…When you received a letter from command that you alongside your platoon would be reassigned from the frontline to a place in the middle of nowhere, there's this kind of mixed feelings inside your heart. You want to leave but at the same time you knew you're going to miss it...I've been in the frontline for half of year, fighting against those Sirens directly and I'm lucky enough to prevail most of the time against them which quickly rack up my rank as a corporal. But then, the letter came and we've been assigned to someplace that command designated as Point Azure, I thought to myself that I'm going to miss the aliens from shooting me because I will be relocated as a guard for a facility. I did some diggings later, helping my sergeant and all when we found out that Point Azure isn't some kind backwater facility…It's even deadlier frontline than the one I fought in.

Point Azure is a military installation that housed and deployed KANSENs or who we like to call ship girls, these girls are equipped with state of the art mechanical rig that housed a firepower equivalent with our warships. Oh, surely people will immediately scoff at the idea for being quite imaginary when they heard that but they don't…because, those girls are real and they delivered results. I never worked with them, not directly that is. Once during the Battle of New York? Our platoon received a fire support from one of them, Baltimore if I didn't misremembered. Her HE shells fell upon Sirens ground forces position, enabling us to storm them with our Thompsons and M3s…To think a woman with riggings like that could turn the tide of battle? It's a scary and intriguing thought, then again I try not to think too deeply on it. As long as they are on our side, I have no complaints.

"Get your gear boys! We've arrived!" My platoon commander said out loud.

"Alright you heard the man!" One of our sergeant said out loud.

I unshackled the seatbelt of the C-47 Cargo Plane passenger seat, I grabbed my bag and exited the plane before I was hit by the view. Point Azure was million times better than our frontline bases, count on it. Building's paint still looking fresh, people wore clean clothes, the air is fresh, the sun is warm just in the right temperature and we're only at the airbase, heh…I think this place would be cozy enough, my platoon commander…well, I should just call him lieutenant like always suddenly beckoned us to line up and we did just that...

"Just, why?" One private to my left said in whisper.

"Probably to make good impression to the base commander" The other private responded while he whisper.

"Let's just hope the commander isn't ballbuster fucktard like our previous one" The private said in whisper.

"Amen to that" The other private said in whisper.

"Zip it you two" The sergeant on my right said to them.

Suddenly, a 4x4 green military jeep parked in front of us and there's three people that disembarked from it…The first one is a young woman that has long snow white hair and sharp purple eyes that I think could pierce anyone soul with single stare. She dressed with white sleeveless shirt and large black coat, she wore black skirt and oh, an officer hat? The other one is a young woman that we are certain to be from Sakura Empire, she's a brunette with fluffy fox ears alongside numerous tails, she wore black and red kimono like clothes, carrying red umbrella and she stared at us...not intrigued stare, that kind of 'analytical' stare which rattled some of us…Lastly, a young man dressed in Azur Lane officer dress. Tall blonde haired man, green emerald eyes, average posture, clean shaved and dagger like stare. What's with these people and how they stare huh?!

"Officer on deck!" The lieutenant shouted out loud as we stood at attention.

"At ease marines…Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Point Azure. The frontline in the fight against the Sirens, my name is James Reynolds and I will be your commander from today on, let's get along…Point Azure is a place where ordinary humans and KANSENs lived together, I have only but one primary rules that I strictly uphold and the others to follow. Respect each other and live harmoniously" Reynolds said to us.

…Kinda get what he means by that, the ship girls possessed tremendous power and some of us could be said 'feared' them to an extent. Commander Reynolds here didn't want that fear to cause any unnecessary conflict, which I agreed in this war where we cannot afford another fight between humans-

"Any of you that disrespect that rule? I could personally guarantee you that your military career is over the moment you did that. Alright, any questions?" Reynolds asked us out loud.

"Sir?" One corporal raised her hand upwards.

"Yes corporal?" Reynolds said to the corporal.

"…What is exactly our job here, sir? If this base housed as a ship girl's base then won't they more than enough to fight the Sirens?" The corporal asked to Reynolds.

"Excellent question…Ship girls are our best unit when it comes to seaborne combat but sometimes, we have to fight the Siren on the solid ground and we can't afford every ship girls to fight on land. That is why, command have deemed that you marines are essential. There are many others soldiers from Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Sakura Empire, Ironbloods, Iris Libre, Vichya Dominion, Sardegna Empire, Dragon Empery and even Northern Union on this base for that purpose alone. We don't want any infighting so behave yourselves…Enterprise?" Reynolds suddenly outreached his hand toward Enterprise on his right side who handed him a paper clipboard.

