Chapter 31

"Acier Silva Clover, I refuse to wear that."

"But Ren!" A cloaked Ren, her hood still up, crossed her arms at a pouting Acier next to her a mannequin that had a short night blue dress with stars embroidered on it.

"I don't need to dress up for this." Ren told her. "More importantly, how do you even know my size?!"

"You're about my height, so I used that for reference." Acier replied. "Besides, it's only for one day! Can you please wear the dress for just one day?"

"What do you need me to wear this for anyway?" Ren demanded.

"The Star Awards Festival that's coming up in about 2 weeks." Acier answered.

"Star Festival? You mean that festival where you tally gold stars for your Magic Knight Squads?" Ren questioned.

"That's right." Acier nodded, a light smile on her face.

"What does that have to do with me wearing that dress?" Ren asked, hands on her hips before she blinked. "Oh no. No. Forget it, Acier." Acier pouted again and crossed her arms.

"Oh come on! Please?" Acier tried again.

"You wanted me here to help those 2 young ones, not to make a huge appearance in a festival." Ren frowned.

"Yes, I did say that." Acier admitted. "But I thought it'd be fun for you to be a part of the Star Awards Festival at least once. Besides, you'll be seeing Yuno and Mimosa there, too."

"But do we really want her in this dress?" Fay asked, flying to the dress. "I mean she is beautiful enough as is. If she wears this, guys will be flocking her."

"Your exaggerations are getting old Fay." Ren deadpanned. Acier laughed lightly at Fay and Ren's small argument.

"Except Fay isn't exaggerating." Acier remarked.

"Of course he is. He has been for over 50 years." Ren scoffed.

"So oblivious." Fay sighed. Acier shook her head, her smile widening.

"He isn't exaggerating, Ren." Acier told her.

"We're getting off track here." Ren scowled.

"Oh! Right. Sorry." Acier chuckled. "So, the dress. Can you please wear it for the Star Awards Festival day?"

"What's wrong with my regular white dress?" Ren dared to ask.

"You're not getting married?" Fay guessed.

"Fay!" Ren scowled. Acier couldn't help but laugh. After her laughter calmed down a bit, she spoke.

"Nothing is wrong with your white dress." Acier replied. "In fact, I love it. But the Star Awards Festival is a special occasion that only happens once a year in the Clover Kingdom. Or if you prefer, 6 months after the Magic Knights Entrance Exam. And like I said, you only have to wear this specific dress one time. You could even trash it or give it to someone else after the Star Awards Festival is over if you'd like." She giggles before adding. "Though if you were to give it to someone, give it to Queen Lolopechka of Heart." Ren looked at Acier, then at the dress again for a moment.

"Just 1 day?" Ren asked.

"Just 1 day." Acier repeated. "If you wish to wear it again, that is up to you. Otherwise, you have the choice to trash it or donate it to someone else." Ren looked at the dress again before she sighed.

"I'm gonna regret this." She muttered. "Mind getting out so I can try it on?"

"I don't mind at all." Acier replied, going to the door and opening it. "I'll wait outside, alright?" Ren gave a nod as Fay followed Acier out the room, closing the door behind her.

"Well that went well." He remarked.

"Yes it did." Acier agreed. "Now we just wait for Ren to put it on."

"Be frank with me, is this just to show her off to someone?" Fay asked with a grin. Like back at Elysia, Acier tried to keep her giggling in, but failed horribly.

"I have no idea what you're trying to get at Fay." Acier answered "innocently".

"Come on lady! Let me in on this! I've been wanting her to see someone for decades!" Fay begged. Acier laughed again.

"Why yes! Of course I plan to show her off to someone!~" Acier grinned. "Do you remember back at Elysia when I mentioned Yuno and Mimosa to Ren?"

"Yes." Fay nodded, before he gasped. "No! You're gonna set her up with him?!"

"Hahaha! Yes!" Acier giggled. "Isn't it great?!~"

"You ma'am are a genius. But do you think they'll really hit it off?" Fay asked excitedly. Acier put a hand to her chin and rubbed it in thought.

"Hmm… I would like to believe that they will." Acier replied. "But we shall see, now won't we?~"

"I'll be praying." Fay grinned. Then Ren's voice spoke from the room.

"Ok you can come in." She voiced.

"Alright." Acier replied as she turned slightly and opened the door to re-enter the room. Once Acier and Fay came in, they gasped in awe. The night blue of the dress complimented Ren's pale skin, the star embroidery sparkled with the silver star chain hanging on her waist with the sash pinned with a dark blue rose. She also wore laced up night blue flats, a silver star necklace, and a dark blue rose hair piece tying her blue hair back.

"Well?" Ren asked.

"Amazing Ren dear!~ Acier almost cooed.

"Yup. We're gonna need a captain to fend off the men." Fay nodded.

"Oi!" Ren sweatdropped.

"And I know just the one who could do that." Acier giggled. "Temporary Captain of the Crimson Lions, Mereoleona Vermillion."

"Ok 1. Do not take him seriously, Acier." Ren sighed. "And 2. Are we talking about the Undefeated Lioness Mereoleona Vermillion? How is she a Captain? Last I heard, she despises politics."

"I have to take Fay seriously when it comes to your obliviousness, Ren." Acier snickered. "As for Mereoleona, you're right. She despises politics. But because of what the Eye of the Midnight Sun did to Fuegoleon, Mereoleona had to take his Captain position for a time."

"He still hasn't woken up?" Ren frowned in worry. Acier raised her hands up and shook them.

"No no. He's awake." Acier reassured Ren. "If Captain Fana hadn't sealed his right arm's wound with her Flame Recovery Magic: Phoenix Robe, Fuegoleon would have been in a coma."

"I see." Ren remarked.

"You should see him one of these days. He is technically your relative." Fay replied. Ren sweatdropped and sighed, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Won't it be a bit odd for them? I mean I'm technically more of an ancestor than a relative." Ren replied.

"More like a cousin thrice removed or something." Acier retorted.

"I suppose. But don't you think having Mereoleona 'guarding me is a bit much?" Ren asked.

"No." Fay deadpanned. Acier paused for a good few minutes, thinking over what she'd say next. After another minute or 2, Acier spoke up.

"I mean, would you prefer Captain Fana Mars, and Elf Fana doing it?" Acier questioned.

"Elf Fana?" Ren blinked.

"One of Licht's friends." Acier replied. Ren grew wide eyed at this. Her body stiffened.

"My grandfather's…?" She questioned. "D-Does she know I'm…?"

"I haven't told her.' Acier answered. "You'd have to ask Elf Fana herself when you see her."

"I see…" Ren swallowed. Ren walked to the mirror to look at her reflection smoothing over the dress.

"You'll most likely see her at the Star Awards Festival." Acier told Ren as she approached Ren and placed her left hand on Ren's right shoulder. "But I have to ask: Are you alright?"

