Battle of New York part 1

Potter Castle

Haralda had been looking over some paperwork with the news on in the background, only for her phone to ping, informing her she had a text message it came from one of her spies in S.H.I.E.L.D with a link to a recording from one of their jets that was on operations in Germany.

Loading it onto her T.V., what she witnessed shocked her but also brought her great Joy.

Her Uncle Loki was alive and on Midgard. Still, he was acting different speaking of his destiny to rule over the Mortals only for the Infamous Captain America to come out of nowhere and fight him alongside Natasha Romanoff in the Jet and, Haralda just groaned as she sees Tony Stark in his Iron Man suit with Music from AC-DC playing on the speakers.

What surprised her was Loki giving up just like that? Not to mention that this was the same Loki who had fought greater odds and won many battles for Asgard giving up just like that? No, the God of Lies had a trick up his sleeve by Helheim; his tricks had tricks.

"You are right about that, my darling; your uncle does have a plan, but it is not his own." Came the Voice of Hela as the Goddess of Death appeared before her daughter, a look of concern adorning her face.

"Mother, what are you on about? From what I've seen, Loki has attacked and been captured by these Midgardians." Haralda asked her mother only to see Hela point to the screen showing Loki standing before the crowd. "You see that Sceptre he's holding it's an old and powerful weapon capable of bringing anyone you touch with it under your total control. However, it's also controlling him".

Now that worried Haralda greatly but most importantly angered her a Weapon capable of controlling an Asgardian should be locked away in Odin's Vault under heavy guard as for her anger; however, she wanted to know who dared to control her uncle.

Asking her mother, she didn't receive the answer that made her feel better.

"Unfortunately, it appears that the Sceptre was given to Loki by the Mad Titan Thanos."

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me that Purple Dipshit that's been stalking you for years is behind this. Seeing her mother rubs her eyes was all Haralda needed; getting up from her Chair, she vanished from Potter Castle to hopefully prevent her uncle from doing something too stupid.

Nick Fury kneeled next to Coulson, who did not have long left his injury from Loki was fatal; seeing his eyes slowly starting close, he was ready to say goodbye too who was without a doubt not only a great Agent but a friend.

"Sorry, boss. They got rabbited."

"Just stay awake. EYES ON ME!"

"No. I'm clocked out here."

"Not an option."

"It's okay, boss. This was never going to work... if they didn't have something... to…"

"It appears I was too late to prevent this from happening." Turing round Weapon down only to have it ripped from his grip and crushed in the hand of the Hooded Figure who made her way over to them.

"Who in the Hell are you? Where did you come from." He snarled only to see the Figure shake her head slightly.

"I could explain everything, Director, or I could save your Agent. It's your choice." Seeing a look of surprise quickly appear then disappear off the Director's face, she reminded him that Agent Coulson didn't have long.

Moving to the side, he watched as the Figure walked forward, kneeling down to his fallen Agent, somehow forgetting that Phill should have died with the amount of blood loss he suffered just who was this woman.

"You fought well Mortal no Doubt Valhalla awaits you should you wish to head there; that day, however, is not here yet." Placing her hand on his chest, she allowed her Asgardian Magic to do its thing, sealing his wounds while fixing up any internal damage.

"T thank you." Coulson gasped as he seems to gain some strength back; he tried to stand only to have the Hooded Figure stop him informing him that while she had healed his wounds, he had suffered a huge blood loss he would need to see a doctor to give him a clean bill of health.

Turning to the Director, she gave him a grin. "I would recommend keeping his survival a secret until Loki has been defeated; Midgard needs the Avengers more that it realises, now if you'll excuse me, I am going to try and talk some sense into my uncle Loki, do give my regards to Thor tell him The Heiress of Thunder is annoyed she wasn't informed sooner.

With that, she vanished from the containment area down to the ground thousands of feet below. She could've told the Director who she was but let's face it, where's the fun in that it will be so much more entertaining for her, at least when he finally figured out that not only was, she the Princess of Death but the Duchess of Inverness as well.

