Chapter 2
Solstheim - Middas 19 of last seed of 202 of the Fourth era
Edzard's eyes began to widen at the sunlight and the sound of a moving cart. Blinking he began to look around. His head throbbed as if he'd gone drinking with Jon Battle-Born and half the Companions. Looking around him, he realized that the girl he had saved was lying next to him.
Still disoriented by the headache he decided to sit down. As he did so he could see that he was in a cart, which was pulled by two guards. And that next to the car were a group of five guards also mounted on a guard each. All of whom wore the same armor. Which was full-bodied, that is, they had: bib, shoulder pads slightly longer than normal, greaves, boots, gloves and a closed helmet that did not allow the person's face to be seen. All these pieces were made from a bone mold. In addition to being dark yellow. This only proved that these were Redoran guards.
—At last wake up, Serjo —said the guard on his left, as he was the closest.
—Yes, where are we? —Edzard asked, as he still wasn't conscious enough to see where he was. By the way, what are you doing here?
—To answer his first question, we are near Kolbjorn's Barrow—replied the guard to his left.
—By the second, well, we were on a night watch near Fort Frost Moth when you and the girl showed up —the guard who was driving the cart answered.
—I see, the strong Frost Moth —Edzard commented, looking up at the sky.
—That damn Neloth! —Edzard yelled annoyed, a scream that didn't even disturb the girl sleeping next to him. He must have used magic to send us there!
That was most likely, since there was more than four hours of riding at medium speed from Tel Mithryn to Fort Frozen Moth. Although they had asked for asylum, it was very likely that the old Dunmer had grown bored with them and simply sent them with magic to a nearby area.
—Well, you shouldn't cry over spilled milk —Edzard commented with a sigh—. Truth be told, the old man has done me a favor.
By the position of the sun it should be almost noon, if he had left Tel Mithryn after breakfast, he would have just reached the vicinity of the strong Frost Moth. As she pondered this, his stomach began to rumble. Hearing it, Edzard turned his head towards the group of guars, when he realized that his guar was with them. With a hiss, the guard approached him. Edzard proceeded to rummage through the backpack where he had his supplies. Finding them, Edzard hurried to eat some meat and bread, then took a drink of water—. How long will it take to get to Raven Rock?
—If we're lucky, and they don't attack us, in about four hours.
—Well, the truth is that he already wanted to get there —Edzard said—. I need a bathroom.
After that talk, Edzard put his helmet back on, as the guards had removed it when he appeared at the fort.
Almost four hours had passed and as they continued to advance through the barren hills of ash, Edzard heard the girl wake up. It was a very funny scene, the girl sat down starting to blink and rub her eyes. She then she began to look around her finally noticing the presence of him and her guards.
—Oh, good morning —the girl said, still sleepy.
—Good morning to you too —Edzard replied in the girl's native language.
The girl's head moved so fast, it looked like she had broken her neck. Edzard and the guards had a drop of sweat on their heads from this action. The guards were also puzzled, as they were listening to Edzard speak a language they did not recognize.
—Hey, can you speak my language? —Asked the girl.
—Yes, and you should be able to speak mine too —Edzard replied in his own native language.
The girl blinked in surprise, it was true, now she understood what he was saying; However, before they continued speaking a very loud growl was heard. The sound caused the Redoran guards to start looking around in alarm as they put their hands on their sheathed swords, for that sound sounded like a great beast.
—Ja, ja, ja. Relax, I know where that sound comes from —Edzard laughed amused, interrupting the state of alarm of the guards.
—Serjo? —Asked a Redoran guard.
Edzard did not respond with words, he just pointed a finger at the girl who was all red. The guards did not understand what she was referring to; however, when the sound rang again they did. The sound was coming from the poor girl, who was trying to hide her face in her hands. This drew laughter from the Redoran guards, who returned to formation.
—Here, take this —Edzard said, as he handed the girl some food from her supply bag, which was almost empty.
—Thank you —the girl replied, taking the food offered.
Edzard heard the girl give what seemed to be a blessing. Then start eating. When she finished eating, Edzard handed her one of the water skins for her to drink. The girl received it and after drinking she gave it back. Then the girl began to speak.
—Thanks.
—You're welcome.
—Looks like we haven't introduced ourselves —Edzard said—. My name is Edzard Rolandson.
—Nice to meet you, my name is Asia Argento —Asia said with a smile.
