What's this? I'm writing another fic when I still have so much planned for King's ambition? Abso-fucking-lutely. I need time to organize my thoughts for AKA because I plan on that being a wonderful piece of work before I'm done. I also love writing psychological romance and I plan on hurting lots of feelings with this one. Thank MizuTori for the inspiration (Opening is similar but I hope to go more in depth of how the characters feel and why and explain Neurodivergent brain stuff as much as possible!) I hope you all enjoy this story!

Chapter 1: The starting line

Momo

'One round, I couldn't even make it past the first round. Honestly, how did such a failure like me even end up at a prestigious school such as U.A. How could the daughter and heiress of the illustrious Yaoyorozu family be such a disappointment?'

These dark thoughts clouded the mind of Momo Yaoyorozu as she walked off the tournament stage. Her only hope now to find a dark corner to sit in. She just wished to be away from everyone, everything. She smiled as she walked off stage of course, she knew to appease the audience, just like Mom taught her.

Honestly, she couldn't help but to wonder if she hadn't made the wrong decision, trying to become a hero. After all, if Momo couldn't even think of how to beat her classmates in a friendly tournament. How could she ever be expected to save people?

The second she was out of sight, her head drooped, her shoulders sagged, the clouds above her head she had been holding off seemed to unleash a downpour and she started sobbing. Twisting corners and dark hallways were all she could remember before the sounds of the tournament fell away and she finally allowed herself to let it go.

Curling into a ball, pulling her knees into her chest, and dipping her head in between her legs. She just cried and choked out sobs as the darkness seemed to close in around her. She didn't even know how long she had been there when suddenly, from outside her little bubble, she heard a voice. "Y-Yaoyorozu?"

Izuku

Izuku was proud of his classmates, he really was. They always showed off such cool quirks and strategies built from years of practice! But if there was one thing he knew, it was that Momo Yaoyorozu didn't see it that way. It was the smile, fake, dead, devoid of the pride she should have in herself.

After all, if there was a single person on this planet who knew exactly what she was feeling, it would be him.

Years in the future, he could never tell you what possessed him to do it, but the next thing he knew he was standing and hurriedly saying he'd be back to Uraraka and Iida. Slipping through the standing crowd outside of the student section, he tried to think of where Yaoyorozu would have wanted to go.

Somewhere private for sure, but where in this giant stadium could be considered private? It would have to be quiet, after all, if she could hear the crowd it would just remind her even more of her "failure".

Izuku could never see it that way, she had such an amazing quirk! And to understand the molecular structure of hundreds of items would have been almost impossible for anyone else. Yet not only did she memorize them, but she could also use them on the fly! Did Yaoyorozu truly not see just how fantastic she was?

It suddenly hit him! The loading docks, there were concession stands here, that means that near the docks there should be some quiet spaces from the crowds. With his new destination in mind, he hurriedly made his way, following the signs to where he hoped his classmate would be. It's where he would go.

Traversing a few corners and hallways, he started to hear the quiet sounds of someone suffocating in their own darkness. He peeked around the corner to see Yaoyorozu in the fetal position, shoulders shaking with her quiet sobs.

It broke his heart, seeing his classmate like this. He knew all too well what it meant to feel like a failure, a waste of space, to feel like no matter what you do it will never be good enough. After all, everyone in his own life tried their best to make him feel that way.

Izuku wondered if he should truly do this, there had to be someone better for this right? No, no he knew he was sabotaging himself.Izuku had to help Yaoyorozu, she deserved better than to wallow in her own despair. Not when he could do something about it.

"Y-Yaoyorozu?"

Yaoyorozu slowly lifted her head, only to see glowing emerald eyes looking back at her. She was caught in those shimmering orbs for a moment before shaking her head and responding. "Y-yes Midoriya? Can I help you?"

