Story Start!

"Will Uzumaki Naruto and Temari come down please?"

"Oh come on, I just got back up here!" Naruto shouted as he got to the top of the steps back into the competition box. He had JUST fought, multiple opponents, and now he was being expected to fight another match. He had been the only person to fight so far, other than his opponents. He had fought Neji and Shino back to back, and now he was being expected to fight another fighter who hadn't done anything.

"Kick her ass Naruto!"

Tenten in the stadium could be heard somewhere.

"Come on short stuff, you've been doing pretty good so far. Lets hope you put up more of a fight than my last opponent." Temari unfolded her fan and jumped over the railing, floating down into the middle of the stadium.

...

"You're last opponent quit though?" Naruto was confused.

"She's saying you won't make her have to try at all, she's insulting you." Erza stated to Naruto.

"She just called you weak." Shikamaru stated to Naruto, without knowing that Erza floating next to Naruto had already informed him of the truth. Getting the truth from two different people at the same time made it click for Naruto.

Naruto jumped into the arena and landed on the ground across from Temari.

She was smirking.

"Got a plan for her?" Erza asked Naruto, who was just glaring at Temari. She smirked wider when she realized that Naruto had clicked with her insults, and thus her snide comment had not been wasted on him.

Temari stopped smirking though.

'Still though, I better take him seriously. He's shown he's got a ton of chakra and endurance, he can take hits well. That dog boy could throw some strong attacks, and this kid could take them and keep coming. He's unpredictable, and surprisingly clever despite how stupid he is.' Temari didn't forget the way he defeated Neji, or even the fact that he was excellent at the Transformation jutsu. He used it in battle against both Kiba and Neji with surprising skill, able to full even make an Inuzuka question their keen sense of smell.

He was very intelligent, but his combat power wasn't something that she planned on underestimating since he had already shown abilities she didn't know he had.

Naruto grinned.

"I don't have a clue on how to plan against you... but I know you use wind, and throwing weapons won't work. You're a one trick pony... don't need to plan against a girl who is only good at blasting hot air around." Naruto taunted Temari, while answering Erza.

Temari frowned.

"What was that punk?"

"What was that punk?" Naruto taunted her right back, turning around and giving his butt a few smacks just to taunt her even further. The match hadn't started yet, but in just a few seconds it would, and thinks would be getting very interesting since both fighters were now pissed with each other.

Those few seconds started.

"The match between Uzumaki Naruto and Temari will begin!"

"Wind Scythe!"

Naruto crossed his arms and summoned armor ONLY on his arms to defend himself as wind slammed into him, putting small cuts across his body. Temari knocked him clear to nearly the other side of the arena with her technique. She had not wasted even a second to talk to him or unfold her fan.

"Why only protect your arms?" Erza asked Naruto as he got rid of the armor protecting him and ran to the side, jumping over a tree that got sliced to pieces when Temari sent a second technique his way.

He was close range.

Naruto grinned.

"I need a few moments to charge up enough chakra, because in just a second, her wind won't be able to do a single thing." Naruto stated as he crossed his fingers in front of him, preparing for a large jutsu. His chakra rushed out of his body in great amounts even as he tried to avoid her attacks, since his arms had been kept safe from her initial attack. It had been quick reaction, but if his arms had been too injured to form a hand seal, he would be in a lot worse of a situation than he already was in.

"Shadow Clones... that assumes she can't just throw wind all around her at once, that she is limited to throwing it in a single direction."

Naruto thought about that.

Naruto created a single clone that grabbed him by the collar and threw him up higher into the air, where he kept his fingers crossed and created another clone. He jumped off of the clone's back and soared through the air as that clone was destroyed by a blast of wind.

"He's extremely agile even in the air, his clones give him a large space he can move. He can't fly, but if he can keep jumping, he doesn't need to." Temari could see what he was doing. Naruto created two clones, and two Narutos jumped in different directions, using the third clone to hide which one was the real one when they jumped off of him. She ignored the clone that was in the air and blasted the Naruto that went higher into the air, and then turned around and blasted the Naruto that jumped closer to her.

She didn't have unlimited chakra to waste on destroying clones that she KNEW where clones, and both of the clones were destroyed by her attacks. She hit the Naruto she thought to be a clone with a third blast.

*POOF*

'Where is he?' Temari looked around and didn't see Naruto anywhere. He wasn't hiding in the tree he jumped over, she would have noticed him move there and he didn't create a clone to mask his movements there.

She saw a shadow on the ground.

