Full summary: Umbridge attacks Hedwig once more, injuring her worse than the last time. Harri decides she's had enough, and the Wizarding World can go hang itself for all she cares. All she needs to do is get the homicidal psychopath off her back somehow... Got the idea from Hedwig's Hurt, Harry Snaps by Genuka, so I don't even own much more than the general idea. Not a straight copy-and-paste, and I apologize right now if it comes off that way or if I accidentally step on any toes. I swear it won't look so much like the same story next chapter! Fem!Harry, Creature!Harry, Sane Tom Riddle, Manipulative Dumbledore, Ron Weasley Bashing, Hermione Granger Bashing, Molly Weasley Bashing. Don't like, don't read. Sorry, not sorry. ENJOY!

"HEDWIG!" The entire Hall goes quiet at Harriet's - rather, Harri's - scream of her Familiar's name. She scrambles out of her seat, Neville and the Weasley Twins moving out of the way to give her an easier time of it, and barely manages to catch her wounded owl.

The Snowy Owl more fell into Harri's arms than flew, and the patch of red coating the brilliant white feathers is sticking out like a Stunner in the night - impossible to miss, and all too clearly saying Hedwig is very injured. More so than last time before Winter Break.

Luna quickly comes over as Neville and the Twins clear a space on the table for the blonde Ravenclaw to heal Hedwig, and Harri hands her over and watches long enough to make sure her best friend in the entire bloody world will be alright.

And then she turns towards the Professor's table, face a mask of pure rage as she snarls "Accio Umbitch!" Umbridge gets summoned by the throat from the Headmaster's seat, losing her wand in the process of being dragged across her food and smearing it all over the front of her pink robes. The dead silence is only broken by the woman's screeches of 'how dare you-' - and then she's bound and silenced by the Twins, cutting off any further protests.

The look on Harri's face has a lot of the Gryffindor's moving away from her, never having seen her quite so furious, and the rest of the student population reevaluating whether or not its worth getting on her bad side as she says "Well, you bloody toad, I think it's time I introduce you to my relatives' ideas of 'discipline.'"

The look Fred and George Weasley exchange tips off the Professors that this is so not something that qualifies as a harmless punishment, even as they start calling for everyone fourth year and below to take their breakfasts and go. Along with anyone who doesn't do well at the sight of blood. A loud snapping sound accompanies that particular proclamation, and several students look over to see Harri's just broken Umbridge's right femur. Badly, at that.

Draco Malfoy goes pasty white at the realization that Harri was not joking, his comment about wanting to see what her relatives thought was 'discipline' dying on his lips.

"Potter."

Harri doesn't look up from Umbridge at the warning tone, laced as it is with concern, just says "She attacked my Familiar, Professor Snape." Still, the Potions Master has no illusions that she's ignoring him - he can feel the weight of her furious magic, as it targets him and seems to wait for him to make one wrong move. He has a large portion of her attention, if not her full attention, she's just keeping her gaze pinned on her current victim.

From the tone of her voice, he realizes there's no actually stopping Harri from retaliating short of knocking her out altogether, and from the way her magic is currently coming off her in waves that's not very possible. Merlin, he didn't think she actually had that much magic in her.

That tone of voice also says that, even if there weren't laws about Familiars, attacks on them, and legal retaliation, she'd be retaliating. It says the woman went too far this time, and Harri's had enough.

The sound of Umbridge's other femur shattering tells everyone the woman may well not survive this.

He swallows drily, then says "Minerva, get everyone bar Potter and Umbridge out of here." Harri chuckles, sounding far too much like Bellatrix herself right then for his comfort - right, wasn't Dorea Black her Grandmother? Bloody hell…

"Let 'em stay. Let anyone who wants to watch this toad get eviscerated stay."

Both Umbridge's hands get crushed, and Severus says "I can't let you kill her, I'm afraid, even if this is perfectly legal. Perhaps an alternative solution? If only to avoid the mess she'll make and the stains?"

