Wrex was quick to search and recover Shepard. Now he works to keep her survival a secret as his people looked for the Normandy. There's just a few problems with that. 1. The alliance wants her and Hackett suspects she's alive. 2. The mass relays and most of the technology-based around them are no longer functioning. 3. Keeping her alive. Where's Vakarian when he needs him?

REPOST. Reality changed with the advent of Humanity on the galactic stage. Relay 314 proved cynics correct in many ways, alien life was the end of our golden age. Innocence was lost, xenophobia followed, rooting itself deep within society. From the ashes of Shanxi arose the Alliance, new protector and unifier of humanity. But so did their rivals. Cerberus.

In the year 2186, disaster struck. A massive enemy force known as the Reapers set to erradicate the entire galaxy of living things. Trillions upon trillions of lives were lost, but all thanks to one woman, Commander Jane Shepard, the war was won. Her sacrifice had given the entire galaxy hope, but one Turian, Garrus Vakarian, still held out hope that the woman he loved had made it.

HMS Isaac Newton and HMS Alexander Fleming open the Shanxi Relay. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. The following course of events would lead to Humanity's first hot war in over a century, a war which could have exploded into full on Interspecies Total War, assuming of course the various human nations could even agree on anything.

We have all seen the ending where Shepard takes a breath after Destroy. Well I desperately wanted my Shepard to live and enjoy her life with everybody's favorite Turian. This story depicts the struggles of a long and hard recovery, from Garrus' point of view. Based on my first playthrough. Rated M for language, alcohol use and adult themes. Enjoy!
