"Good afternoon Lady Prewett how may I help you today?" the goblin asked as Bill who had overheard him rushed home. He glanced at Bill leaving and laughed leading her into his office where she promptly sat down.
"Well I'm assuming he's gone to tell his mother about me but I don't care if he does or not. I need to create a new account for my new family member. I also need to check where her previous large paychecks have been going as I feel her father and mother may have been stealing from her!" she said as he sat down at the other side of her listening intently.
"There is a reason that theft is a crime in here on Goblin soil. You know we're really not all that bad until you cross us. Well then let's check out the accounts of let me see what it says here ah yes Molly and Arthur Weasley. I note here that Molly was formerly a Prewett so that won't bode well for her if she has been dipping her hands into the vault.
Out in the foyer Bill bounced back through the floo as someone was using it for a floo call so he couldn't access his mum's house right now. He'd go there later on after work and talk to her. She was clearly busy right now. He glanced down at his watch and gasped all colour draining from his face. He'd not told his parents but when the war had begun he had place runes on their home clock which he'd then copied onto his own watch so he could always keep track of his family. Ginny's name wasn't there anymore and he knew that if she'd died her hand would simply go from gold to black and not fall off like it had obviously done. What the fuck had his father done? He'd kicked her from the family. That was the only way this would have happened. He had known something was up years ago but his mum had said she'd been a silly hormonal teenager and because he'd not been a girl himself he believed her. Why had they chucked her out like that? He was so hurt.
Back in the office Narcissa waited with a cup of tea as the account manager of the Weasley accounts came in looking flustered.
"To be honest Ripclaw I'm a bit confused. The Weasley's don't do much with their accounts unlike many of the other actual high profile people I serve so I rarely think of them!" he said as Ripclaw straightened up significantly.
"Slasher you know as well I do that no matter how insignificant the client you must know everything about them in case the boss randomly asks about it one day without warning which does happen. It happened to me about the Burke family the other week and because I was prepared I was promoted. Please get a ledger for all of their accounts and show me those please!" he said as the goblin apologised and left the room quickly before running back in with various files all named for the different Weasley family members. She saw as he opened each one looking for the correct how much everyone had. Bill had ten million in his account from his earnings. Charlie had nine million in his account from his job in Romania. Fred and George had twenty million in their account as they were extremely successful with the shop. Ron had ten million in his account but he'd earned none of it. He had been given it for participating in the war. He was very happy to accept it. Finally they came to Ginny's accounts and he frowned. She made six million per year working with the Hollyhead Harpies which meant that she was paid five hundred thousand galleons per month however three hundred and fifty thousand each month was being diverted into the accounts of her mother which she had tried to trick them all by listing under her maiden name of Prewett.
"Slasher! Please fill in the documentation to close this account and have all of the money which was stolen from it placed into another account which I will manage under the name of Ginevra Prewett. In total she should have twenty four million galleons. I should ask you Lady Prewett if you wish to contribute any money to her accounts?" he asked as Narcissa looked stunned at all they had done. It would seem the transfer was set up as a direct debit which their incompetent manager seemed to think was legit just because they were family. If Narcissa had her way he'd be fired effective immediately!
"Actually now that you ask me yes I do wish to contribute to her account. Give her six million from me too. I want to be notified every time she authorises someone to get money from this new account so I can ask her for safety reasons if she did it or not. Safety first!" she said as he agreed and transferred the amount into the account. The Weasley account manager was finished in ten minutes and Ginny now had her new account.
"Ripclaw I need your counsel. I noticed other fraudulent activity in their accounts and I need you to show me the new way we detect those as Hammerclaw did not get around to showing them to me yet!" he said as Ripclaw looked up in surprise.
"Yes well I know that. Please show me the file and I'll show you. I'll be with you in just a moment Lady Prewett. You see this highlighted number here Slasher? If you click on it with your leger tab like this it will tell you which account it connects to. Please do it so I can be sure you understand me!" he lectured as Slasher did as he'd been shown. He turned then addressing Narcissa who hadn't realised he would do so.
"Lady Prewett I must ask you what you think I should do next as this money dates back to 1991 and is from the account of your husband Lord Potter Black!" he said as she bristled.
"What I need you do Slasher is please tell me simply how much of the money in their account actually belongs to them!" she said seriously as he looked down once more for a moment.
"All in all they have ten thousand galleons of their own savings which have accumulated over years. I can see here that the late Albus Dumbledore authorised them to have the money in the first place. Now they will have just ten thousand galleons left and that is all. This is not the end of it I am afraid as they will need to be punished for their actions later on. We will bring this before the Wizengamot and if that fails which it might we will sentence them here. Either way they will be punished make no mistake of that!" Narcissa smiled at him and took copies of the records in a special folder home. Harry would see everything and she would show Ginny her new account. Ginny had asked Kreacher to bring her to work for a moment where her team had seen the changes in her but still accepted her none the less. Some people said she even looked better and she was relieved it wouldn't end her career. She was back just as Narcissa came through the floo. This would be interesting.
