AN: Before we start I want to let you all know this is an AU. Naruto story. In this story, Obito was never crushed by the boulder so he was able to protect Rin. She also is aware she is the three tails Jinchuriki and is in control of his power and is even friends with him. Another is they are slightly older, In the anime Kakashi is 14 when Minato dies, however in this Rin is 15 while the boys are 16. I hope you all enjoy it!
Summary: Before Naruto was born, He was put into a marriage contract with Ino. How will the story play out when they find out about it when they become shinobi? Will they accept it or will they decide to go against it?

~October 7th. 3 days before Naruto's birth~
It was a regular sunny day with very little clouds out, Leaving lots of people to flood the streets of Konoha. The people went shopping, socializing, whatever they needed down for the day. They were in a very happy mood since their hokage had ended the war between them and Iwagakure long ago. The mood when they found out their Hokage ended the war single-handedly was an impressive feat to say the least.
Speaking of, The hokage may be an unstoppable warrior but at this current moment he wished that warrior came out as he was practically sweating seeing his pregnant wife and her best friend with her new born baby glaring at him. Even Hurizen, the previous hokage was cowering behind a pillow in absolute fear at the scary females in front of Minato.
Minato looked around the room seeing his best friend, Inoichi standing in the corner with a worried look on his face. Minato sighed as he took the piece of paper that his wife was holding in front of his face. He looked at Kushina and her friend Luna as they held hands while Luna still held onto her newborn. "Kushina... Is this what I think it is?"
Minato chuckled nervously as he saw his wife and love of his life smile brightly with a nod, "Yes. I want Naruto and little Ino here to get a marriage contract! We already convinced Inoichi, All we need to do is convince you and have you sign it." Kushina looked at Luna who looked at her and nodded her head.
Luna turned towards the hokage and cleared her throat getting him to look at her, "There is more to it." Luna turned towards Inoichi who sighed and came forward and gently took Ino away from her mother and sat down next to the third hokage. Minato looked confused but turned back to Luna as she began to speak, "So Minato, There are underlining reasons we are wanting this contract, For one is to prevent any Clan Restoration Act bullshit that the elders are trying to put YOU through. I dont think my daughter will be like Kushina who threatened their lives. Plus if their is a contract involved, It protects both Ino from being chosen to be some dudes harem, and protects your son from being chosen to be said dude."
Minato looked back at the contract and surprisingly, Kushina added that to the terms. He looked through it as Luna continued like the business woman she was, "Another thing is you'll see that if they dont want this when they come of age, it is an easy divorce if they come to you however I highly doubt they'll not want it."
Minato looked up with a slightly confused look on his face, "what makes you say that?"
Both mothers smiled making Minato back up slightly, his thoughts thinking that they would make them do it. "Mother intuition."
Minato deadpanned at the response but looked at the contract some more seeing the third and what seems to be final thing on the contract, "The third thing. We dont want them to worry about this contract early in their lives. It will be there to protect them from the CRA and if the Daimyo decided to do anything. So we would want them to find out after they became Shinobi for them to find out about this contract."
Minato looked it over again as Inoichi smiled, "Also Lord fourth." Inoichi stated getting Minato's attention, "I know your child will be humble and a very nice and strong guy for my Ino. So I agree to this thing just for the security that Ino will be in."
Minato sighed as he knew when Inoichi spoke up, He lost the war. He put the paper down and signed it getting both Kushina and Luna to squeal happily resulting in Inoichi and Minato to be startled. Not to mention the sleeping Ino who woke up and started to cry. Luna instantly went mother mode and took Ino from Inoichi while he just smiled at his wife as she rocked Ino back and forth calming her down. She smiled at her small bundle of joy with Inoichi as the two looked at their best friends. They smiled and hugged them one final time before heading out the door.
"Naruto." Kushina simply stated as Minato looked up from his paperwork he was currently working on. Kushina looked at Minato with a smile, "Naruto. That will be our sons name."
Kushina smiled and gave Minato a kiss over his desk as she left the tower leaving Minato starstruck and happy. She named him after the hero in his sensei's book. "Minato, Are you sure about that contract?"
Minato looked at his hokage predecessor with a smile. "Yes. It has more pros then cons. But my only hope is that I can see the two of them walk down the isle together."
