Forbes House
A few minutes after Scott and Tyler separated found Scott at the house, knocking, having decided to start with Caroline because he was putting off seeing Stefan again.
The possibility of being the reason Stefan's late brother Damon died, Rebekah having killed Stefan's late girlfriend Elena and having taken Stefan's abilities away being the reasons.
"Who is it?!" Elizabeth asked on her way to the door; gun in hand in case the Council sent someone to finish the job.
"Scott!" Scott answered, and Elizabeth recognized his voice pretty quickly, causing her to pause, squeezing the gun.
"What do you want?" She questioned.
"To check up on Caroline, as a friend."
"She's asleep, you can come back tomorrow."
Caroline, who was woken up by Elizabeth asking who was knocking, groggily asked Scott to tell Elizabeth to let him in, hoping that he would catch her voice after calling his name a few times.
"She just woke up and asked me to ask you to let me in."
"Do you expect me to believe that?"
"No. But she does."
A few moments later found Elizabeth putting her gun away and opening the door and after checking if Scott was alone and a short greeting, invited him into the house before closing the door.
"I'm sorry that I came unannounced and so late." Scott apologized.
"I'm guessing this is usual for you since you're a 'king'."
"Not really."
"Wait here," Elizabeth instructed, and left Scott in the living room to check on Caroline and as she did so, Scott saw her gun on her waist but said nothing, having survived bullets from guns with a lot more power from the last Dead-pool assassins.
When Elizabeth arrived in Caroline's bedroom, she found her indeed awake although not fully.
"How are you feeling, sweetie?" Elizabeth asked, sitting beside her bed.
"A little weak," Caroline replied.
"It's the vervain still in your system," Elizabeth responded. "If you're still weak, why did you ask Scott to ask me to let him in?"
"He's a friend, mom," Caroline said.
"Since when?"
"Since a few months ago."
"Is that vampire Kol a friend too?" Elizabeth asked.
"Definitely not! But it seems like he wants to be one."
"Please tell me you're not his 'potential guest of honour."
"OK. I won't." Caroline replied, avoiding eye contact.
"Caroline..."
"Scott's waiting, mom!" Caroline reminded.
"We're not done here," Elizabeth told Caroline, before leaving to get Scott.
Caroline took the time to make herself a little presentable in the meantime and heard Elizabeth thank Scott for coming to the rescue earlier and by the time they reached her bedroom; she was as presentable as one could be after waking up, sitting up on the bed.
"Hey!" Caroline greeted Scott upon his entry.
"Hey." Scott returned the greeting. "How are you?"
"I'm..." Caroline went to reply but paused upon realizing that Elizabeth had no plans of leaving the room. "Mom?"
"I might be grateful but I'm not about to leave you alone in your bedroom with a boy I don't know," Elizabeth responded, crossing her arms.
"Mom, please. You're embarrassing me!"
At that, Scott grinned a little.
"What's embarrassing about chaperoning my daughter?" Elizabeth asked.
"Nothing at all, Sheriff Forbes," Scott replied, smiling.
"Then why are you smiling?" Caroline questioned.
"It's been a while since I last saw my mother and this is probably one of the few most genuine and ordinary and simple moments I've seen in the last few weeks. It's kind of refreshing and reminds me that although I have all this power and all these titles, I'm still just a kid." Scott said.
His response served as an eye-opener for Elizabeth on a level she didn't think was possible, for she could relate because, at the end of the day, when she gets out of work uniform and puts her service gun in its safe, she was just a mother and a woman, although she has forgotten how to be just a woman.
That last part was a bit shocking because she just realized it as a fact.
After Bill left and she was left alone to raise Caroline, Liz the Wife and Liz the Woman gave way to Liz the Mother and Liz the Law Enforcer and as time went on, Liz the Wife met her end and Liz the Woman faded way back into the background.
"Mom. Mom!"
"Huh?" Elizabeth responded absentmindedly.
"Could you please stop staring at Scott like that?" Caroline requested.
"Wha...? Oh. Sorry." Elizabeth replied, realizing that she was staring at Scott while lost in thought. "Fine. I'll leave you alone, but keep the door open."
"OK," Caroline said, but a few moments after Elizabeth left, she asked Scott to close the door.
"But your mother..."
"Has a lot on her mind and isn't going to check on us for some time. I like my bedroom door closed when I'm inside. So, please close the door, Scott."
