"Come on, hurry up!"
"If father finds out he will be highly upset Yara,"
"Then dont tell him, Cordova," Her sister said with a sly grin.
"I dont like this" Cordova was the oldest of the two and downright hated fully human form. Her long white hair turned black, her facial marks of purple hidden, her mood, gone. Gold eyes turned green. Hated it. Her sister, however, didn't have a care in the world. She happily wore balled pig tales and wore way to much blush in place of her markings. Cordova sneered only slightly because, like their father, she did adore her younger sister.
"If he finds out I will not save you,"
"Come on it has been years since she was forced back, and she won't know us,"
"Do not underistmate a Miko,"
"We are in human form,"
"We still look like father,"
"You look like father," Yara said with a wild smile as she rushed through people on the street.
In truth, Cordova did look much like her father. Actually, she was a younger mirror of her grandmother, his mother. Yara, however, was a good mix between their father and her uncle, Inuyasha. Her face was softer more shaped like Inuyasha's, her eyes were bigger, but the biggest difference was, she smiled. It made all who know her love her. Instantly like some kinda trans or unseen grandmother often boasted that she once had that power, but hers was more of a womanly nature. Yara was still very young, carefree, loving, and open. Of course, she was much younger than Cordova, Cordova was raised strickly, Yara was not. Cordova did not hold any contempt for her sister, like her father held for his brother.
"It's just up ahead, look!" Yara pointed, and Cordovas eyes followed. It was a market. Something you would find back in the time of her birth, though now they sold things unseen by people of the year of her birth. She was born fifty years after Naraku. Yara was born almost two hundred years after Naraku when darkness and war wasn't so much a threat. When time and people started changing, but before Demons such as themselves had to hide in public.
"Your making that face again," Yara stopped,
"What face,"
"That face dad makes when he is contemplating killing someone but knows better,"
"Father," Cordova corrected,
Yara rolled her eyes and grabbed her sister's hand, and dragged her the rest of the way. It was a busy place, many vendors selling all kinds of "Junk," Cordova said,
"We haven't gotten to the good part,"
Soon the smell of foods came to them both; they did eat for pleasure. Then the vendors started to change, far back at the end. Handmade items, vegetables, and "Herbs!" Yara said. They both paused as their eyes met with the being they were looking for.
Both aw struck. Wearing traditional Miko attire and her hair pulled back, she stood out.
Cordova tilted her head "Perhaps a small resemblance to Kikyo,"
The woman looked up and smiled at a customer as she handed hand-tied herbs.
Yara smiled with happiness "She is just as I imagined!"
Cordova rose an eyebrow. She was not as invested in the Miko like she had been, though the stories of her did often catch her attention. Still, she never let on.
"Come on,"
"No, we came we shall we leave,"
Yara pouted,
"Stop that," His sister snapped, which only made her pouted more.
"Please I have been waiting forever to meet her,"
"Father said no,"
"No, he said not yet,"
"That means no,"
Yara looked back "But she's right there,"
"Yara,"
"Let me just buy something," She held up her wrist, showing off the red money pouch. "Come on, aren't you just the least bit curious?"
"That killed that cat you know,"
"We are dogs,"
"Because we are smarter than the cat," But she caved "You have one minute,"
"You're not coming,"
"I will watch," She was way more reserved, plus she didnt want their father to be too suspicious.
Yara smiled and walked up the little stall, which held all kinds of herbs.
"Welcome young lady!" And old man said,
Yara smiled and looked down.
"Can I help you find something?" The Miko asked,
Yara looked up but said nothing, just looked at her. Shes smiled. "Hi, I'm Kagome, what's your name?"
Yara nodded "I am called Yara,"
Kagome smiled, and Yara quickly grabbed something and paid, "Thank you!" She said in a rush and quickly rushed back to her sister. Kagome smiled and waved and then watched with a faded smile as the two girls left.
"Curious girl," Her grandfather said,
Kagome nodded numbly "She was like an old soul," She whispered before shaking her head.
She missed the past.
