Aye, Whats up everyone! I apologize for ghosting you all for a couple of months, I was dealing with Covid along with school and other complications so I needed a break. I am taking summer classes right now due to graduate in the fall so I will be active. Thanks for understanding :)
Imperium (Halo x Star Wars Old Republic)
Darth Nox swore as sparks flew from his captured Aurek class starfighter's interface while engaging in tight evasive maneuvers around various debris that would have squashed a non-force sensitive like a common bug.
The hulking triangular form of a Republic BT-7 Thunderclap blazed towards him ever hot in pursuit of its Imperial quarry.
Crimson bolts of quad laser fire streaked past his cockpit as Havoc's squad's BT-7 inched ever closer to his damaged fighter. With a barely noticeable twitch of his fingers, Valon Nox used the force to activate his long-range comms.
After a few seconds of static appeared over his fighter's mini holo display followed by a middle-aged man in Imperial Moff attire materializing. With a short bow of his head, the Moff greeted Valon but before any words can be exchanged, Valon ordered, "Pyron, there are no other Imperial ships in the vicinity save for myself, prepare to fire the Silencer!"
With a small upward twitch of his lips, the Moff eagerly and dutifully replied, "At once my Lord, we will finally exterminate those Republic dogs here on Corellia once and for all!"
Valon Nox turned his attention back to his immediate surrounding as the lock on the indicator on his interface blared its warning. "Meteor, I can almost taste your anger and uncertainty," Valon whispered to himself triumphantly as he suddenly put his engines into reverse thrust!
The fighter's superstructure around him shrieked as its durasteel frame protested against the sudden change in direction. The BT-7 Thunderclap rocketed to the front of Valon's Aurek.
Meteor of Havoc squad, having realized his fatal mistake tried desperately to shake Valon off his tail but it was to no avail. Meteor may have fought and won against lesser Sith Lords but Darth Nox was on a level unlike anything Havoc squad has fought against.
Valon fired quick three seconds bursts from his Aurek's laser cannons into the Havoc squad ship and he watched with satisfaction as the verdant green bolts of energy slagged the Hyperdrive access panel as well its sublight engines and comm array.
The famed Havoc Squad's Bt-7 Thunderclap drifted infinitely forward driven by its momentum and following its trajectory before its engines were destroyed.
Having neutered the Empire's most wanted adversary, Valon angled his fighter to face the fifty-strong Republic fleet launching shuttles and troops onto the war-torn planet.
Moff Pyron's fleet had been sitting cloaked in the system waiting for the Republic ships to finish arriving. Thanks to the genius of Imperial scientists, the Empire has managed to outfit a handful of its fleets with cloaking technology engineered from Jedi crystals on Ilum.
The Republic was already on the brink of defeat not long before the technology was discovered but Darth Marr, ever the pragmatist ordered the installation of such technologies onto the most important fleets. One of which Darth Nox's fleet.
Darth Marr along with Sith Juggernaut Darth Fury and Darth Nox were the pillars of the empire. The three stalwart leaders defeated Eternal Emperor Valkorion/Vitiate and then attacked the Republic with renewed zeal.
Valon brought his thoughts back to reality as he felt the prelude of a warning through the dark and light sides of the force. The dark side savagely salivated while the light side hung its proverbial head in despair.
Suddenly, the signature wedge-shaped hull of the Harrower class dreadnaught, Doombringer, and its escort materialized 300kms out from the Republic fleet!
Without warning, a bright orange beam of light shoots forward from within the opening between the Harrower's wedges. Its unrelenting power blinding all participants save for Valon who commanded the force.
Triumph and yet a strange sense of loss which he quickly shook away coursed throughout Valon's mind. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of sentients dying had wounded the force, not unlike that of a person.
Within the next moment, the light show ended and Valon slowly opened his eyes. The Republic relief fleets had been reduced to cracked and shattered ships of various makes. Larger pieces of debris caught in the gravity well of Corellia had already begun to fall onto the planet.
With a flick of the stick, Valon angled his Aurek towards the Doombringer after radioing Moff Pyron to capture Havoc Squad.
The cockpit opened and Valon Nox jumped out of the seat and landed onto the durasteel deck below cushioning his fall with the force.
Vette and his apprentice Aashara stood near the Valon's captured Republic fighter.
Vette whistled at the scorch marks on her commander's ship and the destruction outside and then said, "You Sith sure give a new meaning to the phrase, go hard or go home."
Aashara just smiled deviously and added, "My master is no ordinary sith, Vette."
Valon had now crossed the distance to his lover and friend and suddenly, Aashara embraces the man in a tight hug before passionately sticking her tongue in his mouth. Valon returned the gesture while Vette stood bemused nearby.
"Yeah that's all nice and well but can you two do that later? We still have to talk to the Moff." Vette said with a half-amused grin.
Valon broke off his kiss with his lover and replied, "Yes, we will speak to Pyron as well as formulate our next plan in this war."