Scott did as he was asked before sitting on the chair Elizabeth had been using while Caroline settled in.
"How are you?" He asked again.
"Tired but alive. Thanks to you, Bonnie, your pack, and I can't believe I'm saying this, and Kol." Caroline replied.
"How are you beyond alive?"
"A lot of other things I don't want to talk about," Caroline responded.
"Alright. Well, I just came to check up on you and..."
"Don't leave yet." Caroline interrupted with a request.
"Uh, OK," Scott said, and they sat in silence for a few moments.
"Bonnie filled me in on everything before I was kidnapped so that I won't be in the dark during dinner tomorrow night," Caroline informed.
Scott acknowledged that, understanding why Bonnie did it and that whatever Bonnie told Caroline was now supernatural public knowledge and his tribrid status was probably making rounds. But he had to ask.
"You're still going?" Scott asked.
"Yeah."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Scott."
"Does this mean that Kol was successful in convincing you to be his guest of honour?" Scott inquired.
"This means I'll get to see if you can back up your 'Apex of Apex Predators' claim if something happens," Caroline replied.
"You don't believe it even after what I did earlier?"
"You might be a tribrid and all, but unless you're an original vampire-werewolf-witch tribrid, I won't believe it until you prove it," Caroline responded, hoping Scott would reveal if he was a new original vampire tribrid if that was possible, or not.
"Whether you believe it or not doesn't matter," Scott stated with a small shrug. "I know my status in the food chain and I don't need or feel the need to prove it."
"You know, it's amazing how you said that without sounding overconfident," Caroline said with a yawn, sleep opening its warm embrace again, aware Scott didn't touch the topic about being an original. "I guess that girl, Lydia, based her tip to Kol on you."
"Or a trait she likes in a guy," Scott suggested and then asked when Caroline yawned again. "Why don't you get some sleep?"
"Not yet," Caroline replied, even though she was struggling to keep her eyes open. "Let's talk some more."
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Anything," Caroline responded.
"In that case, Tyler asked me to check up on you," Scott revealed, surprising Caroline. "You and Stefan."
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah. He's sorry about what happened and that his mother is part of the group that tried to kill you and Stefan."
"Well, my mother is part of it too," Caroline said.
Scott was grateful that Melissa and Rafael weren't from werewolf hunting families or part of such a group, but he was glad one came to town and he got to meet Allison. Allison.
He hated that he had the power to bring back everyone he lost but couldn't because of the consequences of doing that. Hence Scott appreciated everyone he has left. The thought brought him to those who left the pack and Beacon Hills; Ethan, Isaac and Kira.
Although Ethan was never an official member of McCall Pack, something Scott regretted not granting Aiden and Ethan, he still crossed Scott's mind sometimes and he wondered if Deucalion knew where Ethan was.
When it came to Isaac, Scott knew that Isaac was living a normal life in France, sponsored by Chris. As for Kira, Scott knew where he could find her and wondered if he would be welcomed if he visited. A visit was long overdue, but now wasn't the time to think about that.
When Scott returned his attention to Caroline, he found her fast asleep and took that as his mark to leave and did just that, closing the bedroom door behind him.
"How is it you're so young and yet a leader of your gang-pack and a king of a city?" Elizabeth asked Scott, aware there were such things as 'kings' of certain places in the underworld, and now it seemed the supernatural world too, waiting for him at the front door. "Or do you just appear young?"
"I'm eighteen going on nineteen this year," Scott replied. "And truthfully, it feels like it all just happened. Not long ago, I was just an ordinary boy with a single best friend for a friend until things took a turn one night and never returned to ordinary again, no matter how much I tried.
Fast-forward a few years and I'm alpha to multiple packs that form a large one and a king of a city, surrounded by extraordinary people I call my best friends and pack. How is it I'm so young yet a leader with my status? I don't know.
I've only tried to do what I think is right and I'm lucky enough to have people who believe in me and my cause and support me and think that I'm worthy of their loyalty and being followed."
"I didn't expect that," Elizabeth responded honestly, having expected at least a little cocky reply. "How old were you the night things took a turn?"
"Sixteen," Scott answered; aware Elizabeth was falling into her sheriff mindset. "Thank you for letting me see Caroline, Sheriff Forbes. She's asleep again, so..."
"Join me for coffee. I have a few questions for you."
"I can't. It's late and I have somewhere else to go before returning to my apartment."
