At the end of the day, Naoya is left… disappointed. From the reports he'd heard, this woman was supposed to be the wild card—the new element unaccounted for in the stacking order within the jujutsu world. She was supposed to be a dangerous new player on the field, with a technique subversive enough to make even the higher-ups think twice.
He's seen no evidence of such a person existing. All he sees is an ordinary woman. One with poor manners and not much else.
Perhaps he should be relieved by this. If the rumors had been true, Naoya would have had to intervene. There simply couldn't be a sorcerer more powerful than Gojo Satoru. Not some nameless girl, living anonymously in America.
As she approaches the entrance to her apartment building, she finally sets down the small child that's been clinging to her all afternoon. She's a nanny , doing a servant's job.
Am I even looking at the right person? How is this the person that brought Gojo Satoru to his knees? Naoya wonders from his car across the street. His hand runs along the edge of his suit jacket aimlessly, disliking the way it felt. He regretted this trip as soon as he stepped foot in New York. This is useless. The rumors were unfounded after all .
"Naoya-sama," his driver says in a hushed, urgent voice.
"What?" he snaps, looking up.
"The—on the wall," the driver nods to the apartment building.
The woman is still there on the steps, and the two children are drawing in chalk on the sidewalk. She has a yellow piece of chalk in her hand, occasionally tossing it up in the air and then catching it.
On the brick facade of the building, she's scrawled out a message.

"Miss Yoshi, Miss Yoshi," a little girl tugs at her hand. "¿Qué es eso, Miss Yoshi? Are you writing something?"
"Yes," Yoshi replies evenly, handing the chalk back to the girl. "I'm practicing my letters. It's been a while since I've written in kanji…"
"Pero eres adulta, ¡ya no necesitas practicar!" the little girl protests seriously. "Grown-ups don't gotta practice writing, do they?" Yoshi looks past her, towards the black sedan with tinted windows parked across the street. She can't see who's inside, but she knows they've been watching her all day.
"Yoshiiii!" The girl whines. "You're grown up, you don't need to practice!"
"Ah," Yoshi acts surprised. "I forgot about that. You're right. I'll erase it," she declares, pulling her sleeve over her palm and swiping away the yellow characters. "Is that better?"
The girl's face scrunches in confusion. "You didn't have to erase it," she mumbles. "What did it say, anyway? No pude leerlo, Yoshi."
"That's too bad," Yoshi shrugs. "Guess you'll never know."
"Yoshiiiii, nooooo!"

See you on the roof
It's written in kanji, not English.
Naoya leans back in his seat, amused. He's not impressed just yet, but perhaps there was more to this girl after all. At the very least, Naoya could admit that he's looking forward to finding out.
Author's note: this story begins just after episode 7 of the anime, after Gojo fights Mt. Fuji dude, and before he meets with Principal Gakuganji. My OCs are multilingual, but any important dialogue will either be written in English or be translated, in-story or in the author's notes. I'm not totally fluent in all of the languages I use, so if I mess up anywhere I encourage readers to help me out.
I plan on this becoming a slow burn Gojo x OC story, but uhh that's not set in stone. Also, JJK cursed energy is very confusing, I'm making this shit up as I go along, so if it doesn't make sense please give me concrit!
