A/N: Well after Lord knows how long, I am back, and this time, I wrote the whole story out, or at least, part one. So here's the deal guys for the first couple chapters you are going to recognize a lot of stuff I have added new details and worked out some of the kinks I found. As it goes you are going to recognize less and less until all there are only new scenes. The first real new scene is in chapter two. Now don't think the prologue or chapter one won't be exciting cause I added quite a bit of new dialogue. Anyway, I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am. Enjoy!

Prologue-Upgrade

"Shit!" Tony cursed removing his hand from the now smoldering piece of technology. It looked like a large piece of metal surrounded by several bands of steel, accompanied by several flashing menacing looking dials. It was all very evil genius. What it did? No one knew, except Tony, and that was classified.

"Are you okay, Sir?" J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice asked. It was hard to believe that J.A.R.V.I.S was nothing more than one of Tony's many inventions. Anyone, (including Tony himself at times) could be fooled into believing the calm cool voice, with the British accent belonged to another flesh and blood human being.

Tony looked up at the ceiling,"Perfectly fine J.A.R.V.I.S. Thanks for asking." Pause. "J.A.R.V.I.S.?"

"Yes, sir?"

"When was your last upgrade?" he asked, his current project ending up rather disappointing, not challenging at all. Despite the promises it had made to be. Sure it was finicky and blew up all the time, but the was due to is natural instability, not anything interesting. J.A.R.V.I.S always made a fascinating distraction, and at least, one good nights worth of work.

"Last month, sir."

"Hmm..." he tapped his wrench up and down on the smoldering technology. "It's probably about time for another one then."

"Probably," was the machines only reply.

"J.A.R.V.I.S. phone Pepper."

"Right away, sir."

"Tony, J.A.R.V.I.S. said you wanted to talk to me. This better be important! I have a meeting in…" She took a moment to glance at her watch, "thirty seconds, and I still have to get there. One of us has to attend you know." She berated him, though the teasing tone came out clearly.

"Pepper!" he said standing up whacking his head on the back of his car, "Son of a…"

"Tony? Come on, I have a meeting, that you're supposed to be at as well."

"You're running late?" he said rubbing the back of his head gingerly, "Are you dying?"

"No, there was a ridiculous amount of traffic, apparently there were rumors of a chance to see Tony Stark."

He smiled smugly, eyes twinkling but the effect was ruined by the lack of visual contact. "I just wanted to know, if you had any ideas for upgrades for J.A.R.V.I.S.?" A loud sigh was heard, accompanied by the loud clack of heels. "Pepper you still there?"

"Yeah, Tony I am still here. I am thinking."

Silence blared through the lines.

"Anything?"

"Just wait, I'm thinking!" she said exasperated with his persistence. "Uh...I don't know. Give him...more emotions or something. Like more realistic reactions to things. I swear his default is sarcasm…similar to someone else I know."

"Hmmm...not a bad idea," he said, a large smile spreading across his face for the project ahead. This could prove worthy of two sleepless nights

"And I'll get to that meeting I was supposed to be at thirty seconds ago." she said, intercom going dead.

Later by two minutes

Pepper walked briskly into the office where a slim, rather short woman with a kind, expressive face sat attentively. Her pinstriped pants were perfectly pressed, her shirt a pristine white, and her hair was captured in an impressively flawless bun, and her feet were clad in the most adorable pair of peep-toe heels.

"Sorry, I am late. Mr. Stark had a..uh technical question for me."

"Not a problem, I am sure you are a busy woman." She paused, her hands clenching in the fabric of her pants, before slowly releasing, as if she was taking a moment to gather her courage. "Tony Stark was asking you technical questions? Miss Potts, you must be more impressive than I thought." Despite the relaxed tone and conversation, Pepper could clearly see the nerves the women was exuding, shifting frequently, eyes darting about the room.

"You can relax," Pepper said smiling. "Tony's the one that bites."

She laughed, her eyes crinkling, clearly relieved. "Thanks. It's just that meeting the Pepper Potts is a bit intimidating."

Pepper glowed at the compliment sinking gracefully into a chair. "So you must be Miss Moore."

"That is correct."

Pepper's eyes flickered down to her file. "Olivia what a beautiful name."

Heat crawled up Miss Moore's neck staining her cheeks a bright red. "Thank you. You can call me Olivia…if you like I mean. I prefer it, but if that's unprofessional…" She snapped her jaw shut, cutting off her rambling.

"Olivia then," Pepper said smiling warmly, amused by the women's behavior. "So you are here for the position of Tony's secretary?"

She took a deep breath, straitening her spine, confidence entering her posture. "Yes."