"How about brunch or lunch tomorrow, then?" Elizabeth proposed.
"I already have plans." Scott turned it down.
"Alright, but at least tell me what you know about Kol and how much of a threat werewolves are to Caroline."
"The only thing I can tell you about Kol is that he's one of the oldest and most dangerous vampires in world history and not to be messed with, along with his family," Scott replied. "I only met him and Klaus earlier today but trust me; they're far more dangerous than the vampires you've been dealing with.
I strongly advise you against doing to Kol and his family what the Council tried to do to Caroline and Stefan and did to all the vampires before them. What Kol said about my pack and me and what we did to Vampire Faction should tell you how much of a threat werewolves are to vampires.
Speaking for my pack, though; unless provoked, we will not be a threat to anyone. Goodnight, Sheriff Forbes."
With that Scott left, leaving Elizabeth with a lot of questions which she resolved to ask Caroline.

"Why do we still have to ration blood?" Oscar questioned Lillian, drinking coffee mixed with a teaspoon of blood acquired by Beau and Lucas from Beacon Hills Hospital.
After their arrival, Lucas and Olivia took the Heretics, and a still unconscious Joshua, to a boarding house just outside Mystic Falls, the same one Cora, Malia and Rebekah, along with MPGs, were staying at although they haven't crossed paths.
"It has been our way of life for over a century, Oscar," Lillian answered, sipping her coffee.
"But it doesn't have to be anymore," Nora replied, although her attention was mostly on a show she was watching on the television.
"Not if we want to be discovered before we reunite with Lorenzo and hopefully Malcolm. We have to maintain a low profile until our family is whole again."
"I just spoke with Lorenzo," Olivia said, entering the room the Heretics and Lucas were in. "He's still in Portland."
"Did you ask about Malcolm?" Lillian inquired.
"No," Olivia replied. "You'll get the chance to ask Lorenzo tomorrow. We're flying to Portland tomorrow morning."
That was music to Lucas' ears, for he missed home and his mother. He knew that she was worried and so was the coven due to his, Olivia and Joshua's disappearance but their worries were going to be put to rest tomorrow.

After Stefan shared his suspicion and thoughts with Alaric, he went to sleep in Elena's bedroom, leaving Alaric alone to think about the possibilities. Alaric wondered if Stefan was right, what were Scott's motives, especially with the revelation that Klaus and Kol knew Scott.
As much as Scott and Liam seemed like good kids, Alaric couldn't help but wonder if the whole reason Scott befriended Bonnie and the others was to get Elena's necklace, a necklace Stefan revealed to have belonged to Rebekah before he found it after Klaus compelled and left him.
The revelation that Scott destroyed Vampire Faction, the apparently strongest faction in New Orleans, well, former strongest, to become the Alpha of Werewolf Faction and the King of New Orleans was unsettling and eroded any impression of Scott being just a good kid.
It also made Alaric wonder if Scott was the person who Klaus and Rebekah were running away from. Sure Scott appeared too young and werewolves didn't have eternal youth like vampires, well, at least Alaric didn't think so, but after Klaus possessed his body, Alaric kept an open mind.
And that open mind was coming up with a lot of theories and those theories all led to one conclusion; Scott was far more dangerous than they initially thought. Cunning too to have managed to make them believe he was a goodhearted and an ordinary werewolf who saved random birds.
The question now, though, was whether or not confronting Scott about everything was a good idea. However, before Alaric could think more about the answer to that question, a knock on the front door drew his attention and he went to answer it.
"Good evening, Mr Saltzman."
The subject of Alaric's thoughts greeted him once he opened the door, and for some reason, he wondered if thinking about Scott summoned him.
"Er, Scott!" Alaric responded, and was painfully aware his voice went up an octave or two. "What are you doing here?"
"Just checking up on Stefan," Scott replied.
"He's asleep at the moment," Alaric said.
"Oh. Um, how is he, though?"
"He's fine," Alaric answered. "But I'm surprised that you came to check on Stefan."
"Tyler asked me to check up on Caroline and Stefan."
"Why would he do that when he could do it himself?" Alaric questioned.
"Stefan told you what happened, right?" Scott asked.
"He did."
"Including what almost and what happened to Tyler's mother?"
"Yes."
"Then you have your answer, Mr Saltzman," Scott stated. "Please tell Stefan that I'll see him around."
