Chapter 1
[Jay]
"Well folks, it's been a long and hard match! Blows were traded, shots were fired, but it's all over in a spectacular finale! And the winner of this match is… Jay, of Nuvema Town!" The announcer shouts aloud, with the spectators cheering in light of my hard-earned victory against the champion.
"And as per Pokemon League rules, Jay will now become the new Champion of the Unova League!" The announcer practically screams into the mic, the roar of the crowd now threatening to drown out everything else.
"Yes!" I shout, my team of Pokemon giving a loud cheer as well. "Well done, young Trainer. That was one hell of a match, I must say!" Alder approaches me, grinning from ear to ear as he holds out his hand for a shake.
"Thanks, Alder. Fighting you was crazy fun." I compliment the old-timer of a champion, who smirks in reply as I shake his hand. "Hah! The feeling's mutual, kid!" He laughs heartily, before looking to the podium to our right.
"Well, what are ya waiting for? Get up there and get your trophy!" The former champion smiles at me, getting me to nod as I run up the steps to claim my prize. As I raise the trophy up high, my elation can't help but rise higher and higher.
"Finally, I'm here. I'm here!" I shout out to the heavens, hardly believing my own eyes at the glorious sight before me. My name, and my Pokemon, emblazoned in the hall of fame!
It took me one hell of a long time, and god knows how many obstacles I broke through to get here. But it was all worth it! I'm finally here, with my name immortalized in legend! People of all kinds will stare in awe at my radiance! I'll-
"Oh, by the way." Alder taps me on the shoulder, getting me to turn back to see him. "Yeah?" I ask, confused as to why he'd interrupt my glorious moment. He opens his mouth, and…
"Beep… Beep… Beep… Beep…"
"...Wait, what's that supposed to-" I don't even get to finish, as everything around me seemingly wavers before melting into darkness. The people are fading, while Alder's face vanishes into nothingness. My world soon turns to black, save for the incessant noise that's seemingly all around me now.
Beep…Beep…Beep…Beep…
What the hell? Is that…my alarm clock?
I'm quickly jerked from my dream, with a groggy scowl on my face. Lifting a fist, I slam it down onto the off switch of the oppressive mechanical menace that dares to rouse me from my slumber. Damn it, I was having such an awesome, yet impossibly staged dream too…!
"Stupid piece of shit, waking me up like that…" I mumble to myself as I sit up and shuffle my tired ass out of my room and towards the bathroom downstairs. Welp, whatever. I'll just have to make that dream into reality.
I waste no time in slipping on my hoodie, as the sudden shift of temperature from my covers to the hallway makes me shiver. Letting out a drawn-out yawn, I make my way down the stairs, passing by a poster that has the three Unova starters on it, of which I promptly ignore due to my tired mind screaming at me to get a cup of coffee.
Moving past the open kitchen area, I pick up a jar of coffee powder and the coffee pot to make that cup of sweet, sweet elixir. What? Don't judge. Coffee does wonders for you later on in the day, and tastes good while doing it.
Moving into the bathroom, it was immediately a mutual decision between myself and my sense of smell to get my teeth cleaned. Fuck, that smells bad. Morning breath always sucks, no matter how hard you try to ignore it.
Sauntering out of the bathroom, the smell of freshly brewed coffee immediately fills my nostrils, causing me to take a deep inhale of the sweet scent around me. The smell of good shit, that is.
"Ah, that's the stuff." That smell never ceases to put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. I take the coffee pot from under the machine, and proceed to take a cup out of the cupboard above my head.
"No, not this one. Nope, that's a Sunday cup… Ah hah! This one." I grin, finding my desired cup and pulling it out of its place among it's liquid holding brethren. It's a white cup, with the words 'Bone Appetit' written in crude permanent marker on it.
A few minutes later, I have a cup of coffee in my hand and two plates of bacon and eggs on the table. Walking up the stairs towards the bedroom of my sibling, I knock on the other door opposite to mine.
"Wake up, Sis! Breakfast isn't going to eat itself, you know. Besides, you know how much of an eye-opening experience waking up is." I call out to my sister, unable to help the cheesy grin worming its way onto my face.
"Brother, for the love of God. It's too early for this..." I hear Yupia groan from the other side of the door, allowing me to imagine the look of irritation on her face. Ah, her reaction to my jokes never gets old.
