"So this is what ya came up wit, then?" Bludo said, lifting up the bottle of magenta liquid. Zelda nodded, much more confident than before as she and Kass stood in front of the boss's house as the Goron inspected the liquid. Bludo raised the only eyebrow he had as he swirled the liquid around in its bottle.
"Wha' is it supposed to do?" Bludo asked curiously.
"It's supposed to alleviate your back pain. I believe it would be much more effective than those painkillers you've been taking," Zelda explained, doing her best not to expose that Bludo's painkillers had run out given Yunobo hadn't told him yet. "It uses Fairy Tonic as a base which is highly efficient in healing. It also has a bit of Goron Spice for a little extra... well... oomph."
"Well if it's go' Goron Spice in it then I can't turn it down!" Bludo said, his shifty attitude towards the fancy looking drink instantly fading. With a pop, the old Goron flicked the cap of the bottle off as he downed the bottle in two gulps. Bludo cleared his throat as he continued to inspect the empty bottle in his hand. Zelda, fidgeting with the ends of her Hylian tunic, watched in anticipation. Suddenly, Bludo's pupils dilated. The Goron stretched out his back, turning left to right as he felt his rocky backside. With a large smile, the Goron raised his fist in the air.
"Why, I feel amazin'!" he called out happily, laughing a hearty laugh as he continued to stretch out. "This stuff is great! What do ya call this?"
"Fairy Spice!" Zelda answered, returning the happy smile.
"Fairy Spice?" Bludo repeated with curiosity as he handed the bottle back to Zelda. "Well that is somethin', I'll give ya tha'. Maybe ya really can figure out what's been goin' on with ol' Rudania..."
"Does that mean you'll allow us to visit the Divine Beast, then?" Zelda asked excitedly, almost jumping for joy. Bludo sighed, though the smile on his face seemed to contradict his own action.
"I'll let ya up. I feel like ya would've gone anyway just like tha' first Hylian did," Bludo said, scratching the back of his head. "Though, I do have to ask ya somethin'."
"Why of course," Zelda responded, the feeling of pride still coursing through her veins.
"Are ya gonna be able to send more o' tha' Fairy Spice up this way?" Bludo asked. "Be a shame to experience tha' kinda relief and then not have anymore, if ya know what I mean?"
"The others asked me about that as well," Zelda said, returning to her thoughtful self. "I wish to find a way to make it more accessible. I can't right now, but believe me when I say that I'll find a way to get you more Fairy Spice."
"Why, I like tha' sound of that!" the boss laughed heartily. "I like ya little Hylian! I hope you visit more often with ya research. Well, then I have stuff to do now tha' my back feels better! Wish ya luck with Rudania."
Bludo walked off, for once having a proper stance as he walked away. Kass looked down at the Hylian he stood next to, watching as she waved Bludo away with a kind smile on her face.
"I knew you wished to help him," Kass said with a teasing smile. Zelda rose an eyebrow as she glanced over at Kass, doing her best to come up with a snarky remark. However, after a few moments, all Zelda could do was chuckle as she stayed silent.
"Well then, shall we head up to the Divine Beast?" Zelda asked, the smile remaining on her face. Kass, however, was not looking in Zelda's direction but in fact was staring off down the road and across the bridges towards the city exit. It was only when Zelda called his name did he respond.
"Kass?"
The bard quickly turned his head to the small Hylian calling his name, blinking a few times trying to process what she had said.
"Sorry about that, my dear," Kass finally responded, his usual cheerful smile returning. "Can we actually wait until tomorrow? I wish to check on something if you don't mind. Private matters."
"O-Oh, alright then," Zelda said, slight disappointment in her voice. This hadn't gone unnoticed by the Rito.
"I do apologize, but why don't we take this time to prepare? I do believe right after the Divine Beast you would like to head directly to Rito Village, yes?" Kass said, trying to validate his reason for not wanting to board the Divine Beast quite yet. Despite his best efforts, Zelda's face only fell into more disappointment. Right, Rito Village equated to seeing Link. Zelda reluctantly gave in, nodding in agreement.
"It would probably be best to prepare today and check the Divine Beast early tomorrow morning," Zelda said, looking up at the sun with a raised hand to shield her eyes. "We have lost quite a bit of daylight. We might as well go shopping today to prepare for our journey to Rito Village."
