Harry Potter Uchiha: And The Philosopher's Stone | Prologue | Baby In The Night
On a dark misty night on privet drive an owl sat on a street sign looking for prey. Suddenly taking off into the darkness it vanished, but coming out of that same darkness a old man with a long white beard walked along. He wore peculiar clothes that would bizarre anyone who would walk by, but anyone who would recognise the clothing would see him as a wizard. And a wizard none other than Professor Albus Dumbledore.
He walked slowly up the street looking at the streetlights. Unknowingly to him a tabi cat sat by a shed and stared at the old professor, but this was no normal tabi cat. The professor took out a unfamiliar objected and pointed it at the lights. He opened the cap and one by one the streetlights began to sizzle out and the light themselves was sucked into the strange device.
The street now was completely dark a perfect cover for him, can't have any muggles peaking out now. *Meow!*. Dumbledore looked down and saw the same tabi cat look up at him. Immediately recognising the cat disguise Dumbledore smiled and said to the cat. "I thought you would be here, Professor McGonagall…".
The cat approached Dumbledore and as it did it began to change and now in its place was a senior woman wearing similar clothing to the Professor. "Good evening, Professor Dumbledore". He held his hand out to the street as they walked along to the place of their destination. "Are the rumours true Albus?". Albus looked at McGonagall and said "I'm afraid so Professor, the good and the bad". "And the Boy?...". "Hagrid is bringing him-". McGonagall unnerved asked "Are you sure it's wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?". Albus smiled to the Professor and said "Ah Professor, I would trust Hagrid with my life".
And as if on and a sound of a motor engine came to their ears. They looked to the sky and there was a bright light in the sky. As the light got closer to the ground it really was a bike with a giant man riding it. As the bike touched the ground it skidded to the side of the road and stopped near the Professor's.
The giant man presumably Hagrid turned off the motorcycle and pulled off his goggles. Hagrid turned to the Professor's. "Professor Dumbledore sir, Professor McGonagall". Hagrid climbed off the motorcycle and seemed to be carrying something in his arms. Albus loomed in and asked. "I hope their were no problems Hagrid?". "Not a problem sir, little tight feller fell asleep as soon as we flew over bristol". Hagrid then handed over the baby to Albus with a suggestion not to wake Him.
Albus with McGonagall following next to him had visible worryness on her face. "Albus?, do you really think it's safe?". "I've seen what type of people they are and they are the worst muggles imaginable!, they really are-!". "It's the only family he has here". Albus stated to McGonagall. But McGonagall protected saying. "But this Boy will be famous!, there won't be a person who won't know he's name!". "Yes but, it's better off if he grows up away from all that". "Until he is ready…".
Albus now proceed to put the Baby on the door step but distant sniffling of an upset Hagrid made Albus stop and reassure him. "There there Hagrid, it's not really goodbye after all. Hagrid rolled in his tears and nodded in agreement. Turning back to the doorstep Albus kneeled down and tucked what seemed like a special knife into the Baby's blanket. "Are you sure He should have that now Albus?" McGonagall asked confused. "If the day shall come when He wants to know, when He is ready." "This will provide some clarity, when He knows…".
Finishing off by putting a letter gently on the blanket Albus took one last look at the Boy for he will not see Him again for many years. "But for now good luck… Harry Potter".