"Yes, Jay. I'll be there in a minute…" After a yawn, I hear her voice from the other side of the door. She's still trying to fight off her sleepiness, but she'll make it. In response to this, I sigh with a wry smile. And she says I'm lazy half the time…
Speaking of which, why did I even set the alarm clock to… 9 in the morning? I can't help but feel like I'm forgetting something here… Shaking my head, I walk down the stairs towards the open kitchen area, once again passing by the poster on the wall.
"Ah, that thing. Wonder when that happens?" I mumble to myself, glancing over the poster. It shows the three Starter Pokemon of Unova, which includes the cheerfully cute Oshawott doing a victory pose, the cool Snivy crossing its arms and smiling, and the fiery Tepig who is letting loose a series of embers from its nose.
While I finish my coffee, I can't help but think back to the past couple of years. All that studying, all that physical improvement and all those tests we took seem so far behind us now. All for that one chance for us to leave this little town of ours and carve out our own path.
"I wonder which partner I'll choose. Heh, maybe I'll choose Snivy. It looks cool." I chuckle to myself, sipping the last of my coffee. This time, I finally notice the small print underneath the poster.
"Hmm?" I raise an eyebrow mid-sip, looking down at the small block of text. It states quite specifically the date of which the lucky graduates of Trainer School, me and my sister included, receive their first Pokemon partner.
My eyes widen, finally coming to the realization that the early alarm clock was no accident at all. The realization of said situation hits me like a ton of bricks, causing my head to snap towards the clock above the television set. Fuck, we're running late!
"Hey, sis! Get your ass outta bed and get ready! We've gotta get there now!" I scream, wolfing down my plate of breakfast and throwing my coffee cup into the sink.
The door to her room flings open, revealing a white-haired, much-taller than-me sister, rubbing her eyes groggily. "What is it, brother? What are we going to be late for?" Yupia mumbles, looking like she had just arisen from the confines of her bed.
"Damn it, sis! Don't you remember!? The day we get our first Pokemon! The day we start our adventure! That's today!" That information was enough to get her to sprint her way past me and into the bathroom, a look of panic on her face as well.
"Then let us make haste, brother! We don't have a moment to lose!" As she gets ready, I quickly run into my room and slip on my normal attire, most notably my blue zip-up hoodie and my short pants. I then burst out of my bedroom door, carrying my bag of items and my Xtranceiver 2.0.
As I run down the stairs, I notice my sister eating her breakfast in a panicky fashion, although she has already put on her white tank top and red scarf. As I toss her own bag of items towards its owner, she passes me my wallet in a similarly quick notion.
"Thank you, brother!" Yupia quickly waves to me, a grateful smile on her face. "No prob, sis." I reply, before rushing away to find the final items I need. Amid the chaos of an early morning rush, we afford a grateful smile towards the other.
Slipping on our respective bags, we rush out the door, making haste towards the lab of Nuvema Town's local professor, Professor Juniper. Of course, my sister gets a head start because I have to lock the door before we leave.
"Do you think that the professor will still let us choose?" My sister asks me as she sprints, a panicked look still gracing her facial features. "I'm sure… she won't… mind…" I reply between pants.
The professor didn't really mind, per se. It's just that… "Of course I mind you two being late! And to think you two graduated with top honors! You should be ashamed of yourselves."
Meet Professor Juniper. She works with the headmistress of our Trainer School and is also head scientist of her own lab. How she juggles those two things so seamlessly while leading a semi-normal life baffles me. And she REALLY minded us being late, so we got one last lecture for the road. Hooray for us…
"Looks like you two really fucked up this time, didn't you?" That familiar voice, always a source of annoyance and hate. Turning around, I quickly locate the sniveling little 16-year-old bitch of a source that the sound belonged to.
"Hello, Jimmy." The name was spoken through gritted teeth, dripping with enough venom to send Arceus himself to the fiery depths of the Distortion World. I swear, every time I talk to the guy, a small piece of me dies on the inside…
"Don't be like that, Jay. You know you appreciate my presence. A peasant like you should, after all." This piece of shit, unfortunately, was the only person to ever graduate along with me and my sister this year.
Due to his rich-as-fuck family, he has Pokemon fit to challenge any Gym Leader already, stashed away in his belt. Hell, the only reason the little bitch got his Trainer's pass like we did was through cheating and bribery through amounts of cash I could only dream of getting. Damn our easily altered and corrupt education system!
