along with his life?
…
Nobody was going to answer him if he just stood around. It was best to get moving, besides… it felt like someone was watching him atop the hill. Tia briefly shivered as a cold breeze passed by. For destinations, the weird black and grey structure seemed to be the only thing he can use.
After going down the hill, the land in front of him exploded. He covered his eyes with his arm and got blown back by a sudden gust of wind. Tia looked around and found nothing of the source. This didn't feel right so he quickly pushed himself up and moved across the pink particles on the ground.
"Ack!" He jumped back, the pink stuff hurts, and it gave him headaches. Tia noted that for later use, looking around, he found a cavern he could use to get around. He looked around a little more for whatever caused it but found nothing. The cavern path were curved, with a straight path to the abyss if he fell. Tia ignored his increasingly painful headache in favoring of not falling to his death.
Nothing happened in the cave, relieving but a bit disappointing. He expected more in the afterlife.
The black and grey structure seemed like it was getting further and further, he swore it was closer when he was up on the hill. It might be better to hurry up.
The yellow rocks that made up the endless plains were odd. He grabbed a rock as he passed by, and it weighed less than he thought and simply disappeared from his hand. He shook his head and noticed something on the ground up ahead. His body tensed as he noticed the similarities.
'Blood... well… this is hell, so its not that weird.'
Why was he so calm in this situation, he wondered? An unknown was tearing his head, and random patches of dried blood could be found here and there. A scream could be heard to his left... Tia's head snapped towards the direction and found a young man, around his age, being chased by a gathering of clouds.
Tia looked away when the man was unable to escape the cloud's pursuit. He turned around and jogged away as the young stranger was torn to pieces, unwilling to be the next to die. Not helping left a bad taste in his mouth though.
He might be conscious now, but what if there wasn't death after death? Tia wasn't willing to find out, and thus, he pressed his palms against his ears and blocked off the stranger's screams as he ran. His headache reached its apex before a single thought surfaced. It was stupid, downright suicidal... but it made his headache go away.
Tia stopped running away and turned around. The young man screamed in terror, yet even when he watched the cloud tear into him he did not feel anything. No disgust, no fear... nothing. The clouds were beginning to disperse. He was curious... why can this guy feel something when he feels nothing?
'In all honesty I should probably keep moving, and everything in me is telling me to keep moving. So why am I going not?' His feet moved despite his instincts' insistence. The young man's corpse was a few hundred meters away, and the structure that was his destination was kilometers away. He inspect the corpse and sprint to make up for lost time. '...My head doesn't hurt like this at least.'
He was getting the urge to run. The closer he got, the stronger it became. Tia shook his head and pinched his arm to give himself something else to occupy his head.
Something trembled, it might have been his body. The closer he got to the corpse the stronger his body shook. However, Tia was already too close to back down.
'Its getting harder to breathe, was this a mistake?' Tia got close enough to closely inspect the body. He winced as a stinging pain began developing in his head.
The young man died with his eyes open, they looked glazed and they're color were slowly changing into purple. His skin was changing from a pale white into a deep black. The corpse's height and thickness was changing as well, the arms and legs were extending while the neck was digging deeper into its torso.
"Hiss...!" His headache came back with a vengeance. However, he couldn't move his body. It felt like something took away his nerves and anything he tried reached nothing. Eventually, he collapsed next to the corpse, which maintained a constant pace in its transformation. This was definitely a mistake, his headache returned tenfold and he learned nothing from the corpse.
His blood ran cold when it suddenly sat up. He watched it slowly focus and start collecting pink and purple particles. Tia recognized them as the same particles that gave him the headache in the first place. It broke its jaw and screamed in a really high pitch. He felt like his ears were ringing from it.
Tia was barely able to keep himself conscious, his brain was trying its hardest to kill him while the screech tore away any and all self-control he had.
Tia cracked open an eye and froze. He looked into the deep, empty and cold purple of the… thing the corpse became. He paled as the thing- no, the monster- raised its arms... and swung.