"I suppose hearing about someone who I thought is dead would come as a shock to me. Especially when it's someone who is a friend to my late grandfather." Ren admitted with a sigh. "But with the Eye of the Midnight Sun, I don't think I can be surprised about anything anymore."

"Understandable." Acier nodded. Then to their surprise, they heard knocking at the door. Ren got her black and red cloak, putting it back on and putting up her hood.

"I'll get it." Acier told Ren as she approached the door and opened it to reveal Marx. "Marx? What's wrong? Did Julius abandon his work again for an adventure to find new magic?" Marx began to breathe normally again. Though his face still had some sweat trickling down it. Most likely from him running all the way here.

"No… I know where...he is…." Marx breathed out, eventually recomposing himself. "But seriously, I classify this as an emergency! Lord Julius is in the basement of the Clover Castle with Asta! All I remember hearing is that Lord Julius is going to take something out of Asta's grimoire. Can't recall what though."

"Asta's grimoire…" Acier mused before turning her attention to the still somewhat frantic Marx. "Alright. If this is as important as you say it is, I will follow you, Marx." She glanced at Ren, who had her hood up. "You're more then welcome to come with me and Marx if you want to, Ren."

"I'll come. Curious about what he is supposedly getting out of Asta's grimoire." Ren replied.

"Then please follow me." Marx replied as he turned on his heel and strided out of the room; Acier and Ren followed him.

After about 10-15 minutes of silent walking, the 3 reach the basement.

"I'm not sure why Lord Julius and Asta chose this place to do...whatever they needed to do, but I guess it makes sense." Marx remarked. "This place in the castle has the most books out of any other room in the castle. So I suppose that could be why they chose it.

"Owowowow! I hate needles!"

"Kek kek! And you think I don't Asta? It's your own fault that you insisted on this ludicrous idea! Your might as well be called wife, Noelle, warned you about this idea! As did I! But noooooo! You just had to be a selfless moron! Again!"

"Hmm?" Ren frowned. Acier's heart skipped a few beats.

"Liebe?" Acier asked. "Is that you in there with Asta and Julius?" She turned the doorknob and opened the door carefully. Once she did, she and Ren could see Julius had a needle in Asta's right arm, which was injecting a red and black liquid into his body. Next to him was a being around Asta's height. White hair, red eyes, 2 black lines going down his cheeks; one on each side. 2 bull horns sprouting from the top of his head, and 2 bat-like wings sprouting out of his back.

"Well...this is the price you have to pay. Since you wanted to get your foster brother out of the grimoire, Asta." Julius chuckled awkwardly.

"I know! But still!" Asta complained.

"Kek kek! On the bright side, we share my Anti-Magic power now." Liebe pointed out.

"Liebe!" Acier smiled, striding up to him to give him a hug. Liebe wasn't given time to register what was happening right away.

"A-Acier…!" Liebe breathed out. "You're hugging...too tight….!"

"Oh!" Acier let go. "Sorry! I'm just really happy to see you in the flesh again! Oh!" She gestured to Ren. "This is Ren. She's going to be staying in Clover for awhile."

"Ren?!" Asta gaped in surprise.

"What. The. Hell?!" Ren hissed, her hackles raised, along with her mana. "Why the actual hell is there a Devil here!?"

"Oh gods here too?!" Fay hissed, flying back.

"...Huh?" Liebe asked in confusion. "Why is she looking at me like I'm going to be her lunch?" Acier pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Let's just say that a Devil 500 years ago screwed up her family." Acier replied sadly.

"Acier explain. Now. Or there is gonna be blood spilled in here." Ren snapped, her grimoire already out. Julius raised his hand to cast Time Binding Magic: Chronostasis, but Acier raised her right arm up to stop him.

"Wait just a moment Julius." Acier told him. "I know you want to stop the bloodshed that could be spilled here, but binding her with Chronostasis will just make her more angry. So I will explain the best I can." Julius lowered his right hand and nodded.

"Alright. I will add in what I can as well." Julius agreed.

"Thank you." Acier smiled before turning to Ren and Fay. "Oh boy. Where to start? Well for starters, Liebe has no magic whatsoever. Because of this, he was deemed the weakest out of all the Devils in the Underworld. Then one day, a Higher Ranked Devil tossed him up at the barrier in hopes to shatter his body. That ended in failure and he ended up in the Clover Kingdom."

"But despite this, he was not treated much better." Julius chimed in. "Like the commoner class *twitched at mentioning it* he was treated just as badly."

"Just when I thought I'd die, a human woman found me in the woods." Liebe added. "Probably near Hage Village, but I don't care for the details. Either way, she brought me back to her home and took care of me. Treated me as if I was her own son." He laughed. "Kek kek. Which is kind of funny, because that woman's real son is right here." He gestured to Asta, who chuckled awkwardly. Before Liebe continued, his facial expression became dark. "A year passed since that day. And that's when tragedy struck….." He clenched his hands into tight fists. "That selfish, greedy bastard Lucifero found me, 1 of the 3 Rulers of the Underworld, and took over my body….! And as moronic as Asta's Mother was…. She gave herself up so that I could live. And the only way I can repay her is by living. And thanks to the Wizard King of Clover, I can." He sighed, and turned his attention to Fay and Ren. "If you believe this to be a sob story, or that Devils can't feel emotions other than greed, pride, and any other sin you can think of, go right ahead. It's not like I can really stop you 2 from killing me. Kek kek. Not like Queen Acier, Wizard King Julius, or Asta here would let you." He paused, then added. "If you even wish to hate me, so be it. I just recently started getting in on positive terms with the 4 Angels that have Human Hosts in this world."

"Are you even sure you can trust it?" Ren demanded to Acier with a frown.

"Yeah. I've met Demons more trustworthy than Devils." Fay frowned.

"I trust him." Acier replied. "Unlike other Devils I've read on, Liebe understands human emotions. That's because he was taken care of by Asta's Mother, Licita. As Liebe said."

"Yes." Julius nodded. "This is the world me and Acier are aiming for. Where there's no discrimination, no predjuice. Where all races get along. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Angels, Devils, Demons, Dragons." He chuckled. "You get the idea." The 2 blinked looking at one another.

"They said de-!" Ren grabbed Fay before he could finish with a sigh.

"Well so long as he doesn't do anything, then I suppose I can live with it." She replied.

"Kek kek! Good to hear!" Liebe grinned. "Because I'll be joining the Silver Eagles Squad! So you'll be seeing me a lot while you're visiting, elf girl."

"Don't push your luck devil brat." Ren scoffed. "Anyway I'm going back upstairs."

"To change back?" Julius questioned, taking notice of Ren wearing the special dress Acier got her.

"That and process today and mentally prepare myself for the festival thanks to your queen." Ren deadpanned.

"Haha. Too true." Julius chuckled. "I do apologize for aiming to use Time Binding Magic: Chronostasis on you." Ren only waved him off.

"Wouldn't be the first time I nearly get hit with a spell. Sure won't be the last." She replied.

"Fair enough." Julius nodded.

