Chapter One: I'm goddamn 12!

[You have used Observe!]

[Bat-Tech: Wayne Enterprises Computer worth tens of thousands. Runs and operates at nearly any frequency.]

Apparently, I'm in the Batcave. And apparently, I'm either hallucinating or seeing multiple screens appear in front of me.

I looked around the Batcave. I was alone apparently, both Alfred and Batman were nowhere to be found.

Wanting to know more I hit accept.

Status.

Name: Dick Grayson

Title: The Gamer

Age: 12

LV: 39 (13%)

HP: 3000/3000

Perks: Master Hacker (Enables full use of mainframe and programming knowledge)

Fight Tactician (Strong melee prowess and heightened reflexes)

Ah yes, I was now arguably the coolest character in the DCU. Except when he was 12 years old! I could be Nightwing someday, but now I was probably the weakest character in the Young Justice League.

I mean going from the Boy Wonder to the ultimate badass of the DCU was pretty um. It was gonna take some time to say the least even with the Gamer.

It was then when I turned to see the Batman looking directly at me.

"Hello Robin," he said. "Today is the day you will begin training to enter the Justice League's offshoot division in one year."

"Er," I said. "Thank you, sir."

"I have a lot of advice. But the most important is that you come prepared. As you grow accustomed to your team, it's important that you build the capability to read them. The time may come when they may turn against you. Mind control or clones and what have you."

I nodded. "Just like you did with the entire Justice League?"

He raised an eyebrow from under his cowl. "Been getting into my secret files again have you?"

"Er. No sir. Just assumed it considering how cautiously you've taken the expansion of the league."

"Hm, sharp assessment. Anyways you will encounter enemies and friends of all sorts during your time entering the League. As often as you get the chance, catalog as many strengths and weaknesses of every person you can. Be prepared for anything Robin."

"Thank you, sir."

"You have your training for the day. Let me know when you're finished."

...

I found how having the Gamer was a superpower in its own right.

With only a bit of leveling to reach all stats to over 100, having maxed out DEX, STR, and INT pretty much gave me super speed, strength, and perception. I'd imagine Robin only reached about LV 48 or so before the series began with all stats at around that level.

The Gamer sped up the learning of any skill, be it anything from tracking to Combat to Hacking. In fact in about two hours, I had raised both long and close-range combat by about five levels each and netted my second level up.

I had 10 skill points that raised a stat by one, and six ability points that instantly leveled up any skill by 5 levels. And two observation skills that automatically let me learn any skill starting a LV 1 as long as I had used observe on it.

Only by striking a punching bag as hard as I could did I unlock Power Strike that passively boosted my damage. I decided to put all six ability points immediately into Power Strike.

Then I checked how absurdly overpowered this was.

[Power Strike LV 30. Strikes the target with strong force. Increase 50% critical rate. Increase 300% attack damage.]

Then I hit the punching bag twice, on the second try the blow was so powerful I had blown the punching bag right off its metal chains connecting it to the holster.

I was curious albeit cautiously.