"Higher up!?" Temari shouted in shock, and she was forced to squint, seeing Naruto using the sun to blind her. She miscounted the amount of clones, because Naruto had used the smokescreen of clone creation to jump backwards, even higher up into the air. She didn't just block the shuriken he threw at her, she destroyed them and popped them, showing that they were clones as well. 'He was going to make me dodge and transform them back.'

A shuriken stabbed into her arm though.

-In the Audience-

"Damn, he used the smoke from the clones turned into shuriken explode, to perform the shadow shuriken technique in the gap between her attacks. Since she is partially blinded by the sun, she didn't notice him throw it as he threw the others." Tenten had to appreciate the skill it took to pull off that move.

The sheer chakra amount it would take made it a move that very few ninja could waste the energy doing.

Naruto knew she would destroy the shuriken and NOT risk them being clones stabbing the ground around her. Naruto had learned from watching her own fight against Temari, and how her weapons had bounced off. He predicted that Temari was wasting his own fights, and used his earlier tactics in battle to throw Temari off guard.

"That's pretty good."

"I know, I wasn't expecting that level of strategy. The kid has really grown."

'Even the more experienced ninja are surprised by this... the brat is impressing everyone.' Tenten thought, since not long ago she herself thought Naruto to just be some loud mouthed brat with a little bit of power.

-Back in the Arena-

"Damnit, that stings!" Temari pulled the shuriken from her arm as she swung her massive fan with her injured limb, sending a blast of wind. She tossed the shuriken to the ground, and she looked at it out of the corner of her eye. 'Is it a clone, the original transformed into a shuriken, or a real shuriken?' Temari thought as she watched Naruto in the air make a clone and jump towards the ground to dodge her wind blast.

She couldn't trust anything Naruto threw at her to not be a clone, but Naruto was willing to take damage by pretending to BE a clone as well. Just because something was a recklass move didn't mean this crazy person wasn't willing to do it.

He was also strong, she couldn't afford to take a direct punch to the face from him.

"Hey blondie, am I a clone or the real Naruto?" Naruto asked Temari with a grin on his face.

Temari grit her teeth and stomped on the shuriken on the ground, causing it to pop, showing that the shuriken had been transformed. She was thrown off balance for a second when she soon found herself to be stomping her foot on Naruto's face, and he was grinning.

He was grinning as he grabbed her leg.

"Sup." Naruto stated as he slapped an Explosive tag RIGHT on her shin. Temari JUMPED off of Naruto and reached down as the tag started to get ready to explode. She yanked it off of herself and tossed it to the side, before it exploded and used her fan to blow the explosion away.

Naruto and his clone rushed towards her.

"Great plan!" Erza shouted to Naruto with a grin.

Temari was smart.

Temari was too smart for her own good.

Trying to predict an opponent like Naruto, was hard to do because you were forced to try and think up 20 different things at the same time that could happen. An unpredictable opponent that had speedy healing and wasn't afraid to put their real body at risk was an even worse opponent for such a smart person to face. She was forced to second guess all of her plans simply because Naruto could be a clone, the real thing, or he could take damage just to dish it back at her.

Naruto grinned as he got in punching range.

The clone was popped when Temari hit it with the folded up fan, and she kicked the original Naruto in the stomach. She pulled a kunai out and stabbed him, she went for his head by stabbed his shoulder when he grabbed her by the wrist.

"Gotcha bitch, and I'm not afraid to punch a woman in the face." Naruto stabbed himself deeper in the shoulder with her kunai holding hand, and used it to get even closer to her. He grabbed her other wrist to stop her from attacking him.

*CONK*

Naruto SLAMMED his forehead against Temari's forehead, with blood gushing from her head as she was knocked backwards onto her back. Naruto grinned down at Temari, her eyes rolled into the back of her head AND her nose bleeding from the forehead blow.

"Should have worn her forehead protector... on your forehead." Naruto pointed his thumb up to his own protected forehead.

"You would have done the same thing even if she had been wearing it, and you weren't wearing yours... you're just that hard headed." Erza deadpanned at him with her arms crossed.

"Uzumaki Naruto wins by knock out, Temari is unable to move!"

"Speaking of which kid, you better go get your shoulder..."

Naruto's shoulder was already starting to heal from the stab wound, slowly but hopefully it would be completely healed before his next match. Naruto grinned to himself as he watched the medical ninja take Temari away from the arena, since the girl was unable to move on her own.

"YEAH! Way to avenge me Naruto!"

"... You were fighting to avenge her?" Erza heard Tenten's shout.

"No... no I wasn't, I wasn't even thinking about that." Naruto deadpanned as he looked around the stadium to try and find Temari.

Next up he would either fight Gaara or Sasuke.
