Previously in Gone in the Wind:
"Tell me, what is your biggest fear?" Michael asked with a grin.
"That won't be you. I will make sure of that." Came a voice from behind Michael.
"Thank the Lord." Mario sighed. It was still strange though. It was like seeing one person, but double. He shook his head in confusion. He knew twins could look alike, but these were really identical.
"Sorry, my friend, but you have the wrong deity I am afraid. Although sometimes Michael thinks he is Dad." Lucifer grinned while Dan passed the two angels quickly and went straight to Mario. He had seen the look on the Italian man's face.
"Mario, go and hide, take Daniel with you. I will take care of my brother." Lucifer said.
Chapter 13:
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my fallen brother," Michael smiled evilly, "I was right, wasn't I? Beatrice is hiding in here and I will find her after I have dealt with you."
Lucifer grinned while walking inside, "You will have to go through me, brother." The venom in the devil's voice was obvious. There was no sibling he hated more than his twin brother Michael. Amenadiel had always been a close second since he dragged him back to Hell every single time. Since the devil and the dark-skinned angel were making amends the hatred had faded away.
"That would be my absolute pleasure. That would mean that I can finally step out of the shadow of the Lightbringer." Michael said with an evil voice. Michael hated Lucifer just as much if not more, "Even after your fall I need to live in your shadow. It shouldn't be that way, Sammy. I am and always will be the better half of this set."
"Dream on, Mikey." Lucifer grinned. He wasn't about to let that nickname bother him because that was exactly what his twin wanted to achieve.
He knew though from earlier, from before his fall that Michael hated his nickname just as much. It was just a case of who was going to break first. Being the king of Hell did help him right now, the skill to hide your feelings because it could be used against you in battle. He couldn't show weakness in the presence of demons.
"Don't call me that!" Michael growled before raising his fist towards Lucifer. This was what the devil had been counting on. So he couldn't help but grin right before he stopped the fist going for his face. His eyes glowing red with the sudden rage he felt boiling now.
He smacked the palm of his other hand against Michael's chest. He tried to channel all the anger he felt in that push. He would pay his friend for a brand-new store and even a brand-new house when all of this was over because whether he liked it or not this fight was going to be messy.
Michael flew through the door with the one-sided mirror into the patio against the furthest wall. Michael shook his head to try and take away the dizziness that came with that smack and the bricks falling on his head.
Michael felt slightly confused by his brother's sudden strength. He had always known his twin was just as strong the moment he threw his brother down in the pits of Hell. Michael had been training like crazy ever since but what he didn't anticipate was that his brother had grown stronger too. That he had been training in those same pits of Hell.
The angel wasn't about to give up though as shrugged his shoulder to make his wings appear. He didn't even hesitate to use them. So he ripped Lucifer's shirt into pieces. Lucifer looked down at the torn shirt and the wound at his chest coming with it.
"Hey, you stupid feathered prick, that's an Armani," Lucifer growled. He found the fact that Michael had ruined the shirt much worse than the wound that the wings had made. The wound would heal in the end anyway. It would be like it never happened before. Try ruling over a horde of Demons and you would be strong that way.
Lucifer shrugged his shoulders and his bright, white wings appeared. Swinging his wing in the direction of Michael's face. The angel ducked with a grin but forgot one thing. If it goes one way, it's sure as Hell can come back too.
Lucifer smiled while his brother came up too early and one of his fighting feathers made a slip from his ear to his mouth. Michael yelled in pain, "you son of a…" forming a fist and hitting his brother right in the eye.
Lucifer didn't see the hit coming and was smashed against the wall. How did he now see this coming? Lucifer groaned but there was no time to waste because Michael was walking towards them.
The devil jumped up and walked in a speedy pass towards his twin. They both had the same idea and smashed each other against the floor. Now it was a matter of standing up first. They both knew that so like it was practiced they jumped up at the same time, ready to continue the fight.
Michael broke one of the columns and hit his brother with every power he got. The devil landed in the pond in the middle of the patio. He shook his head. He needed more power to defeat his brother. Michael beside Amenadiel was the only one who could meet his strength and otherwise, it was the same. Lucifer was the only one who could counter Michael's strength, again besides the strongest angel of all of course.
