33. I will be taking this story down

Hey everyone,

Right to the point. As i think about dipping my toe back into writing fanfic for the worlds and characters I love, this is a story that has been nagging at the back of my mind for quite sometime.

I wrote 'A Friend In the Dark' years ago, when I was still a teenager. I'm a real grown up now and looking back on this story, I am no longer comfortable with the way I handled some of the more sensitive topics within it. My teenage self did her best, but grown up me would do it better.

I am making no promises for a future re write, but I will be preserving this work for myself, and if this is one of your favourite stories, feel free to preserve it somehow for your own use.

On August 1st 2021 I will be removing this work from my accounts both on and archive of our own. I hope you can respect my decision, and I once again to preserve this story for yourself if you so desire. But of course, I ask you not to repost it.

I want writing to be a part of my life again, and I hope to return to uploading here and on ao3 sooner rather than later.