Making her way towards the city at a leisurely stroll, she witnessed about 10 mins later the Figure of Ironman flying overhead towards New York City. So that's where you wanted your grand entrance. Loki or Thanos, whoever was in charge at the time, she had a sneaking suspicion it was Loki the man was always the one for the Dramatics.

"Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity," Loki asked, giving the Man of Iron a mocking smile.

Walking down the steps towards the bar, Tony responded. "Uh...actually, I'm planning to threaten you."

"You should have left your Armor on for that."

"Yeah, it's seen a bit of mileage. You've got the blue stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?" he asked in what Loki assumed was a joking matter only to sense no deceit in the mortal's tone; this mortal was an interesting one. "Stalling me won't change anything."

"No, no, no! Threatening. No drink? You sure? I'm having one." Tony told him as he made his way towards the bar

Loki turned towards "The CHITAURI are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?"

"THE AVENGERS. Tony said in a slightly bored tone causing Loki looks at him, confused. It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. `EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES' type of thing."

"Yes, I've met them."

"Yeah, it takes us a while to get any traction; I'll give you that one. But, let's do a headcount here. Your brother, the demi-God; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."

"That was the plan."

Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you.

From underneath the bar table, Tony pulls on COLANTOTTE BRACELETS, a honing device, before walking from the bar towards Loki.

"I have an army."

"We have a HULK."

"I thought the beast had wandered off."

"You're missing the point. There's no throne; there is no version of this, where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes, and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it."

Loki getting bored of this conversation, began to slowly walk up to him, raising the Sceptre. "How will your friends have time for me when they're so busy fighting you?"

Loki getting tired of this conversation, went to tap the Sceptre on the Mortals chest only to see the man appeared to be frozen by Hela. The whole room seemed to be frozen; that's when he felt the signature magic of Helheim. "Hello, Helasdottir to what do I owe the presence of the daughter of the Goddess of Death."

Looking into his blue eyes, Haralda could only look at her uncle with pity. "Oh, Uncle, what have you done to yourself? You allow that overgrown Grape of a Titan to warp your mind, and now you bring war to Midgard, a planet I am quite fond of."

She wanted nothing more than deal with this issue here and now. However, that was all ruined by the arrival of Haralda's least favourite Trio the Norns, informing her that she had no choice but to allow this battle to happen; she would, however, be given one chance to try and convince Loki to give up.

"You will not stop me from ruling this world, Princess of Asgard, and I am not your uncle or did the Allfather not tell you." He didn't expect Haralda to slap him across the face, here white eyes burning with fury.

"Is this why you have invaded Midgard Loki to get revenge against the man who found you abandoned as a child and brought him into his family, so what he lied to you he banished my mother to Helheim and then Midgard."

Still angry, she didn't allow him to speak, "yes, he wasn't the greatest Father and Thor was … well Thor but you still have Grandmother who loved you as her own my mother when she met you came to like you eventually and then me, "who taught me both Asgardian and Midgardian Magic who helped me prank Heimdall Thor and the Warriors Three? It was you; please give up this dream come home, I beg you, Uncle."

For a moment, she thought it had worked when she saw a sliver of green in his eyes, only to feel her heartbreak slightly as it quickly vanished. "You waste your time, Haralda; nothing will stop my destiny." He told her harshly, only to see her lower her head. "Then I leave you to your fate, remember Uncle Loki that strings of destiny are already woven for us all before we are even born from mere mortals to Gods even wannabe Kings,"

With that, she vanished in green smoke unfreezing stark who carried on as nothing happened; turning towards him, Loki moved to use the Sceptre on him, however this time with a small amount of worry and guilt curtesy of the Girl he had once called his Niece.

Haralda sat down on the top of a random building to watch the coming battle wondering whether or not to get involved in fighting the Chitauri or just watch it all burn before her.
