hey hey ! I had this idea running around in my head and I really wanted to try it out ! (Trust me before I did at least 50 others went into the darkest pit of hell in my mind)
But I will be working differently this time, I'll make objections so I do not end up forgetting about Prohibited Power my other fic which reached 1000 followers yeahhhhhh!
So... let's say, if this first chapter reaches 50 followers and / or 50 favourites I will second chapter, if it doesn't... I will still make another but I will focus on Prohibited Power.
Also make sure to leave me some reviews !
I talked with Victini1412 my beta reader, they are currently graduating (Great job my friend !) So I will not ask them to spend some time on this fic ^^ (they are not a robot) so if anyone feels like they are up to the task, they are more than welcome to send me a PM so we can discuss the job offer.
Have a great time !
UPDATE : I found a beta ! And !

IS
HERE !
*INSERT SMASH ULTIMATE CHARACTER INTRODUCTION BACKGROUND*
Legomasterlord: A new beta reader has arrived on scene… I'm back!
"I-I'm here!"
The place was cold and silent, no sound came from the outside and probably no sound would get out from this place.
The package he had been carrying was heavier than the one from last week, what was inside? As far as he knew pain killers.
Izuku had been carrying pain killers, that's all he was told, that was all he needed to know, all he should know.
There had been no extra shipment this week, it was fine this way... he really didn't like coming here but he had no choice, Izuku really needed that money and he wasn't going to complain, his employer, he would even go as far as calling him his benefactor, was VERY generous.
No response came, it was the first time he had been instructed to bring the package directly inside the building instead of dropping it in front of the door. Now he was clueless, what was he supposed to do? Drop the package on the ground and leave? Find whoever was his client and leave immediately after giving him?
The first option sounded preferable.
"You arrived sooner than I expected, come over here I need your help, just be careful to not trip on anything." Izuku froze, this would be the second option then, he couldn't run away now, he held the package slightly tighter against his torso and made his way toward the voice.
The room was dark, Izuku didn't see anything special in the ground until a large quantity of cables appeared at his feets, coloured, opaque, tangled together in a chaotic way. Then there was another source of light, multiple sources in fact, screens, a wall of screens.
News channels, documentaries, empty screens with "audio only" being displayed in a corner, it wasn't really a surprise, It had been clear that Izuku had been offered a questionably legal job. Deeper into the room the screens were lighting what resembled a big chair ... with someone sitting on it.
"I was literally dying to know who this dear Kurogiri engaged as my delivery man, and-" The voice was getting closer from Izuku... or was he the one getting close? His attention was locked in it's direction, the man laughed, "I admit it, you have the right profile."
Izuku stopped walking, about three meters separated him from the man, hesitantly he showed the package to who he assumed to be his client "H-Here, this-this is what I was tasked to bring" he looked away as he talked, Izuku felt safer if he didn't know how his employer looked like.
And yet the noise was even closer now... did he move? Izuku didn't hear him make any movement, he was too scared to look in his direction "How is your mother doing? Better I hope, or else you would be doing all of this for nothing."
Ah yes... his mother, Inko, the reason he got caught in this affair, most people would not be able to understand what kind of events brought Izuku on the path.
Two months ago.
The last semester had just started, Izuku wasn't even trying to finish the year, he was the best student of his classes and if he had to pass the end of year exams now he would ace it without any sort of trouble. Middle school was hell though, who would like to be forced to spend their days in a place where they constantly feel unsafe?
Again most people would think Izuku was paranoid, and this was technically true since he always expected that the closest individual near him might suddenly get the brilliant idea to "have fun" with him.
The thing is, Izuku is quirkless, and he will always be.
About twenty percent of the population is quirkless in Izuku's world, it means that twenty percent of the population doesn't possess an ability known as a quirk. To keep it simple a quirk is literally a super power, the ability to fly, breath fire, to teleport ...
Now you might say "But then Izuku isn't alone... right ?"
Izuku never met anyone quirkless during his whole life, twenty percent looks like a huge number right? It would mean at least five people in his class also don't have a quirk. But Izuku had to face the truth, probably less than 0.1 % of the population still didn't have a quirk.