The Redoran guards began to introduce themselves to Asia. When she had finished the introductions, the group continued on their way to Raven Rock.
—I'm sure you have some questions.
—Yes, I have some.
—Question, I'll try to answer them as best I can.
—Where am I? What were those things that attacked me? What are you? What are the creatures you ride on?" and where are they taking me? —Asked Asia a little uneasy.
Edzard was not surprised by the flood of questions from Asia. It was normal for someone to have such doubts when meeting strangers.
—Well, to answer the first one, you are in Solstheim, a province of Morrowind. By the Second, the beings that attacked you are known as ash spawns.
—For your third question, they are Redoran guards —Edzard replied as he pointed to the soldiers accompanying them. And me, I'm just a poor adventurer.
Upon mentioning that he was just a poor adventurer, the guards laughed lightly.
—Yes, Serjo, you're just a poor adventurer —One of the guards named Arsyn buffed—. A poor adventurer, who has several honorary titles on top.
This reply from the guard made Asia look shyly at Edzard. While the aforementioned only turned his head to the other side.
—Well, as much as I wanted to continue this talk, we've already reached Raven Rock —Edzard said as he pointed to the stronghold on the nearby hill.
Asia stared in amazement at the great wall in front of her. This was tall approximately eight meters. After passing through a tunnel they were taken to what should be guard barracks. The Redoran guards who had accompanied them said their goodbyes and walked away in the direction of what appeared to be the guard stables.
—We should go down— Edzard said as he got off the wagon.
Once he got down, he reached out her hand so that she too could get down. Taking her hand, Asia also got off the wagon. Edzard took with the other hand the reins of her mount, which she Asia did not even know what her name she possessed, nor what creature she was. As they walked through the streets, they were approached by an Elf very similar in skin tone and eye color to those of the elf who had taken them into the houses that seemed to be made of mushrooms; However, unlike the other elf, this one had a beard in the shape of a padlock, in addition to possessing the same armor of the guards who had escorted them, but without the helmet.
—Edzard, you're still alive —the strange elf greeted, who looked at Asia. Which was trying to hide behind Edzard.
—I see you've brought someone with you —the elf said—. What is his miss name?
—A. ... Asia Argento, sir —Asia replied shyly, introducing herself to the elf.
—Modyn Veleth, Captain of the Redoran Guard, at his service —Captain Veleth introduced himself.
Edzard who was watching the interaction between the two decided to intervene when he saw that poor Asia was very nervous to be in front of the captain.
—Captain Veleth, I didn't expect to see you so soon —Edzard spoke.
—Neither do I, but Councilor Morvayn wishes to see you as soon as possible.
—Did you say what it is?
—No, but he said that if he saw you coming he would let you know that he wants to talk to you.
—Okay, I'll head there right away —Edzard spoke. By the way, the patrol from Fort Frostmoth has arrived.
Hearing that, Captain Veleth's eyes widened slightly. He quickly said goodbye to them and hurriedly headed towards the barracks to receive the report from the patrol.
—Well, we should head to Morvayn Manor —Edzard said—. I can't leave you alone around here, you don't know the place and you might get lost.
—I ... don't want to bother you — Asia stammered shyly.
—Easy, it's not a bother.
Hearing that, Asia felt a little joy in her heart. It was her first time a stranger helped her the way Edzard was doing. A smile formed on Asia's face as Edzard took her hand and they started walking.
The duo walked down the main street of the bastion. Asia gazed in wonder at the houses and buildings of the place. These were very different from the buildings she knew in her hometown, as they seemed to be made from the shells of large animals. The locals wore blue, red and yellow clothes. They were all dark-skinned elves with eyes of various shades of red. Everyone they came across greeted Edzard respectfully and he responded in kind. And some greeted her too.
The sun had begun to set when they reached Morvayn Manor. The mansion was a different house from the others, because it did not seem to be made of a giant shell, but rather it looked like a normal building. The building had two towers, one on each side, which were higher than the central part, which was a rectangle. Edzard had greeted the two guards at the gates, and then they had entered.
The interior of the mansion was more spacious than one would think from the external facade of it, in addition to being richly decorated with flags where there was an image of an insect similar to a beetle. At the entrance there was a table with fruits and bottles of wine, in addition to a shelf with several books. The floor was made of stone slabs, and there were goat horns that served as torches.
—Asia, you can stay here while I go talk to the Councilor —Edzard said, pointing to a bench that was there.