"So you're going to be at the Star Awards Festival, Ren?" Asta asked. "If so, great!"

"She is, yes Asta." Acier smiled. "I'll be joining you upstairs in a bit Ren. But first!" She put her right and into one of her pockets on her dress and took out a folded cloak and handed it to Liebe. "Here you go dear. The Silver Eagles Squad robe. I know I'm not the Silver Eagles Captain anymore, but I'm sure my eldest son Nozel, who is now the Captain of the Silver Eagles, will accept you into the squad." Liebe took the Magic Knight squad robe and examined it for a few seconds before putting it on.

"Well, how do I look in it?" Liebe asked.

"Like a real Magic Knight!" Asta grinned. Acier giggled in agreement before turning to face Ren.

"What do you think Ren dear?" Acier asked the Elysia Elf Tribe Leader. "Does the Silver Eagles squad robe look good on Liebe?"

"It suits him. Feathers and all." Ren hummed.

"Huh?" Liebe looked down and took notice of the feathers on the robe. "Oh. Now I see. Kek kek. I suppose the feathers are fine."

"That's good." Julius nodded. "Asta, I take it you'll lead Liebe back to House Silva?"

"Sure can!" Asta grinned. "I'll even tell Courtney not to come pick us up. Besides, House Silva isn't that far from Clover Castle anyway." Grabs Liebe's right wrist like how Licita did and runs off. "Come on Liebe!"

"Ugh! Slow down you loudmouth!" Liebe complained. Soon thereafter, the 2 were gone.

"Well someone is enjoying having a brother already." Ren remarked, amused. Both Acier and Julius laughed lightly.

"Yes he is." Acier agreed.

"Indeed." Julius remarked before looking down at the blood samples in the small test tubes on the table next to him. He picked up them before walking towards the door. "I'm going to examine these later. Just to see if I can figure something out regarding why Asta ended up with no mana." He then left. Once he did, only Ren and Acier remained in the basement that looked like a mini library. After a few minutes of silence, Ren decided to break the ice.

"Are you really sure about this though?" Ren asked, arms crossed. "The citizens will react upon seeing a live devil."

"I know." Acier replied, frowning slightly. "But changes have to be made to this Kingdom one way or another. I have to get people to move forward from there fear of Devils. Not all Devils are evil, selfish, or anything of that sort. Liebe proved this to me 16 years ago." Her lips formed a light smile. "But then again, I already knew he wasn't evil."

"I suppose." Ren sighed. "Hopefully it won't cause a major uproar."

"I know I'm taking a risk, but I know it'll be worth it in the end." Acier replied. "If not, then you're right. Things will go south really quickly." She strided towards the door She was about to go through, but turned slightly to face Ren. "But we can worry about it when the Star Award Festival happens. For now, let's get you changed out of that dress, hmm? It is to be wore for the Star Awards Festival, after all.~"

"You're enjoying this." Ren deadpanned under her hood. Acier just giggled as the 2 walked up the stairs.

"Someone has to Ren dear.~" Acier smiled. "Might as well be me.~" Fay popped his head out of Ren's hand.

"And that is why you are a gem, Acier." Fay grinned.

"I know I am." Acier laughed. Ren only groaned as she followed Acier back upstairs.

One and half week later...

"Ugh. My stomach is in knots."

"Suck it up Ren. This is what we're doing now." Ren glared at her spirit under her hood as she followed Asta and Noelle in the middle of the Star Festival. People around them were enjoying the festivities and food, along with drinks. Young children running and laughing as they go.

"I still can't believe I let Acier talk me into wearing this dress." Ren muttered, smoothing the dress under her cloak.

"Well, you are a guest here." Noelle huffed. "So I guess that's why Mother wanted you to look extra fancy. I honestly don't know." Her frown turned into a light smile. "Still, better you're with me and Asta than with others. Least that's what I believe. What do you think, Asta?" She looked at Asta, only to see him eying all the food stands. She groaned and grabbed his ear with her free hand, the other on top of her stomach lightly. "Asta!"

"Mmm… So much-Owowow!" Asta whined, turning to face Noelle. "H-Huh? Oh! Yeah! It's great that Ren is with us!" Noelle let go of his ear and huffed again.

"Even though you don't know what I look like or the dress." Ren hummed, amused.

"True." Noelle agreed. "But we have heard a lot about you. So again, Mother picked you to come with me and Asta while during the Star Awards Festival. For what reason? It's Mother."

"Very true." Ren chuckled.

"So, what do you want to do, or go where first, Ren?" Noelle asked.

"Why not one of the food stalls?" Asta suggested.

"Sure. I could eat. Plus I don't want you drooling down the road." Ren said with a hidden smirk, making Fay snicker. Asta just gaped in mock offense.

"Say whaaat?!" Asta groaned out.

"Ren is not wrong Asta." Noelle deadpanned.

"Oh! If it isn't Asta and Noelle! Hey!" Asta and Noelle turned to see who had called their names. It was a woman with medium length black hair, and wore green clothes and short boots. Over the green turtleneck shirt was the Amber Phoenix Squad Robe. A few more Amber Phoenix Squad members Asta and Noelle recognized stood near the first woman.

"Dazu, I'm not that hungry." The mineral-haired mage spoke. Dazu glanced at him and scoffed.

"Oh come now Marsy. I want you and the Captain to become a thing!" Dazu told her Vice Captain. Mars just pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed in defeat.

"No time for it." Mars replied. That got Dazu to cross her arms, while the other 3 with the 2 just either rolled there eyes or snickered.

"Uh-huh. Suuuurrrrrreeee you don't." Dazu replied before turning to face the other 3. "Tell me that's just nonsense, right?"

"Wait, hold on!" Asta spoke up, getting the 4 turned to face him, Noelle, and Ren. "Elf Fana, Dazu, Mars, Valeria, and Alice?! How did you find us?!" The pinkette elf, wearing a white dress and sandals, as well as the Amber Phoenix Squad Robe pointed at Noelle, then Ren.

"Those 2 have such a huge mana signature." Elf Fana replied. So naturally, we decided to check it out while the Captain went with the other Captains of the Magic Knight Squads. Probably preparing some huge announcement later in the evening." Ren looked at Elf Fana, truly sensing her mana that held an old familiarity to her, before looking at Valeria.

"It is nice to see you're doing well, Valeria." She said. The one-eyed blondette, Valeria, glanced over at Ren and nodded.

"I could say the same for you, Ren." Valeria replied. "After all, it's been...6 or so months since we last saw each other? Perhaps longer?"

"I would say so, yes. Seems you're fitting well within Clover." Ren replied. "I'm sure Lolopechka would be happy to hear it." Valeria twitched utmost slightly and awkwardly chuckled. Asta and Noelle glanced at each other, then back at the Amber Phoenix Squad members in front of them, slight frowns on there faces.

"Eheh. Yeah… I haven't spoken with Lolopechka since I resigned as a Spirit Guardian." Valeria admitted. "I've been meaning to, but because I joined the Amber Phoenix, I've been busy. So it just went to the back of mind."