[You have been pummeled to death by an Enderman]
[Player! Tia Schnieden has failed to fully reincarnate.]
[Initiating Emergency Protocol: *****]
The sky was clear today, unlike the past few days where it only rained. The people in the village down at the foot of the mountain were quickly moving to salvage their fields and digging through their ruined buildings. A black eye watched them and snorted as they pulled out a little girl from under a pile of wood. He felt something when the little girl was brought back to their parents.
It reminded him of what he was about to become.
There was nothing to hunt in that village destroyed by the storm. The animals have long since fled their confines. Perhaps it was time to move, his mate was about to give birth to their child after all.
Yes, that was a good idea. Perhaps he would run into a sheep to feed his mate, who could no longer hunt.
After all, it was a to-be-father's duty to maintain his family.

Tia slowly breathed in and out, his nerves and mind slowly recovering from experiencing the pain of death via blunt trauma twice over. The black thing was not quick in its execution, and no normal human can die twice without suffering some kind of mental damage. Tia closed his eyes and matched how the others were breathing, finding it somehow calming.
Well, for the few seconds it took for him to start being dragged away at least. Tia couldn't move a muscle in protest, he thought he heard something howl in pain in the distance. He couldn't think too hard on it since after a few more minutes he was outside of the moist space he woke up in.
He didn't move an inch afterwards though, too mentally spent to put up an effort. A low whine interrupted his thoughts as a snout pushed against his body. Tia cracked open an eye and stilled his breathing.
In front of him, was a massive as fuck wolf with white fur and black highlights. Its eyes narrowed and he instinctively slowed his breathing and closed his eyes.
The first of the litter had ceased breathing. A sad thing to witness, he could see the grief in his mate's eyes as she witnessed her firstborn's dying breath. He glanced at her, sharing her sadness, before howling to the moon in sorrow for the loss of their first child.
His mate winced as she tried to give birth to the second one. He hoped this one would live, for his mate's sake and his own. His eyes looked over his firstborn's corpse and slowly moved it away, it would not do for his second-born to have its dead sibling as the first thing it sees.
His mate howled, much like she did when their firstborn came out, this time he caught the body atop his snout before it could hit the ground. He noted its gender as he slowly, and carefully, dropped it near his mate's stomach. He was pleasantly made aware of the steady breathing of his second-born.
The big wolf moved his body. Why it hadn't eaten him right then and there was a mystery, but Tia couldn't afford to question it, not when it saved his life.
'Move, you stupid pile of flesh.' He urged his body to stand, or at least crawl itself away from the two wolves. Something was weird though, now that he was out he realized his mind was recovering at an astonishing rate.
The big wolf snapped its head in his direction. Tia flinched and froze, slowly, it turned back to attend to its third cub. He used that chance to push himself in a standing position but fell on his back. 'Okay now its noticed me for sure, time to die for a third time.'
He opened an eye narrowly, watching the big wolf stare at him quizzically. It shared a glance with its mate, and slowly walked over. Tia braced himself for a quick death, but was confused when it licked him.
He twitched.
Okay, stat check.
He died from getting run over, then died again from a black thing, and now he was being coddled by a white wolf he is half-sure is his father, and another white wolf with black paws he was half-sure is his mother.
'...Did I get reincarnated as a wolf cub?!'
[Quest Complete! One way or another, I will find an answer!
Due to your own incompetence in the plane of reincarnation, you have failed to properly reincarnate into a human body. Despite this the Primordial has granted you a second chance. Unlike the others who have reincarnated into this world like you, you are without the ability to come back to life.
However, the Primordial is kind, and has granted you mercy. Unlike the others, you are unique in one way.

Authors Note; Gonna try to do a Gamer fic in Minecraft. Future chapters will probably be a bit longer than this one, but for now this should work as an introduction. By the way, I refuse to do a minecraft fic in a vanilla world. I prefer one that's modded, easier to pull my bullshit that way.
