Chapter 15-Living Life A Little

Clarke's P.O.V

It's been two days since Clarke has seen Lexa. Alice has been avoiding her. She had continued her training. Right now, she sat in bed drawing the Tower in Polis. She looked at her radio. She grabbed the radio. "Lexa," Clarke says. Clarke waits a few moments and gets ready to set her radio down.

"Clarke," Lexa says. "Is something wrong?"

"Did you mean it? What you said to me?" Clarke asks the Commander.

"Yes, I did," Lexa says.

"I was just wondering," Clarke says. "Bye,"

"Bye," Lexa says before Clarke turns her radio off. She stands up and walks outside. She sees Skylah and Jasper talking.

"Are we going to train today?" Clarke asks Skylah.

"We've been training non-stop for the last two days. Let's take a break today, Clarke. Maybe you should try talking to Alice," Skylah says.

"It would be easier to talk to my Mother," Clarke says. "I'll go hunting, I guess," Skylah nods as she watches Clarke walk away.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa walked into the throne room and saw Octavia sitting on her chair. "Why did I tell my guards you are to be allowed in here when I'm not?" Lexa asks.

"Because you love and trust me," Octavia says with a grin.

"Debatable," Lexa says. "Move," Lexa tells Octavia, who stands up. She looks at Lexa. "I don't like the look on your face. What do you want?"

"I have a question," Octavia says. "You seem happy,"

"That's not a question," Lexa says.

"Why do you seem happier?" Octavia asks.

"Clarke contacted me. On her own this time. She asked me if I meant what I said. Then she acted a little awkward," Lexa says.

"Maybe she is coming around after talking to you. That wasn't my question, by the way," Octavia says.

"What is it, Octavia?" Lexa asks.

"Well, we are in a time of peace right now. Nobody has seen anybody hunting Clarke. So right now, we have a break," Octavia says. "We were wondering if we could go to Tondc and check on the village,"

"Who are we?" Lexa asks.

"Me, Lincoln, Bell, and Ontari," Octavia says. "Maybe you,"

"Octavia, I have things to deal with. Titus, my flamekeeper who is locked up in a cell," Lexa says.

"He is locked up right now. Let him rot. Anya and Luna agree you could use the break. It's just a day or two," Octavia says.

"What about Roan?" Lexa asks.

"He went on a hunt this morning. Said he wouldn't be back till tomorrow," Octavia says. "Come on, Lexa. We even talked to Kane. Said they were celebrating all the work they got done,"

"Fine," Lexa says. "You sky people are a pain,"

"You love us," Octavia says.

"Don't push it," Lexa says as she leaves the room. Octavia follows her with a cheeky grin.

Monty's P.O.V

Monty walks into his house and sees Emori with her head back. "You look bored," Monty tells her.

"I am bored," Emori says. "Otan has been shadowing David, and I have been sitting in this house doing nothing,"

"Well, what do you want to do?" Monty asks her.

"Anything other than this," Emori tells him.

"Come on," Monty says as he stands up. He holds his hand up out to Emori, who grabs it with a smirk. She follows Monty outside.

"What are we doing, Monty?" Emori asks him.

"Lucas told me about an old bunker they found near here with a bunch of old tech stuff. I want to build more radios, and this place might have what I need. Now, do you want to come?" Monty asks.

"Why not ask, Raven?" Emori asks.

"Because Raven is doing something with Murphy and Connor. Come on," Monty says with excitement.

"Fine. But you are showing me a thing or two while we are out there," Emori says. Monty nods with a smile as she follows him.

Echo's P.O.V

Echo Kom Azgeda sat in the woods by herself. She watched the woods. After she had returned home, Lucy had banished her, not trusting that she would follow her. She held her sword in her and threw it against a tree. She turns when she hears a branch break and talking. She grabbed her bow and hood and threw them on her back. She climbed up into a tree and went towards the voices. She watched as Monty and Emori walked through the woods.

"Monty, how much further?" Emori asks.

"We're close," Monty says. "You said you wanted something to do," Echo watches the two and follows them until they get to a bunker. She watches them open the door together and go inside. She drops down and waits for them to come out behind a tree.

Anya's P.O.V

Anya walks into Titus's cell and sees the man sitting down. "What do you want?" Titus asks.

"How could you do it? How could you let Azgeda hurt her like they did?" Anya asks.

"I was protecting her," Titus tells her.

