Chapter 151: Reaction

"My lord," a soldier came running into the throne room of the Nott family. He was the exact same man that brought the unfortunate news of the invasion of the family's vassal's lands by those of House Potter.

He was sure his superiors were forcing down all these bad messages on him to report so they could avoid their ire of their Lord and General.

Sighing to himself, the soldier wondered what happened to not harming the messenger, especially your very own. Biting down on everything he had to say, he could only blame himself for choosing to take up services with a Dark Family.

Light families always do provide top notch medical and dental benefits, and plenty of sick and parental leave. He really should have listened to his older brother and parents, instead of acting like the rebellious little punk he used to be, swayed in on all the pure blooded supremacy bullshit.

None of that shit really pays for the rent or helps you with diabolical bosses.

"It's you again," the General eyes honed in on him. "Don't tell me you came with some more bad news."

Swallowing nervously, the man could feel the sweat dripping down from his brow. "I also bring some good news, my lord!"

"Go ahead, report what you must," the young new Lord waved to him to speak.

"The good news is my lord, we have managed to clear out most of House Potters vassals from the estates and holding they managed to take. Only a few still stand still and managed to withstand the first force we sent their way, but soon a much larger combined force will be formed to deal with them just like you wanted."

"What remains of our vassals?" the general asked the kneeling soldier.

"Sir..." the man said looking up for just a single second.

"The question is simple, man. Now answer!"

"Not much," the soldier said hesitantly, "they basically have been all wiped out, so we can not expect much help from them in this war."

"And our enemy?" the gruff man asked.

"They too have been all but wiped out, except for two last hold outs!"

"What do you make of this general?" the young lord asked his master of arms. "Why would he waste away his vassals upon ours. I get he wanted to deal a crippling blow to them so we can be denying extra forces, but he had the element of surprise. He found out about where all our vassal's estates and land were hidden, so couldn't he had just struck and got out.

Why make a futile effort in holding on to something he knew he couldn't. All he really did was just waste away all his vassals' forces, basically crippling himself like he did us."

"Aye," the kneeling soldier said as if he made to say something, but then thought better of it, letting his masters just carry on their lines of thinking until they made him spill the beans of the bad news.

"I don't know my lord," the general answered. "The new Lord of Potters thoughts are a great mystery to me. However what could be a likely case is the loyalty of his vassals. When your father, the preview head, was looking into the Potter family, he took notice of how disloyal the bunch of them were. Some not paying their taxs for years, others skimping n their duties, some even pursuing their own agenda. That is why he made a play to have on of house Potters vassals rebel, so everything could come crashing down."

"So you think he did this to clean up house. Strick two birds with one stone with this move."

"Yes, it is most likely! He would be both crippling our vassals and those disloyal to him all in one move."

"Mhmm, very ingenious," the young lord rubbed his chin. "I never thought that our little exemplar and paragon of light would stoop to such trickery and guile only reserved for the dark!"

"Yes, it would seem the new lord of House of Potter is more in line with the grey. That is why you need to be more careful my lord, he could implore any technique while playing to be the good guy. That makes him a very dangerous opponent indeed."

"Yes, I know that," Theodore Nott nodded his head solemnly. Then turning to face the kneeling man, the young lord turned back to address him, "You said this was the good news soldier? If so I don't think you know what good news is at all, but still, pray tell, what is the bad news you have for me."

Swallowing down on the lump in his throat once again, the poor messenger caused at his superiors who made him come break the news to two very terrible wizards. "The... the Grim Tower h-has fallen, my lord," he bowed his head, not daring to raise his neck one inch o as not to get it chopped off.

"What. did. you. say?" the young lord asked as he leaned in from his throne like chair, peering down at the soldier.

Cursing his bad luck, the man repeated in one single breath to get it all over it with in one single go. "TheGrimTowerhasfallen, mylord!"

"How," the General growled, "and be clear soldier. What do you mean? How has the tower fallen."

"We... I mean my superior officers, they do not know at all, my lord," the fighting man stated, laying the blame on the people who sent him into the lion's den. "The tower is... just gone. All that remains is rubble and ruin in place!"

"That bastard..." the young lord growled, clearly speaking of the Potter lord. "He must have done this."

"Yes, it would seem that his greater goal than just crippling ours and his disloyal vassals was to create a distraction. To throw up some smoke screen while he struck were we least expected it," the General mused as he seemed to come down, thinking everything over.

"He is more dangerous than we thought, my lord. It's like he is playing circles around us," the old hand said a bit worriedly.

"Damn him, and damn his house," the young lord got up angry, tossing his wine glass up agist the fir wall, making the kneeling soldier flinch back in fear. "What would my ancestors say about me, the one who lost the family's tower, the one who gave up our researchs' to our enemy on a silver platter.

You know those incessant little vassals and followers will start taking right General. Taking about how young I am, on how my uncle should have lead. And my father... oh, how he would love this. That fucking bastard would be right old happy with himself."

"Take it easy, my lord," the General tried to calm his liege lord. The poor messenger on the other hand was looking for a way out of here as he was pretty sure staying here any longer wouldn't be good for his health. But damn this grand hall, the place went on endlessly and every sound echoed all around.

"No, we need to act," Theodore Nott growled, "and we need to do it right now. I can let that half breed trounce about me. No, I will take the battle right to him and show everyone... especially her, that I am the superior wizard!

General," he said as he turned to the man, "You said we already know the location of the Griffin fort!?"

Already seeing the boy's line of thought, the man asked, "Are you sure about this, my lord. This is the height of foolishness, we might be playing into his hand, and attacking a well defended location is not something you do lightly, especially with a equal force. You would need 10 times the..."

"General," the boy cut him off, "have you grown senile or maybe fearful in your old age."

"No!"

"THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU QUESTIONING MY DECISION?!"

"I will get to it right away, my lord," the man bowed his head.

"Then do it! You," Nott turned to face the still kneeling man, who cursed silently to himself. "Gather my captains and officers before me. And be quick about it."

