A young Vilgax was soaring through the air at high speeds, he wore an all black and red body armor that covered everything but his face. That was when he was stopped short and blasted in the face. He quickly looked down to see a man wearing body armor as well it resembles dark colored body armor with green accents around his torso, along with a belt possessing pockets and cartridges. His helmet hides his face, being mostly dark colored as well but with a dark green visor. With the intergalactic peace symbol on his shoulder pad and a badge like object on his chest.

Vilgax floated down, hovering above the ground. "You thought that could hurt me?"

"Of course not, that was just to get your attention.", the man in armor said as Vilgax lunged at him, as soon as he got near he teleported behind him. "Phew, right for the throat? After everything we've been through?", he let out a nervous chuckle.

"Stay out of this Oscar.", Vilgax rushed at him at blinding speeds but Oscar teleported away again.

"You know I can't do that, Vilgax.", Oscar didn't bother teleporting as Vilgax threw a large chunk of the ground at him in which he caught and tossed it away. "I've faced more death then I can count. But I'll be damned if that didn't put my balls in my throat.", he said with a laugh before teleporting again and appearing a bit farther away. "All I wanna know is why. The Alpha Squadron risked their asses for you time and time again, same for the Technicians."

"I never needed their help. They were all weak.", Vilgax said without even looking at him.

"They were your friends! And so was I. Which is why I know you didn't kill them for the fun of it, I know you too well enough for that, so you had some sort of reason. Mind getting it off your chest?", Oscar's question was responded by Vilgax stomping so hard he caused a slight tremor. Oscar teleported away again, further away from the epicenter. "Fine, don't tell. But what about your people who saw you as their trusted king, a benevolent one actually."

"Don't bring up my people."

"Why not? You betrayed them, not me. I'm a good liar, a very good one. But you're much better, you fooled us all into believing you were the most trusted officer in the Technicians." Oscar said as he pressed the button on his collar, revealing a much younger face with fierce eyes.

"This is pointless. You cannot hope to stop me!", Vilgax narrowed his eyes.

"Of course I can't. But I can keep up what I've been doing since I found out you were a lying piece of shit. I can buy us a little more time.", Oscar said with a grin as he teleported away.

"What you're not gonna finish?", Alex asked his grandfather as he was currently in his truck. The Tennyson trio were driving not too far away from them.

"Because we're almost there.", Oscar said with a small smirk on his face. "So, you've gotten a lot better with that thing."

"Thanks, though it didn't really help much since I got my ass handed to me.", Alex said while rubbing his neck, his body felt sore considering he overexerted Extinction's size growth ability. Though not nearly as bad as before.

Oscar laughed. "Oh please. You survived, you're in the hall of fame at this point.", he suddenly remembered something. "Say, you know your Arachnichimp form?"

"Uhhh... you mean Spider-Ape?"

"Yeah, that, here's a suggestion. Trench Monkey.", Oscar refused to elaborate even further, though Alex didn't seem to be that against it.

"Damn... why didn't I think of that?", Alex facepalmed as they stopped abruptly, the Rust Bucket already there. The one thing the youth had noticed was an abandoned building left for ruin. "This is what we're here for."

"Sort of, follow me.", Oscar got out with Alex following quickly after. The three younglings shrugged as their grandfathers walked them through the building and into its basement. There they saw a large hole in the floor, they slid in and at the end of the dark cave there was... light.

The three youths were not at all prepared for what they saw. It was an entire underground city, and it's inhabitants were aliens. All of various shapes and sizes, some looked like the ones Alex can transform into, others not at all. "Kids, welcome to Undertown."

A man wearing a hooded red and gold robe. The man himself was brown haired Caucasian male. He turned behind him as soon as he heard a strange sound. "Welcome my brother."

The man looked to be around above average height with a medium build, wearing a strange uniform with gold, red, and black colors. He wear black shoes with golden braces above them and tight black pants with short red skirt-like robes. A golden brace is around their waist and they wear black shirts with gold and red braces around their arms. Wearing red scarfs and masks that are gold with black parts on them. "Greetings, sir. I have... news."

"Oh? Is it about the Knowledge Bringers success in the Omnitrix's retrieval?", the man asked.

"No... unfortunately. The child somehow managed to get the better of our lord.", the masked man said taking a step back.