Asia nodded, then walked over to the bench and sat down. Edzard then walked to the right, to address an elf who was sitting on a kind of throne made of wood. As he approached, Edzard saw that Councilor Morvayn was with the second Councilor Arano.
Councilor Morvayn is a gray-skinned elf with a long face. his hair is rust red in color, almost turning a dark orange. He had it shaved on both sides of his head, leaving a strip in the middle, which was long enough to hang down one side, he had a bushy beard in the shape of a padlock. His clothing consists of a blue tunic with gold trim, black pants and boots of the same color. He also wears a small brown fur cape on his shoulders, which is fastened with a gold clasp. in addition to having gold rings on the fingers and a necklace of the same material.
The second Councilor Arano also had gray skin, red eyes, and a long face. His hair is black, which is slightly long and is combed back. his clothing is a long, light brown coat, with pants of the same color and brown shoes. unlike his partner he didn't have that much jewelery on himself, just a pair of gold rings and nothing else.
As he approached both of them, Edzard bowed. Which was answered with a nod of the head from both Councilores.
—Councilor Morvayn, Second Councilor Arano —Edzard greeted respectfully.
—Edzard, it's nice to see you again —Councilore Morvayn replied, while Second Councilore Arano only nodded.
—Captain Veleth told me that you wanted to speak to me as soon as possible.
—Yes, my friend. I wanted to talk to you about some of the issues that have happened since the ebony mines were reopened and also about your mission to end Miraak's influence.
—I managed to defeat Miraak. His influence is no longer in Solstheim.
That's good, very good. Without his influence we can now set about rebuilding Raven Rock to his former glory.
—Regarding the matters I mentioned to you, my superiors in House Redoran have asked me to give you a reward for your assistance in the matter of both Miraak and the reopening of the mine— said the Councilore. Upon mentioning this, Second Councilore Arano rose from his post and brought a letter which was delivered to Edzard.
Opening the letter, Edzard was surprised to see that the Redoran household was paying him over thirty thousand septims, which was not a very small sum. The currency known as the septim, is the official currency used by the provinces of the empire. Edzard was grateful to have the helmet still on. Otherwise they would see his eyes wide open. And this is because he just got paid enough gold to buy another fully furnished mansion, as well as being the first time he was paid so much for a job. In other words, some simpler bounty hunter jobs like killing bandits give one hundred septims and more complex ones like killing a dragon or a wizard give an approximate fifteen hundred.
—Thank you, Councilor —Edzard replied, still in shock at the amount described in the letter.
—No, my friend. We should thank you, you have given us hope when we needed it most.
After this talk, Edzard proceeded to say goodbye to both Councilores. As he left, he realized that Asia was speaking with the wife of the Second Councilor Arano, a woman named Cindiri. Cindiri is the typical Dunmer woman, in other words, she is a gray-skinned elf, with red eyes and not very long black hair, which she wore loosely on her back. She wears a dark green noble dress with red touches, which also has golden embroidery, in addition to this she also had boots lined with light brown fur. When they reached the women, Cindiri was the first to notice her arrival. Seeing him, she just gave him a hello and a small smile, then said goodbye to Asia. Leaving them both alone.
—I see you've met Cindiri, the second Councilore's wife —Edzard said as he sat down on the bench next to Asia.
—Yes, she told me many things about this region.
—Well, I'm done with what I came here to do, so you have to make a decision — Edzard's voice sounded serious.
—Decision? —Asia asked shyly, as she didn't know what decision she should make.
—Yes, you have two options. The first is to go to an inn and stay there until you find a job you can support yourself with —Edzard said, looking into her eyes—. Of course, the pension for your stay and the meals will be paid by me.
—And what is the second option?
—That you start living with someone you just met.
That surprised Asia, as she was not expecting this. He told her that she would pay for her stay until she finds a way to subsist in this place. But the second option left her even more surprised. She never expected someone who had just met her to care enough for her to offer to live with him. Thanks to the conversation she had with Cindiri, she had already started to get an idea of the kind of person Edzard was. Cindiri had commented that he was someone very difficult to understand, because she could go from being a cheerful and playful person to a serious and mortal person, but what she was very sure of was that he is a very kind person. Asia's eyes began to water from the emotions she was feeling.
Maybe I was very direct about this, thought a worried Edzard. Seeing that Asia's eyes started to water.