"Yes, my lord," the messenger sighed to himself as he nearly all but ran out of the room.

Left alone, the young lord stood there my himself while muttering, "I will show them, I will show them all and especially her!"

"It's good to see you back boy," the Commander smacked Harry on the back as he entered the Griffin fort. Cheers were going up as they all entered through from the front gates, soldiers were up on walls and battlements waving their hands and wands into the air while someone even let loose some fireworks from their wands up into the sky and someone else was running flowers below as well.

"It wasn't that big of a victory, Commander," Harry shrugged his shoulder.

"It wasn't that big of a victory," the man repeated after him. "Boy you got some high aspirations. If we could have been giving each dark family those types of blows during the way, they might have raised the white flag right away!"

"You strike at their bottom line, my lord," Alex pointed out. "You have struck at the heart of the Nott family's power. They could care less about some vassals getting invaded or having a lord put away. But destroying a symbol of power that has stood for hundreds of years is something else."

"Well we got their attention now," Harry grinned, "I expect them to be very incensed right now. Angry enough to maybe do something foolhardy."

"If they are wise they would surrender right now!" Riley scuffed.

"Do you think a dark family is ever wise," Otto snorted.

"Alright, I need a report of how our vassals' operations went," Harry raised as they made their way up to a council room within the inner keep of the fortress.

"Better than we thought, that's for sure," the Commander answered. "They didn't break against the walls of the Nott family like we imagined, but managed to over run them."

"So that's how bad things were," Harry nodded his head. It was clear now that his vassals have been hiding way extra men for them to take down others of equal rank to them.

"Yes, but they had lost all they have acuminated over these years," Hakim spoke up.

"Serves them right for their disloyalty," Martin intoned.

"Good we will need them as broken children before we can ever welcome them back into the fold! What about Lord Bott, Ser Ryan & Ser Eddie?"

"They have done well for themselves, they took control of the old vassals' home and withstood the first group of Nott soldiery. Lord Boot has the next Lady of House Moss in hand. Ser Ryan and Ser Eddie have joined their youngest son and daughter in union and would like to create a new house with your word!" Alex replied for him.

"They have my permission," Harry said as that moment Toby poped in with Dobby as well setting up drinks and refreshments for them. "It would be good to recover the two vassalage we lost.

Now moving on to..."

"My lord," Hakim cut him off, "you will need to see this." Pulling up on the overhead screen up above whatever he had to show them, Harry and everyone else turned to look up.

He saw that they were looking over the Grim Fortress where the Grim Battalion was stationed. He could hear the chirping of a Mini griff as it flew high up above in the sky as it relayed the video of the fortress. It was his idea to set up a mini little camera on the Mini Griffins so that they could send it live feeds back to them.

What drew Harry's attention and everyone else was all the activity going on down below in the fort, equipment where being prepared by soldiers, packs were being readied, and so much more things were happening in a flurry.

It could only mean one thing, the Grim Battalion was being prepared to head out, and they could only be coming for one person, him!

Everyone in the chamber shared a look and then they heard a shriek of pain come from the live feed as the Mini Griffin struggled against something.

They only got a glimpse at what held the Mini Griffin in its talons. It was a disgusting shadowy vulture like creature that seemed to have a skull face on. It let loose a ear piecing shriek as it flew to the fortress.

Landing on the gloved arm of a sharp eyed man dressed in high ranking uniform, the man stared at the Mini Griffin clutched in the creature's talon.

Harry heard the grinding of teeth as he turned to see the Commander narrowing his eyes toward the face of the man that came up on the screen.

Alex was kind enough to lean in and explain, "That is the General of the Grim Battalion, the Commander and him go way back. He is the man who he lost his arm to..."

"Ohh," Harry said with a nod of his head as he watched the man on the screen grab the Mini griff by the scruff of its neck while it wiggled and shriek in his arm. He let the vulture creature fly off as he headed into the keep of the fort.

It wasn't long before he came up to a very familiar person, Theodore Nott who stood over a map of the actual Griffin Fort grounds, now Harry at lest knew where they would be striking. They exchanged a few words that they couldn't understand, but Harry got a vague picture. The General handed the Mini griff over to the new Lord of House of Nott who took it in end facing the camera head on.

"Are you listening, Potter..." he spoke into the camera.

Harry of course had no way to reply, but he did listen.

"I am coming for you, so you better prepare yourself I make you regret making a move on the woman that is mine..." then of course the video was cut off as Harry heard Nott break the neck of the poor Mini Griffon.

Everyone was silent as they sat there in their seat saying nothing, until finally Harry broke the smile.

"Now isn't that just perfect," Harry grinned.

Chapter 152: Siege Pt.1

"So when can we expect them to arrive?" Harry asked as he stood on the battlements of the inner keep in the fort, overlooking the courtyard down below where the legionaries were busy at work preparing for the army about to come their way. And the parapet also afforded him a perfect view of the surrounding lands with the mountains range hugging the fort close and the cold winds also blowing down here into the fort.

Standing alongside him was the Commander who was also taking in the surrounding landscape.

"Anytime now," the man answered. "We have prepared the best we could to face them, now we can only wait and stand guard. Anyways," he said as he turned to face him. "Are you sure it was wise riling up that little lordling like that?"

"It was all part of my plan, the whole reason why I stuck at the Grim Tower and destroyed it was because I knew he would be incensed and would react stupidly just like right now. Look at him coming running to use on a battlefield of our choosing."

"Yes, an angry enemy would react stupid, but they would also react explosively as well. He might just b trying to take us all down with him more or less."

"Yes, but it is a risk worth taking. I do not want our little war to go on for ages as we all but destroy the countryside in our feud and draw this matter out. It is better to get it down quick and easy, and an epic battle for the ages is exactly what we need."

"Can't agree with you anymore on that line of thought," the gruff man chuckled. "I have seen what a prolonged magical war could do, wizards and witches always come up with better ways in killing each other, and the body count just continues rising!"