"Why, of course!" Kass said happily as the two began to walk towards the shops in town. Zelda stretched as if she completed a week's worth of tasks before looking off at the shops, wondering what she should take with them. Kass, on the other hand, lost his smile as he glanced back over at the exit of Goron City.
...
Night had fallen over Goron City, the moonlight glistening over the rubies that sat atop the rocky buildings scattered across the terrain. The steam quietly rose from the volcano's lava rivers as the embers soared peacefully through the air. While most Goron, along with the single Hylian that currently resided in the Rollin' Inn peacefully slept away, one Rito bard remained awake.
Kass took a glance over at the ex-princess whose chest was slowly rising and falling in her peaceful slumber before silently sliding out of bed. With a quiet ruffling of his feathers, the large Rito silently made his way to the inn's exit.
"A bit late to be takin' a nighttime stroll, don' ya think?" Tray, still standing behind the inn front desk, called out quietly to the bard. Kass turned with a smile as he waved Tray off.
"Well I can't practice my songs in the inn this late at night, can I?" Kass lamented. "Believe me, being on a journey with that Hylian is much more time consuming than I would have ever dreamed."
"I believe ya," Tray said, nodding his large head. "Hylians are a different breed. Take care out there, I'll save ya bed for ya."
Kass nodded in thanks before turning out the door. The moment he had gotten a few feet away from the Rollin' Inn, Kass took to the skies, using the lava pool steam as gust leverage. The Rito circled the city, his sharp eyes scanning the area as he flew. He had noticed the figure only hours prior, hiding away behind rocks. He was certain they were still here keeping an eye on Zelda.
It only took a few minutes before Kass spotted him just outside the city borders, his lengthy body curled up as he kept peeking over the rocks. His gaze seemed to be centered on the far off Rollin' inn where the Hylian currently resided. Kass squinted his eyes before diving, landing a few feet away from the figure, who jumped at the sudden air pressure from Kass' large wings.
"I wouldn't move if I were you... Yiga," Kass said with a threatening smile. The Yiga turned eerily towards the Rito bard, apparently unsurprised that he had been found out despite the sudden jolt of shock from Kass' sudden landing.
"I knew you had noticed me," the Yiga said, his voice shaking. Kass raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want with that girl?" Kass asked. "I don't believe she is anyone of importance to you."
"An old woman in Tarrey Town told me something similar," the Yiga responded, now slowly circling Kass as his feet shifted side to side. "Funny how a seemingly normal girl has received so much... protection. A bit odd, wouldn't you say?"
"I wouldn't consider it that odd," Kass said cheerfully. "Good people help those in need."
"Even the Hylian Champion would stop his efforts to help a single random traveler as much as he did?" the Yiga asked. Kass's smile faltered just a bit. "The Hylian Champion has much more pressing matters, whether it be investigating more about ancient technology or determining whether Calamity Ganon had been properly defeated. But no, he hung around that Hylian girl... My Blademaster may have told me to forget the girl, but I am convinced: she is Princess Zelda, isn't she?"
The two sat in silence for a moment before Kass sighed.
"No matter what I answer, I feel you would attack her anyway," Kass said, losing his smile. "I see that sickle behind your back..."
The Yiga chuckled as he fully revealed the sickle. The curved blade shone in the moonlight as the Yiga brought it up towards Kass.
"And if I did, what would you possibly do about it?" the Yiga questioned cockily. Kass smiled.
"I don't believe I could do much about it. I would most certainly put up a fight, but I do believe you would come out on top. I am little but a simple bard," Kass said with a shrug. "However, I don't believe the Hylian Champion would take too kindly to having his friend murdered in cold blood..."
"By now the Hylian champion should be dead," the Yiga laughed. "That headstrong child? He always tends to run into danger by his lonesome, regardless of if he is prepared or not. And from what my Blademaster told me, he had used up most if not all of his precious sword's power. Now that we Yiga have the Malice of Calamity Ganon, that knight doesn't stand a chance."
"I think you underestimate our mutual friend. He is the one who defeated the Calamity after all," Kass said cheerfully. While Kass' smile remained, his mind was racing. Kass was not a fighter, and judging by the Yiga's responses and slow pacing, the enemy wasn't going to back off with the empty threats Kass was throwing out. The Rito took a step back.
"Seems as though you've run out of quick words, Rito," the Yiga said, shifting closer to Kass. Kass chuckled.