The devil jumped up in the air, giving himself some height with his wings before he made a jump towards Michael. In midair, though the devil changed into a 5 feet large black wolf creature with red eyes, large steel-like fangs, and a blue-orange burning tale.
"The alpha Hellhound." Michael gasped right before Lucifer grabbed the angel at his wing bone with his razor-sharp teeth. Michael yelled in so much pain that he managed to smash the hellhound against the wall with one move of his shoulder. The wing was bleeding now. He hoped he could still use his already ruined wing because of course his brother had to grab his bad wing.
"Two can play this game brother," Michael said and jumped, just like Lucifer did, he changed in midair into a bright white angel hound with pitch-black eyes. Being both changed something in the hellhound though, the eyes weren't red anymore but angelic white. This only happened when both of them were changed.
"You never looked good in my color, brother." Lucifer snarled his lips curling.
"I never wanted this color in the first place. I didn't choose for the fact that our furs are each other's color." Michael snarled back also his with equal curling lips.
The two hounds were circling each other, from bird view it was like a moving yin yang symbol. Being twins and each other's opposites wasn't the only reason why they were wearing the wing color of the other. It was also a sign of balance, of the fact that everyone had light and darkness inside of him. True, the darkness was larger in Michael and although being the fallen angel, no one had as much light as Lucifer, still being the Lightbringer. The downside for Lucifer was that instead of a flaming tale he had a normal black tail. The only thing that made him a hellhound was the red glow over the black fur.
Lucifer was the first one to move and bit Michael in the neck. Michael left a howl before he rolled and used his paws to push the hellhound off him. He jumped at Lucifer and both hounds started to roll over the ground. Biting at every place they could grab.
They didn't even notice the white light that appeared on the patio.
"Children!" God said but both hounds were too busy going at each other's throat.
"Children!" God yelled again but it was no use.
God rolled his eyes before closing them. It wasn't long before both hounds were laying down on the ground with their paws over their heads, howling in pain. The buzzing in their ears made them stay in place. The pain in their heads was worse than the biggest torture.
God stopped the torture now and the hounds looked up. They both looked like kicked puppies at the moment.
"Now do I have your attention?" God asked sternly.
They both looked at him but didn't move, not even Lucifer out of fear that their father would give that torture another go.
"First of all, both of you change back. I didn't give you this talent to go at each other's throats." God said while he crossed his arms over his chest.
Both angels did as they were told. Looking all bruised and bloody back in their angelic form. Both their eyes looking at the ground. Even Michaels, who normally would start blaming the other angel.
"Why do you two always have to fight like this? There was a time where the two of you were each other's best friend." God sighed.
"That's before his betrayal," Lucifer growled, looking angry at his brother.
"I didn't know that you would be so stupid to actually listen to my ridiculous plans." Michael laughed before he could stop himself.
"That's not the only thing I am talking about and you know it!" Lucifer growled.
"Children!" God said again, this time they both stopped. "Michael! You disappoint me! You will go to your room at The Silver City and wait for me there. Don't think for one minute I will leave this as it is."
The angel bowed his head, "Yes, Father." He disappeared immediately.
"Go to your family, Samael!" God said to his fallen son, "Clearly I have judged wrong all those eons ago. I hope someday you will be able to forgive your old man."
Lucifer sighed, his Father was the only one who he let use his original given name. At least this once, "I will rather be called, Lucifer now, Father."
God sighed, "You will always be my little Lightbringer Samael but I will respect your choice. From now on you aren't banned anymore. I hope that I can welcome you home one day, my son."
"What about Hell?" Lucifer asked confused.
"Hell doesn't need a warden anymore, my son," God said before he disappeared. Leaving Lucifer confused for a moment.
"Right, I need to go to Daniel and Beatrice." Lucifer sighed, "And need to pay for a new house for Mario." as he saw how they had wrecked the place during the fight.
He walked inside the house towards the mantle of the fireplace where he knew the button of the hidden slide panel was. Luckily the house was still in a good state. He now longed to hold Daniel into his arms before planning how to punish the rest.
