I DO NOT OWN NARUTO AND AOT

CHAPTER 1

She's scared.

She hadn't been this scared eversince she became a kunoichi. She hadn't been this scared when they did their first ever mission on the Land of Waves. She hadn't been this scared either when she beg Sasuke not to left the village. And she hadn't been this scared even when she was badly hurt in every of those dangerous missions.

But now...

She tried to forced her tears back into her eye sockets and focused on her work. She need to do it fast. She must not fail. Because if she didn't succeed, she wouldn't forgive herself. Her heart racing and pounding hard from her chest, she breathed air, again.

Sakura bent down once again to Naruto's lips as she continued to give him a CPR while pumping his heart as her arms slid from his opened left side and mimicking a person's normal heartbeat. Couple of minutes had past since Gaara took her with them using his sand heading to where Minato and Kakashi are and there was still no responses. But she didn't stop. She's tired and can feel her chakra decreased every second by healing Naruto's heart using her medical ninjutsu. She can see her hand glowing green from the cut that she had made.

Her eyes narrowed when her blonde teammate still didn't responded from all of her actions. She retreated her lips and shakily draw a breath only to do it all over again. She couldn't let Naruto die. Not here. Not when everyone is depending from him, in the middle of the war.

'Please...please don't you dare die on me Naruto! I won't let you die!'

Sakura chuckled with pain inwardly from the thought. She knew. She already knew that there's no life in him anymore but she still kept going because she couldn't take the fact that Naruto, their ball of sunshine, their hero... her friend was dead. Even when Gaara told her that there's no other way to save Naruto but to transplant Kurama's other half from Minato, she didn't want to just stare at him and do nothing. She knew that he has a chance to live but... but she still did this.

She is this scared for her friend. For Naruto...

Suddenly, all her memories with him flashed in her mind, every happy moments, their bickering, every sad days... everything. Why? Why did she thought of this? He is not dead, right? There is still a chance. But still. She is this scared.

"My, my, he's already dead? What a weakling." Her eyes widened in fear at the voice. She immediately parted her lips from his to look at the man. Uchiha Madara. Smirking at her while he followed their paced. She stared with fear evident on her face while scanning the man's new features. His hair white, paled skin with scale-liked texture, and the two rinnegan in his eyes.

'No... No this can't be...'

"Tch!" Gaara mumbled under his breath at the sight. Worry and fear filled his heart as he started to move faster with his sand not batting an eyelash to fully assist their current situation. He stared at Sakura from his peripheral vision and saw her eyes widened with fear, shock and lips parted slightly.

"Hey, you're the current Kazekage right?" He stared at Madara when he spoke to him with a smirk on his face. He didn't respond, but eyed him narrowly. "You knew very well that I am much faster compare to you so why bother?" Madara said with a fake confusion on his face.

Gaara cursed under his breath and began to fasten their paced again with his sand up in the air. Eyes still glaring on the crazy man a few meters beside him. He raised his hand to attacked him with his sands but Madara easily dodge them. "I won't let you get Naruto!" He shouted from the top of his lungs. He wouldn't let anything happen to Naruto after all the things that Naruto had done to him. Naruto was the one who changed his life. The one who gave him hope and light. His friend. His ally. He cannot stop right here. He needed to get to Minato as fast as he can. For Naruto.

He looked again at Sakura who was now glaring daggers at the man, her hands glowing green healing Naruto's side that she had sliced couple of minutes ago by her blade made of chakra. Tears flowing freely to her cheeks. He looked away and once again, fasten their paced.

"HAHAHAHA you sure are pain in the ass Kazekage brat. You see... Naruto had no chance to survive now. The remaining half chakra of that damn fox from that blonde Hokage are now inside of me. And you can't do anything about it unless you defeat me. Which I'm sure that you can't. HAHAHA! Now can we dance?" Gaara's eyes widened when the man suddenly kick his face at insane amount of speed the he had ever seen, he can't even defend himself.