"Must have been so thought times," Harry commented. He never really lived turning a war time, this was a relatively peaceful time if you could call it that since there still was a Dark lord lurking about, but other than that things have been kept repressed. Though Harry did not know how long that could last, the underlying issues that have been plaguing this country have never been resolved at all, all they have been done was put back.

There was still dark creature on the prowl in the recess of society, magical beings unhappy how they are still being oppressed, purebloods angry at the increase in muggle-born wizards and witches, muggleborn still being treated and having limited options in the magical world, half-bloods stuck in between, dark and light families at each other throats.

And so many more issues he could spend all day talking about them; from the corruption in the Ministry and the ineffective heads of states, magical knowledge, and research degrading, great bloodlines slowly disappearing. The list was endless.

"Well I better be heading back inside and see to the defences," the Commander spoke up as his breath condenses before him in a puff.

"Yea, you go do that, Commander," Harry nodded his head as he stood standing where he was taking in the expansive landscape which held such mighty fortitude and beauty all at once.

Sighing to himself at what was about to come next, Harry steeled himself and calmed his nerves. everything was in perfect order so there was nothing to fear or worry about in the end they would break the Nott family's army right up against their walls.

Suddenly Harry picked up on a sound that seemed like there was countless stamping feet causing to earth to tremble in their wake. Looking to the east which was the only direction anyone could come from, Harry saw some birds take to the air as their wing beats filled the air.

Narrowing his eyes Harry saw dust clouds fill the air in the general direction that the sound was coming for. Suddenly the alarms were raised as the sounds of enemy approach was signaled. The fortress erupted in a flurry of activities as soldiers took the battlements with their weapons in hand and people quickly got to their posts.

Harry stood there in his spot as finally the dust and snow that had been kicked up cleared and he could make up the Grim Battiolion making their approach from far away with his eyes shifting towards draconic ones.

They dotted the landscape as thousands of wizards and witches made their approach, they were dressed in black liveries with the Nott family sigil on it. They all looked dark and foreboding in their black shining helmets and their enchanted armor, none of them showed a hint of an expression and they marched in neat rows.

Though Harry did catch a hint of weariness in their expression and some damage marks on their armor which put a broad smile on his face. Clearly, they ran into some of his traps he had littered throughout the mountains which must have slowed them down.

Then there was the beasts which were pulling along magic cannons and other siege weapons. There was a multitude of different assorted creatures but they all shared those black furry skin with those blood red eyes, and white skull like heads. The wendigo of House Nott! They were dark evil creatures known for hungering after the flesh of other creatures and man alike.

Beyond that what they are especially known for is their shapeshifting capabilities.

There was one individual that Harry quickly honed in on, seated on a massive sabertooth like creature was a dark haired young man the same age as him, he was wearing light magical armor that was gleaming with spells and enchantments. He held the creature's reins in tight while he clutched his wand in his other hand, and riding besides him was a man dressed in high ranking uniform who was speaking to the young man.

It could only be one person, Theodore Nott surrounded by his captains and general.

Turning around, Harry headed down and out until he came to where his lieutenants and the Commander were gathered. Reserved for him, and him alone was a golden throne that looked upon everything and was the perfect command position where he would be both safe from volleys of spell and near enough to witness the action.

Appearing before him was his loyal attendant Tobry always at his side, "Would you like something to drink, my lord?" the little house-elf asked.

"Of course, make it tea," Harry said. With a snap of his finger, Tobry proffered him a cup of steaming tea, he drank deeply, the bitter herbs well masked with honey.

"So it begins, huh," Harry muttered as he saw the invading army stop right outside all the protections and spells laid out around the fortress.

Suddenly there was an echoing voice that filled the enter valley, "Potter," it shouted which could only be the voice of Theodore, "Why don't you come out of that little egg you are hiding in like a coward, and come face me."

Snorting to himself, Harry grabbed his wand and magically amplified his voice, "If you were a fool, I won't be following in your footsteps. Come dare approach my fortress at your own risk!"

"What else would you expect from a half breed than cowardice and treachery," Theodore replied as Harry could feel the sneer in his tone why snide chuckles and jeers came from the gathered black host. "I have no idea what she sees in you," he spat out near the end.

"Someone is feeling jelly," Harry chuckled. "You should know something, Nott. It was really a treat taking her as my own. I never knew you had feelings for Daphne but it makes it all the more sweeter. It's almost like I cuckold you. HAHAHA!"

This time the jeering and laughter that came from his side was much, much louder while the Nott forced looked like they were forced to swallow a lemon.

"Anyways you only have yourself to blame. I think it's the tiny little prick she heard about that drove her away. I guess that's what happens when you fuck your sister like you pureblood like to do it!"

Before anything else, Harry heard some loud shouting and shrieking come from the Nott camp as orders were given and the army lined up, ready to charge.

"Activate the first line of defence," Harry shouted as a massive red gem set in one of the towers begin to glow an eerie light.

"Fuck it," Harry said with a wave of his hand as he saw the mood he put the enemy force in. "Activate all our defences!"

This time it wasn't only the red giant gem that light up, but also the violet colored one, the green one, and a half dozen more all ready to rain down destructive forces.

Swooping down from the sky was the exact same vulture like wendigo creature that caught the Mini Griffon, and there were hundreds if not thousands of them dotting the sky as they flew towards the fortress.

And they weren't all as wolf like wendigo creatures came running forth, followed by slithering skull headed snakes, giant mammoth black furred creatures, and so much more all coming in one great stampede right towards the fortress.

Harry narrowed his eyes at the alarming sight as he sat on his mini throne.

"They are trying to clear up our defences with their beasts," the Commander growled.

Harry shook his head, only a heartless dark family that couldn't care less for their bonded creatures would do something like that, using them as cannon fodder to have their way.

