After getting out of Tartarus, Percy and Annabeth quickly realize that they'll have no chance to get a break just yet. A long with the rest of the seven of the Prophesy they have to stop the Romans' attack on Camp Half-Blood.

Jason pronounces a battle cry, brandishes his golden sword, and fights for the both of them. And in the end, he triumphs, he wins, he lives. Reyna grits her teeth and at least tries to get comfortable, but small stones and pebbles dig in her back as unconsciousness begins to take over, and everything becomes a very colorful, very noisy blur. She resigns then, and thinks about life

They started dancing again, this time no music to lead them. But this was okay, really- because they were dancing to the beats of their hearts.

"I guess you found your happy ever after, huh?" Thalia asks her. It's an old joke between the two of them now. The sound of the little girl's mirthful laugh reaches their ears as Annabeth answers, "I did." But then she adds, "Who would have thought it would be with the guy who drools in his sleep?"