"Well, you need to fuck off before I break your teeth." I glare daggers at him, my voice barely a whisper. Seeing this, my sister quickly pulls me back, away from the rich, snot-nosed brat. "Brother, calm down. He's just not worth the trouble…"
"That's right. Listen to your whore of a sister, Jay." Jimmy decides to rub my supposed weakness in my face, his unyielding smirk looking oh-so-punchable right this moment.
"Now, now, Jimmy. You have no need to insult your fellow students in such a manner. Some of you are excited to get their first Pokemon, after all." Professor Juniper cuts in, saving both our asses from the entitled dickwad.
That should rustle his jimmies. Heh, good one, me. We all know who got in because of skill, and who didn't. Also, I really don't wanna have him getting the last laugh on me.
"Whatever! Let me just get my first Pokemon so I can get out of this lame-ass town." He growls, getting me to look his way with a raised eyebrow.
"Already trying to die? Yeesh, that's some serious die-dication you got there." I deliver the words with a mocking grin, which only serves to make him angrier. Oh look, his fist is curling. As usual, he's going to resort to violence.
"That's it! Time to put you in your place!" Jimmy yells as he tries to punch me in the face. Hah, called it. So predictable, even after all this time. Every Trainer knows they need to change up their tactics sometime.
"Nah." A quick step to the right and a well-placed leg in front of his right foot makes him lose all his balance. He trips over the outstretched limb, unceremoniously flying into the nearest shelf of books and toppling the entire thing over.
Another thing that we picked up in Trainer School: never pick a fight with a Pokemon, no matter what the size. It's either fight or flight, and Pokemon do the fighting. Learning how to dodge is all part of the lessons.
"What? You think I'm just gonna stand there and take it?" I shrug, hands in the pockets of my hoodie. Jimmy says nothing for a bit, face beet red. He recovers quickly though, glaring my way and taking one of the three Pokeballs from the table in the middle of the lab.
"You're gonna regret this, Jay! You hear me!?" He screams as he races out of the lab, shaking his fist and glaring daggers my way. Ah, the joys of dealing with him. He's pretty block-headed, which is pretty exploitable at times.
"Fuck!" Jimmy suddenly yelps as he falls flat on his face, much to my amusement. Judging by the snickers of the two next to me, they're getting a kick out of this, too. After regaining his balance, he takes to glaring at the ground.
"Stupid fucking rock!" He growls, kicking it before continuing to run off. Hah, he totally deserved it. "Have a nice trip, and see ya next fall!" I grin, Yupia groaning as she hears my poor joke again.
"Brother, no! Enough of your tomfoolery!" She sighs, shaking her head as Juniper giggles. The professor and I didn't really converse at all when I first got here, before she discovered that we shared a mutual love of puns.
"Looks like his trip got off to a rocky start, am I right?" If the professor wasn't laughing earlier, she was laughing now. Her smirk quickly turned into full-on giggles of mirth. My sister Yupia however, is less than amused.
"Jay! You have ruined this moment for me with your jokes!" That's her, alright. Always the wet blanket of the group when it comes to puns. Her reactions to my jokes are always priceless, though.
"His jokes really brother you, don't they?" Juniper chimes in, only adding to Yupia's misery. If you didn't already know, the professor likes puns. That one small detail was one of many that made studying under her much easier on me. "Professor, not you too!" My sister cries in despair.
Looking around, I quickly lay eyes on the reason we rushed here in the first place. "Now that he's gone, would you mind if I picked my partner now?" I suggest, now pretty eager to get my starter.
"I agree! The sooner we can set off, the better! I'd rather spend my first night away from home in a comfy room, if you don't mind!" Yupia echoes my sentiments, to which Juniper nods and struts over to the table with two Pokeballs on it.
"One of these Pokemon will be yours to keep, so choose wisely. Once you make a choice, you cannot change it. Understood?" After hearing us reply positively, she tosses the two remaining Pokeballs into the air, the small capsules opening up and revealing their contents: Tepig, the Fire-Type, and Oshawott, the Water-Type.
"You already know what these two can do. So, who will you choose to join you on your journey?" She asks us, the two Pokemon looking our way expectantly. Looking to my sister, I catch her eyes darting from me to the Pokemon, then back to me in rapid succession.
"You choose first, Sis/Brother." I chuckle as I utter these words, already knowing what had transpired. As I expected, Yupia breaks out into a huge grin as she wastes no time darting toward the Pokemon of her choice.
"Tepig shall be mine, then!" Yupia declares, grabbing the little Fire-Type and its Pokeball. As soon as it's lifted up, the Pokemon in question lets out a squeal of surprise and starts struggling. It might be just me, but I feel that the excitement isn't mutual here.