The earsplitting roars, howls, and growls filled the ear as the wendigo creatures thundered forth heedless of the defences that begin to activate. Fireballs begin to rain day as the sky reddened as if the literal air itself was on fire and they struck down in such molten heat that the very earth started to heat up and liquify into a red building mess.

What was worse was when they struck the beasts they howled in pain as their flesh flacked off and their skin boiled while they were literally cooked alive on the spot. The rain of fire didn't spot for a single second as it continued raining down mercilessly, however the creatures didn't seem to get the message as they were driven on by their master commanding them from behind.

They came on ceaselessly, not giving up or retreating for a single second!

Before they knew it the creatures reached the second line of defense, leaving behind their brethren on the ground as their corpses littered the earth.

Harry could see that this would not be working, they barely made a scratch in the endless horde even though they killed beasts numbering in the hundreds in the first line of defense.

"Release the potion," Harry called out as a flurry of motions went up at his order.

Catapults were readied as large jugs filled with something were loaded up and at his command, they were released flying high up into the air and into the crowd of onrushing creatures.

A red mist seemed to be released as the jugs cracked on the ground amidst the mass of creature and it quickly spread. As the creatures sniffed and inhaled the smoke, they suddenly seemed to have gone utterly and completely mad.

If it only was that, it would have been no problem since these sinister creatures were already baleful in the first place. No, suddenly the beasts turned upon each other, tearing and ripping at each other as they savagely broke up into a melee effectively seizing the advance to a grinding halt.

This was after all the effects of the Berserk Maddening potion, so it was to be expected!

"Commander," Harry said calling to the gruff man.

"Yes, my lord," the man said as he was smiling seeing the creatures tearing at each other while the Nott family force was gobsmacked.

"Tell our artillery force to let loose!" he said as he turned back to the battlefield. The creatures were already stuck in a precarious situation being stuck in-between the fire and lightning zones as they ceaselessly struck at them. Them turning on each other didn't help, and now getting a mouthful of artillery fire would be harrowing.

He had expected this sort of tactic from the Nott family, so that is why he had a bunch of Berserk Maddening potion readied. Sometimes the tactics of dark families can be so plain and simple that you could see it coming a mile away. Now that would be their downfall right now.

Harry could see shouting as the beasts were trying to be brought back to heel, but he knew that wouldn't be possible unless you had a counter potion which would take a while to even hone in on what going on with the beasts forget making the cure, it would be too late for them.

Seeing the siege weapons aim down at the beasts, now it was too late for the creatures. They could only blame their poor masters for their fate. Then the massive weapons let loose in the crowded heap of creatures.

Their fate was very evident as a rain of blood, black furred flesh, and white bones skulls went up into the air. The barrage of fire continued for a long while as volley after volley was sent forth into the crowd of beasts.

Even the most cold hearted man would have felt bad for the wendigo beasts as their flesh was torn and their bones were crushed after endless barrage after barrage.

After a while Harry held out his hand to cease! As the weapons weared down and the soldiers pulled back to see to the siege weapons to fix them and tone them. The dust slowly cleared and everyone finally got to lay sight on the killing field.

There was basically nothing left as they went a bit overkill, only dust drifted in the air and black earth covered a mile or so.

Everyone was silent until he heard an angry roar come from the Nott family camp. Orders were given and it was the soldiers' turn to move up.

Chapter 153: Siege Pt.2

The dust slowly cleared, and everyone finally got to lay sight on the killing field. There was basically nothing left of the Nott family creatures. It would seem that they went a bit overkill in wiping out the beasts. Only dust remained, drifted in the air and black scorched earth covered a mile or so.

Everyone was silent until Harry heard an angry roar come from the Nott family camp. Orders were given, and it was the soldiers' turn to move up. Now the more dangerous element had entered the field. Unlike beasts, men are more dangerous. They do not just charge and attack ceaselessly like mindless idiots. Humans use tactics and trickery to get by which makes them much, much more dangerous.

The Nott family soldiers nevertheless didn't look so happy as they were ordered to advance. However, orders were orders, and they simply had no choice but to fall through in on it. After all, they all made the Unbreakable Vows and were driven forth by it as their master's command was their duty to fulfill.

"How are our siege weapons?" Harry asked the Commander. The man turned to the auxiliary force shouting down at them ad quickly got an answer back in moments.

"It would take a while for the siege weapons to be up and running, my lord," the gruff man answered. "They have over spent it and will need time to do a lot of repairs and tuning."

"Good to know," Harry said with a nod of his head, as it was clear he wouldn't be accounting for his siege weapons for a while now.

He turned to look up at the glowing gems hovering a few feet over the arching towers of the keep. The fire and lightning gem was clearly sent as the light in them were all but gone. The collection of years of magical energy being slowly gathered from the leyline under the Fortress was all sent in a single moment of utter destruction.

Now Harry was left with 5 lines of defense.

To begin with the fortress had 7 killing fields that protected it from all sides. They had the Fire, the Earth, the Metal, the Water, the Wood, the Wind, and the Lightning gems!

He knew that the enemy force would overcome the last few lines of defence, and the fortress would be laid bare for them to lay siege to. Harry knew he needed to slow down the dark oncoming host so that they could be bogged down in the elemental fields of destruction and death.

"Lieutenant Riley," Harry addressed the red haired man.

"Yes, my lord," the man turned to face him as he pounded his fist against his chest.

"Prepare your Hippogriff Cohort, they will be going in, and I want you to only harass the Nott family forces, not fully engage with them as of yet. So blitz in and out like you always do, and make sure to not get shot down from the sky!"

"Will do so, my lord," the Lieutenant bowed his head and headed off to follow through on his command.

"Lieutenant Otto," Harry then addressed the bald headed man.

"What are your orders, my lord," the man asked.

"I want you and the Cynogriffin Cohort on stand by to support the Hippogriff Cohort at any time. The Nott family knows the disposition of our army, so I wouldn't be startled if they have surprises in store for us to deal with our Cohorts each in turn."