"Well, I am a bard. Quick words are kind of my strong suit, if I do say so myself," Kass said, his smile remaining as he backed off a bit further. The Yiga tilted his head as he prepared to leap.
"Well, why don't you sing those songs after I send you to the afterlife?"
With a leap, the Yiga was in the air, ready to bring his sickle down upon the Rito. Kass raised his feathered wings, prepared to feel the burn of the sickle sinking deep into his flesh. However, the pain never came. In fact, all that had come was a sudden scream from the Yiga. Kass removed his arms from his eyes just in time to see the Yiga crash to the ground, beginning to convulse in pain.
"W-Whats happening!?" the Yiga cried out. Puffs of purple smoke began to exit the Yiga as a pig-like shape flew out of his body. The cloud-like pig roared as it disappeared into the night sky; the Yiga weakly lifted his hand up, attempting to pull the malice back into his body. "D-Don't tell me-!?"
"Seems as though the Hylian Champion has found a way to cleanse the Yiga of their Malice," Kass said happily as he watched the Yiga writhe on the ground. After a few moments, the Yigas breathing became softer as its body began to seemingly shut down from the lack of Malice. "Well, I guess I better bring you to Bludo. He would know what to do with you; this is his turf after all."
Kass began to walk towards the Yiga, who was slowly losing consciousness. However, the Yiga slowly raised a hand in the air. With the last of his strength, the Yiga slammed a smoke bomb to the ground, disappearing into the night. Kass quickly looked around, trying to see if the Yiga had disappeared anywhere nearby. However, the lanky enemy was nowhere in sight. The Rito couldn't help but sigh in relief.
"Way to cut it close there, Champion," Kass spoke out to his friend, even though last he heard, the Hylian Champion was currently in the Gerudo Desert. "Next time get it done before I'm about to get chopped to bits..."
...
The sunlight glimmered as Kass sat outside the Rollin' Inn, still amazed by how his night had gone. Playing a quiet tune on his accordion, Kass leaned up against the rocky building. His eyes slowly closed, hoping to get a few minutes of sleep before the young girl awoke. However, the moment his eyelids had properly shut-
"KASS!" a voice called out from the building he was leaning on. Kass's eyes shot open as a golden-haired girl bolted out of the Rollin' Inn, excitedly looking around for her Rito friend. Her eyes quickly landed on the Rito sitting outside the inn and she smiled brightly.
"There you are! Looks like you woke up before I did this time!" she said cheerfully as she stretched her body out. "You know, the feeling of success can make even the most uncomfortable mattresses feel wonderful, even rock ones. Wouldn't you agree?"
Kass stared at Zelda's rested smile. Apparently the girl was full of pride and confidence after discovering the Fairy Spice. Kass chuckled tiredly as he stood.
"Why yes, Zelda, I do believe you're right," Kass said, yawning as he smiled down. Zelda gave him a confused look before glancing around at their surroundings.
"Kass, you used my real name! Aren't we supposed to be careful in case Yiga are around?" Zelda stated. Kass's smile grew wider yet more tired at the sound of that.
"Now you care..." Kass sighed, his smile remaining. This girl's mood really did determine her thoughts. "Trust me, we don't need to worry about them anymore."
"What makes you say that so suddenly?" Zelda questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Am I missing something?"
"Yes, you are, but I like seeing your cheerful side," Kass said as he squatted down, preparing for Zelda to climb onto his back. "If I told you why you're safe now, and who made it so, you would only get frustrated. Just trust me when I say all is well."
Zelda blinked a few times, but chose to accept Kass's words at face value. She was, in fact, in a good mood. If it had anything to do with Link at the moment, she would just accept that and keep moving. With a little leap, the girl jumped onto the back of the Rito. With a little rustle of feathers the bard flapped his wings once again, soaring into the sky as the two ventured towards the divine iguana, still idle on the volcanic mountainside.
Zelda laughed, holding her hands up freely as the two weaved through the air. She took a breath of fresh air as the wind blew past her. This feeling of freedom would never get tiring. Kass, glancing back at Zelda's happiness, smiled as he began flapping harder, soaring up the mountain path.
"Take a look down there, Zelda!" Kass called out, gesturing his head to the pathway below. Zelda leaned over a bit to look down at the path. There Yunobo was, however he wasn't alone. There Bludo was along with him as he stood next to what seemed to be a large mechanical cannon.
