Spells and Louds.

Chapter 730: Leonard in Mastodon.

(July 22. Camp Mastodon.)

Another nice day here in Camp Mastodon, and right now we see the new scoutmaster of the Camp, Leonard Loud, the father of Lynnard Loud and the grandfather to the Loud grandkids. Now, what the heck happened?"

(Flashback.)

They make it back to Camp, and the boat horn honks and then Scoutmaster Rinsler goes to them, after he fits more than 20 marshmallows into his mouth, he then swallows it all and he sees the boat and the folks onboard. "Hey, everyone. So how was that quest? Also, is that Leonard Loud?"

Leni uses the vines and they empty the ice crate and the treasure all pours out and this shocks the scoutmaster. "Well, what do you know, the actual long lost treasure of Captain Kit?! Wait, how dangerous was the whole thing?"

They all begin to talk and describe all of the ordeals they went through, and they even told him about the fallen tree that they brought back up and a ton of other dangers they had to fight off, such as the collapsing floor and the moving walls.

This surprises Mr. Rinsler. "Wow. Now that would've been an amazing story to tell, the TV news reports will love this. Now, I know you all have donated to save the camp, but this will help make the camp last longer and we might even be able to add some new stuff to the camp for the campers to enjoy."

"Now that sounds like an excellent idea, Mr. Rinsler." Leonard comes down and so do the others.

Mr. Rinsler then asks. "Wait, why the heck are you here Leonard?"

Leonard chuckles. "Well, I picked up the Morse code from Lynnard here, and it made no sense at first, but then I figured it out and now I know what it says."

Lynn Sr chuckles nervously. "Well, I was never that good at Morse code, but I am glad my dad got to understand what it all meant. Even if it was terrible."

Lisa adjusts her glasses. "Some part of me believed perhaps I should've done something, such as sent another Morse code so that it would make sense and perhaps Gramps would've been here sooner."

"Well, as much fun as it is to see all of this, sadly the big issue is who will own the camp" said Mr. Rinsler. "I mean, I called some pals of mine, but it seems all of them have their own lives to live through, so I don't know if we should even remain open."

This disappoints some of them and Lynnard is about to cry, but then Leonard steps in. "You know, this old sea dog may have been out at sea for too long. I think it's about time I took charge of the helm!"

They all had no idea what he meant, but Linka does. "He means, that he'll take over the Camp. He wants to be the scoutmaster and owner, guys!"

That made sense, and then Lynn Sr went to his dad. "But dad, what about fishing? You seemed like a dang proud fishermen, and you loved being…"

"That is true, that I do love fishing" said Leonard. He then places a hand on his son's shoulder. "But what I truly love the most is making amazingly good memories with those who would continue on the legacy of Camp Mastodon and this place gave us so many amazing memories."

Lynn Sr is now emotional and then he hugs his father, and so the elderly loud returns the embrace, and they all awe at this touching site, and the scoutmaster is also proud of this. 'Well, looks like old dogs will always stick with the bets memories and the tricks only us old dogs know about.'

(End Flashback.)

Leonard continues to look around the camp and then he takes in the fresh air. "Brings back a lot of good….. Whoa!" He gets startled when Hitmontop and Mr. Mime walk by him. "Well, looks like I need to get used to the new wildlife when I visit Royal Woods, soon. Still, this place looks like nothing has changed."

Then he sees Lola and Lana making a sand castle and this time Lola was fine with Lana adding a crab in the moat, and Lucy is buried in the sand with her head surfacing and Crobat sitting on her sand-made tombstone.

Lisa is observing the growth of the poison ivy, and then she sees some mushrooms and goes over to see what species they are, and then she spots the Garden Worms are also living here. Luan is roasting marshmallows alongside Lily, Rita and Michelle.

Lynn Jr is helping setup the race track for the three legged race later, and the other Pokémon also help out. Lynn Sr is talking to some kids in the camp and telling them about the many amazing things they did back then.

Leonard then spots Lori and Leni walking by and talking to each other. "Umm, girls?" The two older girls look to Leonard. "Can we talk? It's something that has been bugging me."

"Alright" said Leni. They go over to some picnic benches and then they take a seat. "So, what do you wanna talk about gramps?"

Leonard then tells them. "Well, it's just that… Have things been doing well after the whole ordeal with the family not the big family we know and love? Have things been improving?"

Lori then answers. "Gramps. We get it, you're concerned and stressed after the whole issue to the sole reason why some of us aren't part of the loud family anymore, and yes things have been doing well in town, even after the whole bad luck fiasco. There are a lot of changes though."

Leni then continues. "The changes are all good, and are helping the town and showing that we can share and stand together against anything that tries to come our way, and even though we're not louds as we were before. Deep down, we're all still family and we'll always have each other's backs."

Leonard is surprised to hear this. "Wow. Well, looks like everything doesn't seem so bad anymore."

Lori nods. "Yeah, but the days that came after the whole bad luck thing were hard to handle. Heck, being the one to help keep an eye on the others was kinda rough, but then things went onward and we learned to earn back forgiveness and trust. Even Lynn, she's changed and doesn't do any dumb rituals."

"Then came the whole adventures we had, and when we all gained superpowers and then started the team known as the Royal Defenders." Leni then shows him the picture of all of them. "We do what we can to fight for others, and help keep the realms secured and safe, but we treat each other like family."

Leonard then sheds some tears hearing this. "Wow. I missed so much, I mean I did hear the news about the whole court and the crime and my son going to jail and then going out and then becoming a normal father again, but to not be here to see this go down kinda makes me feel bad."

"I wish I could've been around and see what I could've done to help. I mean, Albert was around and he seemed to be quite helpful, was he helpful around the town and the family?"

Leni nods. "He would hang out with us and even have some moments to talk about some stuff, and he's always good fun to be around and of course with his sweetheart, Myrtle. Are you feeling alright, Gramps?"

Leonard nods. "I am, and I am so proud at how you've all changed and grown up. My favorite little minnows, all grown up and doing some amazing things and…" He then hears a whistle blow. "Oh, time for the three-legged race!" He then goes over, with Lynnard to do this race.

Leni and Lori chuckle at this and then they go over to join them. Lori then looks around. "Where the heck are Luna, Lincoln and Linka?"

Loni then goes over and he holds Leni's hand and they walk to the three-legged race, and this makes Lori use her phone so she could see how Bobby and the others in Great Lakes City are doing.

On the pier, Luna is relaxing by the chair and is wearing a purple two-piece swimsuit that seems like her heroine leotard, but turned into a bikini, and she's also wearing shades and enjoying the sun.

Lincoln and Linka splash water onto each other, and then they stop and they go over and sit by the pier and look upon the lake and smile. Lincoln then speaks. "You know, it might not be so easy with the fact that you won't be around in town much" said Lincoln.

Linka smiles and she leans onto Lincoln. "Linc, it's gonna be alright. Now, I know we might feel apart, but don't worry. I'm gonna be going to school at times and we'll still see each other, and remember that I can come by and visit. I am not gonna always be at the dorm room in Leni's college."

Lincoln smiles hearing this. "Thanks for that Linka, I needed that. Also, we're still the Linck Twins, right?"

Linka nods and she fist bumps with him. "Heck yeah, Linck Twins." They then continue to look towards the lake and they ignore the hawk that flies by and snatches a fish from the waters.

Then Lincoln wonders. "I wonder how the others are doing back at town."

To be continued in the next chapter.