Now, Izuku Midoriya may not be what one would call 'Socially Adept', but even he could tell that the young heiress was not ok. He didn't know if he could help her, hell, he didn't even know if he could talk to her. But if there was one thing Izuku "Broken Bones" Midoriya was good at, it was meddling. So in a bout of courage, he stuttered out.

"I-it's o-ok to be u-upset!"

The Yaoyorozu heiress couldn't help but to look at her forest palleted classmate in shock. It was not very often that he spoke up quite so vehemently, and it showed on both of their faces.

The ravenette took a moment to compose herself, putting on her "Heiress Face", and replied quietly.

"I-I don't quite know what you are talking about Midoriya, I'm perfectly fine."

What came out of Midoriya's mouth next would shock both to their cores.

"That's bullshit Yaoyorozu."

The vulgar language coming from Midoriya quickly put whatever else Yaoyorozu may have said to the side as she took stock of what he just spit out; but Izuku wasn't done just yet.

"I can spot that look anywhere, that fake smile, the tears just behind your eyes, the way you stiffen your muscles just so you don't curl into a ball in front of everyone. How everything seems just a little less colorful, how it feels like your being crushed, your heart hurts and your lungs are burning for air. That's not new to me, I had to live with that for 11 years and I refuse to let you sit here and suffer alone. Not when I can help!"

Momo Yaoyorozu expected a lot of things to come today, timid Izuku Midoriya trying, and succeeding, to give her a pep talk was definitely not one of them. She still couldn't help but to look at her hands and shake in shame, knowing that she was useless, both as a person and as a hero.

Looking up at the verdant teen, she hiccupped on her words, throat still constricted from her tears, and said, "I w-was n-not even ab- able t-t-to make it pa-past the first-t-t round. I ch-choked, what kind of u-u-useless h-hero chokes?!"

If she had been looking up, she would have seen Izuku with one of the most determined looks he has ever worn, prepared to help her know matter what. He sat beside her, and then began telling her a story.

"Did you know everyone thought I was quirkless until the day of the entrance exam?"

THAT was something the young heiress was not prepared to hear today, especially from the boy with enough power in his little finger to send a ball through the sound barrier. She was looking at Midoriya's face for any sign of deception, wondering what he could have possibly been talking about. 'Quirkless?' She silently wondered, 'This boy beat one of the most brutal students of our grade with only one hit of his quirk and if the rumor was true, completely obliterated the 0 pointer in his arena. With strength like that how could he possibly be quirkless?' Not that there was anything wrong with being quirkless of course, but it was just totally unexpected.

Seeing the look of surprise, the quirk inheritor gave out a sigh, "Yep, that was me, useless, quirkless, I was told my whole life by everyone I'd ever met that I would never amount to anything. That I would forever be just a pebble on the side of the road." Izuku chuckled darkly at this, as if his life were some sick joke that only he found funny.

Eyes downtrodden, while he was beginning to tell her his story, she was wondering where she had heard those words before. However, before she could contemplate on it further, Izuku continued.

"I was barely even 5 when it started, kids stopped wanting to play with me, if they did, we would only play heroes and villains. I was the villain of course; I was the strange one. The one who would steal their quirks since I didn't have one of my own." He paused for a moment in reminiscence before continuing.

"The kids with the powerful quirks soon became the top of the class and would pick on those weaker than them. I've always wanted to be a hero, ever since I could remember. If I saw them picking on someone I always stepped in; I took the hits for those who weren't already used to it. Of course, they'd run away afterwards, leaving me to the beating in their stead. The closest I ever got to thanks was when one girl gave me a band-aid after a particularly rough day. No one ever spoke to me though just in case it was contagious."

Even Midoriya was a bit shocked at how, venomous, that sounded but he soldiered on.

"I know pain, Yaoyorozu, and I am more than willing to help you with yours. After all, you don't deserve to suffer through that."
The raven-haired teen could hear the slight emphasis on, you, but she was so shocked at his story that she wasn't fully processing properly. She could only offer a quick reply, "Why would you tell me this?"