"Here you go, commander" Enterprise said to Reynolds.

Wait a fucking second! Enterprise?! The hero of pacific front herself?! She served as this guy's secretary now?! Wow! To think I got to see the legend herself in front of my eyes! Her combat prowess is extraordinary and she is highly regarded by the marines that fought on the pacific front! Damn, beautiful as heck too! And the other lady too! Boy, I've heard the ship girls are gorgeous but to think I got the chance to see one myself…

"Your platoon is known with codename Phobos, Delta Company, 7th Battalion of Azur Lane Atlantic Command 1st Division…in Greek mythology Phobos signified fear itself and that fall in line with this platoon specialty as Assault Unit. Let's see here…Ten thunderous charge against Siren fortifications, fifteen covert sabotage operation and contributed greatly in the defense of New York? If I didn't know any better, this platoon is a special force rating. But alas, command still thought you people as regulars" Reynolds said out loud.

"There's also their latest operation on the Caribbean" The fox lady said to Reynolds.

"Ah thanks Amagi, that one too" Reynolds said to Amagi, so that's her name.

Well that summed up our resume nicely, we are certainly no greenhorns in this war but despite all of that High Command didn't notice our effort that well. I mean, as far as I am concerned our profile was very low compared to the other units that participated in New York defense. That might be because our previous commander is a glory hound but we got 'personal' feud against the bastard so that's why he made sure to keep us in the dark corner…But how the hell did the man in front of us got complete records of our activity? Did someone leaked it to high command? Is this how they repay us? By sending us to an even deadlier frontline?

"I'm sure you guys are itching for a fight" Reynolds said to us.

"Point us at the Sirens sir, we'll get the job done" The lieutenant said to Reynolds.

"Careful there LT, many people have said that the moment they arrived on this base and they return in body bags. I'm sure all of you are ready to fight, fortunately we didn't see any trace of the Sirens for the past few days so all of you could take it easy for a while. Now I'm also sure you guys are tired from the long flight, so I'll let you off the hook for today. Head to site Delta, one of the small town so you can wind up on the apartment. Talk to WO. Jenkins for your accommodation and enjoy your stay Phobos Platoon, dismissed" Reynolds said to us out loud.

Reynolds, Amagi and Enterprise boarded the jeep again and they immediately head back to where they came from…All of us despite being dismissed still stood there with confused face, a flat? So we're not going to stay in the barracks? Hell fucking yes! While I might missed the shenanigans that we could do when we slept on the barracks I am filled with bliss when I know that I will have a private room possibly with kitchen and shower, thank god! All of us stared at each other while we grinned widely, oh the simple joy a personal room gave after six month in the frontline!

"Well, lucky for us eh? We all happy with the news, I know. But if any of you are late to the meetings because of this? I will have your ass, got it?" Lieutenant said to us, despite his serious warning he still grinned from ear to ear.

""""""""""Sir yes sir!"""""""""" We responded happily.

I didn't felt tired and moody despite the long march toward site Delta on the center of the island, at all. We should be riding on the trucks but the one that about to pick us up bogged down when apparently a baseball ball hit the engine at the speed of sound, now I don't know how the fuck that could happen but I could presume the ship girls as the primary cause for that…We finally arrived at site Delta and we were surprised to say the least, Delta site indeed looks like a small town! There are flats, markets, barbershop, stalls, workshop, armory and even a bar! The soldiers that were sent here had privileges! After getting through the streets while being stared at as obvious newcomers because of our bags we finally arrived at a large peach colored building with fifteen floors, this must be our flat. When we entered the lobby we could see someone dressed in Azur Lane uniform talking to few people before she addressed us…

"Ah, you guys must be Phobos Platoon" The woman said out loud.

"Warrant Officer Jenkins?" Lieutenant took a second to confirm who she is.

"Indeed. I'm the one in charge with the housings, you want to buy furniture or has troubles with your room you come to me first. Phobos Platoon will stay on the fifteenth floor, the only floor left available on Delta site as the rest are full already. Now line up on the counter, first one first served" Jenkins said to us.

