Oh...hey.

I got an idea for another Dragon Ball crossover fanfic featuring Goku...yay. It is inspired by a fellow author's story which features a Saiyan OC "Monkey-Boy: Teiguless Monster" or...maybe I got that title wrong. I don't know, my WiFi's still down and that doesn't help...at all. Also, umm...it's inspired by a reader fanfic in Wattpad–I know, I know, it's stupid. So err, umm...enjoy then and let me know your thoughts in the review section. Thanks and...err, enjoy. Again.

Prelude:

"The Son of the Gods"

When one is far away from any civilized places filled with people such as villages and towns, it could mean that person has dislikes for socializing or people in general. For this particular man, he lived far away from the mainland in an island because prefers the comfort of loneliness and the seclusion of the mountains where he is safe from the tyranny of the corrupted Empire.

However, the main reason he lived in the mountains, away from civilization and from the corrupted Empire is at the request of his deceased wife. To find redemption and live his life without imprisoning himself by the cause of his wife's death, away from revenge. He didn't want to stay in any villages because those villages are destined to fall one day; the men will mostly be killed, women are kidnapped to be sold as sex slaves in brothels and children are to be raised as weapons of war. He couldn't bear to see it, he didn't want to experience the same thing as what happened to his wife.

Mark Braves wouldn't be able to control himself once it happens again, his wife's wise words will fell on deaf ears.

Mark is a strong man capable of holding his own even at the faces of SS-Class Danger Beasts which was why he was able to live in these mountains where Danger Beasts might've infested it without much concern for his safety. He even entered the Rebels to fight off the Imperials, also used to be enlisted in Imperials in the past. But now, he is a traitor to both sides because of his insubordination and lived his life far away where neither could find him. Perhaps this is his punishment, bearing the death of his wife and live far away from isolation? For killing innocents when he first joined the Imperials? Or choosing a wrong side?

He didn't know.

He didn't want to know.

What he do know is that he's here at his wife's last request.

Live a life away from torment, not bounded by his surroundings, find a redemption.

To be honest, it wasn't an easy request. Hell, it isn't even hard as it could be described as impossible. What he did, what he had done, what he saw and what he experiences...all of that cannot be reversed nor could he heal from. It is a large scar in his memories–no matter what happen, it will always stay there forever etched in his mind to be remembered, regret and despaired. Yet, the more days he spend dully in the mountains away from people, the further that scar went into the distance. Hours, days, weeks, months and years.

And one day, he had moved pass it.

Mark actually was able to move on.

It wasn't actually impossible.

It was impossible because his mind perceived it to be.

But none of that matters anymore, he continue live in his dull days of wake up, exercising, eat and sleep over and over again. Rinse and repeat, the process is stale but it was never repetitive. He was...content with the new life he had taken on, so to say the least. He didn't know if he had come to like it, or got accustomed but all that matters is that he didn't find any displeasure in living the way he is right now. But is he happy with it?

Mark slowly opened his eyes, seeing the same ceiling. "Ugh..." He groaned and then sat up, rubbing the back of his head as his gaze drifted over to his side on the table which had a painting of him and his wife done by a very talented artist. It was very pricy, but it was worth it. "Another day for me."

He maneuvered over to the edge of the bed and stood up, stretching his topless body, flexing his muscles as he made his way outside. The house he had was made by himself and it is self-explanatory with its small size and shabby structure. He went over to the edge of the cliff, taking off his pants and any cover of his body. In his birthday suit, he looks below and saw a waterfall gently flowing down on a large lake which is where he got his breakfast from and his morning bath. He took an inhale and dramatically let his body fall off from the cliff.

He positioned himself vertically with his hands side by side in front forming as he dived into the lake, causing no large splashes. Silence ensued the lake, living only up to the nature to serenade the surroundings. That silence followed as Mark's head appeared from the lake ascending from the water while he walks up onto the land. Grabbing by his hand over his shoulder was a tail of a large Danger Beast that took in a form of a fish, one that had served as his food for a very long time along with other unlucky animals or Danger Beasts. He calmly climbed out of the lake with water dripping down from his body, showing no shame at exposing his defining trait as a man.

He cooked the fish over a large campfire, rolling it with his hands while still being naked before eating it. After having his breakfast, it was time to exercise. One of them being climbing the mountain up to where he fell down using only his one finger on each hand even without his leg supporting it. He successfully climbed on top where he first stripped down and wore his underwear and pants on, feeling his body didn't get rusty even after years of no fighting. He looked at the sky, seeing the sun had considerably risen up in the sky before he entered back into the small hut.

Mark quickly wore clothes perfect for exploring and went down the mountains into a forest where he usually picks up fruits to be eaten as a mouth wash or desserts. He ate various fruits in different forms, even berries from bushes which are usually poisonous but Mark had developed a resistant to it and earned the iron stomach attribute. He ate it to build up his resistance as poison and other vary negative effects are common tool used by assassins in case someone one day try to kill him using such methods even though no one could come into island. Mark dismissed it as his old habits and old habits die hard. He continue to eat before he jumps off to the branches, using it to maneuver around before doing sit ups and pulls ups without stopping; another one of his exercises.