The verdant teen could only look at her with a sad smile, knowing that he barely told her anything at all, and said, "Because we're classmates, heroes in training together, I can't help myself. I saw you needed help, and I knew I could understand. The pain and loneliness you felt, you don't have to go through it alone." After his proclamation, his smile beamed and Yaoyorozu couldn't help but to feel slightly warmer after seeing it.

Midoriya had found the smallest chip in the wall around her heart, and he beat into it with a jack hammer. Even if it only made a small hole, her walls were just a bit weakened after hearing his story.

Looking up at his face once more, she decided to tell him how she felt, "I can't help but to feel weak, disappointed in myself, ashamed of my spot as number one in the class. I mean I lost so fast; it's like I wasn't even a challenge for Tokoyami. What am I supposed to do if I can't even make it past the first round of a sports competition like this? When someone needs help, how am I supposed to be able to think of how to save them when I just freeze?"

Midoriya let his smile slip away as he listened to his classmate's problems. He was all serious, hero mode, ready to help however he could.

"That's the thing though, isn't it? We are supposed to help people Yaoyorozu, but we are also kids. We are barely into our second month of U.A's hero course, and we have so much to learn. Yes, Tokoyami beat you today, but what about tomorrow? Or the day after? Every single day is a chance for you to improve, a day to learn more, to become an even better hero. You may have lost today, but as long as you're alive you can always try again tomorrow."

His words had a profound effect on the beautiful girl beside him. Thinking on his words, she started to see what he meant, 'Of course, I lost today yes, but I am Momo Yaoyorozu, and if there is one thing I would like to believe I am good at. It's learning.' Her confidence might not be soaring exactly, but it's no longer the broken mess that it was shortly before.

Midoriya could slowly see her shoulders lower from their tense state, and the smile return to her beautiful visage. Smiling at his success, he couldn't help but to internally cheer, 'At least I could help someone else.' Knowing that he himself was a lost cause.

Taking a moment to collect herself once more, Yaoyorozu was about to speak again when the speakers overhead blared with Present Mic's crass tone. "Can the Rock and Roll and Real Steel come to the stage for their match!? Oh YEAH!"

Jumping slightly at the sound, both teens looked at each other before Yaoyorozu spoke up, "Do you think we should go watch their match?"

Midoriya could hear the slight depressed tone of her voice, which in his mind, he knew she was basically begging for another moment to hide from the crowds. Despite wanting to support his classmate in the ring, thinking about the quirks being presented he already had an idea of how the match would go. So, smiling like a human personification of sunshine, he said, "W-we can s-stay h-here, I have a f-feeling their m-match is going to b-be… stale. O-only if y-you want t-t-to of course!"

The ravenette giggled at the returning stutter, and she thought it was slightly cute. Her eyes widened a bit at the sudden thought, but then decided it wasn't worth thinking about for now and instead focused on her classmate. Who was slightly shaking in anxiety waiting for her response.

"I would love to Midoriya." Shortly after though, she turned her head downwards, and with a small smile said, "And thank you…" So quietly that Midoriya almost didn't catch it.

He did in fact catch it though, and couldn't help but to beam in response, knowing that he did a good thing for his classmate. Midoriya also knew that she wasn't entirely off the topic of her loss, even if she was handling it better now, and decide a distraction was in order.

"H-hey! So, I was w-w-wondering…" Midoriya paused slightly, hoping he did not come off as rude. "Could I ask you about your quirk? I've always loved analyzing quirks and yours is just so amazing!"

The stutter slid away as he started getting into his favorite topic outside of heroes. Though he wasn't sure if it technically counted since they were kind of intertwined.

She was thinking of asking a couple questions herself, trying to find a way to fill the silent gap that had formed and decided that she wouldn't mind it too much.

"Of course, Midoriya, feel free to ask any question you would like."

A sudden gleam came to Izuku Midoriya's emerald eyes and just as quickly a notebook and pen materialized out of thin air. Yaoyorozu blinked, wondering if she was hit harder than she thought during her match with Tokoyami before hearing Midoriya start on one of his infamous muttering sprees.

