Goku: Alien World

Goku had managed to drag both broken Saiyans to the cave that she had awoken in. In the following hours her body had recovered just enough to walk around but it came as a great labor. Limping and out of breath, her task finished, all Goku could think was to eat something. Raiding the rations stock in the back of the cave had the warrior feeling rested and relaxed.

Being consumed with her eating, Goku had turned her back on the unconscious pair. With her focus drawn, Goku jumped at the touch of a hand on her shoulder.

"I need answers, woman" The old Saiyan had untransformed from his primal state, and Goku look in disbelief at the face of Vegeta. His hair was grayed and his upper body scarred from years of battle. His face covered in a long raggedy beard that left only his scowl to be seen.

"Vegeta…?" She stood to face him "This is crazy, you're so old!" The lighthearted Saiyan not knowing what to make of this encounter.

"I have no memory of this place, or of you." He pointed into Goku's chest pushing her back, "and yet here I am, meeting you twice in a day."

"So, let me get this straight, you are from the future?" Goku scratched her head in confusion, "if you are then what are you doing here?"

"Woman! Do not avoid my questions with your idiocy, I must have answers. What time is this and who are you to change the past such as this?" Old man Vegeta barked his questions. He grabbed Goku's shoulders and sat her down, "You're just a child, but you've got to understand that I need answers! I do not know where I am."

"Well gee, I've never met someone from the future before but maybe Vegeta has? All I know is I was trying to get back to Earth from Yardrat when that girl attacked me." Goku scratched her head again, her brow furled as she looked between the old Vegeta and the still unconscious young Vegeta.

"Yardrat? That's planet Kakarot learned that stupid instant transmission he used against Cell," He chuckled, "Earth? You're an Earthling? Even on their best day those old, bald, chumps never could have deflected a blast like you just did." Vegeta just crossed his arms, obviously amused at the thought of humans.

"Bald old guys? Like Master Roshi?" Goku jumped up, "Did you go back to Earth and fight them?" Goku felt a twinge of anger at the thought, why did her future self not stop Vegeta if that was the case?"

"I would never waste my time fighting a weakling like that, only Kakarot saw value in training against a weaker opponent." At the mention of her Saiyan name Goku became even more puzzled and Vegeta let out an audible sigh. The old man sat against the cave wall looking deep in thought.

"Ever since he left with that dragon the Earth has not been the same. The boys no longer fight and even my own daughter wants nothing to do with my training." He swung back his fist into the rock wall cracking it in the process. "The last of my kind."

Goku felt a wave of sadness and understanding wash over her. "You live on Earth? Were we friends in your future?"

Vegeta looked up from his day dream with an intense glare. "I do not know you; I never met any woman in space like you."

Goku gestured to her body trying to jog his memory, "It's me, I'm Goku."

The two began to discuss what was, in both time periods. Goku's change at the mistaken wish and her encounter with the duplicate Goku shocked the old Prince. Vegete went on to explain his life; it had been ten years since the 'shadow dragon incident'.

The Kakarot of Vegeta's time had never been changed into a woman, yet he had been changed into a child many years in the future. Another mistaken wish from the former emperor Pilaf led to the adventure of the black star balls and then the Tuffle invasion. After the discovery of Super Saiyan 4 and the defeat of the return of Android 17, whatever that meant, the gang faced one final threat.

The Shadow Dragons had resulted from the corruption of Earth's wishes and sought to cover the universe in negative energy. Kakarot and Vegeta had fought to the last breath but in the end the entire galaxy had to help by giving one final Spirit Bomb. Once the Dragons had been dealt with Goku left with the real Shenron, and as one final wish restored Earth and its citizens to take care of themselves. Now, so much later with his wife passed and his children living their own lives, Vegeta served as a guardian for a planet with no real threats.

He shared minor details of the few threats that had come and been dealt with, but it was obvious with Goku and the dragon balls gone there was almost nothing to live for. Until a few days ago Vegeta had not even fought another person in two years. Some portal had opened on Earth, a being of pure evil caused destruction not seen in years and then vanished.

Vegeta had to track down his daughter Bulla to even understand an old time machine. In Bulla's mind it was just an old fool running after one final battle, but this was different, one more threat that Vegeta could be the one to defeat.

A while past before the pair said anything again, Goku had a lot on her mind that she did not quite understand, and her body still hurt. Eventually the young Vegeta did wake up, and immediately started complaining.

"Kakarot, you oaf, if you could put up a fight that whole time why were you unconscious!" He sat up, but winced at the pain from his broken arm.

The old Vegeta reached into his pocket and retrieved a pouch. "Take this, both of you. We have to get to Earth." Out of the bag came two beans and he tossed one to each of the young warriors.

Young Vegeta ate the senzu with a confused expression, glaring at Goku. "What the hell is even going on here?"