"Very wise," the Commander nodded his head, "they have cost us many Griffin-kin riders during the lost war. So they got a handle on us."

"I understand my lord," the Lieutenant nodded his head, "I will be on the lookout for any of their tricks that they plan to pull off on us!"

"Good," Harry said as he saw the man off with a nod of his head.

It was at that moment that the Hippogriffs begin to take off, he heard their loud cries as their riders held on tightly to their reins while walking up to the landing zones and taking off into the air in neat formal squads.

Lieutenant Riley was at the lead as he was mounted on an Alpha hippogriff which was much bigger than its smaller brethrens. It took to the forefront as it flew high up in the air followed closely by the other hippogriff right on its heel.

Then Lieutenant Riley stopped at the apex of his height as he raised his wand on up high as it transformed into a bloody spear and he pointed it downward as the Cohort begin to split up. They all started to spread out instead of being clumped together as each squad basically acting independently.

The sun was at their backs as the hippogriff and their riders swooped down from on up high down on to the Grim Battalion who at this moment crossed into the ice zone. Large massive pillars of icicles begin to form in the air and were launched out into the gathered army.

Quickly a loud grunt of effort came from the enemy host as the soldiers pooled their magic together and created a wall of fire. The icicles slowly begin to melt as they met the seeing heat, but still a few got through and tore into the ranks.

The large pillars of ice were able to cut through some men as they were literally strung up in place. Coming in low where the hippogriff riders that parted the wall of fire aside with gusts of wind and tore into the ranks of the enemy soldiers.

Some of the hippogriffs picked up the soldiers in their talons and took them high up into the sky, while others ripped into them apart as flesh and bones were sundered and blood rained down. It was indeed a bloody and gruesome sight as the shouts and roars of men mixed with the shrieks of the hippogriff.

Just then the enemy force changed up formations as they got into squads and huddled up. Then Harry caught something with his Magic sight and quickly found out what it was as Hippogriffs bounced off invisible shields and landed on the dirt.

They were able to quickly collect themselves as they took flight back into the air, but before they could get far streams of liquid fire started roasting the half horse/half eagle creatures.

There weren't too many hippogriffs caught in the attack as they were out and in just like he commanded, but the few that caught, he could hear their screams from all the way here. They were quickly silenced as the Nott family force ended permanently.

The good news was that the Grim Battalion was being slowed down as thanks to all that raining down ice, the landscape was slowly freezing over as the secondary effect of the killing slowly went into effect, and the mist gathering really didn't help with visibility as the Hippogriff riders rained down spells down below on the army.

By the time that the army entered the fourth line of defence and the wind begin to pick up, they looked haggard while their magical shields were battered. The hippogriffs road the winds as they came down on the battered force more enemy soldiers were torn apart as flown away as the shields were now just thin paper.

However the enemy force had a bit of surprise in store, they begin to launch massive lances of dark magic, the hippogriff were able to easily dodge except maybe one or two caught by surprise, but then the lances followed after the riders and their mounts, honing on them like missiles.

Dodging and darting, the hippogriff riders were hounded relentlessly and they started falling as the lances of dark corrosive magic caught up to them. Then to make things worse, the enemy force started send out force magic which knocked about the riders slowly trapping them and even in some cases making them fall.

And to top it off some of the wendigo creatures that were left behind from the initial charge came swooping in. They were like black furred Pterodactyl with large sharp backed heads and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth.

"Have the Cynogriffin Cohort enter," Harry commanded seeing that things weren't going great for the hippogriff riders. The Hippogriff Cohort was one of his light units, they go for quick and easy damage, but really can't take too much punishment.

"Prepare from them to attack the walls," Harry also commanded. Four of their defenses were so far breached as the wind blades slowed down as the energy in the wind gem emptied out allowing the Nott family to approach the 5th and 6th line of defense.

The Earth and Metal lines!

The Cynogriffin finally entered the fray giving the Hippogriff Cohort a moment of reprieve to gather and organize. The half wolf and half eagle creatures were more bulker and bigger as they were one of his medium units and they easily dealt with the Pterodactyl like creatures while also dealing heaver damage to the black clad army.

"Lieutenant Martin," he said addressing the big man. "Have your Hieracosphinx Cohort in position on the walls!"

The big man nodded his head in acquiescence and headed to his giant burly Hieracosphinx which lazily sat on the ground swinging about their heavy tailed which were almost like maces. He saw that the Nott family forces were already preparing to attack the walls as siege towers were being brought forth and pulled forth by mammoth like wendigo creatures.

"Lieutenant Felicity and Lieutenant Kate," Harry then called to the two women.

"Yes, my lord," the women answered.

"Lieutenant Felicity I want you to start preparing your Grecian Cohort. I want you to make the climb up the wall for the Nott family force all but impossible and excruciating! Could you do that for me?!"

"It would be my pleasure," the woman smiled as she bowed and headed off.

"Lieutenant Kate," Harry then turned to the spry, bubbly woman."I want your little attack dogs on the ready went the Nott family force fainlly do making up to the wall. I want them to tear them up and shred them like they always do."

"I will get to it right away, my lord," the blonde haired gave him an awkward salute as she ran off.

Looking back at the battlefield, Harry saw that the Grim Battalion was slowly making its way through the devouring quicksand and the shredding blades of metal that kept shouting everywhere on the earth as they have long become slick with blood.

The Hippogriff Cohort and the Cynogriffin Cohort continued to harass them as they slowed them down and picked them off one by one. They worked in perfect tandem with the Cynogriffin taking the damages when it is called for and the Hippogriff darting in between them to devastating effect.

However it was a back and forth little tug of war, as the Grim Battalion would come up with a surprise and the Hippogriff Cohort and the Cynogriffin Cohort would overcome it reaping death while the Grim Battalion would bring something else into play.

Finally the Grim Battalion came up to the last line of defense as they neared the wall up to near throwing distance.