"She is incredible for memorizing the molecular structure of literally hundreds of items, does her quirk perhaps affect her memory? What does her diet normally consist of? I've seen her eat more than the average girl her age and size so does the food condense into her body for more fuel? It would make sense considering she could make a literal cannon and that has more mass than she herself does as far as I know. Does her workout affect her quirk as well? The more physically fit she is the better her quirk works perhaps? Is she heavier than the average girl her age? Nothing bad of course, she's incredibly beautiful but if her quirk does condense the food she eats then she most likely has a higher mass than even most adults…"

Deciding that now was a good time to stop Midoriya from going to far down the rabbit hole, she quickly interrupted, "To answer your questions Midoriya, I'm not sure if my quirk affects my memory but I would love to test it our sometime. My diet is high in protein because of my workouts but for my quirk specifically I do best with healthy fats, sugars, and carbohydrates. I do have a denser musculature than most people due to the condensed food. My quirk does work better the more physically fit I am, and I must thank you for the compliment. I deeply appreciate it."

Midoriya was both extremely shocked and embarrassed. Embarrassed because the amazing girl at his side heard him call her beautiful, and shocked because she understood his muttering. No one ever cared about his muttering, it was stupid, and creepy. He never had any good opinions anyway.

Despite his shock, he was already adding all this new information to Yaoyorozu's pages in his notebook. Knowing that he might not get another chance to before the upcoming rounds.

Momo Yaoyorozu has been raised to respect everyone and their privacy, but she couldn't help being curious about her viridian classmate and that mythical notebook of his. Everyone knew he had an analytical mind for quirks, and she wished to get a peek at her own page in his journal.

What she saw, blew her mind straight out of whatever funk it had been in at the moment. It was her page in the notebook for sure, but on what she assumed was the very first page of her section was a photo realistic drawing of her. It appeared to be drawn from memory as it was of her next to her cannon in the quirk assessment test.

Hair swirling in the gust made from the powerful shot, sweat dripping down her face from the exertion of the day, cheeks slightly sunken from overusing her quirk through all 9 tests. Her shirt was flowing, giving only the slightest hint of midriff, but the most amazing thing was her smile. He made it look like she was a beacon of light given human form.

It was breathtaking how much life he put into that single art piece.

"Midoriya, that is the most beautiful drawing I've ever seen." She could not help but to breathily say this aloud, having been at a loss for words only moments before.

The quirk inheritor panicked at the thought of someone seeing his notebook, having been so distracted a moment before that he didn't cover the pages as well as he normally did. "U-u-u-uh t-t-t-t-thank you Y-Y-Yaoyorozu, it's o-ok I g-g-guess…"

He trailed off and the heiress noticed just how shaky he was and how intense his stutter suddenly became. Backing off quickly she said "Oh I'm so sorry Midoriya! I was simply curious as to what you were writing in your notebook when I saw it, I wasn't trying to invade your personal space." Something about his reaction was setting off alarm bells in her head, but she didn't want to be too presumptuous, so she left it alone for now.

Honestly, our emerald protagonist was surprised he wasn't having a panic attack at this point. Hearing that Kirishima and Tetsutetsu's fight ended in a draw, he questioned the girl next to him. "Hey, Uraraka has her match next, if you're feeling up to it, would you like to go support her with me?"

The girls were pretty close knit at this point, and knowing she was up against Bakugo, decided that supporting her friend was a wonderful idea. "Yes, I think that's splendid."

Midoriya gave Yaoyorozu one of his signature smiles filled with sunshine, stood up, and extended his hand to help her off the ground.

Gracefully accepting the offered appendage, Yaoyorozu stood up and unconsciously pulled Midoriya closer to her before letting go and leading the way back to the stands.

The two teens chatted about inconsequential things while walking back, like school and heroes. Yes, those two subjects are basically the same thing but hey, they barely know each other.