"Thats... that's not possible! How?! How can a mere child overcome our God?!", the robed man growled as he formed an energy ball in his finger tip.

"We have the other Esoterica searching for the child, Conduit Edward.", the now dubbed Esoterica said as Conduit Edwards scratched his chin.

"Fine, as soon as you locate him. Kill him."

"This was under South Dakota all this time?", Ben looked amazed at all the various creatures, some looked at them strangely but quickly dismissed them others didn't even care.

"Yeah, it's been here for a long time.", Max said as he had gotten himself some ingredients for his famous deep fried octopus eyes.

"Ew.", Gwen gagged as soon as she saw both Oscar and Alex eating a tentacle on a stick. "Anyways, how long has this been down here anyways?"

Oscar tapped his chin. "Since Earth became an open system back in the 1800's maybe even the 1900's.", Oscar said with a shrug as he wasn't completely sure.

"Sooo, did being a Technician give you guys your super taste buds?", Ben asked as Alex was simply looking around at all the new lifeforms.

"Sort of, I was apart of Oscar's squad back in the day. We once got stranded on a planet for about three months at least.", Max remembered those days fondly.

"Yeah, good times. Though tasting it for the first time wasn't so... appealing.", Oscar completely wished to forget the time he first tried alien cuisine. "Anyways, c'mon.", Alex, Ben and Gwen looked on as they saw a small rodent like creature being arrested.

Alex stopped in his tracks, he heard something. It was faint but it was definitely there though he simply chalked it up to the creatures around him. "Alright then."

Conduit Edwards was meditating in the middle of the circle, yellow energy balls swirled around him. "Sir, we've found the child.", one of the Esoterica soldiers walked out of... somewhere. It's almost as if he walked from behind a wall.

"Good, get him."

Alex had his arms up, a green ring hovering up and down his body. Ben and Gwen were having the same scans done on them in separate rooms. "Grandpa, I thought you said the Technicians were disbanded."

"Sort of yes. Most of them went into Undertown and stayed here up until Vilgax came back.", Oscar explained.

"Well Magister Parry, the scans done.", said a small creature around 9 inches in height and resembling a frog. His name was Blukic, he was thin and wore overalls with a Technician belt. He is slightly cross-eyed. He also wears a cap. "No damage done."

"Of course there's damage done, he has a fractured rib.", another one said, he was Driba. He was fatter then Blukic and was around 6 inches. Wearing the standard Technician suit.

"Well he it's not that bad then.", Blukic said as Driba went over the scans again.

"Oh and one more thing.", Driba pointed at the Omnitrix. "May we see that?", he asked the human, Alex nodded. He got on a knee and displayed the Omnitrix to them.

Blukic and Driba examined the device. "Mmhmm, yep. That's the Omnitrix alright.", Blukic said with a nod.

"Hmmm. I wonder who built it. Perhaps Azmuth?", Driba scratched his chin, Alex didn't say anything and just shrugged.

"Imma go walk around. I'll catch up with ya later.", Alex said with a thumbs up as he walked out of the Technician shop.

Oscar narrowed his eyes as he watched his grandson disappear into the crowd. "Sir?", Driba looked up at the formerly retired Technician.

"Track his Omnitrix's signature. Just in case."

Alex looked around the multitude of vendors along with the costumers. He covered his nose as soon as he picked up on something foul. "Eugh.", he shivered before looking down at a small creature. Ir was a small and fat yellow-green-colored insectoid creature. He has four eyestalks with orange eyes and small wings. He wears a pink t-shirt with a light yellow circle in the middle. "Hi?"

The alien child simply looked at him confused before scuttling off. "Not a talker, fair enough."

"Mommy, I got a bloody nose!", a little girl said holding up a paper bag. She resembled a smaller version of Drag Racer, but significantly smaller with short black "hair" and white eyes. She wears a white and pink jacket with a large zipper.

Her mother was the same, she wears a pointy green headscarf and has white eyes. She wears a mini-green jacket with a long dark green dress and white gloves. "Well did you expect me to cook it for you here?"

"Kinda curious to what that tastes like honestly.", Alex mutter to himself before seeing one of the Esoterica appear out of literally nowhere and shoot an energy ball at the two before they could even notice.