"Well I'll send a little birdie her way for you." Ren assured gently.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but I should do it myself." Valeria remarked. "I'll try to remember to do so after the Festival." She glanced at the golden-brunette, who had glasses on. "Alice, think you can remind me?"

"Sure Valeria." Alice replied. "But for now, let's just enjoy the festivities." Asta looked around, as if looking for someone.

"Hey, do you guys know where Friede is?" Asta asked.

"I believe she's with Mariella, Fanzell and Dominate." Alice remarked. "You know, for some weapon training in. Even though this is a festival for everyone to enjoy. Or so I've been told." Ren watched them talk as Fay sat on her shoulder as she looked around for a moment.

"Anyway, now that we're here, let's enjoy some fun!" Dazu grinned. "Mind if we stick with you guys? Who knows. We may come across some of your Silver Eagle squadmates along the way."

"More like come across my brother Solid so you can watch Valeria kick his butt. Again." Noelle stated. Dazu and Alice snickered, while Valeria crossed her arms.

"Well, he deserves it for his arrogance." Valeria huffed. "And as long as he has that arrogant attitude, I'll pound him into the ground over and over until the message is gotten across." Just as she said that, they heard a familiar arrogant voice.

"Why did Mother insist on having me participate in this waste of a time festival?!" Solid snarled out. "It's blatantly obvious which Magic Knight Squad got the most Stars this year! Ours! Those at the top should be able to do whatever they desire!" Nebra, who was next to Solid, just groaned.

"She wanted you out with the rest of the Magic Knights because otherwise you just sit at home and be lazy on this day." Nebra retorted. Nebra was the first to notice Asta, Noelle, Ren, Dazu, Alice, Valeria, Mars, and Elf Fana. She noticed the angry tick marks above Valeria and Elf Fana's heads. She also noticed the 2 women got out there grimoires slowly. So naturally, she slowly sidestepped out of the way. Unbeknownst to Solid, due to his own rambling and ranting on, he didn't take notice of what Elf Fana and Valeria were doing.

"Still! This is just pathetic!" Solid scowled. "The only other squad worth its time as Number 1 or 2 is the Golden Dawn!" He laughs. "But because of what befell Mimosa and Yuno, the chances of the Golden Dawn being Number 1 this year are low!"

"Earth Binding Magic: Binding Lock!"

"Flame Magic: Phoenix Feather Shot!"

"Huh? Whaaa…?" Several earth hands rose out of the ground and grabbed Solid. Followed up by several small flaming phoenix feathers to strike him multiple times. "Owowowow!" He soon realized who attacked and bound him and he snarled in anger. "You 2! How dare you assault a Royal!"

"He sure isn't smart." Fay muttered, Ren only sighed. Noelle sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Honestly Solid…" Noelle groaned loudly. "Can you just...not act like a moron? At all? You're just an embarrassment to the Silva Family. Why do I say that? You act so high and mighty every chance you get. I don't understand why you insist on doing so. Every. Fucking. Day. All you're asking for is Valeria and Elf Fana to kick your ass into the ground."

"I suggest not asking for the impossible Noelle, Not even a god could fix his brain. If he even has one that is." Ren replied loftly. Elf Fana snickered at Ren's remark while Noelle huffed and grabbed Asta's hand.

"Yeah, you're right." Noelle replied. "But still. Anyway, let's go play some minigames or something." She glanced at Nebra, then at Elf Fana and Valeria. "Do whatever you need to do to him. Just don't kill him."

"I would say "I don't make any promises", but I actually want to keep my new job." Valeria replied.

"Just enjoy yourselves at least." Ren yawned. "Hmm let's see what to eat."

"Right." Alice nodded, looking around. "Any food stands that interest you guys? This is my first time here."

"I'll lead those interested in food." Noelle spoke. "I know where the food stands are. And maybe we could do some of those arcade games here while we're at it."

"Sounds like a plan." Ren replied, tucking her hands in her cloak sleeves.

"Great." Noelle smiled, glancing at her elder sister for a few seconds, then turned her attention back to the others. "Alright. Let's go."

"Right behind you." Ren said. After walking for a few minutes, the three soon reached a food stand aisle.

"So much food here!" Asta grinned.

"Yes there is." Noelle nodded before looking around. "Where do you think Liebe is, Asta?"

"I dunno." Asta remarked. "But if we come across him, he can join us as we explore the festival. Besides, if I'm right, the festival changes a bit each year, too."

"How so?" Ren asked.

"New stands open up." Noelle answered. "Though it's not a lot, you slowly see the change each year."

"Enough talk! Let's eat!" Asta remarked, grinning like a moron.

"Best we do. Otherwise he'll be begging like a pup." Ren whispered to Noelle.

"Oh, tell me about it." Noelle laughed lightly. "He did this whenever Mother said that dinner was ready, and I wasn't. Obviously Asta waited for me, but I knew he didn't want to and would rather eat what Mother made for us."

"Well he does have a big appetite." Ren chuckled, amused.

"That he does." Noelle chuckled as she and Ren approached one of the food stands.

"I'll take one of everything!" Asta told the person behind the counter of the food stand.

"And he means it." Ren smirked.

"Yes he does." Noelle laughed as she watched Asta carry the food he received in return. She frowned slightly when she took notice of Asta struggling to hold everything. She approached him and took some of the food from him. "Need help, Asta?" Asta was about to reply, but Noelle continued. "Don't answer that. Yes you do need help."

"Oh no you don't. I rather not have an expecting mother carry all that food." Ren replied simply. She elegantly took all the food laying it out on a nearby table and dust off her hands.

"Now sit and eat." She said.

"Right." Asta replied. Noelle gave Ren a pouty/grouchy expression as she sat down at the table.

"I can carry food if I want to." Noelle retorted.

"Not in the amount your husband eats." Ren teased. Noelle groaned loudly in response.

"Yes yes, I know." Noelle lightly snapped. "Especially now." Asta began to devour the food on one of the plates he put his helping on. Noelle glanced at Asta and scoffed. "Slow down Asta! Geez!"

"Dive!" Fay announced, diving head first in the food.

"Not gonna bother stopping him." Ren stated, taking a plate.

"Nomnomnom!" Was all Noelle and Ren could hear from Asta as he continued to eat. Noelle put some food onto her plate and took a bite. She groaned at Asta's antics.

"Oh for the love of….! Can you chew quietly please?!" Noelle snapped at Asta. Ren chuckled as she ate, sipping her drink.

"Yami, would you stop looking so smug?"

"What are you talking about Prickly Queen? I'm always like this."

"The smirk says otherwise!" They 4 blinked and looked up to see Yami, who was indeed smirking, his arm, to their shock, was around Charlotte's waist, who was blushing pink.

"Captain Charlotte?" Noelle asked. "Why are you with Captain Yami?"

