Subaru's eyes would open, as he would give out a yawn. The night before was the knighting ceremony, so he had stayed up quite late and felt a bit groggy right now. Still, that didn't stop him from noticing the situation he was in.

"What the hell?"

Pushing himself up, Subaru would notice he was on the ground in the outdoors… All around him would be a tropical forest. Fear would spread across his face as a horrible thought would hit him. Was he isekaied away again, after all, that he has been through? He went through hell, only to lose everyone around him again! Or at least that's what he thought.

His yelling of 'what the hell' awakened a few others. From a bush nearby a longish neck would emerge with a reptilian head at the end. It was Patrasche, waking up. She'd stand up, confused about where she was at and what woke her up, before setting her eyes on Subaru. The ground dragon walked over to him, giving a nudge while she gave a little one of her coos.

Subaru's eyes would widen, as he realized he wasn't alone. It wasn't all for nothing. He shot up from the ground, calling out purposefully into the jungle this time.

"HEY! ANYONE OUT THERE?"

As if on cue, two more heads would pop up, one after another, in the close distance. The first one would be Emilia, a look of confusion across her face as she would realize she too was in a tropical jungle. She had never been in one before, but she had heard stories of them in the Vollachia Empire. Right next to her Beatrice's head would pop up, as she would look around with a face of curiosity and confusion, before noticing him and rushing over to him, jumping into his arms.

"Betty demands to know where she and her contractor are, in fact!"

"Subaru, what is this place?"

Emilia and Beatrice would both ask in quick succession. Emilia stood up, walking towards the now standing Subaru who was holding Beatrice. Subaru would let out a sigh of relief seeing at least two more of his friends were fine. Maybe his other allies were somewhere else in this jungle.

"Hah, I don't actually know, but it looks like some sorta forest."

He would say, giving a glance around. As he looked around, he thought he saw something big flying in the sky… But it was quickly hidden by the covers of trees. Subaru assumed he must've just imagined it; I mean he did just wake up in a tropical jungle after all. It could've just been a bird. Well, he was isekaied again so he couldn't rule out the possibility of it being something like a dragon. Still, its best to figure out where he was first and foremost.

"We need to figure out where we are."

"Betty agrees with her contractor, I suppose. It'd be best to figure out where we are, in fact, and get back to the mansion as soon as possible."

Emilia would nod her head in response, as she would stroke Patrasche's head.

"Mmhmm! It'd be reallllyyyy bad to scare everyone with us being gone."

"That's right Emilia-tan! Once we know where we are, we can figure out how we got here."

Subaru would say, not really wanting to spill the beans that they might have been transported into another world. He needed to be absolutely sure first, as if he wasn't he could be seen as a madman. Now, he would look in a random direction, and just point at it.

"Let's walk that way!"

Emilia would give a small laugh at Subaru's upbeat attitude, while Beatrice would begin walking that way along with Subaru. Patrasche would be following close behind, as Emilia would also. What they didn't know is that this was the beginning of a journey the likes of which they have never encountered before.

One-hour Later

At this point, they had gotten quite tired after walking so long through the jungle, all of them except Patrasche of course. They still had little to no idea of where they were, and each of them was now starting to get worried. Were they lost in a jungle?

"Damn it! Where are we even?"

Such a journey really dehydrated Subaru and made him quite hungry. Walking through a jungle is one of the most tiring things you can do after all. Emilia shared these feelings, which is surprising since she is usually significantly more fit than Subaru… Weird.

Everyone would've collapsed onto a log as Patrasche sat down on the ground.

"If you are reallllyyyy that tired I can use my magic and make a pillar into the sky."

"Yes please! It's really hot out here."

"Betty agrees that you should use your magic, I suppose."

Emilia would nod her head while standing up, and with a smile, she would attempt to form a pillar with her ice magic… But nothing came out. Nothing happened. She tried again, and again as an expression of worry would increasingly spread more and more across her face. Nothing was working.

"Emilia-tan, what's wrong?"

Subaru would ask with unease in his tone. He and Beatrice had noticed something was up, especially since she wasn't making the pillar.

"My magic! It isn't working!"

Emilia called out in shock. Were they going to be stuck roaming this forest now?

"What?!"

"One moment, I suppose."

In fear, Subaru called out. This might've just confirmed his suspicions. There was no magic, or at least it wasn't working. What did this mean for Beako though? Subaru was now worried. Would Beako disappear soon without any mana?

Beatrice would've stood up as she would close her eyes and start focusing.

"There is no mana. Betty can sense not a single bit of mana in the atmosphere or in our bodies, I suppose… Not even mine. Something seems to be supporting her without the assistance of your mana."

An expression of shock would be across Beatrice's face as she looked at her contractor. No mana, that was something unheard of. Every lifeform had mana and a gate, yet they all seemingly had their mana disappear without dying.

"No… Stop joking Beatrice!"

Emilia called out to her, refusing to believe what she just said. This seemed impossible. How could such a thing happen? No, Beatrice had to be wrong. This couldn't happen.

"Emilia-tan… I think Beako is right. How can you explain not being able to use your magic?"

Her eyes would be filled with disbelief. How could this happen? Where were they even…?

"What do we do then? How do we get back to everyone? We are in Vollachia, an enemy kingdom, with no magic…"

Subaru would be smacked like a bullet with a statement… They didn't know. He was isekaied and had a clue to what was happening, but they didn't. They thought they were in a foreign enemy kingdom. That hit Subaru with the dilemma. Does he tell them what happened? Or does he keep it a secret for as long as possible?

He would be debating in his head about this for a few seconds, while everyone around him was silent with looks of weariness and fear. Each of them looked at him… He was always the one who saved them. Subaru was the man with the plan, but little did they know he didn't have a plan this time. He might not be able to save them all.