Harri shrugs, saying "Shame. Although, the mess wouldn't have been much of a problem. I've gotten blood out of stuff without magic hundreds of times before, you see." She starts flicking her wand in a mimicry of writing, and the words 'I torture students with a Blood Quill' carve themselves onto Umbridge's stomach. "As for an alternative…I suppose I could send her to Voldy, along with a note asking for some kind of truce or some such. I'm through fighting for these people, you see." Harri then turns the woman over, and carves 'I attack people's Familiars to get to them' onto the pink-clad Witch's back in the same manner as before. Which has Draco going paler than a ghost, and scrambling to get out of the room.

Severus has to wonder, just then, if the attack on Hedwig unleashed the Black Family Madness in Harri - Bellatrix miscarried after a raid gone horribly wrong, and lost her mind from it altogether. The Order subsequently lost the ones that Cursed the woman when they were cornered by her, and they spent a week finding bits and pieces of them.

"Does he allow children to get hurt? If so, I won't work with him. If not…I don't know, we'll see what happens."

Severus shakes his head, saying "No, he doesn't. Your case is special, due to…circumstances. Things that Dumbledore insists on keeping from everyone else involved that I cannot speak of due to a Vow he made me take. I can, however, act as a go-between if this is a serious peace offering?"

Harri finally glances up at the Potion's Master, with cold dead eyes, and nods. "That…yes, please. Hold on, let me write a note. I've no idea what I'm doing, by the way, or if this is even a thing. But if it gets him off my arse…" She quickly Transfigures an abandoned plate of food into a roll of parchment, a quill, and a bottle of ink, and starts writing at a breakneck - or hand, perhaps - speed.

Once she's finished, she dries it with a spell, rolls the parchment up, and hands it to the dark-haired man before summoning every bit of Bacon in the room onto a plate. Then heads to Luna, who's holding a mostly-healed Hedwig - never noticing the turmoil her comment of not knowing if Peace Offerings were a thing or not made. Because it is, it most certainly is, and by all accounts she should've known that as she's the Potter Heiress.

Luna says "Keep her with you for a few days, Harri. She needs to know that she protected you. Did you know she sees you as not just her Witch but her chick?"

Harri hums, settling Hedwig onto the arm with the bacon and starting to run her fingers through her feathers, then says "I suspected, honestly. What with her making me eat at least half the can of soup we'd get a day at the Dursleys that first summer, or kicking up a fuss when I tried to give her some of my magic if I wasn't healing from a beating or worse from when Vernon would get drunk."

She's so out of it, between petting Hedwig and calming down, that she never notices the way Luna looks more like a vengeful fae with her dark look rather than the spacey blonde the rest of the school knows. "Why would she make such a fuss? Was she chasing away Wrackspurts? Or did she just know you were losing too much blood?"

Harri feeds Hedwig a piece of bacon by hand, saying "Probably the blood. It's a bit hard to clean up when your still bleeding, but I managed well enough. Though, it smells terrible when there's that white or yellow stuff mixed in that makes the injury hot and tender. Aunt Petunia always made me throw away anything that it got on, or I'd have to wash it in still-bubbling water with that soap that burns my hands for hours afterwards."

Suffice it to say, the main portion of the student population is in an uproar by the time Harri leaves with Hedwig still on her arm, and word spreads like wildfire about what Harri said.

Severus gets Umbridge to Malfoy manor, still reeling over everything that happened. Her attack on Harri's familiar made the girl's retaliation not only acceptable, but perfectly legal.

He gets the distinct feeling that Harriet Lily Potter is simply done. Done with the Wizarding World, done with the constant threats to her life, done with everything.

And the attack on Hedwig, a bird he knows for a fact Harri is extremely attached to - to the point of preferring the bird's company over other humans' - is apparently the last straw. Familiars are sacred in the Wizarding World, they help with both a Witch or Wizard's magic and their physical and mental wellbeing - something that Hedwig apparently does rather well, as Harri's magic stopped swirling around her looking for another target to inflict her fury on when Hedwig was returned to her mostly healed. Attacking a Familiar is tantamount to attacking the Witch or Wizard themselves - practically an assassination attempt, if the Familiar is killed and the bond between them is strong enough.