"Haha! You can thank the Diamond Queen for this!" Yami grinned. "Though Acid Queen forced me and Charlotte to start dating before she'd allow us to leave. But I think it's a small price to pay. Right Prickly Queen?"

"Well…. I do not mind." Charlotte began.

"Wait a minute. You're telling me 2 queens got you set up?" Ren questioned. "Great. Now I should be scared of 2 women."

"What do you mean Miss Hoodie?" Yami questioned, ignoring the look Noelle was giving him at how he spoke towards Ren. "What, you think our Queenie Silva is going to set you up with someone or something? I don't think Queenie Whomalt is going to do that to you. You're here, and she's in Diamond."

"With her luck, you never know. Besides, she needs a man." Fay smirked.

"Fay!" Ren hissed.

"What? Miss Hoodie's a loner?" Yami questioned as he and Charlotte each took a free seat at the table; sitting next to one another.

"More like she is so oblivious to her looks, she wouldn't notice men fawning over her." Fay replied.

"They do not." Ren snapped.

"Are you sure about that?" Charlotte questioned, sensing the mana of other men in the area.

"It's not like anyone here knows what I look like thanks to my cloak." Ren scoffed.

"Which is why I want Acier to hurry up and introduce you. I wanna hear gasps and someone shouting "Goddess!"" Fay declared.

"Oi!" Ren sighed, shaking her head.

"YouknowyoudontneedtowearyourhoodrightRen?" Asta spoke through chewing food.

"I just prefer it on." Ren stated simply.

"What? You afraid we'll attack you or something?" Yami questioned.

"Shut up Fay." Ren said to her snickering spirit. "I just prefer the hood. Simple as that." Yami shrugged as he grabbed a chicken leg from the plate in the center of the table and took a bite of it.

"WhateveryousayMissHoodie." He remarked.

"Ok that aside, you 2 are really seriously dating?" Noelle asked the 2 Captains.

"We are." Charlotte answered, despite her facial color becoming a light shade of pink again.

"Well, congratulations are in order." Ren replied.

"Yeah." Noelle smiled. "Although to be fair, this was long overdue." Charlotte's facial color became a darker shade of red.

"N-Noelle Silva!" Charlotte stammered. Noelle just snickered as Charlotte recomposed herself, though her face was still dark red.

"How long?" Fay asked.

"About 2 weeks." Charlotte answered.

"No, I mean how long overdue are we talking about." Fay corrected. Charlotte felt her face heat up while Noelle went to answer.

"Technically 8 years." Noelle replied, causing the Blue Rose Knight's Captain's face to become even more darker red, if that was even possible. "But really, 5 or so years."

"Oh my." Ren giggled.

"I can't believe this…" Charlotte groaned. "I guess I better get used to it."

"It won't be so bad." Ren hummed.

"That's what I've been saying." Yami remarked before taking notice of Asta and Noelle. "Especially considering how those 2 are doing with their relationship. I mean heck, the youngest Silva child is pregnant already." He paused, then added. "Though I guess considering how obvious her feelings for the magicless boy are, no one is really surprised by it."

"Anyway!" Charlotte coughed. "How come you 2 have...umm…" She points at Ren, who has her hood up. "How come you have her with you?"

"They're showing me around until Acier needs me." Ren replied, eating the meat on her kabob.

"Oh. That's good." Charlotte spoke.

"I think Julius and Queenie Silva need to be both ready before needing us Captains up on the stage." Yami remarked, taking another bite out of the chicken leg. "Which ultimately means you too, Miss Hoodie."

"Oh joy." Ren sweatdropped.

"It won't be that bad Ren." Noelle told her.

"I'm just not used to being center stage." Ren sighed. Asta continued to eat, while Noelle hummed in response.

"No one ever is used to it, Miss Hoodie." Yami remarked.

"Speaking of center stage." Charlotte began. "I think we're needed on stage." She turned to see Captain Fana approaching them.

"H-Hey." Captain Fana spoke. "Queen Acier asked if I could get Captains Yami and Charlotte, along with Ren. The main event is starting soon." She paused, then pulled out 2 tiny boxes from her pocket and put them on the table, her facial color becoming red. "A-And, she asked if I could g-give these to Asta and Noelle, too."

"Oh those must be the rings." Ren remarked.

"Rings?" Yami repeated before snickering. "Oh. Ha! I see what's going on."

"Do you?" Charlotte raised an eyebrow slightly.

"The rings?" Noelle questioned before realizing what was going on. Her face became dark red. "O-Oh. W-Well then. Mother sure knows how to be subtle about this." She opened both boxes to see what the ring designs were. The rings were silver bands, one with a sword engraved with the other water currents. Asta stopped eating for a moment and examined them. He picked up the sword engraved one and examined it more closely.

"Hey, I think I recognize the design." Asta remarked, turning to face Ren. "Isn't this the same design as your grandparents's ones?"

"Ok 1. How do you know that? And 2. It's a custom, yes. The sword is a symbol of your magic. While water currents are for Noelle's magic." Ren explained.

"Cool!" Asta grinned as he put it on his ring finger. "As for how I knew, let's just say Queen Acier told me and Noelle a bit about it."

"Regardless, they're beautiful." Noelle smiled lightly, putting the water designed one on her ring finger. Charlotte's face heated up at the sight, realizing that what just happened in front of her could happen for her and Yami too.

I better hope Queen Acier doesn't try this with me and Yami! At least, not yet! The Blue Rose Knight's Captain thought frantically. Ren looked at the rings closely.

"Metal… Looks like Acier made these with her magic." She remarked.

"Yeah she did." Yami confirmed. "Shows how crafty she is." He glanced back over at the nervous wreck known as Captain Fana. "You're still here? Oh, okay. Guess we better leave for the stage now."

"I suppose so." Ren agreed, standing. "Let's go Fay."

"Coming." Fay replied, flying to sit on her shoulder. Charlotte and Yami got up from their chairs soon thereafter and began to follow the nervous wreck, and somewhat embarrassed, Captain Fana back to the stage. Asta and Noelle waved to the 4 as they left the table. After a few minutes, the 2 turned to face one another.

"So… I guess that means we're married now?" Asta questioned, chuckling a bit.

"I suppose it does." Noelle laughed lightly. "But again, I don't think anyone is that surprised by it. Anyway, we should probably head up there, too. Nozel probably needs us up there with him and the rest of the SIlver Eagles Squad behind the stage."

"Right." Asta nodded, getting out of his chair and going over to Noelle to help her out of hers. Though she complained a bit, she ultimately didn't mind. Besides, he was carrying her bridal style. Though they did get some stares from the other Clover citizens, neither paid them any attention.

"Citizens of Clover! We are grateful for your appearance here today." Julius announced on the stage alongside Acier. The Magic Knight Captains behind them as the citizens stopped to listen to the Wizard King and Queen of their kingdom.

"As you know, the Star Festival is meant to celebrate the accomplishments of the Magic Knights who have done so much for our Kingdom." Julius said.