He was part of the 0.1% of the population which had been unlucky enough to be born weak in a cruel world.
Izuku was not always alone, he used to have a friend named Katsuki Bakugo.
...
Until he was four years old.
His quirk never manifested while Katsuki obtained a very powerful quirk, explosion, the ability to trigger explosions with his own sweat, from this point Katsuki wasn't the best friend anyone could dream of, he became violent, megalomaniac, rude, brutal ...
And Izuku had been stupid enough to keep believing this human trash was still his friend for the next seven years. Katsuki was the perfect cliche of the bully, he was popular, rich, strong, and he always had at least two goons following him like his personal guard.
It's not like Izuku had not tried to avoid him, his ex-boyfriend was deliberately hunting him, before classes, during classes, after classes.
But let's not linger on this subject, you are here for a sad story right? Here is the worse part, since most people in this world have super powers of course the profession of super hero exists. You could see at least four professional heroes in one day just by walking in the streets or watching the television for a brief instant, this way of life had become what most people would call "normality".
Yet normality had taken a different meaning over the years, the transition had not been that simple, at first people were hated because they were different, and today not being normal means that you will never be able to succeed in your life.
Now here is a funny joke.
Izuku desperately wants to be a hero... have you laughed yet? He can't, deep inside him Izuku knows he cannot be a hero without a quirk, yet he believes, he prays that someone will tell him he can, even if he has to work harder than anyone else.
This is probably the other reason why everyone likes so much to hurt him for their own pleasure.
Not even his parents believe in him... "his parents" means his mother and his father who went to '"work" overseas when he was very young, his grandparents never existed as far as Izuku knew and he had never heard about any potential relative in his family.
He lived alone with his mother in the tiny apartment his mother could pay with the money "his father" was sending every month, Izuku had always been curious about this money. One time he asked his mother if he could send a letter to his father, the answer he received wasn't conclusive.
He clearly remembers what his mother said. "He is always on the run... I don't think he will get it, I'm sorry."
Izuku never had any contact with his father, he didn't even know what he looked like but he didn't dare to ask his mother for a photo, it would probably, quote and quote, "be on the run" too.
He really started to pay more attention to the money his mother received when Izuku heard her gasp, the postman had brought the awaited monthly reward, or at least this is probably what Inko had just picked up in front of the door. Worried about his mother, Izuku rushed to the door and asked if she was fine.
She took a second to turn around, she was smiling. "It's alright, I almost tripped on something that's all," but her face was wrong, she was lying and her eyes were red, if she didn't cry before Inko was definitely about to once Izuku wasn't around.
Later that day while Izuku was working in his bedroom he heard something hitting the ground, something heavy. He wasn't omniscient yet he knew that something terrible happened, he went to the kitchen and there he found Inko, lying lifeless on the ground, barely breathing.
He was about to call the police, and ambulance, anyone willing to save his mother.
And then a white object laying on a table in the living room caught his eyes, the letter supposedly containing the money, opened. Despite the emergency Izuku slowed down and went to take a look.
Ten thousand yen, and nothing else...
It all made sense, his mother's reaction, why she was in this state... This letter meant that their life was about to change forever, now they were alone. And things escalated quickly in his mind, do not hold it against him, this society turned him into a sociopath.
If his mother was brought into a hospital they would never be able to pay...
If his mother died he would be alone...
What will happen once he is alone?
Izuku went back into the kitchen, trying to chase these ideas from his head. His mother's breath returned to normal, yet she was still unconscious. He brought her in her bedroom and made sure she received a lot of fresh air.
...
No more money, in this world money still made a lot of sense strangely enough.
His father was gone, no one would help him, especially not Mitsuki Bakugo, Inko's closest "friend". Izuku was on his own now... So he elaborated a plan to keep his mother safe.
The next day his mother was still unconscious, so without her consent he wrote a false letter, imitating his mother's signature, announcing that he was departing from Aldara Junior High, Izuku would need a lot of free time. And then he created accounts on various websites and forums for employment.
