#Prologue
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
Oh no... Come on.. Five... more minutes, please..
"Izuku!"
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
I'm not... ready.. So... tired..
"Sweetie! Get up, please! Breakfast is almost ready!"
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Need... more... sleep..
"Son! It's time to wake up! You don't want to be late for your first day of school, now do you?"
Beep! Beep!
..Damn it..
Bee- *slam*
"Thank you!"
"Mmm.."
And thus begins the day Izuku had been dreading for some time now..
His first day... at a new, AMERICAN high school.
So, as he pulled himself to sit up on his bed, he let out a heavy and drawn out yawn whilst stretching his arms up over his head, his fingers intertwined. With an audible crack, Izuku tiredly groaned as a wave of relief washed over his back, ridding of a kink that had now been previously bothering his spine. Taking a moment to let the rest of his body awake, Izuku glanced around at his room to take in the features that had become familiar to him throughout the last week.
His room to his family's new American home was nothing sophisticated in the slightest, just average at best really. The walls were painted a typical creamy white shade, his single's bed was up against a corner that was across from the doorway, a black wooden nightstand stationed directly beside him where it held his now broken alarm clock, a lamp, and a framed photo. He winced at the wrecked condition of his poor clock, mentally scolding himself for not having better control over his strength when he "turned it off." Oh man, he's going to be in for it if either of his parents were to ever discover it..
Dah well.
"I could always get another one later on. Not like it's the end of the world." Izuku whispered, shrugging off the incident as he brushed the clock and it's pieces down into the nightstand drawer, closing said drawer after getting the plug in there. Once good to go, he threw his blanket off of him before lightly swinging his legs over the side, then standing once his feet touched the floor and giving his toes a wiggle. Now, if any eyes other than his own were to take a peek into his bedroom, they'd be greeted to the sight of Izuku's rather impressive physique. Which was no doubt visible through the dark green tank top and black shorts he wore.
While he is a bit on the slim side, the young Midoriya possessed a tight lean body structure. His muscles and features being toned to compliment his build wonderfully. While it may not look like much in the eyes of an avid visitor of the gym, there was much more to this particular green-haired teen beneath the surface of his person.
But, more on that later!
As much as Izuku didn't wish to get out of bed this morning, seeing as he looked like he had barely gotten a lick of sleep last night due to his... stressful situation, he knew that he had no say in the matter. He deeply sighed as he begrudgingly accepted his fate and pushed himself to get ready for the day.
Due to his Father recently getting a new job here in Metropolis, the Midoriya family were new residents of the vast city as of last week, having gotten themselves a decent three bedroom apartment home in the midst of the city. The whole move had caught Izuku entirely by surprise, as when it was brought up that they would be moving to America over a month back, which was about halfway across the freaking planet from Musutafu, he wasn't all that pleased as his old man didn't even have the decency to talk to them about it first before making such a life changing decision. Another thing that perplexed him to no end was his Mother's reaction as she was absolutely ecstatic about the "lovely surprise", as she so gladly called it. Meanwhile, with his baby sister being... well, a baby, she simply went about the development with a chipper smile and a heartwarming giggle. Okay, her adorable reaction he was cool with. But everything else, was just... difficult for him to fathom. Yeah, he'll adjust given time, he knows he will. But for the time being, he feels that he has the right to not like it.
To vanquish any and all stiffness that remained, Izuku huffed before proceeding to do a quick session of full body stretches, getting his mind out of the gutter with light slaps to his freckled cheeks. What followed was a brief workout that consisted of push-ups, sits-ups, squats, and one of his personal favorite exercises, a minute of mountain climbers. By the end, he hardly even broke a sweat, but did feel his body become more loose and relaxed. Though, he was still kind of tired.
Knock! Knock!
As he arose back to a stand, Izuku perked up upon hearing someone knock on his door, and with him being decent enough, he granted whomever it was access.
"It's open." He said, making his way to his dresser to fish out his clothes for the day. Not wearing a school uniform was something else that Izuku needed to get used to, as Metropolis High was a public school and didn't require such garments to be worn amongst its students.
Entering his room was his Father, Hisashi, a man of middle age who had short dark hair, green eyes and a tall stature. Professionally dressed for his own first day, but on the job, he wore a black three piece suit, a white dress shirt and a pair of black oxford shoes.
"Good morning there, son." With a smile, Hisashi greeted as he stood by the door with his hand on the knob, his other hand buried in his pant pocket as he stood with a proper posture.
"Oh, Hey Dad.. What's up?" Izuku lowly responded as he didn't face his Father, suddenly looking a bit sour.
Hisashi cringed slightly as he noticed. 'I guess he still isn't quite happy with me..' He thought with a frown, not liking the idea that things are going to be tense between them for a while now, but he can understand that.. However, that wouldn't stop him from being the loving Father he's always been. "Oh, nothing much. Your Mother just wanted me to come see what's taking you. I mean, you know how she gets when we risk letting our food go cold." He chuckled.
Izuku continued to look unamused as he moved to set his clothes on the bed before bringing his hands to the hem of his tank. "Sorry, I just got finished with a little workout. Tell her I'll be there after I finish changing." He then took his top off and dropped it on the bed, waiting for his Dad to leave before he took off the rest.
Hisashi wasn't fazed by his son's undress as he's always been aware of his fit form, which was thanks to one of his best friends back in Japan who always 'motivated' him to exercise with her. "All right, I'll tell her." Hisashi nodded, about to step out while closing the door behind him, but stopped midway through just to peer back in. "Oh, and son?" He called.
"Yeah?" Izuku glanced over his shoulder.
