Chapter 2
Mewtwo finally was starting to remember his conversations with the one who called him son and he called father and continued to improve his memory of the conversations over the last 3 years. He started to try and open his eyes but the liquid he was suspended in prevented much sight beyond blurs. He knew that the one his father called his superior was finally fed up with waiting and on his way to collect him. His father told him of the plan to adhere to until his superior arrives and the plan, to Mewtwo, was completely gut wrenching but he needed to play along with what he wanted him to do to throw off the superior. Father never told him the name of his superior but said as soon as he arrives, Mewtwo would know him by the Persian that stayed by his side.
When the clock chimed, he knew it was time to start the plan. He let loose the power he felt inside and slowly the cylinder cracks making the people outside it start to run around the lab frantically until the glass burst into a thousand shards making the liquid go everywhere and soon he was on the bottom of the cylinder opening his eyes up for the first time outside of the liquid showing off a brilliant shade of amethyst purple surrounded by violet rings of color. "Everyone be quiet!" Doctor Fuji yelled over the scrambling scientists and stood in front of Mewtwo. "Let us here its psychic powers!"
Mewtwo looked at Doctor Fuji recognizing the voice of the one who made him feel wanted and safe knowing that he had to play dumb so that the other scientists wouldn't report a betrayal to the superior. "Psychic powers?" He questioned aloud his deep almost soothing voice echoing off the walls in the lab.
"Yes. For years we have tried to successfully create a Pokémon through cloning and after all these years we have succeeded!"
"Clone?"
"Yes!" Doctor Fuji pointed out a fabric mural that held a carving of a small cat like Pokémon with a long tail that had a bulbous end to Mewtwo. "That is Mew the most powerful Pokémon."
"Mew?" Mewtwo said. "That is my creator?"
"No. We humans created you to be greater than Mew. We enhanced your DNA to be more powerful that any Pokémon in the world."
"So I was made to be a humans entertainment? A copy of a powerful Pokémon and only a result of human ingenuity? An experiment who has no purpose?"
"Oh the experiment is just beginning! The testing will really begin now that you are awake!" As soon as the other scientists started to shake hands Doctor Fuji looked at Mewtwo and nodded very subtlety before turning away.
"I was made only to be used as a humans plaything?" Mewtwo said aloud causing the scientists to back away as he started to be surrounded by a purple aura and his eyes glowing brightly signifying his use of psychic abilities. "This cannot be my destiny!" He yelled and his powers exploded outwards destroying almost everything in its wake. Mewtwo looked around the destroyed lab frantically though he soon spotted what he was searching for and floated over to the one person he trusted.
Doctor Fuji looked up at Mewtwo in peaceful silence before trying to move only to be struck by a huge amount of pain in his side. He looked down and saw a piece of metal imbedded deep into his side and looked back at Mewtwo as he kneeled gently at his side. "Mewtwo," he said gently. "You need to finish what I told you to do. I know I said we would do this together but it seems as though the plans are changing."
"Father," Mewtwo said. "I cannot just leave you here. This place will erupt into nothing but flames taking you with it if I do not take you away from here." He reached down to try and survey the wound damage but a hand was lain on top of his own paw making him look up at Doctor Fuji.
Doctor Fuji smiled gently at Mewtwo. "My time is done here my son. I need to correct all of what I have done by destroying it." He laughed softly. "I also look forward to see my beloved family once more while watching over you. Remember what I said to do when my superior comes Mewtwo?" He asked looking into Mewtwo's eyes.
"Yes father." Mewtwo said gently as he felt the life starting to leave his dear father figure. "I am to learn how to use my powers with him but leave once I have control."
"That is right my son. Now go before the final explosion." Mewtwo looked sadly at his father figure before nodding and floating upwards out of the building as Doctor Fuji said, "We dreamed about creating the worlds strongest Pokémon. And we succeeded." With that last word, the rest of the building exploded and only fire and ripped metal were left.
Mewtwo slowly floated down and stood on a piece of shrapnel and felt his emotions start to calm down as he felt the presence of a human and a Pokémon behind him so pretending he was still confused with everything he said, "Who am I? What is my purpose? Is this my power? Am I truly the most powerful Pokémon in the world?"