"GAARA!" Sakura terrifiedly watched as Madara sent a kick at Gaara's face with a speed that much faster she had seen than what she had already seen he can do that sent Gaara flying thousands of feet to the direction where they came from. There is no way that Gaara would recover quickly from that impact. She clenched her fist and stop her jutsu to Naruto as she had already closed its opening. She glared her teared eyes at Madara who was now watching on how far Gaara will land. She can feel her rage building up, as she stand and focused her chakra to her feet so she will not fall from the harsh blow of wind that was passing her body.

'Naruto...Naruto will...'

"Y-you... H-how could someone like you fucking exist in this world?! You're a fucking monster! A fucking murderer! You're nothing but a crazy fucking old man who wishes peace by trapping everyone by their own desires inside your fucking nonsense genjutsu! Do you think everyone will liked that?! Then what? What will you do when you succeed?! Fall into you own fucking jutsu?! Is that it?!!!" Her tears finally flowing like a river from her eyes. She was pissed, to the point that she uses 'fucking' in her every sentence. Yeah. She was that pissed. Her palm started to bleed by clenching her hands tight so her nails dug deeper into her flesh. She glared at the man with no any reaction from what she had been said but was stopped when she can't feel the hard sand.

"W-wha--" Suddenly, Gaara's sand started to fall apart when she can't feel the solidness of it anymore, resulting of her and Naruto to fall. She cursed loudly and uses her ninja skills to catch Naruto's cold body from falling. No life at all. When she grabbed his torso she quickly hugged him and protected his head for the impact. She closed her tear stained eyes and braced herself for the pain when she couldn't focused her already low reserved of chakra to balanced herself and Naruto to land on their feet to the battered ground.

"U-ugh--" She couldn't help when lots of blood escaped her mouth as she felt their first fall. A loud cracked can be heard coming from her back ribs when it connected the messed up ground made of cement. The impact knocked up her lungs. The pain was unbearable. And it didn't stop there when they rolled continuously on the unleveled ground, they kept bouncing, and rolling many times but still she didn't let go of Naruto's lifeless body in her arms. Until seconds later, they came to a stop. Her back once again collided with the massive rock made from cement that was destroyed by the battle. Her eyes tightly shut as she felt all the pain.

She forced her eyes to open which took too much effort to her liking. She couldn't moved. But she forced herself to moved because if she didn't, no one will do it for her. Naruto was gone. As well as Gaara. She was all by herself. Alone.

Gently she pushed Naruto away from her. She released his head from her grasp and laid him on his back. She winced from the movement that made her breathing ragged. After a few seconds of concentrating on her breathing, she placed her elbow to the ground in an attempt to sit and she succeeded. Though she cannot help but to winced and cry out of pain in her every movement.

A pained smile crept up to her lips when she looked at Naruto's paled face. There was no grin like it always used to. That grin that always cheered everyone up, was now gone. With no chance to see again. It always made her feel safe, but now that it was gone, she didn't know anymore.

She chuckled.

And chuckled until she laughed. She laughed like a mad man at everything that had been happening now. She laughed and laughed while pushing herself to stand. She know nothing anymore. Her knees wobbled under her but she quickly caught herself and gained balance. Her grip on the rock tightened when she was about to fall over again, so she leaned to it to keep herself from falling again.

Her crazy laughed died down and then a sobbed came from her. Yes. She certainly didn't know what to feel anymore.

'Naruto...Sasuke...Kakashi-sensei...Tsunade-sama...mina... I-I'm sorry, so, so sorry...I had failed you all... I-I-- I can't save Naruto...' She thought as everyone's faces flashed through her eyes. She sobbed harder, not daring to hide her face from her enemy.

"Ugh-- you're so annoying. Hadn't anyone already said that to you?" Sakura watched as Madara slowly float to her direction and land softly on the ground, just a five feet away from her and Naruto. His face in an annoyed expression.

Sakura then stopped crying and stared at the ground. Feeling no emotion. She made a stoic expression that she didn't knew she had in her. Maybe because this was what it feels when someone very closed to you died in your very hand. She thought about everything. Then finally made a decision.