Quickly, Alex transformed into Crazy Diamond and erected a crystal wall to block them. "Get out of here! Everyone!", the message was clear, and they immediately ran away. "Alright dude, not cool.", the Esoterica didn't respond but simply stepped behind an invisible wall again. "Okay... weird-!?", he was blasted from behind. Quickly turning around to see more of them. "The more the merrier I guess."

Crazy Diamond sharpened his finger tips before sending a barrage of crystals at them, they quickly ran up... something in order to dodge. "This just keeps getting weirder and weirder."

~

Oscar was waiting outside for his grandson to return, but that was when he saw the crowd of aliens running away from yellow energy blast firing off in random directions. "Dammit, someone fire up the gravity projectors! I don't want this place falling down with us in it!"

"Sir yes sir!", a fish like alien resembling Lagoon said before running back inside.

"What is it?", Ben walked out after having completed his scan.

"Nothing good.", Oscar said popping his knuckles.

~

Crazy Diamond effortlessly tanked the energy blasts while retaliating with his own crystalline projectiles. The esoterica kept vanishing into thin air then reappearing to continue attacking. "New plan then.", Crazy Diamond slapped the Omnitrix emblem on his chest and transformed into Trench Monkey.

Letting out a monkey screech his senses triggered and he immediately leapt at an empty space as a Esoterica walked out. Only to get thrown by Trench Monkey into a food cart. Trench Monkey swung around the open space, weaving a web durable enough to throw back the energy blasts. He quickly used his tail and shot out globs of webbing at five Esoterica appearing behind him. "Leave it on. It's supposed to be good for the complexion.", The Esoterica fell back and reappeared on the ground, tearing the webbing off. "Who are you guys anyways? It's impolite to not introduce yourselves. Cuz ya gotta have a black belt in stupid if you think you're gonna beat me."

"My apologies, Alexander.", Conduit Edwards walked out of thin air and onto some sort of plateform. "My Esoterica aren't exactly the talkative type. My name is Conduit Edwards."

"Conduit?", Trench Monkey let out a confused chirp. "A conduit of what?"

"Not what. I am the Conduit of the great one! Vilgax the Conqueror!", Conduit Edwards said with a smile before being blasted in the face by webs.

"Well I must admit, beating the living snot out of all of you will be the highest of honors.", Trench Monkey slapped his Omnitrix and transformed into Cold Soar, unfolding his wings and flying into the air. Before they could at least start shooting at him, Cold Soar took a deep breath before unleashing freezing cold wind. The Esoterica started to phase away but their legs or arms were caught by the ice. "That should keep you guys there for a bit."

Soon after however, he noticed Conduit Edwards was gone. He sighed as he saw of the law enforcement fly in and pull out the Esoterica, some shivering from the cold or others still trying to pull off the rest of the webs. "Well, all in a days work.", He said with a confident grin before flying back to the workshop.

~

Oscar looked up to see Cold Soar landing down, as soon as he did so the Omnitrix timed out. "Hey Grandpa... funny story."

"Let me guess, the Esoterica?", Alex looked shocked as to how he knew. "I dealt with them before, they're a bunch of delusional morons worshiping Vilgax because they see him as their savior.", Oscar said with a slight scoff. "They use Chimerian Technology that allow them to phase in and out of dimensions at will along with energy projecting gauntlets."

"Ohhhh... so that's how they did it.", Alex nodded as he now had an idea how to deal with them just in case they came back... which they might.

"Let's go, Max and the others are waiting on the surface.", Oscar said as he patted his grandsons back and walked with him towards a shortcut.

Alex then remembered something. "Hey, why did you retire from the Technicians?" He asked curiously.

"It's best to leave it at that. Some secrets are better left unsaid.", Oscar kept looking forward.

A young Oscar covered his mouth in horror at what he saw. His squad mates were dead on the floor, most of them looked... unrecognizable. He saw the corpse of a Martian missing his core, a Vaxasaurian with his head twisted backwards, another human ripped in half, and a Kineceleran with their head crushed into mush.

Oscar tried to choke out something, maybe a curse towards the universe but the shock prevented him from even speaking. He looked up to see a camera pointing at the scene.

The technician quickly made it toward the security cameras, seeing the one who monitored them was also dead. Oscar managed to rewind the recording, seeing them all fighting Vilgax himself, they were on the winning end at first. However as soon as the Kineceleran got her head crushed, they all fell after, and without much resistance. "Goddammit!" He punched straight through the screen with a frustrated expression.