We lined up, get the keys to our room and then boarded the lift together as we headed for the fifteenth floor. I got put in the room 1507, I opened the door and looked inside…They said apartment but it's quite minimalistic, there's a bed on the far right side end of the room with nightstand, a large cupboard to the left, space for bathroom and kitchen on the left and in the middle there's a table with four chairs on it…Huh, certainly not your standard flat you expected but for us? I think this is more than enough, beats being stuck together inside barracks where you can have some peace and quiet...I begun unpacking things, my clothes, my books and several other things before I went to the balcony and stared out. I see some of my fellow soldiers did the same to my left and right balcony side, I only smiled as I stared out and enjoyed the afternoon view…

.

After that, I went to shower, then slept soundly for eight hours, wake up the next morning, attended a morning briefing and got my first task of the day…that's right, guard duty and I got the short end of it by being placed on the main compound where the ship girl lives and operates. Rumors around are that the girls are 'unique' and has gimmicks that could often get the regular soldiers into trouble or even subjected into something so bizarre you still wonder how the hell any of them still stay sane when they had to face this every day, but I heard you could also befriend the ladies that way…I do felt interested to know some of them, perhaps this won't be so bad experience after all.

I gripped on my M1 Garand as I stared out from the back of the cargo truck, I caught a ride with it to make sure I still got any stamina for this long arse guard duty…after a brief ride I could feel the truck stopped and I disembarked from it, I waved at the driver who also waved back before resuming their drive to the other end of the island. I stared at the main compound entrance, nodded at the two poor sods wearing Ironblood uniform and Sakura Empire uniform who stuck on guarding the main entrance before I walked inside...During my walk I managed to catch a glimpse of several children playing around near the park with giant golden anchor statue, children?! Wait wait wait, what are they doing here?! Aren't this place a military base?! Could they be a children from the soldiers? You know, things got heated and you forget to use protection which resulted in a gift nine months later? Hey, things happened.

I decided to stay there a while, watching the little girls in Sakura Empire kindergarten uniforms talking together under a large Sakura tree with few yellow chicken like creature around them…are they edible? Wait a second me, I know you thirst for some meat but at least refrain from asking yourself that question for the first thing you need to know about it alright? Hah…what are those creatures? Never seen them before but perhaps that has connection with the ship girls…I'd feel bad about eating it if it's their pet or something, if not then…I'd get to that later.

"Ne, Kongou nee-sama, how about we eat lunch there?" I heard voice from my left side.

"Splendid idea Haruna, let's go" Another voice said out loud.

I looked to the left side and saw two beautiful girls walked as they chatted together, the brunette with twin tails wearing brown kimonos while carrying a basket of some kind probably filled with lunch that she mentioned. The other one is a blonde woman with stunning light blue eyes, she dressed like a western girl but perhaps she's also from Sakura Empire with that horns on her side of the head? I didn't bother to ask as the two of them walked past me and proceed to seated themselves on the bench underneath the Sakura tree, the few children that were there greeted them as they flocked together…the sight, did bring a smile upon my face…After seeing enough and noticing that the sun is already up high, I decided to move from the park.

I slung my rifle to my shoulder as I approached the market area? Near the pier and the beach, the place was filled with many ship girls and some soldiers who's also on patrol. I looked around to see if there's anything that could catch my interest, there are books, everyday items and even food stalls…Okay, food did caught my interest so I approached a hot dog stand on the area. As I approached it I noticed that there's no one manning the stalls? Are they on break or something? Suddenly, from below the previous yellow chicken appeared and stood on top of the stall as it looked at me…It tilted its head to right a bit as if questioning me? I pointed at the picture of hot dog on the glass display and it nodded its head.

I decided to not question on why did I buy a hot dog from a chicken, the thought alone is already a nonsense…The chicken skillfully worked on the sausage and the bun, it placed the sausage inside the bun, sprayed some mustard and ketchup at it, put it on top of a wrapper and wrapped around it. It then put it on front of me while it blinked its eyes twice…I decided to whip up two gold coins for the hot dog and placed it in front of the chicken, however it shook its head sideways and I cocked my eyebrows in wonder. The chicken tapped one of the gold coins, I tilted my head to right in confusion and it tapped the coin again. I decided to put another gold coins near the coins and the chicken nodded few times…Ahhhh, a hot dog for three coins. We communicated pretty well despite none of us saying anything, I took the hot dog and started eating it while walked before I bumped into someone…or more like, being rammed by someone to the ground.

THUD!

"Sorry! I'm in a rush!" That someone said as she kept running.