"Um... Well, since we haven't taken the time for you to learn the route to school, I was wondering if you'd like to learn it while I... drive you there?" Sounding awkward and uncertain of Izuku's reaction to his question, Hisashi remained hopeful as he waited for an answer. With his way to work cutting through Metropolis High, he thought why not kill two birds with one stone; get to work while also trying to bond with his boy.
Izuku narrowed his eyes as he went in thought. Hisashi wasn't wrong as it's true that he hadn't learned the way to his school since moving in, as they've been pretty busy with unpacking and settling in. While he preferred to get around quickly using his own... unique form of transportation, he would most likely just get lost along the way. Plus, while he wasn't on the greatest of terms with his Dad at the moment, he still loved him. So to see that hopeful gleam in his old man's eyes, Izuku sighed in defeat as he finally flashed Hisashi a small smile. "Sure, Dad. I'd... I'd appreciate that."
Hisashi felt his heart swell with joy, but remained composed as he cleared his throat and smiled once more, nodding in acknowledgement. "That's great." He breathed in relief, glad that not all hope was lost. "Okay then, I'll uh.. see you at the table." With that, Hisashi gave Izuku his privacy and quietly shut the door after drawing himself back.
Izuku ran a hand through his messy locks, looking annoyed. Not at his Dad, but at himself as he really didn't like these feelings of slight contempt dwelling within him. He wanted to be happy for his Dad for this new gig of his, really he did, as it was a pretty big deal to him. But because of the move, he had to leave so much behind. That being his awesome group of friends, his best/childhood friend, and his... duty to his city. God, he doesn't know if he'll ever get over how heart wrenching the farewell party for him was. So much tears were shed and tight hugs were given. He's really going to miss them all. Yeah, they've been keeping in touch via Discord, but it'll just never be the same as actually hanging out with them in person. As for his 'duty,' only one concern was coming to mind..
Who'd be there to protect the innocents of Musutafu?
"Forgive me, everyone.." Izuku muttered to himself, clenching his fists to the point of shaking as he tried to fight off the wicked feeling of guilt. Ultimately, he relaxed as he didn't have time to stress about it now. He'd done all he could with the time he had..
Today's attire for Izuku consisted of a short-sleeved blue sweater over a white tee, dark colored jeans and white socks. After he was dressed, Izuku was looking through his bag to ensure he had everything he needed, his hands digging on in there.
"All right, notebooks, check. Binder, check. Pencils, pens and eraser, check. And..." He grinned as this last important item had him feeling mighty excited, enough that he had forgotten all about his earlier worries. "costume, check."
With everything he needed for school and... other things... ready in his school bag, he zipped it up before throwing it around to his back, latching the straps firmly onto his shoulders. He was about to exit his room but stopped after he opened his door. "Oops, almost forgot." With a smirk, Izuku looked over to his desk that was by another corner of his room, spotting his phone and wallet sitting together atop of it. He raised his left hand up to the level of his chest, pointing his thumb, index and pinky finger outwards. Then, as he pressed his remaining fingers against the center of his palm...
Thwip!
A small line of what looked to be... web? shot out from his wrist, the end hitting and grabbing onto his essential belongings. And with a 'light' pull of his hand, both his phone and wallet suddenly came flying swiftly towards him, courtesy of the webbing. He caught the items by his face with ease and tore the webbing off, hiding said webbing in his sweater pocket for him to throw out later. Since his webs dissolved into nothingness after about an hour, he didn't have to worry about leaving a mess for long.
Now that he had everything he needed, Izuku left his room, gently shutting the door behind him and making his way to the kitchen.
While he may not know what the future holds for him as of today, one can bet that he'll always face any problem he comes across with his head held high. It's funny though, for life is about to become a whole lot interesting for Izuku in many ways.. And it all starts with his first steps towards Metropolis High School.
I may not be able to protect Musutafu anymore.. At least, for now. But, that doesn't mean I should stop being who I am deep down.
A hero..
And no matter what comes my way and puts me down, I will always... ALWAYS... rise back up.
For nothing... can keep The Amazing Spider-Man down forever!
A/N: Now, surely you all have questions. And I will get to them... once the next chapter comes out. XD So for now, gonna leave y'all wondering.
I couldn't help myself, after reading a few good MHAxSHG fics, I just had to throw my hat in the ring and make one of my own, but taking it in a completely different direction. I had to especially now that I've come to love SHG as of recently, thanks to these fics actually. They motivated me to check it out, and I absolutely adore it a lot. XD It's a fun and cute little series. As for the fics that inspired me to make this, please, I implore you to go give each of them a read if you haven't already. First, there's Shadows Joestar's Superhero Girls and Deku Academia, awsomerebel55's DC Superhero Girls: Plus Ultra, and Reaction Writer's DC Hero Academia. They're all great and fun stories, and I'm sure you won't regret it. I didn't in the slightest. XD
And seeing as this is me we're talking about, Harem list time~!
The Harem!
- Batgirl/Barbara Gordon ( God, I love this girl's energy and personality! It's so bloody infectious to me! XD )
- Wonder Woman/Diana Prince
- Supergirl/Kara Danvers
- Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern
- Karen Beecher/Bumblebee
- Zee Zatara/Zatanna
I'm sure it goes without saying that Batgirl is best girl for me. XD Now, this isn't going to be the final list as I still have some ideas that I'm sorting out. So, yup, look forward to more girls joining! And since some characters from Marvel will be making an appearance throughout the story... Have fun guessing. ;)
All right, that's all I gotta say for now. Thanks for reading! And I hope that you guys at least somewhat enjoyed this prologue and will follow along!