"You are surely the strongest Pokémon but there is another being that is strong as well." The male voice behind him said.
Mewtwo turned and saw a middle aged human man with black hair, piercing coal black eyes, tan skin, an orange suit on, and a smirk on his face standing there and by his side was a elegant cream colored cat Pokémon with a red jewel on the middle of its forehead. Mewtwo immediately narrowed his eyes and knew this was the superior his father was warning him about. "Humans." He said to the mans statement.
"The fools in this lab thought you an experiment but I," the man smirked wider. "I see you as a valuable partner."
"A partner?"
"With your psychic powers and my intelligence, we can rule the world. You need to have control otherwise this type of destruction will happen once more and like a wildfire they will destroy everything in their path but I can help you control them so that you can use them to maximum capability."
Mewtwo eyed the human knowing as soon as he agreed he would need to start plans to escape his clutches. "Show me." He said confidently.
"Very well." The man turned and walked to a helicopter that was safely away from the wreckage of the building and climbed aboard with Mewtwo close behind. Once on, he felt the helicopter take off and sat in the seat that was across from the man.
"What is your name?" Mewtwo asked.
"I am Giavonni. I am the Veridian Gym Leader and Boss of the criminal organization Team Rocket." The man, Giavonni, said.
Mewtwo stared at him for a while before looking to watch out the door of the helicopter. It seemed like an eternity before land started to become visible and as it did, he noticed it was landing in some type of darkened garage. As it powered down Giavonni exited the chopper with the Persian following loyally by his side. Mewtwo hesitated only a second before he too followed Giavonni to another room adjourning the basement and noticed the emptiness it had apart from a platform from above and a floor platform with metal surrounding it. "This is where you dwell?" Mewtwo asked in an almost sarcastic tone.
"It is for now Mewtwo." Giavonni said as he waved his hand towards the small floor platform. "Please step onto the platform and we will start the training process of controlling your psychic powers."
Mewtwo did as asked and almost immediately the metal surrounding the platform attached to his form turning into armor that almost completely covered his body. He felt his power almost dwindle away to nothing. "You claim to be able to help me control my powers yet this armor is suppressing them away from my use."
"The are not being suppressed but focused. Learn to use them with that armor on and soon there is nothing you cannot do."
Over the course of a year Mewtwo soon found himself battling trainers, wild Pokémon, other rocket members, and even battling his own self as he felt control over his powers grow and knew today would determine the escape or not. As he stood on the platform where the machine holding his powers was wired in and charging, Giavonni walked in on the top platform and looked down at him. "What is my purpose?" He asked aloud knowing Giavonni could hear him.
"Your purpose is to serve your master." Giavonni said haughtily. "To serve me and no one else."
"You said we were partners." Mewtwo said with true anger. "We were to stand as equals! Side by side!"
"You were created by humans to obey humans!" Giavonni countered. "You could never be our equal!"
Mewtwo knew that Giavonni was evil, he knew that he wasn't a friend, he knew all that but when he said those words, his anger exploded. "This cannot be! This cannot be my destiny!" All at once, his powers exploded out once more this time through the armor and, as Giavonni ran away, the building exploded and Mewtwo flew out of the dust cloud, armor falling off piece by piece. He flew and flew until he reached New Island and the final piece of armor, the helmet, was thrown to the ground. "I was not made by Pokémon. I was created by my father to be the most powerful but now, I need to see if all humans and Pokémon are worth saving! I will build an empire of my own and hold a tournament that will test trainers and their Pokémon. If they fail then nobody will be safe from me."
…
Albus sighed as he rubbed his forehead in complete dismay while he sat at his desk. Over the past 6 years there had been no sign of young Harry Potter and no matter how hard he tried, nothing seemed to track down the young boy. He was sent letters by Chief Rodgers but the Uncle and Aunt adamantly denied killing the boy but did not deny charges of neglect. They were sentenced to 25 years to life under the charges of child endangerment, child neglect, child abuse, and the intent to kill an innocent. Albus was at the final trial and stood on the stand himself to describe his own relationship to the family and what's all he found inside the house when he was there. The jury and judge seemed to turn green at the events described in detail by all the officers and took a recess before the final decision.