Suddenly flowers begin to sprout up from the earth, and everyone looked down at the harmless last line of defence. But the flowers just kept on growing as if they were on steroid roots started sprouting out as the plants started to shot up like bamboo.

And everyone quickly noticed the thorns covering the plant which seemed to drip with some poisonous juice. The plants continued growing until the whole was covered by overgrown long vines of thorns and they started coming up to the wall as they reached an astronomical height of 30 meters in only a few seconds.

There was literally a small patchwork of an overgrown forest filled with thorns in front of the wall blocking anyone from coming up.

Then that was when the vines started to attack. They lashed out against the Nott family force pulling on men and women and dragging them forth into their small little forest as their screams filled the air.

It was a chaotic mess as soldiers all but nearly broke as their friends and companions were dragged right before their very eyes screaming and yelling for help.

However, their slave drive masters never gave them the chance as their officers and captains shouted orders and some semblance of cohesive order was once more achieved. But the damage was done as Hippogriff Cohort and the Cynogriffin Cohort swooped in like sharks smelling blood.

Some defences were put up by the Grim Battalion as they fought back, but clearly, their main focus was the last line of defence so that they could get to the fortress.

The small thorn forest was a terror as even a scratch from the vines could cripple a man if the antidote of the poison wasn't found quickly.

The Nott family army tried to go for fire to deal with the forest, but that wasn't really their fortitude and the forest seemed to have some fire resistance. The only choice they were left with was chopping at the forest with Severing Charm using their wands like machete which as indeed a great undertaking.

Harry of course wouldn't let them do that and he was just about to send in the Griffin Cohort lead by Lieutenant Alex, but then he noticed something happening. In the middle of the army, there was a small gathering happening as Harry spotted Theodore coming in which was unexpected as he thought he would be in the pavilion that was being set up far away in the distance a good way off from the battlefield.

He was gathering magic in great amounts as those around him helped in. Harry narrowed his eyes wondering what he was up to until suddenly the spell went into effect.

It was a dark mist that stuck at the forest of thorn, nothing happened at first until suddenly there was an ear splitting shriek that came from the small forest. Harry saw no damage at all to the forest of thorn, but it wouldn't be crying out in pain for nothing like that if something wasn't happening to it.

"Its fear Inducement," the Commander answered his question for him. "Death By Horror as you literally scare a target to death. I wondered when they would do that, they usually save it for last so they must be desperate to unleash it right now."

Harry silently watched as the forest started to wilting and die right before his eyes until only a dead husk was left.

Now there was nothing stopping the Grim Battalion from finally laying siege to the Griffin Fortress!

Chapter 154: Siege Pt.3

"Hold the lines," the Commander shouted from on up high where he stood right next to Harry who was seated on his throne back chair while overlooking the pitched battle on the walls.

The battle on the fortress wall had reached a fervor pitch, both sides were not budging an inch even when one side after the other took to the offense for one final push. No one gave any grounds at all so they were stuck in a mire pit of relentless fighting and combat as spells flew in the air and weapons were brandished.

With the killing fields gone, the Nott force were able to attack the fortress out right now. They were ever relentless as they tried to climb the walls while his army denied them at every turn. The enemy force kept on climbing on ladders to get on the walls. The gates were being rammed away by the Nott army, but wizards and witches stood near the gates chanting in unison as they continuously reinforced the entrances with their magic. Some were busy at work trying to dig a tunnel underneath the wall, but soon they will experience the nasty surprise he had in store for them. However, that didn't mean he would make it easy for them as he has his army deny them.

On the other hand, his defense was admirable, the Hieracosphinx Cohort stood at the walls letting nothing past as their massive bulks made an indomitable bulwark against the invading force. The Keythong were the best attack dogs any man could hope for as they ripped and tore at any invader that got on to the battlements with savage glee.

The Grecian Cohort stood back working their magic as they did a wonderful job confusing and dismantling the enemy force while healing and supporting his army. The Hippogriff Cohort and the Cynogriffin Cohort were doing an adamant job they were harassing the enemy just as he ordered and they even took it into their hand to cripple the enemy's range support.

Harry had his other units in reserve, for now, just waiting for the perfect opportunity in using them.

Then Harry saw the siege towers finally make it to the fortress. He could see all the soldiers inside geared up to attack the battlement when they connected.

He couldn't let that happen, not on his watch at all.

"Lieutenant Alex," Harry called to the glasses wearing man who answered his call immediately like he had been waiting for it all day long.

"Yes, my lord, what are your orders?" he asked as Harry could see the anticipation in his body as he already knew what Harry was about to tell him to do.

"I want you to take care of those towers," Harry simply answered as he pointed off to those dark foreboding breaching towers, he could see the dark magic wafting off them and knew they packed a bunch of surprises. He couldn't allow it to get any nearer to the fortress or else who knew what fate awaited them.

Better to take care of it right now and squash the issue with his best force.

"Your wish is my command," the fanatically loyal officer saluted and then left to follow through on his command with his Cohort ready at hand.

Watching as the Griffin Cohort took flight as their heavy wings beat in the air announcing their foray into battle. They swooped down on the siege towers with their talons at ready.

Turning for them, Harry trusted in Lieutenant Alex to follow through on his commands now it was time for him to do his job. Surveying the battlefield, he saw that both sides were stuck in a statement, something needed to happen to break it.

The only two Cohorts he had in reserve were the Mini Griffins Cohort and the Demigryph Cohort. The Mini Griffins were used for spying and scouting, their small little talons and beaks would be no risk to the enemy and their small little bodies couldn't take that much damage. So they were of little use in a full out war.

Then he had the Demigryph Cohort which was a land bound mounted unit. They did well at charging and breaking the enemy's line, however they were made for wide open field battles and not sieges. They would barely even get a running start to attack the enemy line, and he needed the gates to hold out, not let the dark army right outside his wall in.

Harry did have one more ace in the hole, but that was for last measures. And his artillery force won't be up and running for a long while now.