A green haired girl with high ponytail while wearing blue and white clothes just sprinted then rammed my right side, making me spun on the air once before I fell to the ground face first with loud thud, I groaned in pain lowly as I raised my head to look at the fleeing girl who still sprinted at full speed…while that happened, I saw my hot dog fell to the ground right in front of my face. Adding insult to the injury, another girl this time a blonde went past me and sparked dust and sands on top of my already fallen hot dog as she trailed close to the green haired girl.

"Shropshire! Come back here you dimwit!" The girl shouted as she sprinted in inhuman speed.

…I couldn't care less about being rammed, I couldn't care less about the incident but seeing my hot dog get disrespected like that filled me with great sadness that I couldn't eat the combination of the soft bun and delicious sausage any longer. I sighed, grabbed on my fallen helmet, put it back on my head, grabbed my M1 Garand then checked on it for damage before dusting it off and walked away from the area. Despite being rammed like that, no one seemed to bother helping me…heh, I suppose that's what I get for being your average grunt in the base full of special people...

My body felt a jolt of pain for a bit as the result of me hitting the ground before but I shrugged it off as I resumed my duty, I walked a bit and then spotted an empty bench where I choose to sit for a while after walking around for an hour. I dusted my uniform and armor plating before I rested my rifle beside me and then I leaned on the bench as I sighed…a brief rest before resuming another patrol then stop by on the cafeteria for lunch. The view of the open sea is quite nice, the sky was clear blue, very few clouds and the wind are quite gentle and really cooled me off…Oh no, I better not enjoy it too much lest I fall asleep on the job…cleaning duty is something I want to avoid at all cost.

"Hey" Someone beside me said.

She probably called for her friend so I paid that voice no heed as I continue to stare out at the ocean, which until someone stood in front of me that prompted me to look upward to stare at their face. She's a blonde woman with long hair, mesmerizing crimson eyes, she stared at me while she smiled, she's dressed like an officer with the red and white clothes, some medals on her upper left chest region, she wore white skirt, black stockings and black boots...oh, there's also a sheathed sword on her right hip, judging from the sheath it must be a longsword ceremonial blade. Then again, if she's a ship girl I'm pretty sure that thing is a legit weapon.

"Got your attention now?" The girl said to me with her British accent, I only nodded my head in response while I hummed.

"I watched how you get rammed by Shropshire, I apologize in that girl's stead because sometimes she could be quite airheaded" The girl said to me as she handed me something.

That something is a wrapped hot dog, did she buy one for me? I hesitantly took the wrapped hot dog, it's still warm which mean she immediately bought one not long after I got rammed to the ground…I produced three gold coin from my pocket but before I even got the chance to take it out she held her hand at me as if telling me no.

"No need to pay me, just consider it as compensation. Well I must be going now, keep it up" The girl smiled as she turned and started to walk away.

"Hey…thanks" I said to the girl.

The girl stopped walking suddenly, she then turned around and faced me while she smiled softly…Ah I get it she must've thought that I'm mute, headline, I am not. I just never talk much, saved myself from trouble few times because of that but I'm not some bellend that won't say thanks for someone who goes out of her way to buy me a hot dog after her 'friend' made me lose mine. I got manners and shite…she took few steps toward me while she's still smiling, I officially didn't know what's on her mind right now…

"So you could talk" The girl said to me while she smiled.

"Of course" I simply responded.

"Hehe…once again, sorry about before" The girl said to me while she smiled.

"Its fine, no one got hurt" I said to the girl.

"Uh, but you do get hurt" The girl said to me while she looked at me in concern.

"I've experienced worse than that, it's fine…really" I said to the girl as I smiled a bit.

"If you say so mister…Okay, I'll be truly going now" The girl said to me while she smiled.

"Alright" I said to the girl as I nodded my head.

I watched the blonde girl walked away and met another blonde wearing blue clothes, this blonde however has dark blue eyes. They spoke for a bit before the previous girl pointed at me who stopped munching on the hot dog as the other blonde girl stared at me, she seems judging me? Bah, I decided not paid attention on the stare as I returned to eat the hot dog in my hand. The other blonde lady giggled a bit before both of them departed from the area…after I finished my hot dog, I also got up and leave…it's time for lunch and I'm quite hungry.

.

