"Hello there, it is me, yet again. Deadpool. Obviously. If you... didn't pick up on that. Yeah... Anyway... Previously on whatever the fuck this fanfiction is called, Loki made some pro-LGBTQIA+ laws, Tony and Loki still haven't even had sex yet to my knowledge but they did have a 'date' with Spidey as third wheel, all the Avengers and Loki went to a pride orgy together, Nat found a stray cat, I died again, and most importantly-" a random old Stark bomb that no one had found because it supposedly wasn't working anymore, suddenly went off and blew up Deadpool. No one noticed, though, because this was in the middle of nowhere.

"FUCKING HELL, REALLY?!"

*HYDRA base 7, location classified*

"Soldat! Mission report."

"Target eliminated, no witnesses, evidence removed."

"Good."

Another mission successful, no wiping today. They weren't putting me to sleep this time, new mission must be soon.

I turned as part of the wall in my cell blew up.

"Soldat, find the threat, eliminate!" Handler shouted, pointing at the falling dust.

"Soldat!"

"Ready to comply."

Grabbing weapons, I moved towards the hole and walked through, scanning the hallways. Movement to the left, possible target. Running after the sounds I saw a tall, broad male, Captain America. Reports said he was the enemy but had been unpursued so far. Threat level high, likely followed by the other members of his team.

Aiming, I managed to shoot his left leg and he fell. Blue eyes turned to face me.

"Bucky?"

"Who the hell is Bucky?" and why did it sound so familiar? And his voice. But he seemed big, should be smaller. Small, small, small.

"You are Bucky, James Buchanan Barnes. I am Steve Rogers, you are not HYDRA. You know me," the man said, slowing limping towards me.

Target… must shoot, but... Steve. Protect…Target.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Buck. I'm with ya 'til the end of the line," he smiled at me.

Steve, it's Steve. Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve. The gun slipped through my finger.

"Steve?" I said, staring at him. What, Steve, Steve need Steve… target… Steve!

"Yeah, it's me; Steve. It's okay if you don't remember much but I'm here to help, just trust me, okay?"

Trust Steve, trust, trust Steve. I nodded.

"Okay, come on, follow me," he said, gesturing to me.

"I have Bucky, we are on our way," he said into an ear piece as I followed him through the halls. "Bring them as well," Steve said, responding to someone on the other end.

As we turned around a hallway, a HYDRA agent ran at Steve with a taser rod. They wanted to hurt Steve! They can't hurt Steve. PROTECT STEVE!

Grabbing the HYDRA agent by the throat, I quickly threw them against the wall. Steve looked at me with shock for a moment before nodding his thanks. NO ONE HURTS STEVE.

Finally we got out of the base to see a large Quinjet parked with Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow and 2 unknown young adults standing outside.

One of the young adults, a red-headed woman, was clutching Black Widow's hand very tightly.

"So who are these?" Steve (Steve, Steve, Steve) asked.

"Maximoff twins, survivors of experiments, powered and held here since they were 14 years old," Hawkeye answered (threat level… Steve's friend... don't hurt Steve's friend).

"Well now that you're back can we please, you know, go back. I think it's best we don't, you know, explode when the building does," Iron Man said, walking back up the Quinjet ramp.

"You just want to get back to your fiancé, Stark," Widow said with a smirk as Iron Man spluttered and denied it with a bright red face. Everyone followed Iron Man anyway. Exploding is not a very preferable outcome.

"Hey, Buck, do you remember anything, or...?" Steve said as we sat down.

"You're Steve," I nodded. "Protect Steve, protect tiny Steve, tiny stupid Steve, tiny stupid trouble-seeking Steve, tiny stup…" I stopped as he slammed his hand against my mouth as the rest of his team laughed.

"I was not stupid or trouble-seeking!" he said.

"Stubborn tiny stupid trouble-seeking Steve," I responded to which he stuck out his tongue.

"Real mature, Cap," Iron Man said.

