Rebel Spirits Attacking the Spirit Festival!
The scene shows everyone who have been invited to the big feast are gathered together inside an enormous hall made of ice, Mako is sitting at one table with Bolin and Asami close to the head table where Korra and her family are sitting at. Mako turns around a little waving at Korra who waves back at him before turning her attention to her uncle.
"This is a wonderful feast in your honor, Uncle." Korra complimented.
"This is nothing. When this festival was founded, the tribal elders would commune with the spirits. People would watch the brilliant displays of light as spirits danced in the sky." Unalaq mentioned with a small smile.
"Wow, I've never seen that." Korra wondered what that is like.
"And that is a shame, since the Avatar is the bridge between the material world and the spirits. That is why I want so badly to teach you. To help you fulfill your destiny." Unalaq said.
"And now you finally get the opportunity." Tonraq said firmly.
"Come now, big brother. You should have known better that this was bound to happen, especially since it yours and Tenzin's decision to keep her secluded at the South Pole." Unalaq revealed shocking Korra.
"I thought Aang ordered the White Lotus to keep me down here?" Korra puzzled.
"We all did what we thought was best for you." Tonraq proclaimed.
"Well, unlike you, Tenzin has learned that it is my decision of who should train me." Korra crossed her arms under her breasts with a little smirk looking towards Tenzin.
"I can't believe you are willing giving Korra away to a new stick-in-the-mud mentor." Bumi tapped his elbow on Tenzin's arm.
"Bumi, don't pick on Tenzin. You know he's always been sensitive." Kya teased.
"Mock me whoever you want, I just come to realize that Korra may need some teachings from someone other than me for spiritual training." Tenzin said keeping his composure.
"The monkey boy talked into it." Bumi recalled it was Mako who convinced Tenzin to go along with that.
"He just made a valid point, alright." Tenzin said tense up a bit causing Bumi and Kya to laugh at him.
Katara while holding Rohan in her arms, watching her own kids with a serious look that these three are still distance with each other and pray to the spirits that the family vacation would help bring them closer like before.
Unalaq stood up from his chair to give a speech and everyone turns their attention to hear what he has to say.
"As your chief, it is my honor to speak at this festival, which was founded to bring our tribes together and restore the ancient balance between our world and that of the spirits. But I am saddened to see what it has become: a cheap carnival that celebrates greedy and trivial humans." Unalaq pointed out.
"Someone sure isn't in the party mood." Bolin whispered to Mako.
"Well, he does seem to be all about old traditions and very serious about it too." Mako noticed.
Varrick is barely paying attention to Unalaq as he is using a plate as a mirror to pick something out of his teeth.
"I feel the time is fast approaching when the North can no longer stand idly by while our Southern brothers slip into total spiritual decay. Angry spirits are already attacking ships in your waters. I only hope we are not too late to change course." Unalaq warned and sits back down.
"Well, that sure darken the mood." Bolin commented.
"I can fix that." Varrick smirked and run ups to the stage.
"Chief Unalaq everybody, always great to have him in town. Now, let's have some fun with Wacky Wushu's Dancing Otter penguins!" Varrick announced.
Cuing Wacky Wushu dancing on the stage and use his waterbending to have his otter penguins to slide together and stand bowing at the crowd together.
Although, Mako kept his eyes glue to Unalaq thinking about that he Chief of the Northern Tribe said finding it a bit odd.
"(I feel like there's more to what he is saying.)" Mako thought.
(Festival Ground)
At the festival ground where everyone is having a good time, Bolin is seen hanging out with Mako and his two girlfriends as they are feeding each other some tasty food from the food stances they got which is making Bolin feel awkward to be around with them. Then his eyes widen upon spotting Eska and Desna standing together and alone, he smirks thinking it's his time to woo himself a girlfriend.
He cleared his throat to get his big brother's attention and handed him his food.
"Wish me luck. I'm making my move!" Bolin said feeling confident and dashes excitingly towards the twins.
"Good luck." Mako said.
"Mako, you should be at least a little more supportive for your little brother when he is trying to find love." Asami scolded.
"I know, and I want to support Bolin, but you all know how he gets when he set his mind on something and tends to get a bit overboard with it." Mako stated.
"Those two have always creeped me out. They smell like a grandma's attic." Korra confessed.
"Come on, Korra, you should at least try to get along with your family and you still see them." Asami said.
"Are you still having trouble visiting your dad in prison?" Mako asked.
"…Yeah, I really want to and just talk things out, but I guess I'm still a bit scared of how he helped almost destroy Republic City." Asami admitted.
"Don't worry, you still have us and whenever you're ready to face your father. We're with you 100%!" Korra promised with a kiss on the cheek.
"Yeah, what she said." Mako kissed Asami on the other cheek.
