A/N Found this last night while working on some chapters. Love it or hate it, it's going up. I don't own glee or any of it's characters or storylines.
Quinn stared at the ad with her third glass of wine and a mixture of feelings.
She had first stumbled upon it by accident when she was unpacking her belongings in her new home in the different part of the city. Doing so by unwrapping a glass vase from one of the boxes wrapped in news paper.
She and her family had just moved there for her new job opportunity. She had just brushed it off but than stumbled upon it two more times on separate items from different boxes.
It wasn't only because she found it odd but also that she could feel her soul pulling towards it.
Quinn was currently married but separated with a daughter but for some reason she had red the name of the company 'fantasy' She went on to the website and browsed.
Nothing stood out to her and so she assumed she'd just sate her curiosity but before she could log off, the words 'The wife experience' caught her eye.
She bit her lip before taking the plunge and clicking on it. It opened up a quick summary that sounded very appealing and now the thought of trying it ate away at her.
She would be alone for the entire week because her family was back in her old house tying up everything that needed to be done there.
She stared for another 10 minutes before picking up her phone dialing the number and listen to it ring with bated breath. A man's voice clear, masculine and pleasant answered.
"Hello."
"..." Quinn didn't speak she was frozen.
"Hello? How may I help you?" Was said with so much calm assurance that Quinn finally released her breath.
"Yes.. I uh.." Quinn hesitated as she floundered for her words but it seemed this man had experience with this before and there was a smile in his voice.
"What do you need, beautiful? I'm more than sure we can assist you."
Quinn shut her eyes before the words tumbled out with out permission. "...The wife experience?"
LATER THAT NIGHT.
Quinn was on auto pilot. She was given the address to one of the most modest but all American homes that should be on the cover of magazines.
She was given instructions to get the key from beneath the welcome home mat. Her fingers shook in anticipation and slight fear.
For all she knew she could be walking into a situation she'd never be able to walk out of again. She licked her lips nervously as she slipped the key into the slot. Turning the key she took one last deep breath before entering the home.
Upon entering the atmosphere was warm and cozy. The house decor screamed domestication and safety.
She began walking through the almost quiet house save for the low soft sound of a melody only a true pianist could achieve.
She followed the music until she reached a gorgeous kitchen and jumped in silent surprise upon finding a woman.
She was dressed in a pair of black slacks that could be a cross between masculine and feminine quality. Her top a white semi loose fitting button down top with a quarter of the sleeves rolled up. Her dress shoes just as black as her slacks, shined softly in they're class. The woman's hair was loosely curled to her mid back but that's all the blonde could see because the woman had her back to her.
Quinn startled once again as the softest, most sweetest voice like liquid honey she had ever heard from another adult spoke.
"Good evening, beautiful." The woman spoke than turned around to give the blonde her undivided attention.
Quinn's lips parted as a soft gasp escaped her throat. Quinn was captivated.
The woman had to be the beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her dark chestnut hair, chocolate eyes and bronze skin just did something to her but the blonde didn't nor couldn't disrobe what.
The brunette wiped her hands on the towel before placing it on the counter top.
She walked over to the blonde grasping her hands in her own, sending a tingling sensation to the silent blonde's body.
The brunette lightly placed a kiss to Quinn's cheek before gently tugging her hand and guiding her to the kitchen table.
Quinn was still in awe of the woman before her. She felt her mouth dry and salivate at the same time, which she had never experienced before. The brunette pulled out her chair and adjusted it accordingly as the blonde sat.
"Your just in time for dinner. I made your favorite, roasted lamb with pomegranate garlic and herb potatoes with a side of asparagus." The brunette said as she began bringing the food to the table.
After setting everything on the table the brunette began serving the wine. Quinn was in awe of the gorgeous set up and food. It looked delicious.
The blonde finally found her words after getting over the initial shock.
"Thank you."
The brunette's eyes lifted instantly to hers and smiled with affection her eyes twinkling. "I'm happy you approve. So, how was your day?"
Quinn wasn't expecting to actually speak very much but she did pay for this experience so she licked her lips and spoke.
"Well, I.. I just finished unpacking the house. I had my first day yesterday at work. I-I work at the theatre. I met with the producers and a few other people. I have to be honest, there are two people that I can just tell I'm not going to like working with.." Quinn said as she began speaking she was a little awkward and nervous but by the end of her sentence she was shaking her head negatively light with resignation.
"Why do you think that is?" The brunette ask and the blonde nearly forgetting who she was talking to looked up in surprise.
"We-Well.. Honestly?" Quinn ask and the brunette nodded with pure curiosity shining in her understanding eyes.
"They're complete idiots." Quinn said bluntly causing the brunette's eyes to widen a fraction than her lips parted as the most beautiful laugh the blonde has ever heard, other than her daughters, hit her in a way she couldn't let go of.
She knew that laugh was going to haunt her for the rest of her life.
The brunette's eyes shined with mirth and hilarity. Her face blushing with humor. "Please do tell, what did the 'idiots' do to upset you?"
Quinn couldn't help her own giggles and her cheeks warmed pink as she felt herself relax. That's all it took for the blonde to release all that had happened the pass few weeks.
All that built up stress falling from her shoulders as the woman listened with compassion and understanding.
Outraged and appalled in the offense for the blonde. She was also charming, smooth, and eloquent as she captivated Quinn her own knowledge of theatre.
Quinn has never met any one who wasn't a part of the theatre scene to be so enthralled when discussing it.
It was refreshing to hear the woman's different views and points. They talked all through dinner and dessert. In which Quinn discovered the woman's hilarious humor.
After dinner they went for a walk. There was no holding hands, they walked with three feet between them, and, even in the silence the blonde felt so... god she didn't know what she was feeling but whatever it was she had never felt it before.
"Do you like to read?" The brunette asked out of no where.
"Yes, you?"
"I do. I was just wondering if you know 'A Fine Balance'?" The brunette with a smile. "It's by Rohinton Mistry."
"No, I don't believe I've ever even heard of it, to be honest."
"Well, if you're inclined to read something new, you should read it. It's a good book."
"I'll look into it. So have you ever read Balzac and the little Chinese seamstress?"
The brunette scrunched her face up adorably in thought. "Actually... no I don't think that I have. Is it any good?"
"You'll just have to read it and find out, won't you?"
"I guess so." The brunette replied with sparkling eyes and a smitten smile.
Before the blonde had made the appointment for the experience she made it clear that she did not want the happy ending. In fact, she declined any physical intimacy which now she wants to kick herself for because the woman escorted her to her car. Wish her good night and to please get home safely, without a kiss made Quinn want to punch herself in the face.
All Quinn ever wanted is to loved. To be heard. To be cherished. That's something her father, mother, and, past boyfriends couldn't do. Now she had her husband to add to the list.
That was her only requirement. To be with someone who not only loved who she is inside and out but also showed how much she meant to them in the time they spent together.
In one evening the brunette had done that and more without even laying a finger on her and because of that she's afraid now.
Because what she experienced tonight is addicting. She wanted it to end with a kiss. She wanted it to end affectionate touches. She wanted it to end in physical satisfaction but because of her own stupidity, it ended with a friendly goodnight.
The entire drive home all she could think about was the brunette and how much she wished she had been brave enough to get the full experience. To have the brunette make her moan her name in a way she never has with anyone before.
It wasn't until Quinn just pulling into her driveway that she realized not once did she find out the woman's name. Not once had she said Quinn's name.
She simply called her "Beautiful."
