A Night to Remember by martins-gurl
Rated PG
This is my first fanfic! I just started watching Without a Trace and I love Martin and Samantha, they are so cute! Please review!!!
Samantha Spade ran a brush through her long blonde hair, her hands shaking nervously. It was her first date with Martin tonight, they were going to a Clay Aiken concert. Martin had managed to get tickets and because he knew that Sam was a fan, he asked her to go along with him.
Neither of them said it was a date but Sam was treating it like one. She double checked her makeup and looked at the clock. Still a few minutes until Martin was supposed to pick her up.
Sam paced nervously until there was a loud knocking on the door. Samantha checked her hair again and then ran to open the door. "Martin!" she exclaimed and smiled.
Martin pulled a huge bouquet of roses from behind his back and handed them to Sam. "For you." he said.
Sam took the roses and sniffed them. "Wow, thanks." she said and rushed off to put them into water. Martin waited by the door, scuffing his shoes on the welcome mat until Samantha came back.
"Ready?"
"Definitely." Sam replied.
Martin had rented a limo and on the drive there, he and Sam shared a bottle of the most expensive champagne. Samantha couldn't believe that Martin could afford all of this! After all, she thought he only made the medium bucks like she did.
They arrived at the concert hall and the limo stopped right in front of the doors. Martin hopped out and then offered his hand to Sam. She stepped out, feeling like a movie star in her long, slinky black dress with five inch heels.
Their seats were really close to the stage and Samantha trembled with anticipation. "Are you cold?" Martin asked and slipped off his jacket.
"No," said Samantha but Martin put his jacket around her shoulders anyway.
A few minutes later, Clay came out on-stage. Samantha screamed and Martin just slung his arm around her. They both sang along with the songs because Martin had stolen Sam's cd and learned the words.
After the concert, Martin decided they'd go out for drinks. So they got back into the limo and had another bottle of champagne on the way to the bar. Samantha couldn't stop smiling. It was like a dream come true.
At the bar, they danced, pretending they were still at the concert. Martin wrapped his arms around Sam and held her close as they swayed.
"Sam..." Martin murmured into Sam's sweet smelling hair.
"Hmmm...." Sam murmured back, running her hands down Martin's back.
"I think I love you." Martin said, pulling back so that Sam could see that his eyes were misty with tears.
Samantha nodded because she was afraid that if she said anything, that she might start crying. Martin kissed her and they continued dancing. It was a night that Samantha would never forget.