"You caused her so much pain. And even after the pain, you helped cause. She still found something to hold on to. She let Luna live and let Azgeda into her coalition. Lexa knows you were wrong, and you will die a traitor," Anya says to him. She spits in his face. "And the next flamekeeper will be better," Anya leaves the cell leaving Titus in the dark. She rides up the elevator and looks at Luna.

"Did that make you feel any better?" Luna asks her.

"Yes, it did," Anya tells her as she walks into the throne room with Luna. The ambassadors of the twelve clans were gathered. Anya sits in Lexa's chair.

"Where is the commander?" The Glowing tree clan ambassador asks.

"She is checking in on Tondc. I will be here in her place," Anya says as she looks at the new Azgeda ambassador.

"Who are you?" Anya asks.

"My name is Cody," Cody says. "I am the new Azgeda ambassador,"

"I figured that much out," Anya says. "Let's start this meeting," The ambassadors' nod.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa stops her horse at the stable and climbs out. Kane and Indra walk over to them. "Commander," Kane says as the others climb off their horses. "Here is a warning now. I told Abby about what happened in Tondc, and she is pissed,"

"That woman is always pissed at me," Lexa says. "It is nothing new,"

"Welcome to Tondc, Ontari," Indra says.

"Thank you," Ontari says.

"We have you set up in your home here, Heda," Indra says.

"Let Octavia and Lincoln have it," Lexa tells Indra, who nods. She motions a grounder over.

"Show Octavia and Lincoln to Heda's home," Indra says. He nods as he leads them away.

"Do you two mind sharing?" Indra asks Bellamy and Ontari.

"We'll be fine," Bellamy says. Indra nods as another guard leads them away.

"I'll sleep on one of the beds in the medical hut," Lexa tells Indra, who nods.

"Are you sure, Heda?" Indra asks.

"I will be fine, Indra," Lexa says. "But I should probably go face Abby," Kane and Indra nod as Lexa walks away. She walks into the medical hut and looks at Abby and Nyko.

"Hello, Nyko," Lexa says, making the two healers look at him.

"Heda, I have to go get more herbs," Nyko says as he leads. Lexa looks at Abby.

"I am sleeping in here today, and Kane said you were not happy with my decision to let Clarke go," Lexa says.

"You're right; I'm not. If I'm honest, I don't like you," Abby says.

"I know this," Lexa says.

"But I understand why you let her go. Did she seem well?" Abby asks.

"She looked amazing. She had her own swords. She had a stronger build, and her hair was kept back. She had been training, Abby," Lexa says. Abby nods.

"Thank you for telling me," Abby says. Lexa nods as she walks outside.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke runs through the woods and stops when she hears fighting nearby. She goes towards the fighting and sees a man fighting a panther. She pulls out her sword and goes down the hill. She stabs the panther as it takes the man to the ground. She pulls the sword out of the panther, and the panther falls to the ground. "Having fun, there buddy?" Clarke asks with a smirk.

"Thank you," The man says.

"I saw you in Polis. You killed the man on the platform," Clarke says.

"I did. My name is Roan Kom Azgeda," Roan says.

"So, you know Lexa?" Clarke asks as she puts her sword away.

"Yeah. You're Clarke," Roan says as he stands up. Clarke puts her hand on the sword.

"Yes, I am," Clarke says. "I just saved you. You owe me. Don't tell them you saw me,"

"You're good with that sword," Roan says.

"I have some good people training me," Clarke says.

"You want someone better?" Roan asks her.

"Are you offering to train me?" Clarke asks.

"Maybe I am," Roan says. "What would your answer be?"

"No, because you could be a spy for Lexa," Clarke says.

"I'm not. I was hunting. This is a serious offer. I will train you, and Heda will never know," Roan says.

"Why?" Clarke asks. "Why do you want to train me?"

"My mother banished me from Azgeda. I haven't done anything since. The Commander gave me an offer. She said if I help her get you, she will let me live in Polis. But she doesn't want me to kidnap you, so if she finds out I could save, I was trying to convince you to come back," Roan says.

"Fine," Clarke says. "We'll meet back here tomorrow," Clarke says as she grabs the panther. Roan nods as he goes the other way.

Emori's P.O.V

Emori and Monty walk out of the bunker with bags of tech. They stop when they see Echo standing in front of them. "Who are you?" Monty asks as he pulls his sword out.

"I am Echo Kom Azgeda," Echo says.

"You're Azgeda?" Monty asks. "Are you looking for Clarke?"