All of which makes Umbridge an extremely powerful peace offering, made all the more confusing by the detail that she wasn't even sure it'd work or would be recognized. The look on Lucius' face is one of utter shock when he learns just who did all that to Umbridge, as it looks far too similar to some of the torture Bellatrix did after losing her unborn daughter, and who the peace offering is for - utterly priceless, in all honesty.

An hour later, filled with explanations, Severus is kneeling in front of the Dark Lord as he Crucio's Umbridge - for torturing his foe, no less, as Severus doesn't doubt that what Harri carved into the woman's body was true. And, because she honestly deserved the Crucio'ing - she's the kind of bigot that the Dark has been actively trying to get rid of, filled with prejudice and hatred towards everything she considers inferior to herself. Namely, all the 'Dark' Creatures and 'Halfbreeds' she's so very against.

"So, Potter's been pushed to her limits at last." He doesn't know her well enough, despite the mind link they somehow share, to know just what her thoughts might be or what she'll most likely do next, but he could see a few things from that last memory alone.

She's highly attached to her bird, something he's declaring off-limits to everyone to keep her from losing it and hunting them all down - because, from her expression while doing all that damage to Umbridge, she most certainly would. He actually felt what he assumes to be her own rage, it overwhelmed him and he went to go demolish all the training dummies in the dueling ring so as to keep from killing everyone in sight. If that laugh she made, so close to Bellatrix's own insane cackles at times, is any indication of her mental state…yeah, that bird cannot die.

And then he reads the note written by the girl, one that's asking about his original offer and saying that she's willing to consider it if he can guarantee that she won't be harmed if she joins.

And, incidentally, she wrote that she declined it last time because she was under the impression he'd simply finish what he started nearly eleven years earlier that day, that she wanted to live, but now…she doesn't care. The last bit is only implied, but he can read between the lines well enough to read that she doesn't care, anymore, what happens to this world and the people in it that've turned on her so completely. He accepts the peace offering, ending the conflict between them, and says "Go back to Hogwarts for now, Severus. Keep an eye on her. My return gift…will need time to prepare."

And come up with, this isn't going to be an easy one to match, as there's only a few things that will be acceptable and most of them require her consent while the other involves killing someone.

He also removes several spells on Severus that were twisting his feelings, encouraging him to hate Harri and see her as her father reborn - all cast by Dumbledore, unsurprisingly. Though, after the Potions Master is gone…he has to wonder about the feelings he's getting from the link between them. Because, if they really are Harri Potter's feelings…she's just done. Completely and utterly done with everything.

Merlin help him, he should probably avoid the yearly confrontation if he wants to survive, Horcruxes to be absorbed or not.

Hell, especially once he absorbs all his remaining Horcruxes.

AN: Hey, everyone! Ok, so, don't flame me, but...I just need some time to think up some moments around the world for 'Girl Who Survived.' I've gotten some great reviews with suggestions, but now I need to find places IN those places with things to do. Or create some Magical Communities like Egypt has, that's definitely happening in at least Greece, Rome, and Ireland.

So...I had to come up with something else to give you all in the meantime, and it ended up being this. I never did get any feedback on my question in the rewritten Prologue of 'Bloom in Asgard' so i just decided to roll with it. You guys have said you like my writing before, so I hope you like this as well.

On the bright side, I'll be pairing rewritten chapters of 'Bloom in Asgard' with these! So, at least there's that, right? Anyway, enjoy! I hope you like this, I was reading the story mentioned above and it just hit me over the head - 'hey, what if Harry decided to leave? And wanted Voldy off his back?' And, ta-da, this was born. And, honestly, it wouldn't leave me alone, so I started writing it to make it at least progress.

Also, if anyone could tell me whether or not I can use pics I found on Google and edited slightly, I'd be REALLY grateful. Or even pics from Google in general - don't know, so I haven't tried, and I'm no artist when it comes to drawing. Seriously, can't even draw a straight line, not even if it would save my life.