Sounds simple right? But remember, Izuku is quirkless, he is under age, and it's not that easy to find a job, especially one with a pay large enough to keep him and his mother comfortable.
So he ended up slightly lying about his age... he thought to himself that no one would notice two years of difference, then Izuku waited, he ended up receiving notices from most of the websites that his profiles had been deleted but he was never informed about the reason yet he could guess...
Aldera never tried to get in contact with Inko or Izuku, he was gone and they were fine with it, end of the story. Not even Mitsku tried to stay informed about her "friend" state.
Inko woke up at some point during the following week, but she was still unconscious, just staring at the ceiling without any sort of reaction to her surroundings. It made Izuku sick to see his mother in such a state... What was wrong with her? Why was all of this happening to him?
At the end of the fifth day he was about to give up, it was almost midnight and Izuku kept receiving alerts about deleted profiles or refusals. His vision became blurry because of the tears.
Until finally something different popped up on his computer.
"Good morning/Good evening, I'm happy to say your profile is exactly what my employer has been looking for, he needs to hire someone who can deliver various things around the place you live in. However I have to warn you, do not expect this to be a long term job, it could last for a week or it could last for two years if you see what I mean. Also my employer would prefer to keep this sort of activity to a low profile, do not worry it is nothing illegal, just medicine, mostly pain killers but the amounts aren't technically legal. That's why my employer wants to stay under the radar, you won't be in trouble if you get caught, my employer will take full responsibility for any incident during your work period.
If you are interested answer back to this address-"
Izuku did not take the time to read the rest of the mail, his prayers had been answered, he discussed a bit with the person who contacted him, they were called Kurogiri, just Kurogiri.
Apparently they were in a hurry, they asked Izuku if he could meet with them the next day, he accepted immediately.
"...Are you still with me?" Izuku snapped out of his flashback, unconsciously his head had rotated toward his employer, he was now staring straight at a black skull made out of metal
"Y-yes I-" He didn't notice the black skull part until a few second had passed, and yet in any other kind of situation Izuku would have yelled, now he just couldn't find the strength to do so and he deep inside him he was glad he managed to keep his mouth shut.
"Good, I was asking about your mother." The man was very tall now that he was standing up, Izuku was more than twice smaller than him, the man walked in front of the wall of screens.
"Sh-she is fine but-... how do you know about her?" Had he been spying on her? Izuku was trapped deeper than he thought, his family wasn't safe.
"I sent Kurogiri to check on a few things about you, your family in general, your school, friends... you are just perfect, my dear Izuku you have absolutely no social life!" The man turned around and raised his hands in the air to make what looked like a congratulation pose... or perhaps it was just supposed to be ironic.
"Th-... thank you? I guess," this wasn't supposed to be an insult of course but a compliment yet Izuku couldn't envision how he was possibly able to enjoy comments about his lack of a "normal" life.
"Hahaha... trust me, it's for your own good. Kurogiri made a short report, your mother is sick?"
Izuku rubbed the back of his head with his free hand "Not exactly but- yes she isn't feeling well."
"And yet she did not consult any doctor, so here is my guess, she cannot because she doesn't have enough money, but it does explain why you are here... unless of course she asked you to find a solution or you decided to do that on your own. Of course this doesn't work, your mother would never let you do this kind of work" the man made a "dramatic" pause to see if he had caught Izuku's attention "Now to complete my theory I have to know... in what kind of state is your mother at this time ?"
Izuku couldn't cry now, he would not. "She... she is conscious but-... I don't even know if she can still hear me, she collapsed in the kitchen and then-"
"That's enough, if you cry here I'm firing you." He was joking, judging by the tone he used, however Izuku felt like his employer was actually serious in a way.
"I-I apologise"
"Better... You may refer to me as Sensei, it's simpler that way" The man went straight for the package and took it from Izuku's hand "I really need it now" The package once opened revealed a large plastic bottle filled with a blue liquid with white powder, Sensei brought the bottle at the height of his face but then he remembered Izuku was still here "You can go now, Kurogiri will drop the money at your apartment as always"
"T-thank you," Izuku bowed in a respectful way and quickly left the scary basement of his employer.