"No," Echo says. "I was banished from Azgeda by its new leader,"

"So why are you here?" Emori asks as she holds her sword.

"You all went somewhere, right? Where you live with Clarke and your other friends," Echo says.

"Yeah," Monty says. "Why?"

"I want to come back with you," Echo says to them.

"Why should we trust you? Your clan has been hunting our friends for weeks," Monty says.

"I've never felt more out of place. Like an outsider and I was never in Azgeda. I did what Nia wanted, and I didn't ask questions. I was banished. I have nothing left," Echo says.

"Throw your weapons on the ground," Monty says. Echo nods as she throws her weapons on the ground. Monty pulls a piece of cloth out of his bag and walks over to Echo. "Put this on," Echo wraps the cloth around her eyes, and Monty helps her walk as Emori grabs her weapons.

Outcast Falls

Monty's P.O.V

Monty walks Echo into Outcast Falls and takes her to his house. He looks at Jasper and Skylah. "Who is that, and why can't she see?" Jasper asks.

"Her name is Echo. She was banished from Azgeda," Monty says.

"And you wanted to give her a chance, so you blindfolded her," Jasper finishes.

"Yep," Monty says as he sits her down. He takes the blindfold off. She looks around.

"Nice house," Echo says.

"Thanks," Jasper says.

"Hey, Emori, remember how you said you wanted something to do," Monty says to Emori, who slowly nods. "Great you can watch, Echo,"

"I had a feeling it was going to be something like that," Emori says.

"I don't need a babysitter," Echo says.

"And we don't trust you. So either you have Emori watch you, or you can leave," Jasper says.

"Fine," Echo says as she sits back.

"Great. I'm going to go find Raven," Monty says as he leaves.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa sat down beside Kane, Indra, and Abby. It was dark, and the people of Tondc celebrated with dancing and drinking. Kane stands up and looks at Abby. "Come on," Kane says as he holds his hand out to Abby with a smile. Abby smiles as she grabs Kane's hand and follows him. Lexa looks at Ontari and Bellamy, who were talking. She looks at Octavia as she walks over to her with a smile.

"What is it?" Lexa asks. "I don't like your smile," Octavia grabs Lexa's hand and pulls her into the crowd. "Octavia, what the hell are you doing?"

"Making you have fun," Octavia says.

"You can't make me do anything," Lexa says to Octavia. "Go be your boyfriend's problem,"

"This was his idea," Octavia says as she starts to dance. "Come on, Lexa," Lexa lets a small smile out as she starts to dance with Octavia.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke knocks on Alice's door. Alice opens the door. "I don't want to talk," Alice says.

"Then just listen," Clarke says to Alice, who opens the door all the way and crosses her arms. "Look, I thought I was ready for another relationship. I thought just because I was here for a fresh start. I could forget everything that has happened before. But those things, good or bad, have made me who I am. You deserve someone who can treat you right. I'm not that person," Clarke tells Alice.

"Do you have feelings for her?" Alice asks.

"I don't know. But I know a part of me still hates her. Resents her for what she did. I haven't forgiven her, and I don't know I ever will. But I do know I can't be with anybody until I figure it out. I don't like Lexa. I know a part of me still hates her. More than a part of me. But I think there is a place in the back of my head that still cares about her," Clarke tells Alice, who nods.

"Hold on," Alice says as she goes back inside. She walks back out with two swords in sheaths. "I made these for you. They are stronger and a little lighter than those," Clarke grabs the sword and smiles.

"Friends?" Clarke asks Alice.

"Friends," Alice says as she hugs Clarke. Clarke hugs her back before she leaves. Clarke walks into her house and doesn't see Raven or Murphy. She walks into her room and sets the weapons down. She lays down and goes to sleep.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa walks into the medical hut and looks at Abby. "I thought you would be asleep," Lexa says.

"I was about to leave," Abby says. Lexa nods as she lays down. "Commander," Lexa looks at her. "You may be their leader. But you are still a person. And not a very old one. Enjoy life when you can and let your friends help you. We don't know how long we'll be alive for,"

"That is true, Abby," Lexa says.

"Good night, Commander," Abby says.

"Good night, Abby," Lexa says as Abby leaves the tent.

Thanks for reading. This was a more lighted-hearted chapter. And there will be those from time to time. We saw Echo joining Outcast falls. Also, the Clarke saving Roan idea was given to me by a reader. Not my idea, just so that is known. Also first chapter with no Raven or Murphy. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
