The Fire Nation had won the war. They were unstoppable until a portal to another world was discovered. To a divided world about to be embroiled in war. What happens when the Fire Nation invades our world in 1939? How will the nations of our world react? How will the technologies combat each other? And where is the Gaang? I don't own the Avatar Universe or anything in it.

A collection of drabbles written as part of a "Five-Sentence" prompt ask on Tumblr @ moonsugar-and-spice that I figured I'd archive here. Playing it fast loose with punctuation and grammar, but they're all technically five sentences. Pairings/Ratings vary. Most fall into T and require no warnings, a couple are M, but each one is rated/warned accordingly at the top of each chapter.

Taking place just after the events of "The Western Air Temple." After Zuko joins the gAang (and is threatened by Katara), he's forced to share just a little more of his story than he'd like. Aang is concerned, Sokka is thoughtful, Toph is observant (somewhat), and Katara is furious.

It begins, as all stories-that-you-want-to-tell-your-children-but-you-remember-that-very-awkward-part-of-it-and-decide-it's-better-if-you-don't do, in a coffee shop. / A love story in which everyone commits at least one crime.

Grown-Up Universe. [Zutara] Being married to the avatar isn't easy - especially when you're in love with the Fire Lord. Zuko and Katara carry on their affair on Kyoshi island until... Kenna has never met her mother, nor her grandmother, all she knows is the life she leads as a healer in the Northern Water Tribe with her grandfather master Pakku. While he spouted the belief that women should be healers, not fighters, Kenna seemed to be the exception. Until the Avatar returns and throws her entire life out of balance. {ZUKOXOC}

Time Travel AU. Zuko wakes up ten years in an alternate future next to the waterbending girl who's name he can't remember and two children she claims is his own. With no clue on how he's landed in the south pole, Zuko concludes that he must gather the pieces in order to return home, back to the past and back to his life in the fire nation.

When Katara chooses Zuko over Aang, and the cracks begin to show, how will she react? Can she salvage their relationship, or is she - and henceforth, her true love - lost forever? (Zutara, Kataangst, some Sukka)

The Fire Nation has been defeated at Ba Sing Se. Lu Ten is dead, General Iroh disgraced, Fire Lord Azulon passed, and Ozai inheriting his throne. As the Earth Kingdom aggressively regains its territory and the Fire Nation attempts to assert control, a group of Fire Nation deserters seek to protect those unable to defend themselves, and punish those who abuse their power.

Toph is a lady of high society, and her hand in marriage is much coveted by many men. In fact, someone very powerful takes interest in the blind girl. Someone her father immediately marries her off to. The Avatar.

In the year 2099, corporations rule the world. People are being enhanced with augments and Republic City has fallen into crime and chaos. The Avatar is the only one who can bring balance to the world. He's in Republic City, the problem is that he doesn't know that he's the Avatar.

[Soulmate AU] Where Toph and Aang meet once again.

Nobody knows what happened to the past Avatar, it's believed that he was never reborn and the cycle's broken. But after a hundred years, my brother and I meet a firebender named Zuko, the ancient banished Fire Prince and the missing Avatar for the past century. He has some attitude issues to solve along with mastering the four elements but... I believe Zuko can save the world.

He was an enigma; a puzzle she wanted to solve. She was an open book, and he wanted to get lost in her pages. This is an "alternate" version of the original story. The only difference is this one is expletive-free so my wonderful beta, FireLadyFae, could work on it with me. I'll still be posting to both versions every week!
