A drabble, in which Jim cheats on Spock. The line between healthy and falling apart is a long way, but once you cross it you can't ever go back.

As cadets on a summer internship, Kirk and McCoy are supposed to keep their eyes open and their mouths shut. After all, they've both seen enough trouble in two years at the Academy. However, when a mystery starts to weave itself around the mission, and the senior officers don't seem interested in investigating, how far can Kirk and McCoy let it go?

This is a story that takes place after Star Trek Into Darkness about a lieutenant who finds himself serving aboard the enterprise after Khan was defeated. There will be appearances from all the main characters at times in the plot. This story is new and ongoing so feedback is appreciated.