"But it also means much more." Acier spoke. "For this festival is a union. A union to many other people of neighboring kingdoms, even other species. Such as dwarves, elves, and many more." Ren stood at the back, clutching her hand tightly, feeling it shake as she swallowed nervously as Acier continued.

"Julius and I wish to change this kingdom for the better. To bring equality and unity to not just all humans, but to everyone who comes to our kingdom." Acier continued, turning with a gentle smile. "And our guest today is our first step towards that future." Ren took a deep breath, glancing at Fay, who gave her an encouraging nod before she walked up onto the stage. Walking past the Captains to stand between Julius and Acier. "Our guest is from Elysia that borders the Heart Kingdom. Give our guest, Ren, a warm welcome!" Ren took a deep breath before removing her red and black cloak and everyone gasped, stunned by her appearance. Fay flying next to her with a grin as she held her cloak in her arms while giving a graceful bow to the audience.

"I am Ren Ombra, leader of the Elysia Tribe. Please treat me well." She greeted with a soft smile. While the Captains, along with Julius and Acier gave pleasant nods or smiles, the crowd of Clover citizens began muttering amongst themselves.

"An elf?" A man muttered. "Weren't they the ones that threatened us 5 centuries ago?" Acier inwardly twitched at that remark.

I suppose a bit more change is in order. Acier thought. I do have my entire lifetime to do so.

"They have powerful magic." A noblewoman remarked quietly. "If they wanted to, they could obliterate us in a split second."

"If that's true, why isn't she doing anything?" A young noble girl asked. "I mean...if she's as dangerous as we've been led to believe, then our Clover Queen wouldn't be friends with her, right? Perhap… Perhaps Clover's history was just manipulated by House Kira after all…"

Well this is going well as expected. Ren thought with an inward grimace, giving an elegant smile.

"My tribe Elysia is a tribe of elves, yes. But it's not just elves, but humans as well. For centuries the tribe leader has shared a kinship with the Queen of Hearts of each generation. As such, we have also accepted humans within our tribe and that union birthed hybrids of elf and human." She explained. "As the current leader of the tribe, I hoped to spread this kinship to the other kingdoms and their rulers to solidify the connection between elves and humans. Queen Acier Silva Clover and Wizard King Julius Novachrono share this dream with me and invited me to your festival as a guest and ambassador of my tribe. I believe that humans and elves can indeed form a future together, along with many other species. Because at the end of the day, whether you are human, elf, dwarf, even a devil, angel, or demon, we are alive and are one in the same. We all can see, feel, hear, and touch the very same things. Though our appearances may vary, our hearts, our souls are the same as any being." The citizens stood shocked and awed by Ren's words. Even the Captains were mildly surprised before a lone person clapped and soon others followed and the entire crowd before them clapped and cheered, making Ren inwardly sigh in relief. Acier placed her left hand on Ren's shoulder; a light smile on her face.

"That speech was excellent, Ren." Acier told her.

"I never meant for it to be a speech. Just being honest." Ren admitted with a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Unintended or not, it was excellent." Acier smiled. She looked back up. "Now then! Julius, if you would! The Star Points of each Magic Knight Squad!"

"Of course!" Julius remarked. "In 1st place, we have the Silver Eagles with 130 stars!" The Silver Eagles Squad symbol appeared behind Julius, showing the number of stars earned underneath it.

"As expected." Nozel remarked. William glanced over at Nozel, then back at the audience.

If Yuno and Mimosa didn't end up the way they are, then my squad would be in first place. William thought. ...I'll apologize to them later.

"In 2nd place, we have the Golden Dawn with 123 stars!" Julius continued.

Golden Dawn… Wait, that squad. Ren thought.

"In 3rd place, we have the Crimson Lions at 100 stars!" Julius continued. Mereoleona grinned.

"Excellent! So even with Fuegoleon down, his squad didn't start falling behind." Mereoleona remarked. Julius waved his hand so the next Squad's insignia appeared above him.

"In 4th place, we have the Amber Phoenix at 96 stars!" This got the majority of the Amber Phoenix Squad to gape in surprise. Even Captain Fana was surprised.

"E-Ehhh?!" Captain Fana gaped. "B-But how? The Amber Phoenix Squad is still new to the Clover Kingdom."

"True." Alice spoke from behind their side of the stage. "But it's all thanks to all of our hard work for getting this rank."

"Yes." Lily nodded, smiling lightly.

"But we earned 4th place." Friede remarked. Mars only nodded in agreement. Valeria hummed in agreement with Friede.

"In 5th place, we have the Blue Rose Knights with 88 stars!" Julius spoke.

"Not bad of a place this year." Charlotte remarked.

"In 6th place, we have the Black Bulls with 75 stars!"

"Kek kek! How'd you manage that Yami?" Jack grinned.

"Ha! In your face!" Yami smirked. Rill internally cried.

"Aw man!" Rill groaned. "I'm probably in last! Nuuuu!" Jack just chuckled at Rill's complaints, while Dorothy continued to sleep.

"Considering you just do pictures all day, that's on you." Yami told the youngest Magic Knight Captain. Acier stepped forward.

"I'll announce the last 4." Acier spoke up. "In 7th place, we have the Green Mantis with 69 stars. In 8th place, we have the Coral Peacocks with 67 stars. In 9th place, we have the Purple Orcas with 51 stars. And in last place, we have the Aqua Deer with 49 stars." She spread her arms out, a smile on her face. "And with that, the Star Awards Festival has concluded! So please enjoy the festivities!"

"Aaah! I was last!" Rill groaned.

"Told ya." Yami told him.

"Well I can't help it if inspiration comes to me!" Rill said, motioning to Ren. "Just like her!"

"Eh?" Ren blinked, surprised.

"I mean can you really disagree with me about this goddess?" Rill questioned.

"Thank you!" Fay yelled.

"Fay!" Ren hissed. Acier, Julius, Mereoleona, and Nozel chuckled.

"He's not wrong, you know." Charlotte remarked.

"I am not pretty enough to be considered a goddess." Ren deadpanned.

"How can you not be?!" Rill gasped. "Silky blue hair in different tones, bright emerald green eyes, alabaster skin. You must have tons of sutors!"

"Er I don't." Ren blinked, backing up slightly.

"Oh?" Mereoleona questioned. "I'm surprised you don't. Oh well. Not really my place, nor do I care for such things. Still, I have to agree with the pipsqueak of a Captain."

"Really he's exaggerating." Ren awkwardly chuckled. Nozel, Acier, and Charlotte gave Ren a deadpanned look.

"...You're kidding, right?" Charlotte remarked.

"You may want to look down in the crowd, Ren dear." Acier recomposed herself and began to stifle her laughter. "Yuno dear certainly agrees with us.~" She glanced over at William's side of the stage, noticing the gaping expression Yuno had on.

"Eh?" Ren blinked, looking and meeped by the awed stares of some of the citizens. Some of the nobles, both women and men, had jealous, and/or embarrassed facial expressions.