"Shut it, Tin Can," Steve hissed.

Steve, Steve, Steve, little Steve now big Steve. Like all Steve. All Steve good Steve. GRENADE LITTLE STEVE NEAR GRENADE STUPID STEVE JUMP ON GRENADE WHY STEVE WHY?!

Stupid Steve.

I turned to see Steve smiling at me. Stupid Steve is too cute dammit!

"Time jump again!" Deadpool materialised suddenly. "We are now back at the tower. And uh, Steve's leg is fine now." And then he evaporated.

"Welcome back, Nat," another unknown said, hugging her tightly.

"Thanks, Pep, sorry we're a little late, still going to dinner tonight?" Black Widow asked.

"Of course," 'Pep' smiled, and then ended the hug.

Iron Man ran over to another unknown and hugged him, muttering into his shoulder, "mine."

"Welcome home, Anthony," the unknown said fondly.

"Okay, so I guess we'll be looking after Wanda," Black Widow said to Pep, and then she turned to Wanda with a smile, and Wanda looked back, her cheeks going slightly pink.

"I'll take care of Pietro," Hawkeye said.

"And you're with me, Buck," Steve said.

Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve.

"C'mon, pal, let's get you cleaned up," he said, grabbing my shoulder and steering me towards an elevator.

He pressed a button with an image of a shield.

"Tony forgets numbers so all the important floors have symbols," he explained with a smile.

Nodding, I looked back at his already healed leg. His healing couldn't hide the dried blood. Steve was hurt, Steve was hurt! Steve, Steve, Steve. Need to protect Steve, failed Steve, Steve hurt.

"Hey, you okay there, Buck?" he asked, looking concerned.

"You're hurt," I said simply, still staring at the leg.

"Hey, look at me. I'm fine, Super Soldier Serum works wonders. I'm here and I'm not going to leave you again," he said, raising my head to look into his eyes. Steve's eyes. Steve, Steve, Steve.

He grabbed me into a hug and held on until the elevator opened to a BRIGHT RED, WHITE AND BLUE ROOM.

"Dammit, Tony! He changed my floor again!" Steve shouted after seeing the patriotic monstrosity. "Tony he thinks he's funny. Anyway the bathroom is through here, I'll let you shower first while I find you some clothes," he gestured towards a bright red door.

I entered the room and quickly showered before Steve walked in with tracksuit bottoms and a top.

"I brought you some… oh my god I'm sorry I should of knocked," he blushed, dropping the clothes and walking out.

Oh god, my brain must be messed up. I swear I remember we were dating or kissing or, oh. Of course, why would he want me now? I mean look at all the scars, the metal arm, and I was a part of HYDRA for god's sake! Why would someone so perfect want me?

I quickly put on the clothes and walked out of the bathroom.

"Hey um. Sorry about that," he said, rubbing his head awkwardly.

"It's fine, privacy isn't really a thing at HYDRA, so I'm used to it," I shrugged.

Steve looked angry at that. What did I do wrong?

"Well the bright blue door there is a guest bedroom, which you can stay in. Just call if you need anything and JARVIS will tell you if you are ever needed. I'm glad you're safe, Buck," he smiled.

I just nodded, even though I had no clue who Jarvis was.

A red masked head appeared from the roof.

"Hey, you know who it is! That's right, me! Deadpool the fabulous. I'm here to tell you that this chapter will be switching POVs to Steve. And now, farewell. I must leave before the authors kill me o-" Deadpool got cut off by a random blade stabbing him a bunch of times. "Okay, this is getting ridiculous!"

I couldn't believe we had found Bucky! It was amazing. I didn't think he remembered most things, though. I definitely didn't think he remembered that we were dating, no one actually knew because it was illegal. Well Ma knew, but to be fair Bucky proposed when we were like 7 and he had to ask Ma's permission first. Even if he did remember it wouldn't be fair to force him into a relationship, he'd changed a lot and probably wouldn't want me anymore, anyway. I just hoped he was happy.