She faced Madara with no expression at her face at all. She will fight. Until the very end! With the last of her strength, she activated the Hundred Healing Mark on her forehead, resulting to have a line slowly covering up her already bruised body and ran fast straight forward to Madara to attack, leaving Naruto behind.

"SHANAROOO!" Sakura shouted when she threw her fist at Madara's face who was slightly shocked at her strength. Madara flew a few yards away but quickly regained balanced as he floated midair. He smirked at her, in annoyance she ran again and prepared to a kick using her left foot and Madara just dodged her attacked. A smirk still plastered on his face.

"So you have that power like Tsunade huh?" He said as she continued to attack with all her might not daring to stop. Those loud bangs whenever her punches and kicks collided with Madara can be heard. She switched her timings, positions, and lands every time but all of that are just simply dodged by him. As if it's nothing. Well she was not surprised. She knew this would be the result from the very start. And what kept her going, was nothing. She didn't know anymore. She kept going and didn't really care about what will happen to her anymore.

Was she being selfish?

She knew that there are still many shinobi there fighting for peace. Peace? Oh right, she remembered. They're fighting for peace. But. Why? What pushes her to fight when she can't think right anymore? Was it peace? Nah. What? Tsunade was the only one with a sealing like her to make sure that all shinobi who got hurt will heal, and as far as she remembered Tsunade was low on chakra. So if she kept fighting here without a care to her life and Tsunade on low chakra, everyone will not have a chance to recover. No recover, no power. No power, no life. So what does she still doing here? Does she really being that selfish?

"Tch!" Is what escaped her mouth when Madara caught her kick from the side of his face, she act quickly and turn all her weight up to released her foot from his strong grasp. She was suddenly behind him at the top so she didn't waste time and put all her strength on that last kick which she succeeded as he watched him slide to the ground, face first and all the rocks he passed break by his head.

Sakura bent over and put her hands on her knees as she slowly feel all the effects of her actions. The tattoos that wrapped around her body slowly made its way back to the seal. She can feel herself weakening, but she stayed at her feet, unwilling to give up yet. Madara came into a stop and he slowly stand using his pole that he had held from the beginning.

Madara laughed.

"Wow, I don't know that I will fall from that again. You clearly are Tsunade's student, you didn't failed to amazed me! HAHAHA!" Sakura watched him with a wary eyes. She didn't also know if she should be happy by the compliment or scared for her life. Should she run? She can clearly see that he was pissed.

Once again, Madara became serious.

"Now I will let you decide. Would you like me to kill you first? Or would you like me to kill him again?" He said and looked at the right. Her eyes widened when she followed where he was staring. The only one she knew who was there is Naruto.

"W-what do you mean?! He's dead!" She shouted, pain couldn't hide behind her stoic voice.

"Are you sure?" He said.

"W-wha--" She mumbled, confusion can be seen from her face. Sakura looked at Naruto again with wide eyes. She concentrated the little chakra that she had left and felt something. Life.

She can feel Naruto's chakra!

"N-naruto!" She shouted and ran toward her fallen teammate still laying on the ground looking lifeless, but there was little life, she can feel it. She pushed herself to ran, even when she already can't feel her legs. She focused chakra on her feet, adrenaline suddenly kicked in from her and ran as fast as she can.

Naruto is alive!

"Okay then. After him, you're next." Her eyes once again widened by his words. She needed to get there fast! Just a little more! She lean more forward in hopes that it will make it faster. Just a little more!

From her peripheral vision she can see Madara, hands forward with that black thing towards them.

Just a little more!

As if in slow motion. She watches as Madara fired it, and she know what damaged it can take but still she continued to ran.

"NARUTO!" Sakura shouted as she throws herself at Naruto and braced him again in her arms. As she watched in slow motion on how the black thing approaches itself to their direction. She closed her eyes tightly and wait for the impact but it never came, she opened her eyes but all that she can see is a white light, enveloping them. And her world goes black.