This silence went on for a few minutes before something would sound from a few meters away past some dense trees… Some loud and weird sounding calls, before they heard a man, seemingly speaking to someone.

"There you are."

Emilia, Subaru, and Beatrice would go silent hearing this voice. Subaru would hesitate for a few seconds, before giving a silent motion with his hands to go towards the noise quietly. Curiosity got the better of him it seemed, as they would go sneak over to where they heard the noise, leaving Patrasche alone for a little bit.

The trio without a word would look through the foliage sneakily, making sure to let out not even a peep. What they would see was weird, to say the least. From Emilia's and Beatrice's perspective, they saw a beast they've never seen before… It stood just under 6 feet tall and just above 10 feet long. It clearly wasn't a mabeast, as it lacked a horn, but it didn't seem to be a ground dragon either. Its grey coloring with a blue racer stripe was unique compared to what they've seen before.

Subaru on the other hand knew what it was. A dinosaur, in the flesh and blood… And in front of the dinosaur was a man who appeared quite muscular, standing at a few inches above six feet. He had some clicker in his left hand and held his right hand out in front of the dinosaur. From Subaru's perspective that was a really bad idea. I mean, c'mon. What's stopping the dinosaur from just biting your arm off?

"Hey, girl. You miss me?"

The man would say before the creature would let out a type of squawk-like sound.

"Easy. Hey!"

The creature would hiss, as it walked slowly towards them. Subaru wanted to jump out to try and get the man out of dodge, but he restrained himself for now. It seemed like this guy knew what he was doing.

"Hey… I brought you something."

The man would say as he took out a little pellet of food. The creature would calm down a bit, though still keeping it's eyes directly on him.

"Here you go… That's right."

He tossed the pellet of food to the creature. Said food just hit its jaws and fell to the ground, as the animal let out a snarl. The dinosaur didn't make any attempt to eat it. Subaru started feeling like this would go south again, and it seemed like Emilia and Beatrice felt the same by their worried expressions.

"Okay."

The man said with a bit of a worried tone, but he seemed to quickly calm himself. The creature let out a shriek.

"Hey."

The dinosaur would calm down a bit, starting to move its snout towards the man. The three started to realize these two had a connection, man, and beast.

"You know me… That's right."

The blue-striped creature fully calmed down at this point, and the man was almost touching its snout.

"That's right."

The creature at this point seemed tame, and the trio from the bushes noticed that the man and creature's relationship was somewhat like Subaru and Patrasche.

Out of nowhere, a dart hit the dinosaur's neck causing her to shriek as she turned around, accidentally knocking the man onto the ground, though he quickly got up. An expression of worry spread across Subaru's face as he could tell stuff was about to go south, and he was right. Men, mercenaries, with guns came out of the tree lines (luckily none of them bumping into the trio), something Subaru didn't like. Guns along with many inventions of his world were horrible devices of war in his eyes, that shouldn't exist… He would then realize... Guns. A piece of technological advancement of his world. Was he back in his world?

"I told you to wait for my signal! Back your men up right now!"

He would yell at them, before attempting to calm down the dinosaur again. A mercenary behind the man would be loading a gun. The dinosaur immediately took this as a threat, as it would jump at the mercenaries, knocking the man down again. The dinosaur landed on the mercenary as it would dig its claws into his face, threatening to rip his eye out of his socket. Subaru had to consciously stop himself from puking at the sight of the mercenary being mauled alive by a dinosaur. The mercenary would struggle to take out a pistol, as he would aim it at the dinosaur.

"No, hey, no, no, don't shoot her!"

It was too late. The man shot the dinosaur, the bullet embedding itself in its thigh as the creature would collapse to the ground.

"Wheatley, you son of a bitch!"

The man would charge at Wheatley, his anger being clearly plastered across his face, only to be shot by the tranq. He would stumble for a few seconds, seeing the tranq in his chest, before Wheatley gave a strong exhale to knock him down, as a kind of mockery. The man collapsed to the ground, just like the creature.

"Shit."

Subaru would say under his breath as he looked at the other two.

"Let's go, quick!"

Emilia and Beatrice nodded their head, as they crept backward away from the scene, going back towards Patrasche, Subaru following suit. All three felt one of the worst emotions there was, fear. They had no magic and no defenses, and from what Emilia and Beatrice saw, those men had metia that could instantly knock out a person.

As they arrived at where they left Patrasche a horrible sight was left to behold. She too was tranq'd, with many mercenaries surrounding her. They were moving her onto some sort of wagon, which Subaru knew to be a truck. They must've mistaken her for another dinosaur. This added yet another problem for Subaru to solve. He couldn't just let his ground dragon be taken! But still, he knew he had no chance right now… He had to retreat and recoup.

"Fuck."

Subaru would say as he turned back, motioning the other two to go back. If they could do this quickly, they might be able to escape unnoticed and rescue Patrasche later. If only it were that easy. Wheatly and his men would emerge from the foliage Subaru, Emilia, and Beatrice just left. Subaru was spotted along with his trio while they were escaping.

"Thought you could get away?"

Wheatley would say, as he fired a tranq straight into Subaru's chest, just as he did with the man. Subaru quickly pulled it out, but it was too late. He stumbled back, before falling to the ground.

"Subaru!"

Both Emilia and Beatrice would call, before Subaru's vision would fade to black. He succumbed to the effect of the tranq, Patrasche was taken, and he had no clue what would happen to Emilia and Beatrice.

Hello everyone! If you can't tell, this will be a Re:Zero/Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom fanfic. I'm still fairly new to all this, so criticism would be nice, especially if the characters are OOC. Not sure when I'll post the second chapter, but it will come!

Also, don't worry. I'll have other Re:Zero characters isekaied in as the story continues.