"Ya ready, Yunobo!?" the old Goron, still standing up properly, called out. Yunobo gave the thumbs up as an orange glow began to encircle him. With a leap, the glowing Goron found his way inside the cannon as Zelda watched on in awe from the skies. With an explosive blast from Bludo's cannon, Yunobo's glowing body was fired, landing a direct blow in the center of the still-raised Eldin Bridge. With a loud creak, the iron bridge fell, crashing to the ground; the entrance to the top of the volcano was opened once again.
"Yunobo!" Zelda called out from the Rito, waving as she did. The young Goron, a bit ditsy from his impact, looked up. The moment his large eyes landed on Zelda, a large smile grew from cheek to cheek.
"Heeeeeey!" Yunobo called out, waving back as Kass and Zelda soared high above the Bridge of Eldin. "Good luck up there!"
"Guess we didn' need ta drop the bridge for 'em," Bludo laughed as he watched the Rito and Hylian fly higher up the mountain. "She coulda just flown up there, but chose to get my approval anyway! I really like tha' one!"
Zelda smiled, watching Yunobo and Bludo disappear in the distance as they continued to fly higher, circling the mountain with each flap of Kass' wings. The girl faced forward on the Rito's back, focusing her attention upwards. There it was, steaming away, half its body still in the volcano's lava-filled mouth. Its burly shoulders and long curved legs glowed blue as its yellowish claws dug into the volcanic boulders of Death Mountain's side. Its multiple face flaps remained open, almost giving it a mechanical flower-like appearance with the familiar tongue-like antenna remaining aimed at the castle.
"Alright!" Kass called out as they circled the beast from a distance. "How do you want to do this?"
"The Main Terminal is on the center of the back!" Zelda called out over the volcanic sounds coming from Death Mountain's gaping mouth. She wiped her brow from the newfound heat blowing from the volcano's opening as she continued to scan the area for the Divine beast's Main Terminal. Frowning from the difficulty of spotting it, she brought out the Sheikah Slate, now that it was safe to use openly, and opened the camera. With the zoom feature, Zelda observed the beast from a distance before spotting the Main Terminal under the large spike-like arcs on the beast's back. Zelda frowned. "It's at an angle! Rudania's second half of the body is still in the volcano! If we simply land we could slip into the lava below!"
Steam blew from the volcanic entrance and caught in Kass's wings, slightly veering him off course. Kass frowned as he passed over the opening, now circling at an even further distance from Rudania.
"The Beast couldn't be sitting in a worse position!" Zelda called out, trying to come up with some sort of solution.
"I beg to differ!" Kass shouted back, still trying to keep an optimistic atmosphere. "I believe Link said that when he calmed the beast, he had to jump into the volcano in its entirety!"
"Well good for him!" Zelda said, frustrated that Link always seemed to one-up her. "Unfortunately, we have a less cool, and more frustrating stance from Rudania! I bet he had a blast jumping- Wait... that's it!"
Kass glanced up at Zelda as the two continued to circle the volcano top. Had he heard her right over all this wind? Did she just say what he believed she said?
"Explain, dear Zelda?" Kass called out over the volcanic winds. "What do you mean 'that's it?'"
"We're diving right in!" Zelda said, fixing herself into a more secure sitting position on Kass' back. "You'll have to keep steady, but if you can fly in place for a few moments, I can get the information we need!"
Kass blinked. Was she insane? She wanted them to dive right into the volcano! He was a simple bard and she was an ex-princess. This was most certainly a Link-type job! However, as terrifying and crazy as the plan seemed, Kass couldn't wipe the grin from his face.
"I hope it's in my best interest to trust you, my dear Zelda!" Kass called out as he flapped higher, now circling above the volcano and the beast. "I know you may not want to hear this, but it seems as though Link has rubbed off on you a bit!"
"Whatever you say!" Zelda called back out, looking down at the lava in the volcano below as Kass faced upwards flying higher. She couldn't believe she was doing this either, but it was the only way. Maybe Link was rubbing off on her...
"Okay! I'm ready when you are!" Zelda called out, facing forward towards the clouds as she gripped Kass's armor tighter, preparing for the inevitable drop. With a final flap of the wings, Kass arced back as the two flew upside down and eventually down towards the lava below. Zelda gripped Kass's armor tighter as the two picked up speed. She fought to keep her eyes open against the blazing winds from the volcano, her hair flying behind her as they fired down towards the Divine Beast.