With that, Scott left, his nose had picked up on Alaric's chemosignals and the fear and mistrust, amongst other emotions, in them towards him, and called Tyler to inform him on how Caroline and Stefan were on the way to the boarding house.

The Boarding House
Upon his arrival at the boarding house, Scott was greeted by Mira who pulled him aside to tell him something.
"What is it, Mira?" Scott asked.
"We caught a few scents of what appears to be an odd mixture of vampire and witch scents, like a hybrid of the two," Mira revealed.
"But that's..."
"Impossible?" Oba inquired, joining them along with Juan and Luna.
"You are the contradiction of impossible, King Alpha," Luna said.
"We each smelled the scents on our separate patrols and they are accompanied by two completely witch scents, one completely vampire and one human with a hint of a witch," Juan added.
"Um, how many?" Scott asked.
"About five, so that's a group of nine, probably a coven," Mira replied. "The oldest scents are of the whole group, probably upon their arrival here."
"Have you told the others?"
"We haven't. They're asleep in the television room." Luna responded.
"OK. Uh, leave them alone for the moment." Scott instructed. "Raven2 will take over patrol duty inside and outside the building and he'll keep you updated. We crossed paths with Klaus and Kol and they invited us to dinner tomorrow.
They know who I am and what happened in New Orleans, so I want you to lay low here while Lydia, SPGs and I deal with things in Mystic Falls."
"Kol? As in...?" Juan inquired.
"Yes. Klaus woke him up." Scott said. "I'll cast a privacy spell before I go to sleep so you can speak freely."
"Are you OK?" Oba asked.
"Yeah. I just... My wolf eyes reacted with Klaus' when we locked eyes for the first time." Scott revealed. "I, I think he felt something."
"He did," Mira replied. "Werewolves with blood relations recognize each other on some level, but it's usually in wolf form."
"Except for that pack." Juan said, emphasizing on 'that', and they all suddenly realized what that meant, except Scott.
"Which pack?" Scott inquired, but none of the MPGs wanted to answer.
There was only one pack, whose members recognized each other even in their human form, and that pack was a royal bloodline pack and it was not on friendly terms, an understatement, with Crescent Wolf Pack, Luna's pack, hence the others looked at her.
"Luna?" Scott asked.
"North-East Atlantic Pack. A royal bloodline pack." Luna answered. "Crescent Wolf Pack and North-East Atlantic Pack have a long-standing bitter rivalry that's said to be as old as the werewolf species itself. And it seems like you and Klaus descend from North-East Atlantic Pack."
Scott took that in, and let it sink in silently, the others allowing him to do so as they too let the discovery sink in.
"So this is the real reason Jackson, Mary and Oliver tried to attack me when they first smelled my scent." Scott realized. "This is why Mary was against my challenge against Jackson."
"That makes sense," Juan said. "Werewolves are older than vampires and when vampires tried to kill off the werewolf species, werewolves developed an instinct to hunt and kill vampires above weaker prey like humans.
If two packs have been at odds with each other for as long as Crescent Wolf Pack and North-East Atlantic Pack have been, they probably developed some kind of instinct to detect members of the other pack and react violently."
"But I don't react violently to Scott's scent," Luna responded, she actually liked Scott's wolf scent.
"There are always exceptions and younger generations tend to deviate from older generations and their beliefs," Juan responded. "And in more ways than one, you (Scott) rebirthed Crescent Wolf Pack and all our packs in your image.
It's not a surprise no one from Crescent Wolf Pack seems to identify you as an enemy now."
"Do you have a problem with me now, Luna?" Scott asked.
"My former Alpha submitted to you and so did Crescent Wolf Pack and you have proven yourself as a competent Alpha and leader. This discovery changes nothing for me, King Alpha." Luna replied, looking Scott in the eye before bowing her head in submission, eyes cast on the floor.
"What about you?" Scott asked the others.
"I don't have any problem with you. You are my Alpha and my King, King Alpha." Oba answered, following Luna's example.
"No problems here," Mira said, following Luna and Oba's example.
"Well, this changes everything," Juan stated and earned everyone's surprised attention due to the trend the others set. "This discovery cements your (Scott's) royalty status just like defeating Jackson cemented your alpha status amongst Bayou and New Orleans werewolf community and defeating Lucien cemented your New Orleans kingship.