The reaction of the two convicted once the verdict came back guilty was a scene to behold and he held on to that memory in a special little bottle for when Harry was found. He put the bottle with the stuffed deer that was sent to him in a special chest with a preservation spell on it so that nothing would disturb them until Harry got hold of them. McGonagall ranted and raved at him for the first 3 years about him failing at protecting his charge but calmed down to just avoiding him except for teacher conferences.
He knew that next year would be the year that letters would be sent out and he spelled the quill that did them to send the letter directly to him before being sent out by mail. He knew what he did was highly frowned upon but he was down to last resorts to find his charge and he didn't want to fail him again. As he sat in his office, a beautiful red bird with amber eyes and wings tipped with gold crooned a soothing tone knowing that unless Albus asked him personally to take him exactly where the young boy was then he couldn't help with the search either. As he watched his dear friend tear himself apart piece by piece, he felt a calling of a world begging for him to go there but he knew he had to wait until Albus asked him for help.
He just had to wait.
…
6 months later
Mewtwo looked at the large exquisite laboratory with a gymnasium that he had built from the office high above the building and then looked at the woman dressed in a red Victorian style dress, a dark red bonnet in a nun type of style, her skin pale, her blue eyes with the purple out glow in them showed she was under his control that he had taken along with a Pokémon from the sea that had orange scales, cream colored belly, 2 small orange wings with a dark blue interior color, a spike on its head in between two antennae, it was 7 foot 3 inches tall, two arms with three claws on the end of each, and two feet with three claws at the ends as well. This Pokémon went by the name of dragonite and he was asked by Mewtwo to deliver letters to trainers all around the world to come to a tournament held by the strongest Pokémon Master to prove their worth once they arrived. "After you deliver the letters you are free to go your own way Dragonite." Mewtwo said. "The storm I will be making will make it almost impossible for you to return but the time we had together has been most delightful." The dragonite nodded in respect and while he had liked staying with the odd Pokémon, he knew he needed to get back to his family before they really started to worry about him. He strapped on the little side saddle and took off leaving Mewtwo and the woman alone.
"Master," the woman said with a monotone voice. "Is it wise to create a storm just around the island?" Mewtwo looked at the woman and turned away sending the signal to her of wanting to be left alone in his office. "Yes Master." And she walked away.
Mewtwo sighed in the large office he had and sat in the chair that overlooked the ocean. He wished he hadn't been forced to take the woman from that Pokémon center but he needed the knowledge she had on Pokémon in order to recreate the cloning lab his father use to have. When he dug through the rubble he was able to find important recorded tapes and documents that were sealed in a safe that was in the ground that'd scribed the cloning process in detail so he was able to create the labs and all the correct facilities needed for his own lab. He was brought to tears when he found personalized tapes during the times his father talked to him while he was still in the incubation cylinder but the one he cherished was the one where he was still a human boy and first met Doctor Fuji. In his office he kept them all safe and determined that only the one that truly proves worthy will view the tapes. It would be the final test and the determining factor to see if the humans with the original Pokémon are worth all this trouble.
He raised his three digit left paw that was aglow with aura and waved it in a circle watching carefully as clouds slowly collected into a circular motion getting more and more grey and dark until it was a stabilized hurricane that only surrounded the island but kept the island itself dry and out of the winds since it was in the eye. He made the storm large enough for the coasts to feel it but not powerful enough to harm the structures or wildlife too badly. As he lowered his paw, he assessed the storm for a few more minutes before watching the monitor where a camera he set up on a flying Pokémon named Fearrow was recording the trainers that were selected for the tournament. He watched the monitor closely as the trainers battled other trainers, looking at the battle tactics, the closeness to their Pokémon, and the attitudes of both trainer and Pokémon after the battles. He watched the individual battles for five days just studying each one with a careful eye only sleeping when needed.