He needed to work with what he had right now to stop the advance of the Nott family army.

"Commander," Harry called out to the metal armed man. Turning to face him, Harry firmed his resolve on his decision, this might come at a great cost and risk to his personal, but what needed to be done, needed to be done.

"It's time we took to the offense. I will lead our forces to send back the Grim Battalion," he spoke up with firm resolve as he got up from his throne backed chair. He was decked out in his Basilisk battle robes with both of his wands on his person, some extra magic items to booster his power, and plenty of spells ready to be flung about.

"Sunchaser," Harry called out as a golden mound right besides him started moving. The Royal Gryphon stood to its full height as it dwarfed every other Griffin kin creature within sight. It slowly spread its wings out to give them a good stretch, then turned to face him with its massive head the size of a small car.

"I will be in your hands, boy," Harry spoke to the giant creature as he rested a hand on its beak covered in armor already as the Royal Gryphon was battle ready. It was decked out in fine golden armor that protected all its vital spots while also not obstructing its ability to fly.

"Are you sure, boy," the gruff old man spoke up finally breaking the silence.

"Yes, this statement can't continue any longer," Harry shook his head. "We can keep on killing the Nott family enemy force, but they will just keep on coming, and sooner than later they will breach the wall, and you know what would happen after that. The outer wall will fall and the Grim Battalion would have a foot hold in the fortress.

We can never let that happen. Thus I will need to take on a more hands on approach. I will be counting on you Commander to over see the battle. I know I can count on you."

Snorting out loud, the man answered, "I have been doing this before your parents even popped out of your grandparents' belly. No need to be concerned about me. But..." he said as worry flashed through his face, "you watch yourself out there, son. Can't have anything happening to you. You are the last Potter alive, so you better be taking care of yourself."

"No need to worry, Commander," Harry grinned at him. "This will be easy as pie. I shall part them aside like the sea before me."

Then turning around to the soldiers around him, Harry shouted, "Men gather up!"

They were his small honor guard made up of soldiers of all the different Cohorts, their singular task was to guard him with their lives. Getting up on Sunchaser's back, he turned to face these men and women who were the best of the best from among their Cohorts as each and every single one of them was a hard eyed veteran that has seen countless battles.

"Good," Harry said to himself with a nod of his head. Then raising his wand high up into the air, he shouted, "We ride out to battle! Nothing will stand in our way as we carve up these treacherous bastards and show them why they should never invade our lands."

A blood thirsty roar went up as his men shouted at the top of their lungs letting their savage joy be known to the world.

"Follow me," Harry simply said as he signaled to Sunchaser to take flight up into the air. Soon he was being followed by a squad of a 100 expert old hands with their eyes gleaming for blood.

Having a view from on this high, it really offered Harry a perception he never did have from on his golden throne. The melee down below was a chaotic mess of spells and swords as blood flew into the air and shouts were raised.

Soon Harry was joined by Lieutenant Alex who came to fly right besides him. Pulling up visor he asked din surprise and worry, "My lord what are you doing here?! Your personage does not belong in here in these blood soaked battlefields, you should be back where you belong."

"Alex, you know I am not that type of leader," Harry smiled as he pulled out the Gryfindor Sword as well completing his perfect set of both wand in left hand and spellsword in the right.

"How is the task I assigned you going," he asked as he began to descend like a jet plane.

"Nearly all taken care of, my lord," the lieutenant responded as Harry could already see some dismantled towers and those who were even out right crushed. Only a few now remained as the Griffin riders were double teaming them. However, his gaze did not miss those downed Griffins or those who lacked riders as well.

"If you worry so much, you can join me, lieutenant," Harry grinned as he finally came upon the Nott family forces. He was like a scythe reaping a field of lush wheat as he tore into the enemy. Alex was left with no choice as he did exactly what he said, joining him in their blood bath.

Alex wasn't the only one to notice he had arrived on the battlefield as both Lieutenant Riley and Lieutenant Otto slowly come over to him.

Besides them, the other eyes that slowly turned on him weren't filled with any kindness which included the Nott force headed by their Lord and their General. "Shoot him down," Harry heard the hard eyed General shout as Theodore stared at him from across the battlefield.

Harry knew he couldn't get to him, even in the melee he was well-guarded from all sides. However that wasn't the same for his soldiers.

Seeing that all three of his Lieutenants were near him, Harry shouted at the top of his lungs to the other riders, "To me! To me!" this would be the final push forward.

Already Nott soldiers were gathering to block their path as Harry could see them preparing some very powerful magic to stop them. But Harry couldn't have that, pouring magic into his sword, Harry had found out that this amazing blade had many more functions than devouring whatever substance it comes into contact with.

The sword slowly started to grow and grow until he magically had a blade the size of Sunchaser himself with golden light pouring out of it. One slash was all it took and the soldier before him were cut down.

Already more Hippogriff and Cynogriffin and Griffin riders were gathering around him as they dotted out the sky. They came down with overwhelming force as the enemy was put into disarray. It was a blood bath as he and the men following him tore into the enemy like thin paper.

Harry could feel them bulking and slowly breaking apart. "Come on," Harry said out loud with his voice amplified with magic, "one final push!"

With an effect, everyone of his men came together for that one final push, and the Nott force broke.

The soldiers were in disarray, they weren't able to make it to the wall and now they couldn't stand this final assault. Vow or no vow, the soldiers couldn't form any semblance of cohesive force anymore.

Left with no choice, the retreat was called.

"Hold," Harry said as he held a fist to stop any enthusiastic soldier from following the retreating foe. He saw that their retreat wasn't a stampede as every soldier tried to outrun his allies and friends to get away. Who knew what they had in store for them, if he insisted on chasing them down.

"Let's pull back," Harry said as he flew back the fortress.

The siege has only just begin!

"What are losses?" Harry asked the Commander. They were able to get a good rest last night as the enemy made no move to attack through the twilight hours. They too were counting their losses just like they were.