If he had his doubts at first now he was certain he wasn't doing anything legal... Yet, perhaps this person wasn't as evil as they looked like. Yes they had a very scary appearance, yes they lived in a basement but they offered him a chance! Now he had more than enough money to take care of his mother and at no point his employer had been trying to abuse him.
What was his name again? ...Sensei. "Odd," Izuku thought to himself as he walked back to his apartment.
A few hours later
"You summoned me Sensei?" Kurogiri was rarely being physically requested by All for One, so this had to be important, very important.
"Yes, tell me... what do you think of Izuku Midoriya, my knew "employee", in fact I would like to know what sort criteria you used to chose him" Sensei's voice was weak, also Kurogiri noticed the now fully empty bottle of painkillers knocked on the floor along with the package... apparently it didn't work as intended this time again.
"Well... the current state of his family is disastrous, he isn't going to any sort of school anymore so he has a lot of free time, no friends, no close relatives... and he is quirkles-" Kurogiri barely had the time to finish when All for One suddenly raised one arm in the air.
"AH! There it is... and why would it be a criteria?"
"...He is a loser, I asked Giran, our informer, to check his profile. Despite all his comrades at school are doing to him he never tried to fight back, not once. Izuku Midoriya is stable and trustworthy, I asked him to deliver the first packages to random location, he had for instruction to never enter or open the packages he was carrying"
"Did he?"
"Not once... he really needs that money, that's also why he won't turn his back on us and even if he does we already know he won't have anywhere to hide."
All for One laughed at the idea that a quirkless teenager could oppose any sort of threat to him sounded hilarious... yet this same idea was soon followed by the memory of his dear brother, the pain also came back.
"Kurogiri make sure to pay our delivery man, and prepare another package for tomorrow."
"Sir you have already consumed a full-"
"You have your orders, why are you still here?"
The barman left without another word, leaving his master alone in front of his wall made out of screens "I need more, I always need mo-" All for One notices something regular with the package, there was something else inside... pills, exactly what he needed. "If I'm sleeping I can't feel the pain." he swallowed a couple of them and waited, it didn't take long enough.
"I'm back mom"' Izuku came to check on Inko as soon as he got inside the apartment, she was still in her bed sitting against the wall looking in front of her slightly downwards. "Sorry, I thought it wouldn't take more time but I was wrong." Izuku made a short pause, perhaps his mother would answer... but she didn't yet he always gave her some time "He-... he is nice, I still don't know what I'm delivering but I'm almost certain it's medicine."
Another pause, nothing... Did her expression soften? No he must have imagined things. "Mister Kurogiri will be dropping my pay later tonight... without him I don't know how I would be able to help you." Izuku sat next to Inko and rested his head against her shoulders, her skin was cold but Izuku could feel her breath.
"...I checked the amounts of money dad has been sending for the last few months... he kept diminishing what he was sending by two." Izuku looked at his mother. "He won't be sending anything now right? It's fine, we don't need him anymore, we never did... but I-I would like-... I want you to heal, I want you back like you were before everything- be-before-..." the teen started crying, he ended laying his head against his mother's legs.
"If only all of this never happened we-"
A hand... a hand against his head, his mother's hand! Izuku immediately stopped crying, instead he was now laughing, laughing out of joy and hope. "You will heal, I promise you will" he hugged her as tenderly as he could.
But they were soon interrupted as Izuku heard someone knocking at the door, he quickly closed the door of Inko's bedroom and went to the front door, he checked by the optical peehole who was standing behind the door, to find... no one?
The teenager was about to open the door thinking it was Kurogiri who dropped his pay and signaled his passage but then he heard a voice right behind him. "I'm already inside," startled by the voice, Izuku forgot to let go of the door knob and managed to break it as he turned around.
The mist man was standing in front of Izuku with his arms crossed behind him "I guess I apologise for the door."
"W-why! That's the most illogical thing to do! W-what were you thinking?!"