As Vette made and the two lovers made their way to the bridge as professional as two lovers who have just come back on perilous light threatening missions can be, various soldiers and crewmen saluted Valon all the while staring at him in barely contained awe and respect.
Valon's thoughts wandered as he remembered the day he arrived as a slave on the Sith Academy at Korriban. That fool Harkuun tried to whittle him down and belittle him but Valon knew he was destined to be great.
Then he was chosen by his old Master Zash, who had him bind the Dashade of Tulak Horde to himself along with sending him on a wild hunt for artifacts to make him "stronger." Little did he know his master intended to steal his body for her own. Valon thought sentimentally as he remembered the force ghost of his ancestor Lord Kallig who helped him throughout his journey as an apprentice.
As a sign of respect, Valon wears his ancestor's battle mask regularly to inspire fear in his enemies as well as courage in his troops.
Valon chuckled to himself when he learned the technique of Force Walking which enabled him to bind ghosts to himself but at the expense of mental and bodily instability. The wild adventure to heal himself and defeat that fool Darth Thanaton had earned him many allies and friends.
Then the ambush at the Eternal Throne, Darth Marr had brazenly seized a Zakuulan Knight's force pike and charged the deranged Valkorion earning him a stream of powerful force lightning from Valkorion which threw him to the ground sending him to within an inch of his life.
But Valon, having both mastered the light and dark sides of the force grabbed the Eternal Emperor Valkorion with the force and choked him to within a hairsbreadth of death and then in such a display of compassion that would've marked him as weak were it not for his power, he transferred enough of Valkorion's life essence into the barely alive Marr to make to heal him. Yet as a Sith, he did not return Marr to his full power for some rivals were better left weaker. Valon then kept the remaining power of Valkorion's essence for himself.
Arcann, having been knocked unconscious earlier in the fighter saw the carnage in the room and he along with the Zakuulan Knights charged Valon only to be stopped by a wall of invisible force energy! Valon mentally smiled with satisfaction as he remembered force crushing the Zakuulan Knights inside their armor and mind dominating Prince Arcann to abdicate his right to the Eternal throne in favor of joining the Empire.
With Zakuulan technology and aid, the Empire had all but won its war with the Republic and Corellia was one of the Republic's final bastions, now it laid conquered below them.
Valon brought himself back to the present as he and his friends neared the bridge, after being subjected to a thorough security scan, the trio walked into the spacious enclosure.
Moff Pyron walked confidently towards Valon and gave him a smart and short bow. Valon nodded and said, "Excellent work Pyron, our plan worked to its full fruition."
Moff Pyron replied, "Indeed my Lord, your feint of destroying one of Corellia's mining colonies was exactly the diversion we needed for my fleet to jump in unnoticed. You would want a situational report on Havoc Squad, they are being sent to the brig as we speak with none less than Cipher Nine leading their escort."
Valon nodded and said, "I will interrogate them, but while I am here." Valon then gestured to the holo terminal and a projection of the Kuat and Corsuca systems appear in place. Valon then continued, "With the capture of Corellia and its shipyards, the Republic has only one final major manufacturing hub in the Kuat sector. That will be our next target. We will begin preliminary planning once I have finished interrogating Havoc squad."
Moff Pyron looked dutifully at Valon and said, "As you command, in the meantime I will be taking the fleet to Rendili to offload our current crew for a full bacta treatment as you commanded."
Valon then replied, "Very good Pyron." Valon then tilted his head and asked, "How is Project Cerebral?"
The Moff smiled at the interested Valon had shown in his personal research project. Darth Nox had always been one to never put his men in a position in which he himself would not be.
Thus instead of finding an impossible cure for the constant radiation sickness that plagued the men who crewed the Silencer cannon, the Dark Lord had instead opted for a more ingenious route by funding the Moff's Artificial Intelligence project in hopes that it will someday replace the organics that were slowly being poisoned by the superweapon.
The Moff beamed with pride and replied, "Project Cerebral has finished its prototype testing stage and is ready to be mass-produced by Rendili once we have handed over the schematics." The Moff paused for effect and then added, "The A.I. exceeds the computational power of any known droid in existence, it can even pilot and fight using this ship and theoretically can even command entire fleets."
Valon nodded his approval and said, "With the decrease in needed manpower, we will more efficiently allocate our human capital by fielding bigger fleets to finally crush the Republic." Valon smiled and then added, "That is all Pyron, keep up the excellence, I expect nothing less from a man like you."
With this said, Valon gave a short bow of respect to his subordinate that was most untraditional of a Sith Lord, and then exited the bridge.
Aashara was the first to speak as the trio headed to the mess hall to fuel their hungry bodies after their respective missions. Aashara softly said, "I thought the Republic and the Jedi valued lives but even with all the resources at their disposal they never thought of the need to save men and women from the horrors of war with an artificial intelligence fighting in the place."
