Life was good in the kingdom of York, the people were happy because of the great harvest they had. A big thanks for that came from their beloved Queen using her mutant storm powers to water the crops, this along with the Spider like outfit she wore when she and the King went to deal with a large monster gave her the mantle 'Spider-Storm'. It been little over two months since the pregnancy new was revealed and it was just like any other day with King Peter sitting in his throne room, to his right sat his Queen, Ororo, while standing to his left was his Royal Captain Felicia who was also his new second wife that was indicated by the silver ring on Felicia's left hand.

It had been a small, quiet and private ceremony with only Ororo, along with former Queen of Wakanda Ramondo, Princess Shuri and the other Spider-Lords and Ladies as witnesses. There was no news of the wedding either because both Peter and Ororo didn't want former Queen Mary Jane to find out yet as punishment for her and T'Challa's affair before the treaty at the Neutral Festival, at any case Peter was ruling his kingdom when a messenger from the city's western gate came in and knelt in front of the King.

"Your Majesty."

"What is it?" Peter asked gesturing for the man to rise, "There are a group of people at the gate, they said their refugees from the Kingdom of Genosha and requested for sanctuary." Peter saw the same surprise expression on Ororo's face as they looked at each other. Genosha was a small country that population was made up mostly of power gifted mutants like Ororo, they lived mostly in peace except there were fanatic groups of humans, even in York, that saw mutants as monsters who had to be put down, they banded together under the name of the Purifiers and began a war against the country.

Many lives were killed, with the few survivors telling horrific stories of what the Purifiers did, most of the other Kingdoms, including York, offered Genosha aid. But King Erik Lensherr or better known as Magneto refuse help, claiming that this was their war and would fight for their rights themselves. Ororo had offered wished she could help since many of her mutant friends known as the X-Knights had to fight theses radicals who didn't have honor, not like Peter who got to his feet. He ordered the horses to be ready before telling the messenger to go back to the gate to let the refugees in, Peter turned to his Queen.

"Need I ask for your company?" He asked holding out his hand that Ororo took as she answered, "Not one bit, let go." And followed closely by Felicia, the King and Queen went to the stables to climb onto their horses Ben and May and ride to the gate. There was around ninety refugees and it were clear that they were mutants because many of them had different colored skins/hair or an added appendix like an extra limb or wings. The clothes they wore was ragged and dirty as if they been living rough, 'Which they probably were.' Peter thought as he climbed off his horse and approached the huddling group, who looked at him with nervousness or fear.

"Don't be afraid, no harm will come to you. I'm King Peter Parker, welcome to York." Peter noticed how thin some of the refugees were, "Felicia, send a message to the nearby shelter and tell them to get started on making food." Felicia nodded as Peter turned back to the group, "You must be hungry, if you follow my Captain she take you to get something to eat. But first I must ask, who's the leader of this group, I wish to speak with them."

For a moment none of the mutants moved, then from them came three people who wore cloaks pulled over to hide their appearance. "You are the ones in charge?" They nodded their hooded heads, Peter was about to ask them to reveal themselves with Ororo stopped him before saying. "Will you please accompany us to talk privately?" The three again nodded and going over to the nearest house, who occupants were watching, asked the owners if they could use their home to talk with their guests.

If she had asked this request when she first came to York, the owners would probably be reluctant to accept her request. But thanks to the love she had earned by the people, they quickly agreed without hesitation and the family vacated as their King, Queen and three visitors went inside to the living room. Peter had a odd feeling that he knew theses three strangers as he was about to go close the blinds, but one of the strangers beat him to it by a wave of a slender hand and with a soft sort of metallic sound the blinds closed by themselves.

"Alright…" Peter said turning to the three, "Now we have privacy, you may remove your cloak." The strangers looked at each other for a moment before the first one blue hands appeared from the cloak to pull off his hood to reveal a man with blueberry colored skin that was contrast to his mess of bright curly blonde hair. As his cloak fell off, from the holes in the red with a blue X vest the man wore, a pair of large metallic wings emerged from the man's back that metal feather looked thin yet razor sharp as any sword and it was clear why he didn't carry one on the red belt holding up his blue trousers. The blue skin and metal wings were a big give away that this man, Warren Worthington, was the X-Knight known as Sir Archangel who looked at the stranger next to him as with fingerless, arm length and dark purple colored glove hands to remove her cloak revealed long, similarly purple, hair falling around the strong facial features of Elizabeth Braddock face.

Better known as Betsy to her friends and the psychic X-Knight Psylocke to her adversaries, the cloak fell off her shoulders to reveal the outfit she wore that started with a skin tight suit in the form of a dark blue armored leotard. Which left her arms and legs bare as it strained against her double D-size breasts slightly exposed by the square shape hole around her upper chest, while it also showed off the sides of her large, curvy ass. She also wore just as skin-tight purple leather arm guards that covered her hands from knuckle to right above her elbows, and purple leather shin guard leggings hugged her luscious legs as they came up to the middle of her mostly bare exposed thighs that was slightly hidden under a purple armored skirt. The exception to the blue and purple colors was a red and black belt around her waist with the belt buckle taking the form of the X symbol of the X-Knights as the belt held Psylocke's katana to her side.