"Well, the choice is obvious, isn't it? I guess I'm choosing Oshawott, then." I smile, pointing at the small sea otter Pokemon standing in front of me. Her voice, sounding oddly feminine, does nothing to hide her shock and disbelief at my choice.
...Well, she's shocked according to my guess, at least. Even if I don't get what she's saying in whatever language Pokemon say, the way she's pointing to herself makes a good enough indication that she's trying to confirm that it's her I'm referring to.
"No, I mean the other white and blue-furred little Oshawott in the room." I joke, getting a few giggles from the professor and a smile from the Water Type. That smile suits it, and it's leagues apart from the uncertain frown she had on a while ago.
"She's never gotten along with any other Trainer as quickly as you before. I'm impressed." Juniper tells me, getting me to raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask the professor, who shakes her head and releases a sigh. "The thing is, most Trainers don't pick Oshawott because they're not really battle-ready." She begins, the Water Type already lowering it's head.
"They're more casual and fun-loving, and nobody wants that in a Pokemon. So, she's been here for quite a while now." She explains, which makes me frown. Seriously? That's the big reason she's still stuck here? Damn, people really do suck sometimes.
"Pokemon aren't just for fighting, they're friends." I speak up, crouching down to look at the Oshawott. Her head has long since lifted, her face now full of hope as she turns her gaze to me. In fact, she looks surprised that I had said any of that to begin with.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting to have fun. Actually, I think being fun-loving is great." I tell her, causing her eyes to widen. She asks me something in a hopeful tone, to which I smile warmly at her.
"Wanna be my friend? You can join me if you'd like." I offer, the Oshawott gasping before she squeals and rushes over to hug my leg. ...And now, I'm sort of wishing I knew what she said. Freaking language barrier!
She cheers happily as she repeats her species name over and over again, Juniper smiling happily at the small Water Type as she watches her express her affections.
"Welp, that's a yes from her." I chuckle, Juniper smiling happily as well. "From what I can tell already, you two are going to get along great." Juniper remarks, a knowing smile on her face.
"Water-ver do you mean, professor? It's not my fault she's already warming up to me like this." Of course, the pun doesn't go unnoticed by Yupia.
"Oh my god, Jay! Why must you be like this!?" My sister groans in exasperation in contrast to my amused expression and Juniper's laughter.
And the Professor isn't the only one laughing along. The Oshawott is also laughing too, clutching her sides as she giggles. "Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week." I bow to the small audience laughing before me, my lax grin unwavering.
Juniper quickly recovers from her fits of laughter, returning from the humor to readdress the situation. "Now, about your Pokedex and Trainer's ID…" She begins, before giving both of us insight on how these things work.
She didn't take long, telling us the ideas behind these things. Apparently, all Pokeballs a person owns is linked to the PokeDex, and the Pokeballs themselves only respond to the fingerprints of the Trainer.
Once a few attempts to open them have been made, the ball will lock itself and refuse to open until the registered Trainer touches it. If the ball remains locked for more than a day, the Pokemon within is automatically released.
There isn't much of a way to control a Pokemon once you catch them, though. There used to be, but those methods were deemed illegal. As a safeguard, the Pokeballs have a built-in mechanism that prevents any caught Pokemon from harming their Trainer.
Safeguard aside, a Pokemon that won't listen to you won't fight for you. So, it's always a good idea to bond with your team or have them inside their balls a lot. Juniper would keep explaining, but this was just a recap from what we'd already learned.
"Ah, I see you both still have that Xtranceiver of yours." Juniper says, looking to our wrist-mounted devices. "Of course we do!" Yupia smiles, holding her wrist up as Juniper takes a closer look at it.
"There's a button right under the screen. Press it, and you'll see the difference between this model and the 1.0." The professor tells us, to which I tap the new, red button she described. As soon as I do so, I see a pair of earpieces pop out.
"Okay, so what do these do?" I ask her, getting Juniper to point to the two starter Pokemon in front of us. "It's to help you understand Pokemon better. Just place those in your ears, and then press the button again." She explains, as I get to following her instructions.
"Alright, now what?" I ask, my gaze meeting Juinper's expectant one. "Be patient, you two. You'll see." She replies, making me frown as Yupia pouts at the cryptic tone of her voice. We both hate it when she does this surprise reveal stuff.