I don't have a problem with you, King Alpha. You're the Undisputed King Alpha of New Beacon Pack and King of the Bayou and New Orleans, by blood, by conquest and by the people's declaration."
Juan ended with following his fellow guards' example.
"I don't know about being undisputed but thanks, guys." Scott voiced his gratitude and the MPGs acknowledged it before they retreated to their bedrooms, leaving Scott with much on his mind.
He wondered if Klaus knew which pack his biological father Ansel belonged to but not for long because he had a job to do. Scott went about doing the privacy spell he said that he was going to do, using his blood, blood magic and runes.
Afterwards, he switched off the television and shut down the laptop before carrying Cora to her bedroom, took off her shoes, socks and jacket before putting her to bed and did the same with Rebekah and then with Malia, wondering how their day was.
Truthfully, Scott wasn't sure about leaving Rebekah with Cora and Malia since Rebekah seemed closer to Lydia compared to Cora and Malia who were closer to each other and the traces of anger he picked up from Rebekah's chemosignal print got him a little concerned.
But since the MPGs didn't say anything and Cora and Malia didn't particularly match Rebekah's anger, Scott hoped for the best until morning.

Early morning found Stefan drinking a glass of blood in the kitchen, feeling a lot better than yesterday although his mind was racing. He couldn't get the possibility of Scott being the one who took his vampire abilities away out of his mind.
The fact that Klaus, Kol and Scott knew each other and had plans of having dinner didn't help. It gave the idea that maybe, just maybe, Scott being in Mystic Falls a while ago was all part of Klaus' plan which included weakening Stefan and retrieving Rebekah's necklace.
"You're up early." Alaric interrupted Stefan's thoughts, joining him in the kitchen and preparing himself coffee.
"I slept early," Stefan responded. "And I have a lot on my mind."
"You have Scott on your mind, you mean."
"I can't get him out of my mind, Ric," Stefan replied, facing Alaric. "The Scott I saw yesterday isn't the same Scott we met when he was last here. It's like this Scott is the real Scott, the real thing, and the real thing is powerful enough to put an original vampire in his place and keep him there.
The moment he entered the room, he was in control and even Kol knew it less than a minute later. The way Scott responded to Kol saying that he was an original and Scott's 'little wolf bite' couldn't kill him...
Scott said that he didn't need to bite Lucien to kill him and he didn't need to bite Kol to kill him either."
"Who is Lucien?" Alaric asked, this being the first time Stefan mentioned Lucien.
"I don't know. What I know is that Scott thought he was worth bringing up to put Kol in his place right before he had a member of his pack scream at Kol. I don't even know what she is. There's a lot we don't know about Scott."
"Well, we know that he's such good friends with Tyler that he doesn't mind doing Tyler a favour and checking on you and Caroline for him."
"What?"
"Tyler asked Scott to check on you and Caroline because he didn't want to leave his mother alone with vampire blood still in her system and because Scott is such a good friend, he did," Alaric informed, and with his coffee done, he joined Stefan at the table. "He was here last night while you were asleep.
And he asked me to tell you that he'll see you around."
"I'll see him around too, then," Stefan said. "I need to know if he's the one who took my powers away."
"Word of advice; don't confront him with Damon's mentality," Alaric advised in-between drinking his coffee. "I think there's a possibility Scott might be the person you've been looking for, the person Klaus and Rebekah were running away from."
"What makes you think that?"
"Klaus left town around the same time Scott arrived in town." Alaric began to list. "Scott befriended Bonnie and Caroline, Elena's closest friends, and Tyler, the only werewolf we know in town, and claimed he had some kind of connection with Elena's necklace and it 'reacted' to him.
Somehow, both you and Greta lost your abilities while Scott was in town and you both worked for Klaus. I have a theory about this; if Scott is the one who took your powers, maybe he planned to give them back to you in exchange for Elena's necklace until she voluntarily gave it to him.
Since the necklace once belonged to Rebekah, maybe he wanted it so that he could find Rebekah and then Klaus. Since Rebekah ran away, maybe Scott found her and is now after Klaus."
"Why would Klaus invite Scott to dinner if that's the case?" Stefan asked.
"He broke the curse and maybe he feels the odds are on his side now because he has something that he didn't have in the twentieth century; a hybrid pack," Alaric replied. "Think about it, Stefan. Scott doesn't have a reason to be in Mystic Falls, but he is, at the same time as Klaus.