I arrived at the canteen, entered it and lined up myself with the others. I grabbed the tray as I walked and grabbed few things that I want to eat before arriving in front of a girl that might be stuck on canteen duty, the girl had light blonde hair…okay, there's so many blonde haired girls on this base! Not saying I'm complaining but to find so many in this short amount of time? It's the first time for me. Anyway, the girl put a slab of meat on my disposable tray, some porridge and two sunny side up eggs. Before I walked away the girl put a cup of pudding on my tray, I cocked my eyebrows in confusion as I stared at her…that is not something I expected, the others didn't get any pudding whatsoever.

"Don't worry, it's free. You're a new guy right?" The girl asked me.

"…How did you know?" I asked her back.

"Well, not trying to brag but I've seen many people coming to this place during my duty so I recognized lots of face. Yours are not among them" The girl said to me while she smiled.

"Yes you're right, I'm new here" I said to the girl.

"Then welcome to Point Azure! If you're having a rough first day, don't worry, you'll get used to it!" The girl said to me while she grinned.

"Thanks" I said to the girl.

"Pro tip corporal, don't make any kind of mess within this canteen or you'll have to face me and I hate to sucker punch that handsome face of yours" The girl said to me, she's dead serious…

"Got it" I simply responded.

"Good. Now run along, take your seat" The girl said while she smiled.

…I better heed her words, I don't like troubles and I certainly hate having my face punched since I'm no masochist. I found a secluded place on the other end of the canteen, I sat down there, by my lonesome self but at least a tray full of food and a desert from the canteen lady. I started eating when I saw a large group of girls in front of me sat down while wearing thick white clothes…Judging from their apparel and their language, I could safely assume that they are from Northern Union. I ate as I try to pay them no heed but I found myself staring back when one of them who has twin tail braided white hair casually pull out a bottle of vodka…A bottle of vodka, at noon and she's drinking straight from the bottle? Wow…

I couldn't tell if that girl is alcoholic or not but I know drinking on the job is frowned upon, however the girls around her seems fine, the canteen lady seems fine and even the other soldiers seems not surprised at the sight…Did she did this every day? Well shite, I think she just loved vodka so much…I quickly ate my portion, I only got one hour break before I had to continue my guard duty. After I finished my meal I'm about to eat the pudding, but I decided to go against it and better saved this for later. I drink my cup of water and then exited the canteen, hmm…Looks like I had to go to the admin building for now. I casually walked with my M1 Garand slung on my shoulder as I entered the admin building, as expected everything is clean and cozy. I walk further in before I saw a little girl crying and a maid who tried to comfort her, the maid has white hair and blue purplish eyes while the little girl has twin tailed blue hair and purple round eyes…

"…What's going on?" I asked as I approached them.

"She dropped her food and I'm trying to calm her down at the moment" The maid said to me without looking.

"That…that was Nevada's pudding! Uwaaahhhh!" The little girl said while she cried.

…Hold up, pudding? While I don't know who Nevada is, I do have a pudding on my pocket so I took out the pudding and crouched down in front of the blue haired girl. I took her hand which surprised her for a bit before I put the pudding on top of her hand, she stopped crying as she stared at the pudding and back at me for a bit before she grinned.

"Can I have this?!" The little girl asked me.

"Of course" I said to the little girl.

"Yay! Thank you mister!" The little girl said to me while she grinned.

"Lena! I got you another pudding" A woman approached from my back.

"I already have one" The little girl said to her.

"Oh my, who give you that?" The girl asked the little girl.

The little girl and the maid pointed their index finger at me, it was at that time I decided to look up and stared at the woman. She has the same blue hair as the little girl with side ponytail on her right side, she has the same purple eyes, she dressed in skimpy white and blue dress with the same colored stockings and long gloves…and by the god or anything holy out there, she's oozing sexual appeal everywhere! Her bountiful chest, her nicely shaped legs and let's not mention that bedroom eyes and sexy looking gaze!

"Are you the one who give her Nevada's pudding?" The woman asked me, so that canteen's lady is named Nevada.

"Yes I am" I simply said to her.

"Thanks for your help corporal, I appreciate it" The woman said to me while she smiled softly, oh if smile could kill-

"Don't worry about it. I'll be going now" I said to the woman as I turned around.

"Wait, are you the newly arrived soldier of Phobos Platoon?" The maid suddenly asked me.

"Correct" I said to the maid, how did she know?

"Master Reynolds would like to speak with one of you, you're already here so please follow me" The maid said to me.

I bid goodbye to the two girls who looked like mother and daughter from my point of view as I followed the maid around the admin building, Commander Reynolds would like to speak with us so why bother with a representative? Phone do exist you know? But I choose to stay quiet as I walked around with the beautiful maid in front of me. We walked all the way to the third floor of the admin building where I presumed is the location for the commander's office.

