Éowyn is an endlessly fascinating character to me. This is her story, to my mind. Chapter 1 how she became a shieldmaiden. This story will eventually merge with my story of Faramir, "Bound by Duty; Bound by Joy" where they meet. It is her story in that story arc.

A women who lost but lived, now lost in a world not her own. how will she effect the story she knows. will she save those meant for death or let the story play out like the one she knows. falling in love as she travels a new world.

There were many happy occurrences when the War was finally over; alliances were made, marriages celebrated, and Realms rebuilt. But not everyone had a happy ending. Love cannot mend all things, cannot give everyone the future they crave or even deserve. Duty to the homeland comes above all else for many in Middle Earth. For two in particular, this was a bitter reality.
