February 22, 1977

His name was Yoshikage Kira, 11 years old. He lived with his family in the upscale neighbourhood of northeast Morioh. He didn't have any friends. He studied at Budogaoka School.

That's all there was to know about his life.

Kira thought about it while he returned home from school. Today, some of his classmates asked him to go with them to play in the park. It was most likely that they felt bad after seeing him alone all the time. When he arrived home, he was going to ask his parents for permission, he already knew what his mother would say, but he couldn't just go without telling anyone.

"Welcome home dear son." His mother Miyako said with a smile on her face when he finally arrived. When Yoshikage entered his home, he knew that those words were the only thing he would get from his parents. They never considered hugs or kisses an important part of family relationships. Yoshikage understood that, but he couldn't help but feel jealous of how other parents hugged their children. Yoshikage knew what his mother would answer to the following question, but he asked it anyway.

"Some of my classmates invited me to go to the park with them and I thought that maybe you could let me…" His mother looked quite angry, "What did I tell you about hanging out with those kids?! You are better than them my son, you shouldn't waste time on them." His mother would never let Yoshikage spend time with children she deemed not worthy. But there was nobody like him, he knew that for sure. He was smarter than all his classmates, he was so smart that he purposely tried to write wrong answers in the tests to avoid standing out even more. His father of course didn't say anything, he never tried to argue with his wife.

Holding back tears, Yoshikage ran to his room.

He only wanted to be like the rest, without standing out. He just wanted to have his parents hug him and touch him all the others did to their children. Was that too much to ask?!

When he arrived, he sat down to study for a test he had next week. He didn't exactly like studying, but what else was he gonna do? At least he was good at something. He heard a noise right behind him, he turned around and he couldn't help but scream.

"February 22, 1977" it was the day Yoshikage Kira saw the ghost for the first time. His life would never be the same.

"I did it! It worked!" The mind of an older Yoshikage Kira was filled with joy and happiness when he realised that he managed to escape from the rotten hands of the Ghost Girl's Alley. When he saw them, he instinctively used Bites the Dust to go back in time. He was still a ghost of course, but that was better than nothing.

"I am sorry Reimi, but your vengeance will have to wait".

The question was, how much did he travel back in time? Usually Bites the Dust only rewinded an hour, but the street he saw in front of him looked quite different like it used to. It was almost like he returned to the 70s. Pretty bizarre.

His thoughts were interrupted when he saw a short blond kid walking towards his house. "Could it be?" For some reason, Kira started following the kid into his home. He could enter without any problems, this house was always open for Yoshikage Kira, no matter which one. He saw the argument between his younger self and his mother and followed the kid to his room, no one saw him, one of the few advantages of being a ghost.

When the two Yoshikages were alone, the ghost decided to show himself.

"Who are you! Where did you come from?" The younger Kira was terrified after seeing the person who apparently came out of nowhere.

The older Kira thought about lying to him, but he changed his mind. Yoshikage Kira would never lie to himself.

"I am yourself from the future" The kid still looked scared, but managed to calm down and ask. "Why did you come here?"

That was a good question, and the answer came to Kira easily. He was still bitter of his humiliating defeat at the hands of Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Hayato and the others. They single handedly ruined his life in only a few weeks, giving him days without sleep filled with anxiety. But fate was always by his side, and it gave Kira another chance.

He was going to help this kid achieve the quiet life he failed to achieve. With his knowledge of the future, nobody would ever stand in his way. Kira knew he would never go to Heaven. He was sure of it. But he would at least go to hell knowing that another version of him lived happily and without any worries.

"I came to help you get the life you deserve."

The kid was still doubtful and couldn't help but to stumble backwards, accidentally causing a book to fall from the table. He picked it up and stared at the page it accidentally opened. The older Kira was confused at his younger self's sudden reaction, what was in the book to affect him like that? It was almost like he got an ere...

"No way" Did he really arrive on the exact day as "that" happened? He looked at the page and saw that his suspicions were correct, a big picture of the Mona Lisa was on the book.

The old Kira sighed. This is going to be the start of a really bizarre story, he could feel it. No matter what happens, he was going to make sure this kid lived the quiet life he wanted.

"No matter what"