"Betsy." Ororo said stepping forward to hug her friend, who smiled as she hugged back and Peter knew she had sent Ororo a telepathic message to speak privately. He smiled before turning to look at the other person and received a small surprise as she too removed her cloak. She had just an appealing form that was slender and lovely with her simple normal D-size breasts pressing from the black chemise under a green kirtle she wore, but what made her stand out was her long hair that was just as green as the dress and the green headdress crown on her forehead.

Coupled with closing the blinds by pulling on the metal attached rings, Peter immediately knew who this woman was. "Princess Lorna?!" The daughter of King Magneto nodded and bowed her head "King Peter, I'm sorry for the secrecy but what happened recently it was necessary, please let us explain." "A course, please have a seat." Peter said gesturing for everyone to sit down with him and Ororo on one couch facing the Princess and X-Knights, Angel's wings retracting into his back, sitting in the other. Lorna took a deep breath before she began to talk, "As everyone knows my father is fighting a war against the terrorist group known as the Purifiers, who was at just a small nuisance at first and not a big threat. But now their numbers have grown and 'thanks'…"

Lorna said that word with disgust "To their alliance with the group known as 'A.I.M', who gave them advanced weapons of mass destruction, the Purifiers have even the playing field." "How did you get to York?" Ororo asked and for a moment there was silence before Lorna spoke. "I went to a small village near Genosha border to your country, it was mostly filled with survivors from other towns. My father was liking the idea of me going, but I managed to persuade him to go and he agreed as long as Betsy and Warren accompany me." Lorna became silent as Psylocke took over.

"We arrived at the town a few days before the attack, I have to say that those people were pretty scared both physically and emotionally. Lorna being there helped boost their demise spirits that was until the Purifiers attacked, they came from the west with cannon fire to bombard the town. Because of a damn artifact that neutralized our powers in a certain area, there was no way for us to call for help or use powers to fight and that left us two options. Either be slaughtered or to run, since they were blocking any path to Genosha it left us with one direction to go."

"York." Ororo said and Betsy nodded, "We been traveling for almost two weeks, avoiding the towns and villages because we couldn't be sure that there weren't Purifier collaborators among the town folks. The refugees were hesitant about coming here, but we managed to persuade them by telling them that an old member of the X-Knight was now Queen of York. We came here in the hope that you could help us Ororo."

"A course we'll help…" Ororo answered immediately and the two women smiled, though Loren's smile flickered as she said "I'm glad you will help us, but we don't want to inconvenience you guys by filling us your shelters meant for your homeless." Peter had been quietly during the storytelling, thinking and then finally spoke. "You know, speaking of the homeless. Awhile ago in an attempt to give them a home, I had a collection of homes built in a small area for them to live. Unfortunately they preferred either the streets or shelter, the project was almost abandoned but I'm still giving out hope and so the homes are still unoccupied." Seeing her King's line of thinking Ororo smiled "You suggesting that the mutants take up in those houses?"

"Why not, they'll have a proper place to have a good night sleep, won't be an inconvenience and above all it's part of the agreement."

"What agreement?" Warren asked confused as Peter explain, "Well at the last Neutral Festival…" Both Peter and Ororo's lips twitching slightly as they remember what else had happened during that time, "As you know we other rulers offered to give support to your father in his war, he a course refused and said he didn't need our help. Well Magneto may not wanted it but he was going to get it, so we other rulers got together and talked. Though we couldn't lean help your people inside of Genosha, we could help give help outside of it."

"Because of a vision King Strange had, he saw that during the conflict many mutants would be forced to escape from the country and into ours. So the agreement which most of the Kingdoms made, including mine, was that if any mutants came to us asking for help. We would give it and also to make sure that any pursuing Purifiers tried to use a bull crap excuse, saying something like we were hiding foreign criminals and that they weren't are people, we would make them ours."

"Come again?" Lorna questioned unsure what he meant and Peter reached over the coffee table to take her hands as he spoke, "While you and those refugees are here in the country of York, they will be considered as citizens of this land. They will have to a course follow the same rules as everyone else and be charged if they break them, but theses mutants will be both treated fairly, equally and protected by me the King from dangers to the Kingdom like the Purifiers." Lorna's mouth dropped open slightly, so did Betsy as both woman realize what Peter was saying. Who smiled as he gave Lorna's hands a small squeeze before letting go and standing up, "Now how about we give my 'new subjects' the news and show them their new homes, no need for the cloaks." He added as Lorna made to grab her cloak.

"You'll Princess Lorna are a Royal, I know why you were in disgust so you wouldn't draw major attention to the refugees. But they are now safe and so there no need to hide anymore, you are officially a Royal guest of the King and Queen." Ororo was still smiling, a bit amused by the surprise expression on the Royal Princess face. Who probably thought that they would have to rely on the hope of Ororo to persuade her husband to letting them stay, 'He is full of surprises, ain't he?' Betsy asked telepathically to Ororo as they followed Peter and the now non hidden Lorna, who had taken his offer arm, out of the house and walk towards the shelter where her people were. 'He definitely does.' Ororo replied back 'And Peter would've offer you guys aids regardless if I was his Mutant Queen or not.' She added and saw slight shame appear in Betsy's eyes and padded her shoulders to show it was okay.