"I am so lucky to have you guys in my life, and perhaps we may find another love too." Asami giggled confusing Mako and Korra.
Meanwhile, Bolin has walked up to the twins getting confident in himself and ready to sweet talk to Eska.
"Hey, I'm Bolin. I'm a friend of Korra's and younger brother of Mako! You're, uh, Eska right?" Bolin greeted, they haven't look at him though they are listening.
"Wow, I'm just, I am loving these water tribe robs." Bolin complimented only to get hissed from both twins.
"So, you are from the north, right? Cool, that's, like you know, that's my favorite direction." Bolin tried flirting with a little line he just came up.
"Hmm, sister, perhaps you could get closer to "Him" by going along with this odd young man." Densa devised an idea for his twin sister to be closer to her real sudden crush, Mako.
"Then that's what I shall do." Eska smiled a little.
"Do what exactly?" Bolin asked, feeling a bit nervous.
"I wish to use you to get closer to that man with the monkey tail, and if you stick with me than perhaps you may have some admires jealous that they wish to be with an odd yet good-looking young man." Eska informed Bolin the plan.
"Wait, so… You want me to help you get to know Mako and helping me get girls?" Bolin feeling a little confused of this plan.
"Yes, our fake dating shall start with you winning me prizes." Eska grabbed Bolin by the collar of his coat and drags him along.
"(Okay, not exactly what I had in mind…)" Bolin thought gulped hoping he would still be alive by morning.
(With Korra, Mako, and Asami)
The three lovers are seen playing a carnival game together such as a water gun game trying to get one object to the top (and Korra not using her water bending) and Mako wins the game, getting a big stuffy of Appa, the Flying Bosin from Avatar Aang's time. Mako went for another game to win another one for Asami which made both girls happy.
"Hey Korra, how much have you known your Uncle Unalaq?" Mako asked.
"Well, he comes to visit me whenever he can though it's mostly for the Spirit Festival and let just say the family dinner, we have doesn't exactly the family "vibe" in it." Korra explained the best she could.
"It's about what he said during the feast, I don't know how to put it, but I feel as though there was more to it, and I get this dark feeling that he is hiding." Mako informed.
"Well, apparently lots of people have been hiding secrets from me." Korra said a little angry.
"But do you really think Unalaq is keeping a deep secret?" Asami asked.
"I don't know, it's only this small dark feeling I've been getting since I started to notice back at the feast." Mako conflicted if he should listen to that instinct or not.
"Wow, you definitely got the while Ki sensing thing down if I couldn't pick that up." Korra complimented and move her hand his cheek.
"If that's the case, then maybe I can find out what exactly my uncle is hiding in his closest." Korra volunteered to act as a spy shocking Mako.
"Are you sure? He is your uncle and I'm worry that you could get in big trouble because of me." Mako worried, then got kissed on the lips by Korra.
"Mako, did you forget that I'm that Avatar? I can take care of myself okay and I also mastered some Ki-bending too, so I can get myself out of a situation." Korra winked.
"I just don't want you to feel terrible to find out you have a family member being a bad guy like with Asami." Mako concerned.
"Yeah, I didn't take the news very well and I had hope it was a nightmare, but I couldn't run away from reality knowing if I left my dad unchecked then I would just be regretting it later. And have no regret now to stop my father and Amon." Asami stated strongly.
"See, Asami was okay with having her dad being sent to prison, then I'm gonna do the same if it turns out my uncle is a bad guy." Korra determined.
Mako just stare shocked of seeing how strong willed his two girlfriends are and how Korra willing to go find out what exactly her uncle is hiding, he couldn't help but chuckle of how he has forgotten that his girlfriends are strongly than they look even if one of them isn't a Bender or the Avatar.
"Man, I love you girls so much!" Mako hugged his girlfriends.
"We love you too, Mako!" Korra and Asami said at the same time, smiling and they lean closer for a threeway kissing session.
After having some more fun in the festival, the three lovers decided head up to the huts where the family and guest are staying together as they are sleeping together on Naga while the festival is still bright in the nighttime, and everything seems peaceful.
Mako is groaning softly as he is starting to have a strange dream.
(Dreamscape)
The scene appears to be in some kind of strange place where a single man is floating wearing some kind of armor with spiky pale blonde hair and pure white eyes.
This strange man screams in pure rage and the green aura burst around him as his muscles grew bigger and his hair became spiky and lime-green, the man seems to have become more powerful and vicious as he let out a mighty roar that can be heard from all over the universe.
(Dreamscape End)
Mako's eyes shot open from the strange dream he had about this man and this powerful man felt very familiar to him, almost like he knows that man from the dream, yet he couldn't figure out why and how does this man's power feel very similar to his.
Then he notices Naga is awake for some reason.
