You don't know if you are lost, or if you have lost something. Maybe you have never had something, or someone, to lose. Have someone maybe lost you? Perhaps, but you don't know. What is something or someone? You don't know that either. You don't know anything, but then again if you don't know anything, then it doesn't really matter if you are lost or not, does it?

Bilbo Baggins of the Shire is a Shapeshifter (or Skinchanger, if you perfer) and ends up on an adventure with Dwarves, no less! Here's the twist, his form, as you can imagine, is something quite dangerous. What will the Dwarves do when they find out? Will he make it to journeys end? Is our Bilbo going to find love along the way?

King Thror sees Dis' newborn as a curse to the line or Durin and orders his death, however Thorin won't allow it and escapes with Kili. He brings the babe to the West where he is found by a Hobbit lass and raised as one of their own until the day where Thorin returns to him and wishes to bring him home. But Kili isn't particularly keen on it and neither is his brother Bilbo.

Thranduil hears about a possible Durin business deal and is immediately suspicious and concerned. He sends Tauriel and Legolas to find out what's going on. They both find much to intrigue them, as well as each other.

One year after the Battle of the Five Armies, Thranduil and Bard are in a happy relationship. When Bard travels to the Iron Hills to deliver gifts, Thranduil begins to worry. Finally, Bard returns, injured but alive. Thranduil is relieved, but a seed of doubt remains lodged in his heart. He wonders if he and Bard really be together: Can a elf truly love a mortal?