After making their way into the 1-A viewing booth, they caught the tail end of one of Iida's "lectures"

"- so, as I was saying, the human leg is often described as being on average 3x stronger than your upper limbs and I just don't understand everyone's incessant need to punch things!"

This one sentence would change Midoriya's outlook on life and reinforce his opinion that he was an absolute idiot.

Yaoyorozu almost didn't hear him, honestly, she wasn't even sure if she did hear him correctly. All she knew was that she heard the words, "I have legs…" quietly tumble from her green themed classmate and that she was not going to ask questions regardless.

"FOR OUR NEXT FIGHT WE HAVE THE LOUDMOUTH DYNAMITE MAKER BAKUGOU KATSUKI!"

Everyone turned their heads back to the ring at the sound of Present Mic's voice, some worried for their friend, others excited for what would definitely be a spectacle. After all, Bakugou never does anything by halves.

"AND IN OUR OTHER CORNER! WE HAVE THE GRAVITY DEFYING, HIGH FLYING URARAKA OCHAKO!"

Both competitors walked out onto the field as the announcements were going on, game faces on. This match would be remembered by everyone, that was a given.

Ochako was sprawled out on the ground unconscious, it was an incredible effort on the brunette's part. Unfortunately, Bakugou just had too much fire power for her to handle. While she was being escorted away on a stretcher, even though he knew from personal experience that she would be fine, Midoriya had the need to go check on his friend.

Standing for the second time that day, our verdant protagonist turned to his friends and spoke quickly, "I'm going to g-go check on her."

Iida stood up at the same time and in his usual over enthusiastic manner said, "A great idea Midoriya! As the class representative I shall go with you, it is my job to keep up with the health of our classmates!"

Yaoyorozu felt a slight pull in her chest, not wanting to be separated from her green haired emotional support broccoli just yet and wishing to check on her friend, she rose from her spot and offered to go with them as well.

Grateful for the extra support for their friend, the boys quickly agreed and all three ran off to find their eternally blushing classmate.

Walking down the halls to the medical rooms reserved for competitors, the 3 musketeers stopped just outside of the door as it swung open. Bakugou stepped out and looked at his assembled classmates, scoffed, and immediately left in the other direction. Pulling up behind the perpetually angry blonde, Recovery Girl closed the door and spoke with the ensemble she spotted outside of her workspace.

"She's fine, a little banged up but nothing I couldn't fix, she's talking to her parents right now so I would suggest leaving her be until she is ready."

Turning back to his classmates, Iida-with a surprising bit of red in his face-, spoke "I can wait here for Uraraka until she is ready, Midoriya, your match is up next so I would suggest going to your waiting room. Yaoyorozu, would you mind escorting him there?"

Outside of the stress filled situation from earlier, Izuku's anxiety was through the roof. Before he could complain however, Yaoyorozu swiftly replied with a yes, grabbing his arm she gently tugged him along in the direction of the fighter's rooms.

While all of this was going on, there was a man dressed in bandages and black clothes in the commentator booth. Looking like a homeless mummy, this man was Shota Aizawa, Pro Hero Eraserhead and Homeroom teacher for class 1-A. Normally he would be sleeping, however his best friend and current co-commentator Present Mic was forcing him to stay awake for the Sports Festival.

So instead of focusing on unnecessary complications, he was looking over his students grades and tests from their other teachers. Currently he was on seat number 18, the problem child, Izuku Midoriya.

Now Aizawa would never admit it, however he had a small soft spot for the kid. The boy was intuitive, heroic to a fault, and while some of his plans would fall apart, he was already bouncing back ready to go for round 2.

Back to the paperwork however, Eraserhead noticed something. Blinking he was checking to see if his eyes were playing tricks on him. No, no this was real, every single test or homework that Midoriya handed in was either a perfect 90 or as close to it as he could get within the point total per question.

