It's been a chaotic time for them. There was a slight sting from Midoriya's actions, but they could understand why he did it. The Heroines were rabid and the Commission was pushing harder and harder for their capture.
Hell, They sent Hawks in an attempt to bribe us. he was going to kick himself for even considering the bribe in the first place. They knew he had a vendetta against Endeavor, they knew he had some relation to her.
To dangle a rope in front of him, a rope of lies that they would never their end of, it just pissed him off.
The next time he sees Hawks, he'll make some roasted chicken.
The heroes were getting off their backs, he'll give Deku that.
Who would have thought that the Rat Bastard was that desperate for the Items. He's honestly glad that Deku went out and made the deal with him. The Rat Bastard was scarier than the entire criminal Underworld when he got serious.
So times are returning to normal, sort of. UA now has a small supply of Power Weapons, We have a connection with UA, and a bunch of Pro Heroes are losing their jobs.
Now Deku has been up to something else, he and Kai have been building something for Stain. The workshop is still abuzz with activity while Kai's been messing around with chemicals and medicines.
...
...
He's going to let Stain out onto the field. It's obvious that he's making Stain a new vigilante persona.
This will either succeed with amazing results, or crash and burn so badly that the Guild will go down in history as a villain group.
It's crazy how easy it is to push Heroines to act. One big offer from the Comission and they'll do anything. Just a chance to live the highlife and they'll smudge the line.
Just one little letter and they'll turn tail and flee.
Of course, some are far more stubborn than others.
So he'll follow through. He's not the kind to simply make a threat and not make due. He wouldn't be the principle of UA if he didn't follow through on his threats.
So what if a few heroines lose their jobs? The Comission can't even touch him so they won't save them. They're just as ruthless as he was, they'd throw anyone under the bus just as quickly as he would.
But that's beside the point. He now has a cache of powerful weapons, ones that both the Comission and I-Island were vying for. It was only a matter of time before they come knocking on his door with either warrants or threats.
He's prepared for whatever they might throw at him.
Denki starred into his eyes, he stared back. They sat across from one another with only a plate between them. On that plate rested a single snack.
It was a spur of the moment, both were concentrating as hard as they could. It will just take one little bit of movement, one eerie twitch, then they'll strike.
Jirou was staring at them from a distance. Her face somewhere between amused and intrigued as she watched their stare down.
It was barely a moment before their hands moved in a blur.
Denki's hand was slower.
Sero took a joyful bite of the last snack while Denki sulked over the loss. Jirou just laughed at the scene while approaching them. "Well, looks like Sero got the last cookie." she said in a playful manner. Denki just continued to sulk at his loss while Sero chuckled.
"Looks like its seventeen to thirteen, advantage mine." Sero stated. Denki seemed to break out of his sulk and stared him down with a fire in his eyes. "Next time I'll beat you at this." he proclaimed. "Maybe in a year, but for now I'm still the winner." Sero responded.
"So, you boys done with your game now?" Jirou asked. The two nodded in response while sitting up from their spots. "So, which movie are we going to watch first?" She asked while holding up a small stack of them. "Since I'm the winner, it's my choice. So we'll be watching-".
Before Sero could say his choice, the sound of glass breaking and a woman screaming echoed through the apartment. The trio turned towards the door, Sero quickly running to grab his bat while Denki took one of the chairs in his hands. Jirou grabbed her bag and pulled out a set of mace.
It was not long before the screaming stopped and Sero slowly approached the door. Before he could even open it something burst through it and slammed through the group.
There was tension in the air, less than ten minutes ago a Noumu was reported attacking an apartment building.
The same building that Denki and Sero live in.
There wasn't any Guild meetings at the moment, it's far to early for that. But Tokoyami was always watching, always listening in to those little tidbits of information.
So when someone attacks the home of two members, they all know about it.
They gather quickly and ready themselves with suits and Power Weapons.
There was no sign of anyone within the Noumu's grasp, yet they couldn't call either Denki or Sero.