"Did you know what he want with us?" I decided to ask the maid.

"I don't know, but he know that one of you would be the patrol around the area for today so he want me to get you" The maid said to me while she smiled.

"I see" I simply responded.

All of a sudden I heard commotion from nearby and an explosion blown the wall alongside the door in front of us, I grabbed my M1 Garand, pointed it forward as I get in front of the maid to shield her…What I saw next is enough to put me in confused state, there's Enterprise who I saw yesterday and a girl who looked like Amagi but she has different clothes. The girl throw some paper planes at Enterprise who easily dodged it, Enterprise drawn her bow and fired a light arrow who missed the mark and shattered the window behind the girl. The girl escaped as Enterprise followed her…the maid only calmly put her hand on my rifle as she lowered it.

"Don't worry, it's the usual" The maid said to me in calm tone.

"The usual?" I asked with disbelieve latched on my tone.

"Goddamnit" Reynolds appeared from the destroyed office entrance, he looked fine at least.

"Master, I brought the one you requested" The maid said to Reynolds.

"Ah, Belfast, perfect timing. You, come in" Reynolds said to me before going back to his office…so the maid is called Belfast.

…I slung the rifle back on my shoulder as I went through the hole on the wall with Belfast, Reynolds sighed as he sat on his office chair while he massaged his left temple. Belfast went to the right side as she seemed to prepare something, Reynolds looked at me who still stood straight at attention in front of him amidst the messy office.

"Well, don't be so rigid buddy, sit down" Reynolds said to me.

"Sir" I said as I sat on the chair in front of him.

"Don't mind about what you just saw corporal, it happens quite a lot that you'll get used to it" Reynolds said to me.

"…Yes commander" I said as I nodded my head.

"Do you know why you're here?" Reynolds asked me.

"No sir" I said to Reynolds.

"Alright, I'll get straight to it. We found a small Siren presence on one of the heavily populated island near this isle, it's a dead Explorer class ship girl but that mean Sirens managed to get pretty close to our base undetected. Last night I received a call from the mayor of the town that locals have been seeing figures in the dark, yellow flashes and all of that…if the Sirens are there, the people are in immediate danger. I want your platoon to investigate and neutralize any threat there, any means necessary…Every info that's required is written on paper inside this envelope" Reynolds explained to me as he handed me an envelope.

"Yes sir, I will relay the information to the lieutenant immediately" I said to Reynolds.

"Good" Reynolds smiled in satisfaction.

First day on the job recount, met several girls, got smashed to the ground and an investigation mission to the neighboring island which I presumed will be executed as soon as possible. Huh, at least we'll be back on doing our specialty which is shooting Sirens in the face. But why didn't Reynolds send in the more capable ship girls? Are we a throwaway piece or something? The one he will send in first to the meat grinder to test just how capable the machine is? Strategically speaking, it's better to sacrifice an entire platoon of your average soldiers than to kill one of your strategic resources…I get that, but still…Bah, let's not thought too deeply on this for now. At least it's not escort mission-

"Oh and Corporal Wallace? I'm sending one of the ship girls with your platoon, she will act as your commander and will make the decision in my stead. Protect her with your life" Commander Reynolds said to me just before I left…

Shite, jinxed myself and not even one second since I thought about it! Very funny god, you do have twisted sense of humour…I saluted at the commander before I left the office, us being put in charge of the safety of strategic asset? Anything else that could make this mission even worse for us? Just as I thought that a black cloud slowly covered the skies as bit by bit water started dropping to the ground…Huh…I should've stopped thinking for now…

Okay, this is an idea that came to me suddenly at 3 AM in the morning and I felt it will be waste not to write it. My friend suggested that I switched to a first person narrative so I could get some writing experience, so I incorporate the idea while I trained myself…Yeah, this story was told from a perspective of your average soldier and not the commander of Azur Lane ship girls. Might be an interesting idea to explore on how the average soldier view the girls and how they interact with each other, I'm quite satisfied with this one to be honest. The setting will use a pseudo WW2 era, the one where the weaponry are similar but some tech being more advanced than the others...

This story is a one shot for now since I still got my main project Commander Blaze to write and focused on, I just took a short rest to write this one out and will post another chapter for Commander Blaze soon. Anyway, let me know what do you think about this one, is it interesting? How's the character? Should I continue this one as full story? Let me know people.