~3 days later~
Minato was panting as he held his wife who had chakra chains out of her back holding the Nine tails at bay, but it wasnt the nine tails that was in her. This was a fake jinchuriki, one that was modified in a lab. The nine tails that she had was the real thing and it was currently subduing the fake one while he looked at Kushina in worry.
Kushina unlike his previous container actually talked to him like he was a human or more say not some problem she was just dealt with. After getting to know each other for so long, Kushina gave the Nine tails lots of knowledge of the Uzumaki clan and they became great friends but what happened earlier was the rogue snuck in and was able to draw out the Nine tails before Team Minato was able to make it to them. However Nine tails jumped the intruder defending Kushina and Minato who was greatly surprised by it.
"Kurama! I need a favor!" Kushina yelled weakly. The nine tails known as Kurama turned to her with a worry and a slight struggle as the rogue below him was trying to break out of the hold. Kurama's jaw on his throat tightened and before he decided to slam his face onto the ground with such force the it sent debris into the air. Kurama walked over to Kushina and laid down so that his nose was in front of her. Minato was working on the plan he and Kushina had in store while Kushina stood up and hugged her friend one last time.
Kurama nuzzled into her hold super gently as she spoke, "I need you to be sealed inside of my son. Im sorry but you'll be locked up tight for the first 7 years."
Kurama looked at her with a questionable gaze, "Why?"
Kushina smiled as she coughed up blood falling to her knees. "Kushina!" Kurama yelled as he shrunk his size to where he was just a large dog. He ran to Kushina and started to push up against her so that she was leaning against him for support.
Kushina coughed up more blood as she turned to Kurama who was looked behind him, looking at her. "Because, all that power you hold is devastating. If you werent sealed like this and Naruto had all that power, He would die. At 7, he'd open his chakra up and that also the time you'd be able to jump in and help mold him and train him..." Kushina coughed some more as she looked over and saw Minato get up weakly. she knew she wasnt going to live, and She knew Minato would die cause of the large cut in his chest. "Please! Make sure my son is the best shinobi! Train him in the Uzumaki arts like the chakra chains and Minato's Flying thunder god... p-p-please he-help h-h-him."
Kurama nodded his head as Kushina ran through handsigns causing Kurama to glow. "Im se-sealing you... wi-with m-m-m-my chakra. You won-wont be alone. I-Ill be with you!" Kushina said as half of her chakra and Kurama was sealed inside of Naruto who was asleep. Kushina smiled as blood dripped from her mouth. She turned back to the forcefield that was set up by Minato, She saw Inoichi and Luna there in their Shinobi attire along with Hurizen.
She mouthed an 'Im sorry.' To them as she stood up and turned towards the rogue nine tails as he glared them down. (You think Ill run today? You will both parish!) He shouted as he began to run forward but what he didnt know was he began to shrink due to a jutsu Minato just used which drains chakra. (WHAT?! HOW AM I SHRINKING!) The rogue became normal sized as Minato formed a rasengan that had fire going around it like a small sun. Kushina gasped as she realized what he had done.
"Its a shame huh." Minato stated getting Kushina to look at him. He took out three Kunai and threw them next to the fake jinchuriki. "I finally mastered the Rasengan right before my death." Minato turned to his wife as she took one breathe in feeling her heart beat slow down. She fell to the ground as she watched the fight unfold. she closed her eyes with a smile as she died causing the audience to tear up, while Luna fell to her knees with a loud sob.
Minato however didnt or more of couldnt focus on that. He teleported next to the Jinchuriki and slammed the Fire Rasengan into him. "RAGING FLAMES!" Minato shouted as the Jinchuriki was launched across the field with the fireball against his side getting hotter and hotter before exploding sending the Jinchuriki across the sky severely injured.
Minato teleported to the Jinchuriki with a kunai in hand. He looked at the beast and realized he was out cold. He looked back towards where Naruto was and knew that one day, He would be able to deal with these pests... and win. He put his hand on the beast and teleported him elsewhere leaving only him there while he used the last of his strength to teleport to his son.
Once he was next to his son again, The forcefield collapsed and made it so all the shinobi outside were able to run in to him. Minato fell to his knees as Hurizen and Inoichi ran to him. "Hurizen... l-look after Naruto. Guide him, and make sure he isnt afraid. H-have Obito..."