"Hey, Yuno." Letoile spoke to him. "Yuno?" She waved her hand in front of his face, but he didn't respond. "Nothing."

"Perhaps he has been put into a trance due to Ren's sheer beauty?" Mimosa suggested.

"Highly likely." Klaus agreed as he adjusted his glasses. Ren couldn't help but sputter by their words, shocked.

"Sheer beauty?! Excuse me?!" She yelped.

"Oh my poor oblivious master." Fay snickered.

"Ok, I do not need your input Fay." Ren scowled, turning to fully face the 4 Golden Dawn members. "And I am not-!" Ren stopped herself upon seeing Yuno, making her blink, speechless.

"Oh…" She muttered. Ren walked forward, surprising them until she stood in front of Yuno carefully reaching up to gently stroke his cheek. Yuno winced upon the touch.

"That's…" Yuno spoke softly. "The cheek that has the Devil Markings…"

"I know." Ren assured softly, giving a gentle sweet smile at Yuno. "It's ok."

"...What do you mean?" Yuno frowned.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of." Ren stated gently, making Yuno stiffen in shock. "You are here, you are alive, you are yourself." Yuno gasped softly as Ren smiled and laid her forehead on his. Klaus's glasses went askew out of surprise, Letoile gaped, and Mimosa cooed.

"So adorable.~" Mimosa smiled.

"Oh! Good." Acier spoke as she approached the 4 Golden Dawns and took notice of Ren giving some affection to Yuno. She smiled lightly at the scene before continuing. "Ren, you're going to take Mimosa and Yuno for a few days." She turned to William. "Is that okay?"

"It is, yes." William nodded. "I want them to get better from...wherever they had gone for several hours during the mission I sent them on with Klaus and Letoile."

"Of course." Ren spoke gently, stroking Yuno's cheek.

"Ehh? Me too?" Mimosa asked in surprise. "I understand why Yuno needs to go with Ren because of him not having a grimoire, along with being forced into a contract with a Devil and all that, but why me too?"

"Well I wouldn't mind getting to know another one of my 'cousins'." Ren said with a sweet smile. Acier chuckled, while Yuno looked at Mimosa, who gaped.

"E-Eh?!" Mimosa stammered out in surprise. Ren smiled letting Yuno go and elegantly curtsied to her, along with the rest of the Captains.

"My full name is Ren Silvamillion Clover Ombra. I am the granddaughter of Clover Elf Tribe Leader Licht and Tetia Silvamillion Clover, sister to the First Wizard King, Lumiere Silvamillion Clover." She explained formally. Some of the Captains looked at each other in surprise, while Acier, Julius, Nozel, along with Asta and Noelle (who were at the Silver Eagle side of the stage, smiled. Charlotte looked surprised while Yami snickered.

"I knew something was off about you." Yami remarked. "In a good way, of course. Your ki and mana are shooting through the roof."

"But then that would mean you yourself are…!" Charlotte began.

"A hybrid, yes." Ren smiled with a nod. "My mother, Tetia and Licht's daughter, was a hybrid of human and elf while my father was a pure blooded elf. As a result of their union, I was born a human- elf hybrid."

"How come you never said it before?" Kaiser asked curiously.

"To be honest, I don't really give it much thought. Because of my mana many people always assumed I was a full blooded elf. So I never bothered correcting them." Ren smiled sheepishly.

"So then… Licht and Lumiere's dream…!" Elf Fana came forward from behind her human counterpart and Captain. Tears trickled down her face. "I know Queen Acier already told me but…..!"

"Yes I can understand the shock." Ren said with a sad and gentle smile. "When the attack of the tribe occured, my grandmother was the only survivor. Albeit heavily injured, by a miracle she was able to escape and reach Elysia where she gave birth. Sadly because of her injuries, my uncle, my mother's brother, died in her womb. Of course she had no idea until the birth…" Elf Fana couldn't help but go to Ren and hug her.

"I'm just happy that Licht and Lumiere's dream came true…!" Elf Fana cried softly. She let go of Ren and wiped her eyes. "I….I remember my time as part of the Midnight Sun a bit." She paused, realizing the Captains, Wizard King, Clover, Queen, and others were around. "I'll tell you a bit later."

"Actually, elf me." Captain Fana spoke up, turning to Ren. "If it's not too much trouble, would you be alright with my elf counterpart coming with you, Mimosa, and Yuno? I think she wants to tell you what she knows. Both past and present."

"Of course. I don't mind at all." Ren nodded with a smile.

"Great!" Captain Fana smiled. Elf Fana wanted to complain, feeling she wasn't ready for a talk with her friend's granddaughter, but sighed in defeat.

I might as well take this opportunity. Elf Fana thought. Who knows if this opportunity will ever come up again.

"Alright. I'll go, Captain." Elf Fana remarked.

"Then it's settled." Ren smiled cheerfully. "But for right now, let's enjoy ourselves in the festival, shall we?"

"Fine with me! But no more shadow cloak. I want these people to gasp in awe at my gorgeous master." Fay grinned.

"Do I have to lock you up in the grimoire again?" Ren deadpanned. "I am not gorgeous. If anything I'm average." Acier giggled as she pulled the cloak off of Ren.

"Yeah? Hey everyone! Look at how beautiful Ren is!~" Acier giggled, tossing the cloak into the air.

"Hey come on! That cloak was a gift!" Ren groaned. "Seraph Wings!" With a bright light, her angelic wings appeared for her to fly and grab back her cloak. making her sigh in relief before she blinked and looked to see everyone gaping at her.

"And no Ren dear! You can't put the cloak back on!~" Acier giggled. If the jawline could extend even farther than it normally can, then the men's mouths would be touching the ground. (Minus a select few. Yami, Asta, and Nozel, to name a few.)

"I… I might be digging my own grave, aren't I?" Ren gulped, glancing at the gaping men.

"Oh yeah suck it, boys! That's my master! The crown jewel of Elysia!" Fay bragged. Yuno grabbed Ren's right hand's wrist with his own.

"...No, she's mine! They can't have her!" Yuno bursted out, not realizing what he said until after the fact. He noticed several dirty glares from the other men in the audience, and even some on stage. He glanced around, then added. "What?"

"...Eh?!" Ren squeaked, red face.

"Well that was fast." Fay remarked.

"Oooh la la!~" Bell snickered.

"Damn Yuno…" Asta muttered, holding in his snickering.

"His claiminatin of Ren was adorable." Noelle laughed. "I guess even when it's not aiming for Wizard King, he turns even getting a girlfriend into a competition. Though if so…" She laughed again before continuing. "He's already behind you by a lot, Asta."

"Don't encourage it…!" Ren hissed to Noelle. Noelle stuck her tongue out at Ren in a playful manner.

"Too late!~" Noelle grinned.

"Oh ho!" Mereoleona snickered. "Interesting! I'm not much of a matchmaking person, but I have to say, you and that wind boy go so well together!"

"Wait what?!" Ren shrieked, blushing red.