One trainer caught his immediate attention and as he looked he noticed it was the last trainer he had invited to the tournament after lots of consideration. He was hesitant to invite this trainer because of all the tournaments he had lost but the woman who he had taken from the Pokémon center informed him of the videos of all his tournament battles and he admitted that the kid had guts and courage. He needed to see a battle from the kid when he was on his own just to make sure he matched the criteria he searched for in the trainers and caught a battle between him and a gym leader by pure luck on live television thanks to a mishap of some Team Rocket members.
As he watched the trainer battle he found that his style, while unorthodox and rash, almost always had him winning his battles and the way he celebrated with his Pokémon and even the rival trainers afterwards was admirable. As the battle concluded he turned away from the screen to face the window once more, spotting trainers toughing out the storm to get to the island and called for the woman once more. "Yes Master?" She asked upon her arrival in the office.
"Make sure to be ready to greet the trainers at the dock." He said. "I need them all in the main banquet hall is that understood?"
"Yes Master." The woman bowed slightly and left to do what he had tasked her to do.
As Mewtwo waited on the upper floor, he had walked to the twin spiral stairs that connected the banquet hall to the tower looking down taking note that that very few trainers made it along with two who looked more like they were there to support the last trainer who had arrived. As the woman started to introduce him to the other trainers he took up position in between the two stairs and descended just as she said, "You are about to meet the greatest Pokémon Master in the world. My Master," he levitated quickly down the middle of the stairs turning on the light for the middle of the stairs quickly and just as he landed his feet on the ground he heard all the exclamations and disbelief in their voices. "Yes, that is correct." The woman continued. "The worlds greatest Pokémon Master is also the worlds strongest Pokémon. Mewtwo."
"Mewtwo?" the trainers all murmured together.
"A Pokémon can't be a Pokémon trainer!" Yelled out a well built boy with fingerless gloves, a light blue tank top, dark blue shorts, a necklace with a bone tooth hanging from it, brown hair, pale skin, and brown eyes glaring into his own with a scowl.
"Silence human."Mewtwo said at the same time as the woman causing gasps to erupt from a couple of trainers. "I make the rules from now on."
"How's it speaking?" Questioned a young girl with red hair in a side ponytail, yellow short shirt on with short overalls, a red bag on her back, pale skin, and crystal blue eyes. In her arms was a cream colored Pokémon that looked like it was half hatched, the shell having red and blue triangle designs over it, its feet poking out the bottom of the shell with its stubby arms sticking out the side, and its pronged shaped round head sticking out the top.
"It's psychic." Said a dark skinned tall male with dark almost black spiked up hair, squinty eyes that looked closed with brows that seemed to constantly bee in the scouting position, he had a orange shirt on with a green tank safari jacket over it, long brown pants on, and a blue backpack on his back.
Mewtwo deemed them unimportant as they had none of their Pokémon out and grasped the trainer who had yelled at him with psychic tossing him safely into the water fountain where a bunch of water Pokémon resided in. Apparently the kid couldn't take a hint and immediately rose out of the water yelling out, "We'll show you! Go Gyarados!" The large blue scaled snake like sea serpent with a cream scaled underbelly with cream scale patterns on the sides, a turquoise trident on top of its head between its red scowling eyes, four three pronged fins down its back, its tail fin was lined with blue scales along the side and clear skin attached to it, its ear fins were small but looked similar to its tail, and its gaping wide mouth outlines with cream colored scales had four sharp teeth two on the top and two on the bottom with a pair of blue antennae on either side of its mouth, and it and its trainer crawled out of the water. "Hyper Beam attack!"
Mewtwo watched as a bright ball of energy collected from the Gyarados' mouth and shot out towards him but he blocked it and quickly reflected it back at the Gyarados who fell back into the water fountain. "Child's play." He said with the woman before turning his attention solely onto her. "Your usefulness has come to an end." He waved his right arm cancelling the hypnosis he had cast on the woman and watched as she stumbled forward before falling forward only to get caught by the dark skinned male.
When her headdress fell off revealing pink hair twisted into two hooped pigtails, the male exclaimed, "Nurse Joy! Thank goodness you're alright."
Mewtwo watched carefully for he knew for things were about to heat up as soon as he explained what will be happening.