Thrown off by the extremely suspicious coincidence, he studied the work more thoroughly. They were all done in his handwriting, so he wasn't cheating. He noticed a bit of erased work on the side, quickly placing it on the table and pulling out his pen, he scribbled over it so that the indents showed whatever was there before hand.

To say what he saw shocked him would be an understatement. Midoriya had calculated the worth of every question on this test, and if Aizawa knew half of what he thought he did, Midoriya probably did it on the rest of the tests too. 'But why would he do that?' Aizawa mused, 'It's a waste of time he could have spent on the tests instead, unless he is purposefully sabotaging his grades?'

Pulling out his phone, albeit painfully as he was incredibly injured from the USJ incident, he snapped a quick picture and sent it to Nezu with the caption. "Do you see this?"

While waiting for a response from the all-powerful master rodent thing in charge of the school, Present Mic burst back into the booth with lunch for both of them.

"Hey Shota! I have food!" Shouted out the cockatoo, -ahem-, I mean Present Mic.

"Ugh, do you always have to be so loud Hizashi?" Grumbled out the annoyed underground hero.

"What can I say! It's part of my charm! If you truly hated it, we wouldn't be friends!"

"Are we really friends Mic?"

Present Mic stopped cold, looked Aizawa in the eyes, and said "That's cold Shota…"

Before Eraserhead could come with another quip, they were interrupted by a cackle, turning towards the sound had both teachers stop cold in the sight of the sinister smile of one Principal Nezu.

"While I find your interactions hilarious as always Yamada, Aizawa, I'm merely stopping by to let you know that I did in fact see what you sent me. It is… intriguing…"

Eraserhead froze at that, he hadn't even realized what he had done when he sent the photo to the school overlord. It was too late for take backs however, as Nezu proceeded to pull a pile of papers out of nowhere and continued with what he was saying.

"This here is a test of my design! It contains a great many subjects, all above high school level of course, I wish for you to create your own 'baseline test' similar to this at the level your students perform at; and replace Izuku Midoriya's with this one. If he gets the same score, well… I might have to take a more personal approach… to his education."

Aizawa was more than a little rattled, mostly because of Nezu's newfound interest in his problem child, but partly because of the fact that he just had a test like this ready apparently. Knowing however, that the principal would settle for nothing else, merely grumbled out an affirmative and began eating the lunch that Mic had brought.

"Excellent!" began Nezu, "I am oh so excited for the results Eraserhead! I shall leave you and Mic to your banter once more." Before walking out the door, taking with him the last of Aizawa's hope for sanity.

Back with Midoriya and Yaoyorozu, they were traversing the last hall before the competitor's rooms in relative silence. Wanting to break the silence that invaded the air around them, the young heiress tried to ask him about his plans for the match ahead.

"Do you have any ideas for your match with Todoroki, Midoriya?"

The emerald eyed quirk inheritor wasn't quite ready for conversation just yet, but he didn't want to be rude, so he spoke anyway. "W-well, u-uh… I know that Todoroki is really strong… m-much stronger than me at least…"

This revelation of self-doubt shocked the ravenette, despite hearing his past earlier, she had a hard time believing that the strong and heroic boy in front of her could have so little faith in himself. She wanted to help him, like he helped her. 'Midoriya is so powerful, and yet he is still one of the nicest people I have ever, I want him to see how amazing he is.'

"Well, I know that you are one of the most amazing people I've ever met Midoriya…" She paused for a moment, thinking of what she could say next while Midoriya just looked up at her with an expression of disbelief. No one has ever spoken kindly of him before, even All Might had his moments where it hurt Izuku to look at him. Yet here was the smartest, most beautiful girl in his class, telling him that he was amazing? It just didn't make sense.

Before his traitorous thoughts could send him further down the rabbit hole, she spoke again.

"You are powerful, immensely so. You never show it because your clothes are so baggy, but you clearly worked hard for the physical strength you possess even without your quirk. I only caught a glimpse of your notebook and I can already tell you are incredibly inventive and ingenious in their use and potential. You are kind and heroic, never afraid to step in to help someone else. I mean you even helped me, and I don't believe we ever spoke before today… I'll be cheering for you Midoriya, I know you can do this."