"It's true Ren dear.~" Acier smiled, pushing her and Yuno forward lightly. "Now, go out there with Yuno and enjoy yourselves in the festival!~"

"Oh gods! You planned this! You planned all this!" Ren accused with a shriek.

"You realize this now? This is Acier Silva Clover, the queen of matchmaking. This was bound to happen!" Fay stated. "And I love it! I mean, you're 109! This was overdue!"

"100 and what?!" Everyone, minus Acier and Julius, gaped.

"110 in a few months." Ren shrugged.

"Don't screw with us! You don't even look that old!" Jack exclaimed. The other Captains looked at Jack, then back at Ren, then back at Jack, then back at Ren.

"An elf looking in their 30s can well be over 300, little string bean." Ren sighed.

"Haha! She called you String Bean!" Yami laughed while pointing at Jack. Jack smirked at Yami.

"You wanna go, Yami?" Jack grinned. "Because I want to!" Yami scowled at Jack's words and excitement to spar Yami.

"Not at the festival, dumbass! Too many people around!" Yami told the sadistic Green Mantis Captain.

"Huh. If you're sassing people have calmed down." Fay snickered at Ren.

"Hardly." Ren scowled. "Anyway Yuno, Mimosa, come on. Let's check out some of the festivities. I haven't had the chance to do it."

"S-Sure!" Mimosa spoke.

"...Alright." Yuno spoke. With that the 3 walked off as Fay flew to Acier.

"How long till you think she caves?" Fay asked Acier as they watched Ren, Yuno and Mimosa get off the stage. Acier put a finger to her chin.

"Hmm... . I'd say 10 minutes at minimum." Acier answered.

"How much at maximum?" He questioned.

"90 minutes." Acier commented.

"Queen Acier. even I don't think it will happen that fast." Charlotte sweatdropped. Acier turned to Charlotte, a light smile on her face.

"Oh? How long do you think it'll take at maximum time, Captain Charlotte?" Acier asked the beautiful blondette Captain of the Blue Rose Knights.

"Half a year maybe? They hardly know each other." Charlotte replied.

"I agree with Captain Charlotte, Mother." Nozel told her. "I know you're the queen of matchmaking, but your betting on the timing is ridiculous."

"Oh come on now Nozel dear! It's not that bad!" Acier retorted.

"It...actually is, Mother…" Nozel pinched the bridge of his nose. Nebra, Noelle, and Asta all nod in agreement. This caused Acier to pout just a bit.

"Then why not a challenge?" Fay grinned. Both Charlotte and Acier turned to face Fay, curious by what he meant.

"Oh? A challenge, hmm?" Acier asked.

"A bet you will. Heck, even all the Captains can join in on to see how long it will take for those 2 to get together." Fay explained.

"I'm going with Charlotte's bet of 6 months then." Yami remarked, grinning lightly.

"..." Dorothy snored, not giving an answer.

"I accept this bet." Acier grinned. "Though Nozel and Captain Charlotte are right. 90 minutes is ludicrous. So with that, I bet 5 and half months."

"Then it's decided. And hopefully it's soon. Cause again, this is overdue for Ren." Fay sighed.

"I can't believe you, Acier! I just can't believe you! You minx!"

"You'll thank me for this on your wedding day~"

"Wedding?!" The 2 were in Acier's Clover Castle throne room-like office, in a playful argument about what happened at the Star Awards Festival earlier in the evening.

"Oh yes!~" Acier giggled, putting papers away from her work earlier in the day.

"I just met this boy, Acier." Ren groaned. "And I'm here to help him, not date him."

"But you can help him and date him, Ren dear!~" Acier smiled.

"You're insane." Ren stated, running her fingers through her hair. "What possessed you to come up with this scheme?"

"I used my matchmaking idea of Asta and Noelle as a base." Acier replied. "Besides, I knew Yuno dear would be aiming to get a girlfriend sooner or later. So I might as well help him out a bit."

"But why a 109 year old elf hybrid?" Ren deadpanned.

"Why? Because why not!~" Acier giggled again, finishing up putting away the paperwork Marx gave her due to Julius leaving the Clover Kingdom to find unique magic attributes way more often than Marx would like.

"Acier be serious here." Ren frowned, clutching her cloak. "I've never been courted, let alone dating. I don't know a thing about relationships."

"Then it's a good thing I, along with a few others, like Dazu Tayaku from Amber Phoenix, will be helping for example." Acier grinned. "It'll be great!"

"Great to help a granny like myself on dating. Oh joy." Ren facepalmed.

"It'll probably start after a couple things." Acier told her. "For one, your trip with Elf Fana, Yuno, and Mimosa to wherever. And two, Mereoleona plans to bring a few Magic Knights from different squads to the Fire Grand Magic Zone for training. Most likely in case the Eye of the Midnight Sun attacks the Clover Kingdom again."

"And let me guess, she'll be dragging me to join?" Ren asked.

"That all depends on when you leave for your trip with Yuno, Mimosa, and Elf Fana." Acier told her. "And it also depends on when Mereoleona decides to do her thing. Speaking of which, I could call Mereoleona right now and ask her when she plans to do it." She paused for a few seconds, then nodded. "Yeah, I will." She moved her hand towards her communicator device to call her Mereoleona with said communication device when suddenly, her communication device starting blipping rapidly.

"Hmm? Who could be calling at this hour?" Acier wondered aloud. "I know I was going to call Mereoleona, but that's because she's usually up at this time."

"Maybe it's Asta or Noelle?" Ren suggested.

"Maybe." Acier agreed, pressing the button to answer. But to both the Queen of Clover and the Elysia Elf Tribe Leader's surprise, it was neither. Instead, it was the face of Evanora Chandler-Whomalt, new Queen of the Diamond Kingdom. "Evanora…?!"

"Oh good. I got through." Evanora spoke. "Please call for an emergency summit of the Kingdoms. I believe it to be necessary." Acier's facial expression became filled with instant concern, as did Ren's.

"I'll contact Lolopechka first thing in the morning." Acier told Evanora. Evanora's lips formed a smile.

"Thank you Queen Acier." Evanora remarked. "When you do, tell her that this emergency summit should be in the Heart Kingdom."

0713MM: Wowie! This chapter is a doozy! And by that, I mean *really* long! XD A LOT is covered in the chapter! For one, Liebe is freed from the 5 Leaf Clover Grimoire thanks to Julius and Asta and into human world after 16 years of being trapped in it thanks to Licita, Asta's Mother. But the main event of this chapter was the Star Awards Festival. Because of this fanfic being an AU, things are different from canon that happened here (in case you guys forgot XD). Yes, the trip to the Fire Grand Magic Zone trip by Mereoleona Vermillion will still happen. And with Evanora's extreme late call to Queen Acier Silva Clover (at the end of chapter 31) for an emergency summit meeting with the rulers of Clover, Diamond, and Heart Kingdoms. This summit idea was guardian of the aura Aurasoul's. So she agreed to let me use in The Silver Valkyrie.