"Hey girl, you had a nightmare?" Mako asked, then suddenly he felt something odd and dark coming from outside.
Both the Polar bear-dog and the man with the monkey tail got up from their sleeping corner going outside which didn't go unnoticed for Korra and Asami as they woke up from the disturbance.
"Huh, what's going on?" Asami asked rubbing her eye.
"I don't know, but it better be good or else I'm gonna be mad." Korra groaned as she got up and follows the two.
Korra follows her boyfriend outside as he and Naga are standing at the edge of the cliff as the polar-bear dog howls at the unknown while Mako just stood there looking worry and angry a bit.
"Mako, what's going on? Why are you and Naga out here in the middle of the night?" Korra asked while trying to get Naga to calm down.
"Something is coming." Mako said.
"What do you mean?" Asami asked as Naga howls some more.
"I don't know what it is or how could I even describe it, but something bad is coming." Mako clutched his fist as the others started to wake up.
Then from not so far distance, the three lovers and the giant white dog are seeing something dark and not normal appearing among the snow.
"What is that?" Korra asked shock.
"That… That what I was feeling, the bad stuff." Mako realized.
He saw the dark whatever entity is sprinting fast towards them as he quickly pushes his girlfriend and Naga out of the way before the dark entity attacked Mako sending him flying and crash to an icy wall. Mako quickly got up and search around seeing the dark entity has smacked Asami away and pinned Korra on the snowy ground, seeing this made Mako mad.
"Get away from her!" Mako shouted in rage as his green aura spiked.
This causes the dark entity's attention as it turns its sight on Mako who just sprint at high speed and threw a punch at the head only to just go right through the thing, this surprises Mako as he tries to attack the dark entity again with some punches and kicks, but nothing works.
"Korra, please tell me this is not how you wanted me to meet a spirit?" Mako asked while still attacking.
"Nope!" Korra quickly answered.
"Good to know!" Mako said before getting smacked away by the dark entity.
"I got it!" Bolin jumped in sending a rock wave at the dark monster thing, but it dodges Bolin's attack.
"Don't got it!" Bolin freaked out while sending some more rocks at it, but it keeps dodging and smack Bolin away.
"Get off!" Korra roared a fire-breath attack forcing the dark spirit off her.
Korra's dad comes in to help as they trap the dark spirit inside a trap of ice, but several of its tendrils broke out and grabs both father and daughter then threw them away: Tonraq at the one of the huts and Korra on the ground close to the festival ground.
Tenzin enters the scene hoping to talk reason with the dark spirit.
"Spirit, why are you angry with us? What have we done to offend you?" Tenzin asked.
But he got no answer as the dark spirit just batted him away and Mako came in just in time to catch him.
"Looks like it's not in the mood to listen." Mako said.
Korra got up seeing the spirit about to charge at her again and she held up her hand to fire a Ki blast which actually stopped the dark spirit's movements.
"Whoa, I think Ki works better against this thing." Korra surprised.
"Korra!" Mako called out as he lands next to her.
"Your Uncle said to keep it distracted for him to help the spirit find peace." Mako delivered the message.
"Then let see how it likes some Ki blast!" Korra pumped and fire some Ki blast pushing the dark spirit back, Mako does the same to help.
Even though the Ki blasts aren't hurting the spirit, it's definitely kept it occupied long enough for Unalaq to step and perform a special water-bending technique that calmed the spirit down as the water glows gold. He put the water down and the now calm spirit walks away.
"Go in peace." Unalaq prayed as the spirit fades.
"Okay, that was cool." Mako commented.
"Korra, are you alright?" Tonraq asked.
"I'm fine, dad." Korra answered and turns to her uncle.
"How are you able to control that spirit when no one else could?" Korra asked.
"As your father could tell you, I have spent my life studying the spirits and learning their ways. All of this knowledge is lost in the South, and I am honor to teach you everything I know." Unalaq bowed in respect.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, how come our Ki-bending was able to push back the spirit?" Mako asked curiously.
"Not at all. As you were told by Kame, chi or Ki as you like to call it is the spiritual energy by nature that comes from your body. I believe that it's like firing multiple mini spirits at the bigger ones." Unalaq explained.
"Wow, then it's a good thing I learned it too." Korra smiled.
"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you." Mako stated.
"He's right, there'll be more dark spirits coming and we need our Avatar to be ready." Unalaq said while Tonraq didn't like the idea, but he couldn't go against the decision since it was already decided.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Well, the Spirit Festival sure went off in a crazy way for Mako to experience the fun with his lovers and encountered a dark spirit with some help from Unalaq as things will now be epic cool for Korra's new training. Oh yeah, and now Bolin has been dragged to be Eska's fake boyfriend to make Mako feel jealous, pray to the spirits that he survives this.