"What's going on?" I jump a small bit as a new voice enters my ears via the earpiece, one I'd never heard before. That voice sounded from behind me, right? Thinking that, I turn around and take a look, but I only see the Oshawott looking my way.
"Huh. I swore I heard someone say something." I mumble, to which the Oshawott frowns. "If only you could understand me, Mister..." The Water Type mumbles, using that same feminine voice that she had said her name with.
...Wait, what!?
"Hey, Oshawott? Say something, right now." I tell the small Water Type, who points to herself with a paw digit. "Who, me?" She asks, getting me to nod. "Yeah, you. Say someth-" I start before I realize what she just did. Holy shit, this is cool!
"I just understood you!" I gape, hardly believing that for myself. "Wait, you did?" The Oshawott gasps, getting me to nod eagerly. "Oh my gosh, you did! You can understand me, Mister!" She cheers, making me chuckle as she literally jumps for joy.
"I can understand you! This is a great day!" I hear Yupia cheer, getting me to look back and see that she's talking to Tepig as well. Wow, someone's excited. For a second, I swore I saw her eyes light up with stars.
"If you get me, then put me the heck down! I'm not a big fan of heights, ya know!" The small Fire Pig Pokemon squeals in response, making me sigh. Yupia, please pay attention to your team a bit more.
"That's what the Xtranceiver 2.0 does, you two. It helps you understand your Pokemon better, so that you can hopefully build deeper bonds with them." She tells me, to which I grin with joy.
"Thanks, Juniper. This is one hell of a gift." I smile her way, to which she shakes her head. "Oh, this is nothing. This feature has been out on the market for over a year now, so it's nothing new." The Professor replies as we finish getting over our excitement.
"Hey, Juniper. Something up?" I ask Juniper, who looks to me with a slightly saddened look on her face once she finishes explaining.
"It didn't seem too long ago when both of you were new here. Now, you're leaving to make your own lives." She sighs with a sad smile, reminiscing of when we were younger.
"Do not fear, professor! I shall be fine, and so will Jay!" Yupia places a comforting hand on her shoulder, smiling at her former teacher. "Yeah, what she said. We did learn from the best, you know." I add, Juniper smiling as she takes our hands in hers.
"Please, promise me you'll stay safe." She asks me, to which we smile. "No worries, Juniper. We'll be fine." I nod to her, causing the professor to sniff as tears form in her eyes.
"I'll protect Jay if things get bad, so don't you worry! We'll be back home with two amazing teams of Pokemon before you know it!" Yupia grins widely, her voice carrying confidence and optimism I could never hope to match. And to answer your question, she's always been this cool.
"I'll miss you both, you know. The lad will be a little lonelier without you around." She chuckles, making me shake my head as I place a hand to my heart.
"Hey, we'll always be right with you." I tell her, before gesturing to the pile of books and the ruined bookshelf. "Now, let's clean this stuff up, shall we?" I remind the two, Juniper quickly getting what I mean.
"No, no, no! You two have a journey to embark on, so I couldn't possibly..." She begins, to which I cut her off. "Hey, I was kinda responsible for that too." I tell her, righting the shelf and placing the book on it in order.
"I will help, too!" Yupia grins, walking over and shoving pairs of books into their categories. "Thanks, you two." The professor smiles at us before she too joins in to help us clean up Jimmy's mess.
I had told her that Jimmy had only him-shelf to blame, and her laughter indicated that I had struck gold once again. Puns, always there to save the day, no matter how dire the situation looks. Well, not for my sister, but still…
[Juniper]
"Stay safe and have a good time!" I wave goodbye with a smile from the doors of the lab, Jay and Yupia waving back to me in kind. As much as I know that I need to let them go, I can't help but find myself staring at the entrance to the woods long after they'd left.
Yupia was always such an optimist, lightening the mood with a happy smile and assuring words. Jay was lazy for sure, but he had the same passion and patience that I did when he helped me with my research.
"Oh, you two have grown so much..." I sigh, pulling out a picture that they had taken with me. I can still remember it being a nice summer's day, with the two siblings having invited me to a picnic with them on their summer break.
They had the audacity to drag me out of my lab and into the sunlight, much to my annoyance. They had carried me out to the grassy areas just before the forest, ignoring my protests and pleas. When I had asked them about why they had led me out here, Jay and Yupia had simply smiled at me.
"Well, you're always so busy. So, today is a day for you to be you. Just take a load off, and watch the clouds roll by with us. Alright?" Jay had said, while his sister smiled. "Indeed, Professor! You've done so much for us, so let us do something for you!" She declared, which stunned me to my core.