"Get ready!" Kass called out, preparing to increase his strength to fight against the stronger winds as they neared the volcano entrance. However, with a grumble, the volcano began to shake, the piercing sounds of boulders falling and collapsing as the echoes of creaking began to bounce off of the volcanic walls. Zelda's eyes grew wide, even against the heat, as she watched what transpired before her as the two bolted downwards. The Divine Beast was moving.
With a grumbling of the iguana's roar and the shaking of the volcano, Divine Beast Vah Rudania's face closed as it began shifting, its legs creaking as it lifted one of its feet, moving it towards another part of the volcano's ledge. Rudania was moving over. The two were now not plummeting towards the main terminal, but towards the lava below.
"Kass!" Zelda screamed as she gripped the leather even tighter than before, her knuckles turning white. "Pull up! Pull up!"
Kass snapped his spine back as the two flew into the volcano below where the Divine Beast originally sat, pulling up just moments before hitting any sort of lava. The two shot out the volcano, unscathed but shaken to the bone.
"Are you alright, Zelda!?" Kass asked curiously as he flew back into the sky. Zelda, breathing heavily due to her near-death experience, gathered the courage to look back down at the beast now that they were once again safe in the sky.
"I don't understand!" Zelda called out as the two circled the beast once again, recovering from almost being cooked alive. The Beast had returned to its original stance, only having moved over a few Divine Beast-sized paces as it remained leaning over the volcanic edge. "Why did it move!? Vah Ruta didn't move when I boarded it!"
Zelda watched on as the two circled from a safe distance above the beast. Vah Ruta had let them in safely. What was different about this? Was the Divine Beast testing them? But why would it test her and Kass? Suddenly Zelda's eyes grew wide with realization as she looked down at Kass' feathery backside.
"Kass!" Zelda called out, her hands trembling at her sudden realization. "It's a test."
"Why would it be testing us?" Kass called out over the winds, however Zelda shook her head.
"It's not testing us," Zelda said with a shaky voice. "If my theory is correct... It's testing me."
Kass looked back at her with worry in his eyes. What crazy plan was she going to come up with now? Zelda, noticing Kass' glance, took in a deep breath.
"Kass, the Beast only moved over. If it truly didn't want us on it, it would have completely moved away! It only wants me onboard! This is the only explanation I have!" she called out. "I need you to trust me!"
Kass continued to stare back at the girl as he flapped his wings. With a sigh, Kass gave in with a nod.
"What do you need me to do?" Kass asked, facing forward with determination. Zelda took another deep breath as she shifted on Kass' back once again.
"Same as last time, we fly upwards!" Zelda called out shakily. "And then, I need you to catch me when I give you the signal. And only, when I give you a signal. Okay?"
"What do you plan to-" Kass began to ask, however Zelda cut him off.
"Just trust me Kass! Please!" she cried. Kass flew silent for a second before nodding once again. With a powerful flap of his wings Kass rose into the sky once more. The two flew higher and higher above the entrance volcano as the clouds grew denser.
"When should I stop!?" Kass yelled back as he continued to fly higher. Zelda, holding her breath, gripped the back of Kass' armor yet again as she propped herself onto her toes, now in a crouched position on his back.
"NOW!" Zelda shouted. With a leap, Zelda launched backwards off of Kass' back, surprising the bird as he flew forward just a bit. Kass immediately adjusted himself to watch as Zelda rocketed through the air downwards towards the volcanic entrance and the Divine Beast.
"Zelda!" Kass called out, preparing to dive after her, however her own words rang through his mind: Trust me!
Kass gritted his beak as he once again began to circle from high above.
"I hope my teacher was right about that intelligence of yours..." Kass said. "I shall await the signal!"
Wait... what was the signal?
As Kass continued to circle the Divine Beast, Zelda rocketed towards the lava below, aiming for Rudania's backside. All she had to do was land on the Main Terminal. Simple as that. If Link could do it, so could she. The backside of the Divine Beast grew larger as Zelda fell closer and closer to it. Zelda's breathing grew heavier the closer she got, sweating from the what and the anxiety.
It's okay, Zelda told herself as she closed her eyes, feeling the wind brush against her face. This is just like when Link and I paraglided off the cliff at home. It's the same. It's the same...
Zelda's eyes snapped open as she rocketed into the mouth of the mountain.
It's the same!