"Well I didn't want to stay outside but I didn't want to invade your apartment either so I decided to do a bit of the two, first I knocked to warn you I was here and then I got inside... you are still mad about-"
"I'm gonna have to change it... but it's nothing I suppose, Sensei is paying me more than enough for this kind of thing... a-also talking about him, are here for-"
Kurogiri knew Izuku was talking about his pay, he showed a package made out of folded paper with duct tape that he had been hiding behind him "Here, the usual, but I didn't came here for that, otherwise I would have simply dropped the money outside"
"How can I help?"
Absolutely not the kind of answer the mist man was expecting, "How can I help?" Why did it mean so much? There is one thing he didn't mention back when Sensei had summoned him. Izuku was an otaku, sort of, the teen had his bedroom filled with All Might merchandise and notebooks with notes and drawings about them... now this fact would probably be enough to get him killed.
Why did the teen have to say this ? It sounded too heroic like, "How can I help?" Did he really enjoy delivering suspicious packages to an even more suspicious man? The mist man sighed and started explaining "What you delivered today wasn't enough, we need another shipment for tomorrow, I will send you the coordinates on your phone, now if it isn't done yet you should probably eat something and go get some rest."
"Y-yes... thank you..." Kurogiri dropped the money in the living room and then he vanished. Izuku went to pick up his pay, he flipped his hand through the bills and smiled. The teen walked back inside his mother's bedroom and sat once again next to her "Look! It's all I earned during the last week..."
Izuku hoped that his mother would smile... she didn't, he would even say she looked sad... why?
"Your package is ready, it will be hidden in an alley near Wyzen Ward, it's not that far from your house, if you encounter any problem inform me immediately. Also we have a rogue running around and messing with all he can find, be careful. Deliver it for 6 PM, do not be late. (But I suppose this part won't cause any problem to you)"
Izuku had received the message around 2 AM, Kurogiri never slept apparently. He was curious about the "rogue" part, fishy business meant fishy people, and then fishy people often lead to dangerous people... but everything will go just fine! He would pick up the package, deliver it to Sensei and then he would go home and-... he would go home and wait ...
After taking a shower, dressing up and taking care of his mother, Izuku left his apartment and went to the location indicated by Kurogiri, the package was not too hard to find but Izuku had to admit that the mist man was :
- Either being very cautious about the spot where he would hide the package
- Either playing some sort of Hide and Seek with the teen
- Or even both of the above
It was Friday, at this time Katsuki was probably finishing morning classes at Aldera, Izuku thought about buying something for his lunch but there was way more than enough food at his apartment, he took some precautions in case things would get out of control. Also his mother wouldn't really be able to eat alone...
He tried to make Katsudon using a tutorial he found on the internet, it didn't give any good result but it was consumable at least. Inko was in a different position now, she was laying on her side looking toward a wall. Her face was red and-... Izuku could swear she had been trying... he decided to give her some space and to not disturb her.
The teen thought about finishing his notebooks but he wasn't in the mood for that, he was really in the mood for anything. Being here unable to do anything made him sick... he needed some fresh air.
Izuku went outside for a stroll to clear his mind, before leaving he grabbed a green hoodie that Kurogori had "offered" him. Izuku was very happy as he found this hoodie to be kind of cool, but the mist man added "It hides 70 % of your face... and sometimes a way too recognizable haircut."
He didn't really like it as much as before but it was cool anyway, and it kept him warm. If Izuku was still studying at Aldera at this time he would be spending his last hour of the day... and then he would have to run as fast as he could in order to avoid Katsuki... that would be his plan but eventually he would get stuck in his notebook and then-
Izuku heard a very unusual sound behind him, it was like water broiling, he turned around only to discover that the road behind him had been replaced by an enormous mass of green goo like liquid. The worst part was that the said mass of green good actually laughed.
"You will make a perfect skin suit for me to hide in k-"
The teen ran away, it wasn't the first time he made this kind of encounter. Since he started working for Kurogiri or rather Sensei he was forced to go through all kinds of areas, and most of them were not "safe" to keep it short.
He only had one REAL bad encounter with a man who tried to obtain the package he was carrying at this time, he made a lot of mistakes that day, the first one was to simply think about giving up from the beginning. If he gave up what he was supposed to deliver that day Izuku would probably be looking for another solution to help his mother at this point.