—Please don't cry for heaven's sake —Edzard stammered, this scene getting very awkward.
—I'm sorry, forgive me ... I just didn't expect ... you to worry so much ... about me —Asia sobbed, while she wiped away her tears and tried to calm herself.
—Asia, I haven't known you for long, that is to say we've literally only known each other since yesterday, and we started talking today —Edzard sighed—. But in this short time, I have realized that you are a very kind person, perhaps too kind for this world.
Hearing Edzard say that, Asia's cries came back with more intensity. Asia then hugged Edzard, taking him by surprise. Edzard, upon receiving the hug, was frozen by Asia's action, however, he decided to return the hug. They stayed like that for a while, not realizing that they were being seen not only by Cindiri, but also by the Councilores and some Redoran guards, it seems that there would be new love rumors about the Dovahkiin.
—So, you've decided? —Edzard asked softly when he saw that Asia's crying had stopped.
—Yes, I want to live with you —Asia replied as she wiped her tears with the sleeve of her dress.
—Then we must go back to my home here in the bastion, luckily, it's not very far.
After getting up, Edzard helped Asia get up from the bench, and taking her by the hand, he left the building. Once outside the building he took the reins of her guard, helping Asia up, then mounted the guard as well. After that they left for the Severin mansion.
Upon reaching the mansion, Asia realized that like the other houses in the area, this one seemed to be made from the shells of giant insects. On the outskirts there were plants similar to giant red sabilas. Edzard led the guar to a small barn that he had built when he acquired the property. Where he dismounted and then helped Asia dismount.
Edzard led Asia to the entrance of the mansion, then opened the door and entered both. Asia looked inside the mansion and was surprised, as she thought that she would see the remains of the animal to which the shell belonged; however, inside there was only a small fireplace at the back, while right in the center of the room was a staircase that led down to the next floor.
—Well, I suppose I should say, welcome to my humble abode —Edzard joked, for this humble house had nothing. Yes, the facade looked ordinary, but if you look at the materials of the objects in it, then their jaw would drop, most of these were not only expensive, but were also imported from Morrowind.
—It's good that the house was free and fully furnished —Edzard celebrated internally. Although it didn't come out literally for free, the price was that she had to stop an assassination attempt against Councilore Morvayn.
Asia just nodded at Edzard's joke. After that, Edzard took her to the ground floor, where she could see a large corridor where there were several doors. Edzard began to tell him where each door led, The first on the right hand was the kitchen and the dining room, the first on the left hand was a small library, the second on the right hand was a warehouse, the second on the left hand It was an armory, the third on the right hand was the bedroom that would now be hers, the third on the left hand was the bathroom and finally the room at the end of the hall was Edzard's bedroom.
—Asia, you go to the bathroom first.
—But, I don't have clothes to change —Asia was sad to remember her suitcase. In it she had all her garments and there was also her bible.
At the moment of hearing that, Edzard finally remembered that the girl did not bring any backpack or bag with belongings. Edzard then walked over to a wall and started bumping his head for not remembering something so important. This action took Asia by surprise, she tried to stop him, only for him to lift a hand from her and stop her.
—Okay, it's over —Edzard said as he regained his composure and stopped banging himself against the wall—. I'll give you some clothes so you can wear them while you wash your own clothes.
Asia upon hearing that just nodded and went to the bathroom to take a bath. Upon reaching the bathroom, Asia saw that the room was spacious. It had a stone floor and there was a large pool in the center of it, which was covered by polished white stone. This pool had two water taps at the back. One had blue eyes and the other red. Asia turned on the red-eyed faucet and was surprised that hot water came out, then she realized that the blue-eyed one should be cold water. She let the pool fill a bit and then turned off the hot water tap to turn on the other and let it fill. She was about to undress when she heard a knock on the door.
—Asia, I'll leave your clothes here —Edzard said, as he put the clothes on a bench near the door.
—That's fine thanks.
Hearing Asia's response, Edzard headed towards the stable, as he must have taken off her guard's armor.
The moment Asia heard Edzard leave, she opened the door and saw some blue garments on a bench. Taking them and examining them, she realized that they were the same types of clothing that the locals wore, namely a tunic and pants. Asia took the clothes and went into the bathroom, where she undressed and went to the pool. Once inside the pool, Asia sat down and let the hot water wash away her problems while she pondered.