Vette snorted and replied, "That's one way to look at it, remember what Valon said? The in the end those people will still fight, the end result is that fleets will be bigger and more numerous."
Aashara then interjected, "Vette, you never manage to see the bigger picture, once this war is over we will have peace."
Vette snorted even louder and said, "Did you even read the Sith code? Peace is a Lie?"
Aashara frowned but before she could say anything Valon replied to Vette, "Certain things are going to change if we are to survive as a society and that includes part of that archaic code, we will not devolve to infighting after destroying our enemies." He paused and looked at his two companions and continued with conviction, "We are Sith, not Jedi, we adapt and we will always survive."
Aashara then gave Vette a smug look and replied, "Told you, he's a different kind of Sith."
Vette tried to retort but then stopped because she didn't have anything verbal ammunition to hit back at Valon's logical explanation. She then pouted for a bit while Valon said to Aashara, "How was your mission to slay the Green Jedi Grandmaster, my love?"
Aashara replied, "That Cathar was powerful...for a Jedi, but as you've said, true power comes from mastery of both sides of the force."
Aashara then recounted her fight with the Cather Grandmaster, "We were locked blades on the hull of a half-completed Hammerhead Class Cruiser.
I momentarily shut down the blade of my lightsaber and he lurched forward."
She paused for effect as she felt Valon and Vetter lean in with their attention captivated by her story.
She then continued, "He almost stumbled down the side of the ship but he managed to slow himself down using the force and then somersaulted and force jumped off a protruding piece of metal to try to bisect me in two! But instead of rolling out of the way, I concentrated through the force and crushed his lightsaber in while he was in midair. The Jedi was unable to alter his momentum and he killed himself upon my own activated blade."
Vette clapped and whistled while Valon said, "Excellent work my love, you are well on your way to becoming a Darth."
Aashara smiled at her master and lover's approval and then asked, "Thank you, Valon."
Vette then asked Valon, "Yeah yeah but what about me? I lured Havoc Squad to Corelli-"
Valon interrupted her with a mock stern look and replied, "Along with two fleets of the Republic's finest."
Vette, not knowing it was a joke then defended herself by saying, "How am I suppose to know the Republic it was a trap? It all worked out in the end though, with us destroying a few of the last Republic fleets and capturing Corellia."
To which Valon replied with a laugh, "Vette you are so silly, remind me to show you the secret to eternal life after this war is over."
Vette's eyes bulged out of the sockets and she stood there shocked while Valon and Aashara walked ahead, she took a minute to compose her thoughts before running after her companions while saying, "Wait, wait, wait, how did you? No way!"
Valon and Aashara laughed as Vette made her way back to them along with an astounded and worried look on her face. Vette then asked, "You're not going to go all crazy Sith like Valk or Vitiate or whatever you call him, right?"
This time Valon gave Vette a stern look for real and replied, "In all the years you have known me Vette, would I kill an entire galaxy just to become more powerful? When I am already near-immortal?"
Vette frowned and then a mollified expression appeared on her face and she replied, "No, if your actions are anything to judge you by. But I don't know if I want to live forever."
Valon laughed and said, "It's a one-time offer Vette, but you don't have to give me an answer now."
Just as Vette was about to say something, the Doombringer's intercom announced that it will be entering Hyperspace. Valon suddenly stumbled as a massive disturbance in the force hit him like a tidal wave. His mind seared by force conjured scenes and voices Countless worlds were reduced to glass and giant Alien species that sought to exterminate what appears to be primitive spacefaring humans. The force was in pain and Valon can feel it almost like it were his own.
Just as abruptly as it started the vision ended, Valon cracked open his eyes and he noticed that he was kneeling on the durasteel floor of the ship with Vette and Aashara along with various soldiers looking worriedly at their commander.
Valon got back up to his feet rubbed his forehead and with his other hand he waved off the soldiers leaving only his two companions.
Aashara looked worriedly at her lover and said, "That wave of force affected you more than it did I, Master." Valon uttered, "I had a force vision, I saw what looked like primitive humans being exterminated by a conglomerate of aliens that I do not recognize."
He frowned and then continued, "Their brutality surpassing even our own, they slagged every planet their conquered, this was as much as what the force told me."
Aashara then frowned and replied, "Force visions are either completely true or completely false, judging from the Aliens in your vision not matching any we've encountered, I would likely say that it's a false vision."
Valon stared seriously at Aashara and said, "No, this is one that was real, I've experienced force visions that have come to pass before and I know this one will come to pass."
Aashara replied, "If there are hostile Aliens lurking in the unknown regions, we must be r-"
She was interrupted as the intercom blared for all crew to go to battle stations. In the next second, the trio's communicators lit up with Moff Pyron stating, "My Lord, you are needed on the bridge ASAP, a situation has happened and I have deemed it necessary to cloak the fleet but please make haste!"