His second mistake was his time of reaction, the teen swore to himself that he would never hesitate again in this kind of situation. If he had ran away as soon as he saw the man then he would have been able to escape without any consequences.
The sludge was faster than Izuku thought, his curiosity forced him to look behind his shoulder once or twice just to get a clear view of the villain's position but also to learn how he was moving.
Now his third mistake... the mistake that earned him his first scar which had not been inflicted by Katuski or one of his "friends", the villain could generate large needles made out of his bones and Izuku didn't pay attention to his quirk, or perhaps not enough attention.
Izuku forgot to use his main weapon... his brain.
"Their body is liquid then it means they can go almost anywhere... unless-"
Izuku recalled that there was a park nearby, but most importantly a canal had been built right next to this park, he had found this villain's weakness.
Water.
Izuku was running out of energy and the villain was gaining on him, the sludge had prepared his ambush, a deserted area and secluded area where no hero would come to help Izuku. However the villain probably didn't expect that his target would manage to run away, if they were naturally faster thanks to their quirk they had obviously not experienced when it came to running after their prey.
Izuku saw a short bridge, the canal, he took a deep breath and jumped in the water with the villain following right behind him, they didn't notice the water, as they were about to reach Izuku the sludge villain notices the water below him.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" They screamed so loudly, according to their tone, water had to be really dangerous for them.
Izuku wasn't safe yet, the current was strong, very strong, the water dragged him away, he missed several time the occasion to get out from the canal and when he finally managed to do so, the teen had spent at least ten minutes in the water, he was cold, and his muscles hurted him.
"Oh no no no! I'm-I'm going to be late!" Izuku almost forgot about the package, and now he was far away from his home, too far away.
He ran across the streets as fast as he could, ignoring the confused looks and the laughs, it didn't matter at the moment. Of course Izuku made sure to not walk back through the area where he had been attacked even if now at this point the villain probably decided to find another hiding spot...
As he reached his apartment, Izuku literally punched himself in the head, what was wrong with him?! He should have reported this to the police he should have called the heroes, he-! But then Izuku's eyes stopped on a clock... he was going to be late. The teen picked up the package and left the apartments as fast as he entered.
He wasn't that far away from Sensei's... house? Home? He could hardly call their basement a home.
"I can not be late, I have to be perfect, if I'm perfect then Kurogori won't think about replacing me and I won't lose my job.i will never be late again, I will even arrive one hour in advance and wait of That's- necessary next time, no this won't happen ag-"
Izuku didn't notice how far he had been running, it felt like one second ago he was barely leaving his apartment and now he was in the middle of a crowd... Why were they all yelling and looking at the same thing? Curiosity caught Izuku's attention, he made his way through the crowd still tightly holding the package in his hands.
Once he managed to get pass the wall of people he saw what was happening, the slime villain standing in the middle of the street, fire and broken glasses everywhere, the street had turned into a battlefield. The heroes that were present couldn't even reach the viallon as for these reasons explosions kept appearing between them.
"Get back! It's dangerous! Kamui what do we do about the hostage?!"
"I don't know, it looks like this thing is using the boys quirk to block us!"
Izuku wasn't sure why he suddenly focused on the hero's conversation... explosion, quirk, hostage, boy, the teen thought this wasn't possible and yet for a brief moment while the smoke cleared Izuku saw his former friend being smothered by the sludge...
"He deserves this-"
How could he think this? ... even if that's true in a way, Izuku couldn't find the strength to witness this scene.
"It's no use," Kamui Wood retreated closer from his colleagues. "We will have to wait until someone else arrives with a better quirk."
The teen glared at the hero, they were just going to wait while someone was being killed right in front of them? By the time they receive reinforcements KATSUKI will be dead and the villain will be gone...
Unacceptable.
Izuku ran across the barrage of the heroes and went straight for the sludge, the explosions weren't even violent he had years of experience to be able to say that. The sludge wasn't even focused on the heroes, just like with Izuku he was trying to make his way into Katsuki's body.