«Ah… this feels good, I'm really lucky Edzard allowed me to stay with him. Miss Cindiri told me that Edzard is a kind person, and so far, he has been right. Maybe it is God's doing that I found someone like him, right after being excommunicated from the church » thought Asia while she was still submerged in the pool of hot water.
Recalling her excommunication from her church, Asia felt sad, for she had literally dedicated much of her life to her, only to be expelled from her for curing a devil. However, she would never deny her faith. This was just one more test of God to her.
When she finished reflecting on her past, Asia decided to finish her bath. When leaving her, she put on the clothes that Edzard had left her, even he had left her a pair of intimate garments, which were very similar to a pink bikini. Asia blushed at the thought of where Edzard had gotten them from. When she finished dressing, she left the bathroom to let Edzard know that the bathroom was now available.
—Edzard!" I've just finished! The bathroom is free! —Asia yelled as she was in the hallway.
—Okay, I'm going in in a bit! —Edzard yelled from upstairs—. You can go into the warehouse to bring some vegetables and meat to the kitchen to make dinner!
—It's fine!
Then Asia headed towards the warehouse. Upon entering she was astonished to see that the shelves inside were full of products, there were potatoes, carrots, tomatoes. There were also meats that were kept preserved in salt and what appeared to be smoked foods. Thinking quickly, she decided to have a few potatoes, carrots, and some meat. After that she headed towards the kitchen.
Upon entering, she realized that this room was also large, in addition to having a stove in the center, which on the right side had a small table to chop and cut the food to be prepared. There was also an oven in the back-left corner and on the right side was a table with six chairs. Asia left the vegetables and meat on the table and from a drawer at the bottom of this she took out a knife and began to peel the vegetables, then began to cut them next to the meat, so absorbed was she in her task that she did not hear that Edzard was approaching.
—Asia, I'm done —Edzard spoke from the door—. Let me help you.
Hearing Edzard speak, Asia turned to answer him, and when she turned and saw him she dropped the knife that she was carrying in surprise.
There in front of her and without her armor was Edzard. He wore a tight black sleeveless shirt, a pair of black cloth pants, and black leather boots with straps of the same color in an X-shaped pattern. Asia could feel his cheeks heat up, for unlike the elves she had met, Edzard was fully human and judging from his appearance he was only slightly older than her. Edzard has slightly long black hair. His eyes were of a different color, the left was gray and the right was green, in addition to having the pupil slit like a reptile. His face is angular with no sign of childish fat. He is also tall for someone her age, as he was four inches tall for her. He has a light skin tone. Due to his tight shirt you could see that he has a slim but toned body. Besides that, in a small part of his arms there were scars.
—You know, you should close your mouth or flies could get in —Edzard joked when he saw that Asia's mouth was open from the shock of seeing him without her armor.
—E… E… E… Edzard! —Asia yelled in shock.
—In the flesh —Edzard replied to Asia's cry with a smile on his face.
—You are human? —Asked Asia, a little calmer.
—Of course, I'm human, or you see me tail, horns, and wings —Edzard said with a smile. Although he had the soul and blood of a dragon, his body was human, more exactly half Nordic and half Breton.
Hearing Edzard speak like this, Asia blushed as she looked away. Noticing this Edzard smiled a little, so he decided to take another knife from the table and began to help prepare the food. Because the two of them worked together to finish dinner, it was prepared very quickly. When she finished cooking the stew, Asia took two plates and brought them to the table. Meanwhile Edzard took two cups and filled them with lavender tea that he had prepared earlier.
They both sat side by side at the table. Dinner passed silently and when they finished eating, Edzard decided to have a much-needed conversation with Asia.
—Asia, we need to talk.
However, Asia didn't stop looking at her tea, didn't even pay attention to it. In her mind there were many questions that she wanted answered, so while she sighed she took her crucifix in hand and steeled herself she decided to ask.
—Edzard, where am I now?
Edzard raised an eyebrow at Asia's question.
«Well, this makes things a little easier for me» Edzard sighed as he thought, before taking a sip of her tea «I already guessed about its past and where it came from, I just need a few small bits of information and I should be able to understand what's going on here»
—Well, I'll answer your question, but first answer me something —Edzard spoke seriously—. Tell me the words: Nirm, Tamriel, Skyrim, Mundus, Aedra, Daedra, Dovahkiin, Thalmor, can you relate them to something specific?