At the last second, Zelda pulled out her paraglider as she soared towards the backside of the Divine Beast inside the volcano. With a small leap, Zelda swung off the paraglider towards the vertical backside of the beast, her arms and fingers gripping onto the top side of the protruding bulb-like structure. Zelda had successfully landed on the Main Terminal.
With as much strength as she could muster, Zelda pulled herself onto the top side of the terminal. Zelda sat down, her hand on her chest as her eyes remained wide in shock. She did that. She actually did that. That was an insane idea! Zelda took a moment to get her breathing under control before looking around at her surroundings.
The lower half of Vah Rudania's body was parallel with the volcano itself, its tentacle-like legs digging into the volcanic walls, the long tail disappearing into the bubbling lava below. Zelda looked down as she continued to sit on the Main Terminal, staring at the bottom of the beast, only seeing the harsh volcanic ocean below. The orangish glow of the lava reflected off the scorching hot rocks that composed the inner walls of the volcano as more embers than before rose from below. Zelda's skin seared from heat that seemed to get more intense with each passing second. The fireproof elixir wasn't strong enough to withstand these extreme temperatures. She didn't have much time.
However, there was one other thing throwing the girl off: the ringing of her ears seemed to have a pattern to it... It took a few moments for Zelda to realize that wasn't her ears ringing at all. It was a beeping noise. She looked down at the terminal's control unit that now sat at her feet. The beeping was coming from there. Wiping waterfalls of sweat from her face, the girl took the Sheikah Slate from her belt as she moved the Slate between her legs and down against the control unit. The Sheikah Slate took a moment to load before something flashed against the screen.

"What... is this?" Zelda whispered as she looked at the Slate's screen. Were these signals? Signals coming from Vah Rudania? Zelda quickly looked around as she pressed her back to the floor, now a wall since this beast was angled up the mountain. Was something here? Was the Beast still taken over?
With a quick inspection, however, nothing seemed to be wrong with the beast. The lights of the beast remained their normal blue color, and there wasn't a trace of Malice or monsters clinging to the beast. It was still protected.
"What does this mean?" Zelda asked herself as she stared back down at the slate. Drops of sweat falling onto the screen. "Who is sending these signals out?"
Was Vah Ruta beeping as well? Did she nor Link never notice any beeping when they had originally gone in, assuming that it was simply just another sound of the Divine Beast? Zelda gripped the tablet. This was a clue, along with Vah Rudania accepting her onto its body. There were definitely trials put in place for them and it had to do with the Divine Beasts. The appearance of Malice was no coincidence. Zelda and Link still had a job to do, and whether it was the spirit of the Champions or the ancient monks, someone was guiding them. One thing at this very moment was certain, though:
Zelda had to head to Rito Village.
Zelda stood, balancing on the front of the terminal as she took a step forward. Waving her Sheikah Slate in the air, the girl signaled for Kass. The Rito descended, diving into the volcano below. The Divine Beast didn't budge, allowing Zelda to part from its backside onto Kass' backside. With his powerful wings, Kass flew out the mountain as Vah Rudania remained peacefully still.
"I hope you have passed on, Daruk," Zelda said as the Rito circled the beast once again, still unsure of whether it was a monk or the Champion spirits guiding them. "And if not, I hope you pass on soon."
As if the spirit was listening, Vah Rudania's grumbling roar echoed around the volcano. Zelda's eyes filled with tears. Daruk was still there.
"I shall free you," she whispered. "I promise."
"What shall we do now, Zelda?" Kass called out to the Hylian girl on his back. Zelda wiped sweat, and possibly tears, from her face yet again.
"We fly to Rito Village," Zelda said, adjusting herself on Kass' back. "We have to visit Vah Medoh. It's the last beast."
"Very well, but it'll be a long flight, dear princess," Kass called out as he circled the top of the volcano one last time. "You may be a bit uncomfortable."
"That's fine," Zelda said, pulling out a notebook from the Sheikah Slate as she rested it against Kass' leathery back armor. "I'm not a princess anymore. Comfort isn't a luxury I should need anymore."
Kass nodded as he began to fly away from Vah Rudania and Death Mountain, soaring through the air towards the mechanical bird barely visible in the far-off distance. As Kass soared, Zelda began to write in her notebook, her hair flying behind her as she leaned down with a quill in hand. She had to know what this meant. What these signals were... she had to find out.