"KID STOP! SOMEONE CATCH HIM!" Yelled Mount Lady.
"Too late, he is lost," added Kamui Wood, but Izuku tried to ignore this last part.
"Give in already! You are just hurting everyone around ... YOU!" The sludge noticed the teen who just stopped at about five meters from him.
Katsuki wasn't struggling anymore, now the villain was focused on Izuku... but the heroes weren't reacting, it was now or never, they could reach the villain they could win! So why were they just standing in place? Izuku had to say something, even if it sounded stupid.
"Re-remember me?!" It sounded terrible, why did he have to try and take a somewhat funny tone.
"I ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF YOU! I WILL SHOW YOU HOW IT FEELS TO BE ON THE VERGE OF DEATH !" The villain let go of Katsuki's body and lunged in Izuku's direction.
"Too late to run, can't count on backup, I need another way out-"
As the sludge fell down toward Izuku, he noticed that the slime was slightly being pushed away by the air .. it seems like an odd detail but it was enough for Izuku to notice that the only "physical" parts in the villains body were his eyes and jaw.
"Can't use a direct attack I need a proje- ... damn it" And of course the only said projectile Izuku had at the moment was the package... if he died now he would never be able to help his mother.
Izuku barely had the time to react at this point but he managed to throw the box at the villain's face (?), successfully making him lose control of his trajectory. The sludge landed on the pavement, but Izuku wasn't paying attention, Katuski was free. That's all that mattered, the teen picked back the package as soon as he could.
"It's not damaged, oh no I'm going to be late!"
"DO NOT IGNORE ME YOU BRAT-" Izuku heard the villain yell behind him, and then there was a powerful blow of wind. The heroes finally decided to act. Izuku had done his part, if he may say, now he only had to hurry to his destination.
"Wait! Kid come back!" The heroes were calling him... why? It's not important, Izuku kept running as fast as he could to Sensei's home, however Izuku felt something grabbing him by his leg, not the sludge, it was solid not liquid.
"WOULD YOU STOP?!" He was lifted in the air by a tentacle made out of wood, it was the pro hero Kamui Wood. "You put yourself in danger for nothing! You could have been killed you idiot! Then the villain would have escaped with another victim! Are you aware I could actually send you to prison right now?"
Scolded, he was being scolded by a pro hero for doing their job... but Izuku was focused on that, he saw Katsuki sitting on the ground with a bunch of pros talking to him, he was fin-
"Your quirk is amazing! You will become a great hero!"
"You did good with that villain kid, he had no chance hahaha!"
He was being praised, why was he the one being praised? He was the victim during the whole event! He did nothing! Absolutely nothing and because of his damned quirk he almost died! The villain was probably not even forcing him to use it, Katuski must have been trying recklessly to use it in order to somehow save himself...
It's not fair.
Kamui violently dropped back Izuku on the ground and left without another word, did he say anything while the teen wasn't listening? Apparently no, he just joined his colleagues to praise Katsuki... Izuku picked up the package once again and left.
...
"It's not fair" he repeated "Why? ...WHY?!" At this point no one would listen, in fact no one would pay attention.
He saved Katsuki, he was the only one who dared to actually risk his life... he did even fully mean to help him, he had no real reason to help him... Katsuki was not a good person, but Izuku was kind enough to help him after everything the explosive teen had done to him.
And even when he wasn't even asking for anything he got scolded, not even some sort of reward, even more free punishment for risking his life.
"Wait kid!" Izuku did pay attention, it was probably Kamui Wood again or another pro hero trying to scold him, instead he accelerated his walk until he ended up running. But the teen did not run too far away, a large figure crashed in front of him, slightly crackling the pavement. "Do not worry I am not here to reprimand you, in fact I would like to apologise for my comrade, he didn't mean to hurt you-"
All Might, the real All might, the symbol of peace standing in front of Izuku, he wasn't wearing his costume though.
"A-A-A-All Might?!" Izuku had lost his breath, it had to be a dream, his idol was standing right in front of him, and when he thought about what he did back then, not only did he save someone without using a quirk or any kind of powerful weapon, Izuku had assisted All Might the symbol of peace himself!