The days passed by as the hours were mostly filled with Mark working out before night falls and predators are out. Mark had a bear-like Danger Beast as dinner today and enjoyed its gummy yet undeniably delicious meat before he went back to the hut. Entering inside, he lit up a campfire that dimly light up the room in orange. The silence was very comfortable, the lack of anything to be aware of aside from Danger Beasts was good as well. He took off his attire and wore the same pants he used earlier before he went into bed topless, his muscles aches a bit from all the things he done before he stares at the sky through the window beside his bed, counting the stars to sleep.

It was another day, nothing else happen aside from the usual stuff. This was his every day until he dies...

Or so he thought.

"Hm?" Mark's eyes narrowed forming a frown at a strange event happening in the skies, "Is...is that star moving?" He asked himself as he continued to stare at one star in the color of blue moving very slowly. "And why is it getting bigger?"

No doubt, the star was getting bigger and bigger. Not just that, it was also moving even more slowly but the movement can still be noticed. He continue watching before he heard a subtle flaming sound that sounded weird compare to normal ones. The sound was getting louder by the minute and when it reaches to the point even Mark had to sit up, he witness the star passing by his home. A few seconds of silence passed and he heard something crash into the distance.

His eyes widen, "A star has fallen...?" He quickly changes his outfit to a suitable one and made his way where he could see a beacon of smoke in the distance. "What could it be?" He stared at it and then to the sky, "Has one of the Gods died?"

He shook his head, questions for later. Now, he needs to investigate what was that had fallen and ensure it would be of no threat to him or the nature. Once he arrived, he sees a white circular object in the middle of a crater, smokes came out from beneath it due to the flame it caught during its fall.

Slowly, Mark approached it while he kept his guard up at anything that may attack him. However, what came shortly after was the white circular object opening up in a very peculiar way, the opening had red-purple round glass on it. It caught him by surprise as he flinched before he regained his composure and walk to the front, seeing that whatever it was had opened up revealing its content. Just as he was about to see what it was, he could hear cries akin to a baby.

His eyes widened at the cry and immediately went to check what's inside only to find a baby that already has long spiky hair pointing in every direction akin to that of a palm tree crying. His eyes further widen and mouth was open agape, a baby was inside the circular object. He gulped and then grabbed the baby's sides, holding him tight enough to carry him up. However, once he carries the baby up, he was shocked again once a tail sprouted from the baby's back as it dangles down.

Mark stared at the child curiously, the baby stopped crying and stared back. "What...could you be?" He asked and of course, the baby didn't respond. It merely responded by giving a scowl and kick him right on his chin, surprising him with the child's absurd strength. "...oh, that actually hurt a bit." He sighed, rubbing his chin before he stares at the skies. "Is this child belong to the Gods?" He wondered, "Sent down to repair something in this world?" His mind went back to the corrupted Empire that continued to plague the nations around it. "Of course, it must be."

The stars had been revered as Gods back from where he came from. The Gods in the skies oversees their creation on this world and Mark came to a conclusion that the Gods had sent down a child to fix or preferably destroy the Empire, corrected what was once a peaceful nation. For the first in a very long time, a smile crept to his face. Was it actually him smiling or was it fate smiling upon him?

He stared at the scowling child, chuckling. "The Son of the Gods, huh?" He thought for a second before a name popped up, "Son, as in a male child in the language of the Engression and Goku, a plural word for Gods in Nihalesse...Son Goku." Mark nodded, already found a perfect name for the child. "Son Goku, the Son of the Gods. Fits you perfectly."

Fate smiled not only on Mark but also for the world. Fates for certain people will change, events that unfold will be different and the endgame will be also change for the better. The presence of one person in the world will change everything as a butterfly flaps its wings causing hurricanes and tornadoes to appear in other parts of the world. This is a story of where a child raised to save the Empire and the people from corruption of sins that had possessed a lot of nobles.

A story where Son Goku discover the world at its worse.

The Butterfly Effect.

Prelude End:

"The Son of the Gods"

Huh...that ended.

Cool.

I'm thinking of a good pairing or love triangle between Goku, Akame and Esdeath since well, Goku is innocent and naïve. Having an innocent smile is Goku's simplest traits. In the manga, Tatsumi married Mine and even had a child as the ending is different from the anime so I could make that happen in this fanfic. If not those two then Leone is an option since Saiyans DO like strong women. To the twisted sick bastards (like me), Seryu is another option as well. It'll be interesting and entertaining to write both with their chemistry, interactions, relationship progress and clash of ideals. It's also the same with Esdeath, tragic love is also interesting...

As it stands, I'm still thinking of an original idea of pairing or no pairing at all.

So err, did you enjoy it? Please do leave a review and let me know. A follow and a fav is also appreciated along with constructive criticism and stupid flames.

See ya on the next chapter,

Till we meet again.