I was always in my lab, only leaving for the occasional walk or supply buying from the store. Eve with these two having entered my life back then, I hadn't given the idea of enjoying myself much thought. So to have these two include me in their relaxation day was quite touching.
"Uh, Juniper? You're crying. Something wrong?" Jay asks me, looking quite worried all of a sudden. "Oh, no! I knew we shouldn't have forced her out here!" Yupia cried, panicking at my tears.
"No, no. These are happy tears, so there's no need to worry." I assured them, calming them down as we ate, watched the clouds and laughed while Jay and Alita had fun together. Who knew that they acted like such children, even at the age of sixteen?
I had such a great time, that I had asked them to invite me out on more of these surprise picnics. And they did, once or twice a week until today. I had become so close to those big-hearted, goofy siblings without even realizing it.
"Oh, you two. I really hope you achieve your dreams." I smile sadly, looking at the photo as I recalled those carefree times. "Juniper, I got something!" Oh, that's my lab assistant calling. A Pokemon professor's work is never finished, it seems.
[Jay]
"I shall run to the next city, Brother! I want to challenge the Gym they have, and fight some Pokemon along the way!" Yupia replies, getting me to smirk as the Oshawott looks from her to the frightened Tepig.
"You're crazy, lady! Put me down!" He squeals, his legs kicking uselessly as he tries to get out of her grip. "Now come, new partner! Let us explore!" She cries, before running off quickly. Once she notices I'm not running after her though, she stops.
"Brother, I wish you'd hurry up! There's so much to see and do, I can't even begin to fathom how you're not jumping for joy like I am! Now, stop being so lazy and come over here!" She frowns at me, to which I shake my head.
"Nah, sis. I know you're exited and all, but I'd like to explore things at my own pace. I'll see you later, though." I tell her, getting her to nod in understanding. Also, there isn't a Gym there, but she'll probably figure it out. Probably.
"Ah, I see! Farewell then, Brother! We shall meet at the next town!" She declares, before running off. "Somebody help me!" The Tepig cries desperately, unable to flee from the grasp of his new Trainer. Meh, he'll be fine. After all, Yupia's too cool for stuff like letting her Pokemon down. Literally.
Once we were out of view and staring at the entrance to the path of Route 1, I turned to face my new friend. "Now that I think about it, I don't really know your name, kiddo." I turn to face her, the small Pokemon doing the same.
"I don't really have a name, Mister. Unless you want to call me by my species name, that is." She replies, the sad look on her face just telling me that she wanted me to take the initiative and name her. How the hell could I say no to that?
"Then, do you mind the name… Chell?" I ask after a long moment of brainstorming. She tilts her head, giving me a quizzical look. "...Chell?" She says after a while as if trying to understand how it's supposed to be said.
"Don't judge. Takes a guy some real effort to think up of a name like that, you know." I tried to defend my choice, but that contemplative look on her face means that she probably doesn't like it.
"Yay, Chell's my name now! Thanks, Mister Jay!" She cheers, happily jumping into the air as she says so. Or… it could mean that she actually was considering that option. Huh.
"Alright, then. Heya, Chell. The name's Jay. Nice to meet ya." I extend my hand in greeting towards her, her flipper-like appendage holding onto my hand. She smiles at me in reply, squeezing my hand harder as she starts to shake it.
What she wasn't expecting, however, was the farting sounds of a whoopee cushion to be heard the second she applied more pressure to the handshake, the sudden farting noises causing her to burst into laughter.
"Heh, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. Gets 'em every time." I chuckle, grinning to her reaction that I found extremely adorable for some reason. How can something be this cute, anyway?
"Let's get going, shall we?" I motion for her to follow, my smile getting one out of her in kind. "You got it, Mister Jay!" She replies, walking to match my slow pace as we proceed into the forest path up ahead.
Author's Note:
Alright, it's Adventure Time! ...Wrong universe? Oh, okay. Seriously though, I've rewritten this for the last time!
...Maybe! Until then, I hope you'll enjoy what ideas for the Rewrite I've got next! It'll be a bit, but Jay will have a better story than what I've written so far. It's what I feel he deserves after I left for a whole year.
I hope you guys will stick around for this too! Seriously, you all rock. Still following this train wreck after all this time means so much to me. I won't let you down, guys and gals!
Wishing you all the best,
Roccer