And Klaus 'invited' him to 'dinner'. We know how invitations to Klaus' house end."
Stefan found himself giving Alaric's theory some deep thought and he couldn't say it wasn't a possibility. But...
"Maybe I should visit Bonnie. She brought Scott and his pack with her to the Town Hall." He said. "She's friends with Scott and her father made a deal with Klaus, so maybe she could know something. We didn't get the chance to speak on our way here."
"Just be careful."

The Boarding House
While the day started on a heavy note for Alaric and Stefan, Malia's began on light and warm note in the arms of her sleeping boyfriend and she savoured it, having missed him.
After a while, however, she got out of bed, shower in her mind since they didn't have their bedroom showers at the boarding house, and collected everything she needed before leaving the bedroom.
But just as Malia was about to leave their rooms to go to the shower room in their section, Luna and Mira suddenly appeared from their bedrooms, carrying their shower necessities.
Though nothing was really out of the ordinary, something told Malia that something was up.
"What's going on?" She questioned before any morning greetings could be exchanged, and Luna and Mira revealed their findings.
"What's this century?" Rebekah made her presence known after they were done. "The bloody century of Nature's vacation?"
"Sure seems like it," Malia responded. "They better not be the Dread Doctors' work, or else I'll resurrect them and kill them myself."
"Speaking of resurrection." Scott made his presence known, already dressed although in the clothes he wore yesterday. "Kol is up and running."
"What?" Rebekah questioned, surprised.
"Klaus un-daggered Kol and we met them yesterday," Scott revealed. "And Klaus invited us to dinner tonight at his house, Bonnie and Caroline too."
"Klaus invited us to dinner?" Malia asked, wondering what she missed.
"Well, me and my friends. I was with Ayanda and Sky and Bonnie and Caroline. Since he said I could bring my friends, I'm extending the invitation to Charl'z, Hinata and Lydia."
"I'm inviting myself, then," Malia stated.
"Let me guess; Nik knows who you are," Rebekah said at the same time as Malia, still surprised that Klaus revived Kol, but then again, with Elijah having tried to permanently kill him and Finn not an option, only Kol was left since she left Klaus.
But with Kol's antics and Klaus' pack still relatively young, Rebekah thought Klaus would wait a little longer before reviving Kol who was likely to kill the hybrids like she did to get back at Klaus.
"No and yes," Scott replied. "We can't put all our eggs in one basket, Malia. Especially after what happened yesterday."
"What happened?" Cora inquired, joining the others.
"The local Town Council kidnapped Caroline and Stefan with the intent to kill them because they found out that they're vampires. Kol came to their rescue, well, probably Caroline's." Scott responded. "As it turns out, both Caroline and Tyler's mothers are part of the Council.
Kol held Tyler's mother hostage and intended to turn her to teach the Council a lesson. We arrived before he could and made him release her after he refused to."
"How?" Rebekah asked.
"Let me show you," Scott said, and Rebekah allowed him to use vampire mind-melding and he shared his memories of what happened with her and then Cora and Malia, although he omitted and altered the memory of what happened with Lydia and the spell.
"It seems Kol thought you were just a werewolf until you showed your witch abilities," Malia noted.
"Yeah."
"You should expect Kol to pay you back," Rebekah told Scott, while internally wondering how long they were going to keep his true heritage secret from Klaus and Kol and if she was going to be able to withstand the conflict of interest in family matters when Klaus and Scott inevitably lock fangs.
"I am. That's why the only people I'm going to the dinner with are those he already knows about, plus Hinata. You will be in charge of everything, Malia, if something..."
"Nothing is going to happen to you, Scott." Rebekah interrupted, and for the first time, she saw Scott as nothing but her beloved nephew, not her forbidden love. "If you and Nik and Kol appear to be even slightly close to destroying each other, I'll break my promise and reveal everything.
We have been the strongest beings in the world for centuries but our immortal lives have been hopeless, without meaning. You might be the only person who can break the cycle we've fallen into and repair the damage we caused to our family over the centuries.
I don't want you to join the cycle and I'm going to do anything and everything I have to do to ensure that never happens. You're not just my anchor and hope, Scott. You are our family's future and only hope.
We thought the vampire species was our legacy, a legacy to replace the one father and mother took from us when they made us vampires, but true legacy can't be replaced because it's in blood, and you are our blood.
You are Nik's legacy, the Original Witch's legacy, our legacy, Scott."