"The one and only! I am All Might! ...but-, tell me aren't you supposed to be in class? I know it's Thursday and you aren't wearing a uniform or- Ah s-sorry I shouldn't be asking this kind of things-"
"N-no I-I finished school early that's that's all- W-wait there-there is something I have to ask you it's very important" Izuku forced himself to speak, even if he ended up miss pronouncing some words, he would probably never have any other chance to ask the one thing he needed to know, or rather the one thing he needed to hear. "F-First th-thank you for coming to apologised but I-I need to know do you-"
Izuku was breathless, it allowed All Might to laugh "Calm down hahaha, I am not in a hurry! If it is so important I can wait a bit to listen, even if it isn't every day you meet the symbol of peace it is not a reason to collapse on the pavement from a lack of air. Breath my boy, breath."
Izuku took the hero's advice and wait a few seconds "Than-Thank you ... so, I-I need to know, d-do you think I can be a hero w-"
"Of course you can! I saw what you did! If I forget the whole dangerous and somehow illegal part of the story, what you did back then was amazing! All it takes to be a hero is the will to help the ones in need no matter where or when, you have to bring them hope, to show them it's going to be alright-"
All Might was gone in an endless speech about what it takes to become a hero, Izuku had given up on finishing his sentence for a moment but he found the strength to finish it.
"Even without a quirk?"
The symbol of peace fell silent "... Look ... Heroes are putting their life on the line, it's not that simple, you always have to give one hundred percent of yourself on the field ... Without a quirk, you put yourself in danger but also the people around you"
No ...
"I'm sorry but-"
Why?...
"I do not think it's possible."
It's not-...
"But you could still join the police, it's not as fashionable as being a pro hero but you would still be fighting for a noble cause."
IT'S NOT FAIR!
Izuku was looking down but-... All Might's shadow was weird, the teen raised his head to see that smoke was coming out from the symbol of peace's body "Already?... I can't stay any longer, you should probably try to reconsider your objective kid, aim for something in your reach." The teen was about to hold back the symbol of peace but he had already made a powerful jump away.
...
Without a word Izuku headed to Sensei's house, he wasn't too far away now, he reached the large metal door and entered without knocking as he was instructed.
"I'm he-" but before he could finish his sentences something liquid covered his mouth.
"DID YOU MISS ME?" the sludge villain! But how? Didn't All Might arrest him earlier? Izuku tried to escape but it was used, now his lower body was completely engulfed in the villain's body "That was so cute! The little quirkless kid who turned this one day in my life into a living hell getting his dreams shattered by the symbol of peace himself while I was escaping. It is just perfect, no one will hear you scream, no one will miss you, I will take your body, you won't need it anyway, you will never become anything in this world."
Izuku cried... this is how everything would end? Killed in a basement by a villain just so they can steal his body?...
"That would be a terrible mistake"
The room became silent, only footsteps getting closer could be heard. "SHOW YOURSELF!" Ordered the villain.
"I would ask you to release my employee. This instant..." It was Sensei's voice but Izuku clearly felt that there was something different, something that would make him puke his own entrails if he could at this very moment. He couldn't clearly describe it but, at this very moment, his employer had a pecan of murderous intentions following behind him.
"Or what? You are gonna call the heroes? Just wait here I'll be finished in a f-" Now the sludge could clearly see Sensei "Y-You are-"
"Yes, I am."
"M-Mercy!"
"Mercy? ...I always give second chances, sometimes even a third one, however-" There was a bright flash of light which filled the whole basement for about three seconds. When the darkness came back, Izuku couldn't see anything yet but he felt that he wasn't restrained anymore "I rarely forget failures," added Sensei.
The sludge villain was gone, simply gone, there wasn't a single trace of him in the room.
"You are a late young man, but I see you brought the package and what's inside, so now..." Sensei grabbed the box on the ground in front of Izuku "How about you tell me about this encounter with All Might?"
Wait wait wait! Go back a few lines before the end of the chapter and insert "I am inevitable"! :D
Hum hum, I mean, things are not looking good...
For the villain.
Not Izuku.