Even as they trailed after the Noumu, they noticed that they were also being trailed. There were many Heroines following them, there were many eyes in the shadows.
It was only after Owl and Puppet hooked the Noumu with reinforced cable and Tracer Knives did the chase stop. Most of the heroes ignored them, preferring to surround and detain the Noumu.
From the dark alleys, eyes were cast out and inquires were made.
Even with all this, with all the heroes ready to take the Noumu down.
They couldn't find anyone, just some dust and a bag full of marbles.
When Denki awoke, he found himself tied to a chair in the middle of a cold room. Not far away was Sero, also tied to a chair but still unconscious.
His mind was a blur as he tried to remember what happened when the door broke down. The Noumu did something to them, then some eccentric looking villain took them away. He had no idea where he is, or what happened to Jirou.
He isn't the best at waiting things out, his feet are tapping on the ground while his breathing grew erratic. He wasn't going to panic, not horribly anyway, but there's so much that could go wrong.
All he can do is wait, and hope he gets out of these restraints before whoever kidnapped them returns.
The Guild has grown more tense as of late. They had little leads on just who had taken Denki and Sero. The League was the obvious culprit, but they had to know just what happened. Jirou was the only witness they could get close to, but she's in the hospital being treated for her injuries.
It was up to Tokoyami to track them down. His hours rapidly becoming a non-stop cycling through the streams of information that flowed through the web. Security footage, witness reports, rumors being spread through forums and such; all being skimmed through for any possible lead.
But that left the question; Why go after Denki and Sero?
The issue was the amount of answers applicable to it.
The League could have put two and two together and assumed both of them were members of the Guild. It could be some sort of purge against the few males left in the prefecture. Their leader, an infamous legend in the villain communities if rumors are correct, may be trying to experiment with them. Hell; Noumu projects, interrogation, maybe even forced recruitment.
There were lots of reasons.
So here Tokoyami was, contacting an info broker with possible connections to the League. The info around this individual was sketchy at best, absolutely wrong at worst. One Miss Giran, armed with an unknown Quirk that makes it difficult to remember details about her.
Not that he's going alone, both Midoriya and Hitoshi are shadowing him in full suit. He even has a small vest underneath his jacket that works similarly to the Shadow Suit.
He breathed in deeply, a small brief case by his side filled with items to bribe and barter. The moment he enters the alleyway, he'll be making a deal that he may regret.
So he walks in anyway.
They're prepping for war, that's all that could be used to describe what we're doing. Midoriya's been ramping up his work with the Items, Tokoyami and Hitoshi are tearing through the gathered information, Katsuki and Kirishima have been tearing their way through the training room.
It's obvious that whatever Tokoyami got from that broker has got them ready for a fight.
Of course they can only watch as, mostly stuck helping comfort Jirou as Denki and Sero were taken right in front of her. It's hard, but they know that the boys will succeed. They're too stubborn to stop and too prepared to fail.
Doesn't mean that they aren't worried for what abouts to happen to them.
Someone came in, they poured in sleeping gas before they entered the room. The only reason he knew was because of the bits of dirt that were now tracked through the room. Sero was still out cold, but he could see beads of sweat on his head and the unease in his legs.
He hopes that the others will be here soon. He doesn't want to imagine being forced into slavery, or being turned into a Noumu.
The two way glass was an excellent idea, just watching the two boys as they remained in the room. Periodic cycles of chems made sure neither would be awake at the same time. Right now they could see the look of panic and fear edged on the face of one Denki Kaminari.
Soon, very soon, they'll have the rest of the Guild in their clutches.
After all, they stole one of their favorite toys and ruined their plans so many times.
So yeah, it's been over two weeks since my last update. Spend last week camping with my family and the week before that slowly getting used to having work from mid afternoon to late night shifts.
I'm sorry if this chapter doesn't feel like it's been worth the wait. I've had a lot on my mind lately. I still hope you enjoy it.
Have a good day and see you all later.
