Neo ducked under a line of razer-sharp curved blades, the knives making thwip-thwip-thwip noises as they flew over her head. She stabbed and parried, staring balefully at her green-eyed, orange-haired opponent the whole time. When had it all gone wrong?
It was supposed to be a routine operation, albeit one with some extra personnel. She along with Roman and twenty White Fang faunus were supposed to intercept a dust-carrying Bullhead at the docks. Standard procedure. In and out. Business as usual.
Neo's presence, frankly, was overkill. She was a Huntsman-grade assassin, thief, and all-around badass criminal. She was just there for insurance. There was no reason for anyone to be at the docks so late at night.
Neo snarled as she twirled, wide-eyed over a green laser (where the hell had that come from!). So who the hell was this girl? And why was she so strong?
Everything had gone wrong when those two faunus had jumped in. The cat girl was especially confusing. "Brothers!" she had said. Who was her brother? Neo was a girl, for goodness sake. Pretty attractive too, if she did say so herself.
Anyway, Neo thought, blocking with her parasol a barrage of gunshots the girl shot from her boobs (Neo wasn't even surprised anymore), it didn't matter in the end. An enemy was an enemy, brother or not. Two huntman-in-training were nothing for Neo and Roman.
But then two more brats had shot out of the woodwork. A red-stylized one and an orange-haired one. The orange supergirl had somehow pulled their getaway Bullhead out of the sky and then destroyed it with flying swords. What the fuck! That was military-grade armor. That was two tons of flying metal. Normal people don't just eviscerate flying airships!
At this point, Neo had been done. The plan was shot, the dust was gone. Some type of dynamic four-o had appeared like superheros. She was ready to nope out of there. She was only fighting this blasted wondergirl right now to wait for an opportunity to get in on Roman's fight and blink them out of there.
Speaking of which...there! The red one had allowed herself to get blown back by Melodic Cudgel's explosion.
Neo, instantly took advantage, leading Orange away with her Semblance and then appearing next to Red. She kicked her into a storage unit. Then she hopped between the two faunus. She kicked the yellow one in the balls and bopped the black one in the head. Her two opponents down and groaning, she sauntered over to Roman.
"Hey, Neo! About time!" Roman called, as if he wasn't on the edge of pants the whole time. Neo rolled her eyes.
"But uh, you might want to hurry up. That orange one is coming back." Ah, right! She forgot about her. She turned to see Orange girl sprinting toward them with unnatural speed, eyes glowing green, no doubt readying some attack.
Too bad she was too far. Neo smirked and reached out to Roman, already thinking about the mint ice cream waiting for her back at base. Then, she felt nothing but white and pain. She blacked out.

When the dust cleared, there was no sign of the pinked-hair woman or the orange-haired thief, or any other signs of life, save one. A single White Fang member, with the honorable name of Bob, surrounded by flaming debris, stared down at his gun. Blinking.
He hadn't done that. Nope. He'd just been aiming at the monkey faunus. It wasn't his fault the wind-yeah, the wind!-the wind had moved his bullet and made it hit the SDC dust carriages. Dust carriages full of fire dust. Fire which was even now surrounding him.
This was fine.
The bear faunus stood blinking at his gun some more, before dropping it and running from all culpability.
None of it was his fault.

Neo saw nothing but rainbow scintillations and lights rushing past her and into her and around her and-fwoosh.
Neo woke up. A dream?
What an interesting dream that had been. It had seemed so real.
"Neo! Come on. We've got a job at the docks right now. Ten minutes."
Neo shrugged. She had a job to do.

It was a routine job. Intercept an SDC Bullhead, steal the dust, get out. Even the faunus that Roman held in such disdain could do it. Neo was overkill for this kind of job.
But you know, Neo thought of her dream. You could never be too careful.
Neo decided to look around. Sure enough, she found the two faunus from last time hiding behind an empty crate. She waited for a bit.
They weren't saying anything.
She bopped their heads together.
Roman was pleased. "Huh. Nice job, Neo. That could have been bad. Just leave them here for now. We'll be done before they wake up." Then he went back to directing the faunus around.
Neo watched the two children sleep. So peaceful. She noted the uniforms. Beacon, huh. Neo sighed. She had never been able to go to school before. She wondered what that would be like.
Then she had an idea. Watching the cat faunus curl her arms around the monkey faunus in her sleep, Neo blinked, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Sun groaned, the early morning sun forcing his eyes open. What had happened? The last thing he remembered was checking out the empty Vale docks with Blake, that cute cat faunus he had met.
A light breeze caressed the back of his neck. Sun shivered. That felt good.
The ground was hard, but something felt really comfortable. Soft.
Sun wondered what it was. Looking down, he saw a delicate hand drawing patterns on his skin. He looked further. A creamy, smooth, toned, long leg rubbing against his Jingu Bang junior.
A black ear flicked his face. A familiar face buried itself into his neck. Blake Belladonna, naked as the day she was born, was sprawled across his body and clinging to him like a pillow.
Sun blinked. Well I guess I did something right yesterday. Sun let his arm rest on her back. Then the reality of the situation set in. Wait what the fuck is going on I'm so confu-
"Ahem."
Sun froze. Blake jerked awake. "Mmrfph?"
A very disciplinarian voice cut the air. "Miss Belladonna. This-" The blonde gestured vaguely at the two teens. Blake's face was fast growing white. "is unacceptable behavior for a huntress of Beacon. Please accompany me to my office. And…bring your paramour along as well." Clack. Clack. Clack. For a moment there was no sound but of the teachers' high-heels clacking away. Then-
"Get off of me! You pervert!" Smack!
"Ah!"
"And give me your clothes!"
"O-okay!"

Neo grin split her face. She didn't know what the deal with her dream had been, but if it was going to give her a second chance, she would take it. Dressed in Beacon's uniform and cloaked in her semblance, she followed along, ready to try out a new life.