… Flabbergasted is probably the only acceptable word to describe how the verdant teen felt at such a declaration.

'She probably doesn't even mean it; she'll turn on you just like everyone else.' Spoke up Izuku's inner thoughts.

'But what if she means it? What if she actually believes in me?' Izuku thought back to himself.

'… Your funeral'

Sighing, Midoriya turned to Yaoyorozu who was waiting for a response, but as he smiled and went to say thank you, they were interrupted by a brash and arrogant voice from the direction of his room.

"Boy!"

Turning to the shout, both teens were surprised to see the Number Two Hero Endeavor leaning against the wall next to the competitor's room. Before they could question why he was there he spoke up again.

"Your power reminds me of All Might boy. My Shoto was created for the sole purpose of surpassing him as the Number One Hero, you will be a good test for how far he has come. Get him to use his flames so he can finally surpass that smiling fool, be the steppingstone he needs."

Endeavor turned to strut away, arrogance radiating off of him like some sick aroma, he only managed two steps however before Midoriya spoke up.

"Is that all Todoroki is to you Endeavor? A creation? Is he not your son…" The last sentence came out less as a question and more as a statement, though neither Endeavor nor Yaoyorozu could see the boy's face as his head was down.

"Don't be foolish boy, of course Shoto is my son. If he weren't, I would never be able to say that my progeny surpassed All Might, now would I?"

It took a moment; the hallway was silent at such a proclamation of such unbridled arrogance and hubris from the Flame hero. Then the temperature seemed to drop, electricity crackled, and the smell of ozone permeated the air.

Both the ravenette teen and the Number Two Hero were stunned at the sheer aura that he wielded. Midoriya lifted his head to look Endeavor in the eye, his iris was warping like the lightning he himself created, and made his point very, clear.

"I will say this only once, I will get Todoroki to use his flames; but not for you. He is not some creation of yours, he is his own person, and I will make sure he realizes that. I swore I would save every single person I can, because that, is what a hero does. We don't do this for some silly thing like RANKING, Endeavor. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a match to prepare for, have a good day."

Swiftly grabbing Yaoyorozu by her hand, he stepped around the baffled Flame hero in front of him, opened the door to his room, and entered it with her before slamming it shut once more. A click of the lock being the only reminder of their presence in the hallway.

In the now locked room, Midoriya slowly slid down the door mumbling and panicking at the scene he just created.

"OhmygodIcan'tbelieveIjustsaidallofthattoEndeavorofallpeopleImeanreallyit'sEndeavorwhatwasIeventhinkinggoingagainsthimyeahthedudeisanabsolutebuffoonifhethinksheownshissonlikethatbutstillthatwasjusillyofmeohgod…"

The heiress decided that this was enough panic for one day, knelt down in front of Midoriya, and grabbed his hands with hers. Wrapping them in a gentle embrace, though this still caused the green haired teen to jump as if he was about to be attacked and spoke softly but firmly.

"Midoriya, if you had not done that, I would have spoken up myself. What Endeavor said was wrong on so many levels; I'm proud to see you display the strength to stand up to him ok? Take some deep breaths and let's focus on your upcoming fight with Todoroki."

The quirk inheritor was still breathing heavier than strictly necessary, but there is a good chance that was because of his hands being held by such a gorgeous girl like Yaoyorozu.

Taking his silence as acceptance of the situation and seeing that he was not quite as jumpy, Yaoyorozu pulled him gently to his feet, smirked and said, "So what is your plan Midoriya?"

I hope this met all of your expectations and more! I love writing psychological drama as much as I like writing fight scenes! I wonder if you all caught what Deku did near the beginning? It was real sneaky of him but is also an actual trauma response. Leave a review below, let me know what you think, and I will see you guys next time!