Obito, Rin, and Kakashi ran towards their sensei with fear in their eyes, "SENSEI!" Rin slid next to her sensei but was handed Naruto quickly while Minato fell to his back but Obito and Kakashi propped him up using their bodies as he continued.
"Obito... Yo-your acting Hokage. Protect them all... Kakashi... I want you to be-be my sons Jonin sensei!" Minato said as he started to cough up blood. Hurizen didnt dare speak as these were the dying wishes of a powerful and humble man. "Rin... please raise Naruto... I know this isnt what you expected at 15... being a parent to you're senseis kid but..."
Rin cut him off with a nod, "I understand Sensei. Dont worry he is in good hands. I wont let him down in the slightest."
Minato smiled and nodded as he turned to Obito and Kakashi, "Please... Help her whenever you can. Obito, I know you were just crowned Jonin but I was always conditioning you to become hokage... You ca-can do this. Your 16, be the best hokage! And kakashi... Please. Always protect your teammates... They are more than your team. They are family"
Rin looked up at the other two as she felt Minatos pulse start to slow down. The others nodded as Obito had tears forming. "I understand Sensei. Ill protect them." Kakashi said while Obito took his off his goggles and wiped his eyes.
"I promise, Naruto will be taken care of and loved like he was my own son. He'll be in good hands with his uncles." Rin said as she grabbed Minato's hand as he held onto his student's hand tightly. She knew that he wouldnt last much longer. She had tears forming while Inoichi held his friends other hand.
"Ill be the best Hokage ever Minato Sensei! I wont let anyone down! NOT NOW OR EVER!" Obito shouted with all of his determination of display. Minato smiled and nodded weakly as he looked at Inoichi and Luna who were smiling softly with tears silently falling as they watched their best friend die in front of them.
"Please... Protect... Ino and... Naruto... Contract is in... Your hands." With that, Minato had gone limp in Rins hand and Inoichi's as everyone around started to cry including Naruto who was crying the loudest. Rin held onto Naruto while Kakashi and Obito cried softly. Luna and Inoichi were crying just as hard as Ino was. The village just lost their hokage and it wasnt even a time of war.
~1 week later~
A funeral service, They are normally attended by family or close friends but not today. Today in Konoha's funeral ground, Stood all Shinobi, Civilians, Children, Even wounded or hospitalized patients were attending. Everyone in the village was wearing black clothes with umbrellas out and up as they watched the Fourth Hokage's funeral unfold. Obito's first act as Hokage was to arrange this for his Sensei.
Rin was currently standing next to Obito, holding his hand while she held Naruto with her free arm. Kakashi stood on the other side of Rin as the trio were at the front of the funeral service. They looked at their sensei with small sad smiles. They stood their praying for him until TAPS started to play. They watched as Minato's casket was lowered along with his wife's casket. All shinobi, Regardless of if they were active or retired, They all saluted to their hokage. Everyone stood by as they two people started to pour dirt on the coffins.
'We will make a better future.' Obito, Rin, and Kakashi thought at the same time as the looked up at the falling rain. They knew this day would be hard but they didnt expect it to be this hard. After a few minutes, people started to leave and after half an hour, It was only Inoichi and his wife with Ino along with the trio and Naruto.
Obito turned to Inoichi, "Inoichi." Obito said gaining the older man's attention. Inoichi looked at his new young hokage and was about to salute but Obito rose his hand up stopping him. "I promise to make sure everything Minato had planned goes according to plan. Along with the marriage contract. I will defend the new generation. That is a promise."
Inoichi was stunned at first but nodded his head as Obito turned to Rin and Kakashi. "Lets go. I need to take Rin to her new home so she could have plenty of room to raise Naruto."
The two nodded their heads and left, following behind Obito leaving Inoichi and his family. "He is a spitting image of Minato. A bright future will be held for us all." Luna said before looking down in fear. "Inoichi. I saw the looks directed towards Naruto... Is that going to be a problem?"
Inoichi looked at his wife and smiled, "Depends. Do you think that kid will be able to handle it?"
Luna smiled and nodded her head as she and Inoichi bowed to Minato and Kushina's grave one last time before leaving the area. Leaving a single daffodil flower behind... for a new beginning.