Asia was thoughtful for a while, trying to understand Edzard's question. It is true that she now she had the information on how to speak the language of this area. Although it would be better to say languages to be precise, because in her mind apart from the Tamil language, there was also some language that she did not understand, they were just random words without any meaning. Edzard's words had no meaning to her.
—No, I don't know what they mean.
—I see, that just seems to corroborate my theories —Edzard spoke seriously—. I'll be direct, Asia, you are in another world.
—Another world ?! —Asia yelled as she got up from her chair, incredulous at what she was hearing.
—Yes, another world. This world is called Nirm and the continent where we are is called Tamriel —Edzard replied as he looked at Asia, which was beginning to hyperventilate at the news.
—Drink the tea, it will help you calm down.
—How are you so sure this is another world?
«It seems that he is in denial; however, the quickest way to make her understand the situation is if I show her a strong proof, but what would be a good proof» thought Edzard, and so while she was thinking she came up with something unorthodox.
—The first proof is that you spoke a language that I don't recognize, and believe me when I tell you that I know many languages, more than you think —Edzard said—. But I have a simple question for you, how many moons are there in the sky?
Yes, that was Edzard's great idea. While it is true that the possibility that the world Asia came from had more than one moon was very high, it was also possible that it only had one and it is even very possible that there is none. He had decided not to ask if there were two sun, because if so, Asia would have mentioned it long ago. If there are differences, then that is a very strong proof.
—There is only one moon —Asia quickly answered the question.
Hearing that answer, Edzard just sighed and got up from his chair. Getting ready to leave, he motioned for Asia to follow him, which she did. Edzard led Asia out of the house.
Night had already fallen, so Edzard pointed his finger skyward. Asia looked where Edzard was pointing and she froze. There in the sky where there should be only one white moon now there were two moons. The largest moon was red and the smallest was white.
Asia put her hands to her mouth and began to cry when she understood the truth, Edzard had not lied to her. She was no longer on earth, she was in another world. A world completely unknown to her.
While Asia cried, Edzard only saw her. It was strange, many magicians and scholars would kill to be in this situation. That is, many would be happy, because they would have the opportunity to obtain knowledge that was not of this world. However, he wasn't happy or anything like that, just seeing someone like Asia cry like that just squeezed his heart. Then Edzard decided to hug her, while he tried to calm her down and let her cry on her shoulder.
When Asia had calmed down enough, Edzard headed into the dining room, where he poured more cups of tea. He then he came back out of her and sat with her on a stone outside the mansion. So, he decided to start telling her everything about this world. He told her about the races that inhabited Nirm, the gods, the countries. He also told her about how he had become a hero, but he also kept some things secret. Asia on the part of him told her about his world. She told him how she was her, about her features, she also told him how she was a nun, who was excommunicated and how she had ended up in the place where Edzard had saved her from the ashespawn.
When you finish listening to the story of Asia. Edzard was very tempted to go into that world and kill all the members of the church. But he decided not to, as he saw that his new friend did not have a bit of a grudge against them. And if he did the massacre he was planning in her mind, she would only be saddened.
—Asia, I know we have known each other very recently, but I promise you that I will find a way to return you to your world —Edzard said very seriously as he looked into her eyes and took her hands in his, surprising Asia a lot.
—Seriously, thank you very much Edzard —Asia's voice was very happy—. However, I don't understand, why are you helping me so much?
—Why? Tell me, I need a reason to help a friend —Edzard replied with a smile.
The moment she heard Edzard call her friend of hers, Asia began to sob. The moment Edzard realized this he tried to calm her down, because he did not understand why she was crying now. Maybe he had been too quick to say they were friends.
—No, Edzard, you're just the first person to tell me he's my friend —Asia replied as she wiped away her tears and hugged him tightly.
Feeling that he was being held and the reason why Asia was crying, Edzard fortified his desire to help her return to her world, but he also promised himself that until that moment comes, he would make her live a good life here in Tamriel, surrounded by many friends. So, he returned her hug too. Staying like this for a while, before breaking away and staring at the sky and stars as they talked late into the night.
However, the couple did not know that they had been observed from a distance by an old man. This old man was dressed in a white robe with red and gold trim. He had hair and beard the same color as polished gold. His eyes were also golden in color and shone like stars. He also had scales the same golden color as the sun and on his head he also has two black horns. This old man only smiled at the scene and then disappeared dissolving into particles of golden light.