The Commander had plenty of time yesterday to count their losses and pick up any corpses left outside the wall. He should have a good estimate now of where their current forces stand.

Chapter 155: Relief

"What are losses?" Harry asked the Commander. They were able to get a good rest last night as the enemy made no move to attack through the twilight hours. They too were counting their losses just like they were.

The Commander had plenty of time yesterday to count their losses and pick up any corpses left outside the wall. He should have a good estimate now of where their current forces stand.

"They aren't too bad," the gruff man answered. "We gave as good as we got, even more so I believe. There are 133 Dead who have been laid to rest, 256 Severely Injured who the healers and mediwitches assure us will make it as those that couldn't already passed away last night, and finally 102 Lightly Injured who would be able to come back after some rest and recovery. So all in all nearly 500 out of action for now!"

"500, huh," Harry muttered as he rested his hands on the battlements. More than anything he was focusing on the 133, all dead for him. How many more would die for his cause. He was sure it would be more. Today was a new day, and that meant brand new engagements.

Suddenly, Harry felt a palm rest on his shoulder, "Don't beat yourself over this, boy!" the Commander addressed him softly. "They have fought and died for their liege lord, there is no greater honor in that. Their families and loved ones will be well compensated, and we shall continue to support them. This is the way!"

"Alright," Harry nodded his head, "but do add a bit of incentive to their families compensation. For my sake and my consciousness," he added. Money really didn't matter to him, he had more than enough to last him several lifetimes and at the rate he was going, sell his new products and items, he would be earning that income twice over each year.

"Your wish is my command," the gruff man nodded his head.

"So how many men are we left with right now?" Harry asked. "And how are their current situation at this particular time?"

"Presently we have 3,500 soldiers left. Basically, each respected Cohort that fought today took a small loss, not a crippling blows, but still they are short a Century or two. Thus each soldier will need to make up for their downed brothers and sisters. Morale is at a all time high as we have been able to repel the enemy force and gave them deep blow."

"Good, good," Harry nodded his head. Soldier morale is the most important any good commanders would consider. It was the pivotal point that could decide battles, show how willing soldiers are to endure sacrifices and hardships, and so much more.

"How are our foodstuffs and supplies looking?" Harry then asked, but then suddenly a messenger came running up, he was breathing heavily and had to catch his breath before he could speak up. "My lord," he finally spoke up, "a message has been left for you in the command room."

"Mhmm, here let me see," Harry said. He had all his calls and messages directed to the command room. He couldn't break his attention away from the siege which required constant monitoring, so he had messages and calls transcribed and brought up to him.

Handing him the parchment of the transcribed message, harry silently read it as he finished reading it a smile spread across his face.

The Commander took notice of it and asked, "What's the good news you got."

"Ha, we will soon be relieved," Harry answered with a chuckle, "now I can't wait to see the look on the Nott force."

"Would you like to send a reply, my lord," the messenger asked.

"Yes, tell her I am deeply comforted and I am in her debt!"

"Well do, my lord," the messenger said as he gave a salute and ran off.

"Commander, ready all our forces, this siege will soon be drawn to a close!" Harry ordered as he turned back to face the horizon and looked at the Nott camp parked before his fortress. They made a really bad mistake coming here, and now they would pay the price.

Back in the Nott family camp, in the largest tent which served as the central command, there was a meeting going on. All the officers and captains of the Grim battalion had gathered there seated around a desk while they faced the young man seated on a black throne backed chair.

"How are things looking, General?" Theodore Nott asked his commander of his armed forces.

"Not good, my lord. There are 694 Dead, 851 Severely Injured, and finally 502 Lightly Injured. That makes the grand total of nearly 2,000 soldiers out of action. Those Potter bastards really ripped us a new one. Presently we have 3,00 men left with morale at an all time low! The men might break soon, and the siege has just been started."

"We should have taken it slow and easy," an old man spoke up. "Pushing through those killing zones costed us a lot. And those artillery weapons of the Potters are not something to take lightly, we can see that from our beasts."

"This was a mistake!" a captain shouted. "We should have never tried to besiege this fortress. Who in their right mind would even consider it! Us and the Potter family's Griffin Legion stand at nearly the same number in military capability, any good commander would tell you that you need 5 or even 10 times the number of the fortified and bunkered enemy. This shouldn't have been even con-..."

Before the man could finish what he was saying a dark whip of ghostly shadow wrapped around his neck constricting his windpipe as he gasped and struggled like a fish on water.

Everyone at the table watched as the man was literally choked to death right before their eyes. No one moved to help or even spoke up, they all sat there silently without a single muscle twitching.

Finally, as the dead man's body fell to the table and then slowly slide down to the ground, the whip that was constricting around his throat like a boa constrictor disappeared back to the wand it came from which was held in the young Lord of House Nott's hands.

"Does anyone have conflicting thoughts about our invasion of the Potters lands?"

Quick nods and shake of heads were given in answer as no dared to refute the little tyrant.

"Get out, all of you GET OUT," the young lord shouted with a sneer on his face. There was no need to emphasize the point, as each man and woman were pushing and shoving each other in their hurry to leave the tent.

Only the General and Nott were left in the tent as silence fell over the place.

Looking down at the dead captain, the General flipped with the bottom of his feet, laying him on his stomach. "You do know that we will need to get a new captain now."

"Well get a new one," the young lord waved his hand dismissively.

"There are only so many capable men, and although Dillion forget his place from time to time he did at least have a good head on his shoulder. Something I can not say the same about the rest of these bootlicker and asskissers."

"Ha, you know I was losing control of the situation, I needed to set an example for those so called bootlicker and asskissers, or else they would be up in mutiny."

"You are losing control of the situation fast, and I see you are losing control of yourself as well!" the General pointed out. "Are you sure you were in the right state leading us all?!"

Clenching his fist, the young man answered angrily, "I needed to respond. How could I let that damnable bastard get away, how could I let her steal her from me."

"Well, we are in the shits buckets now. We can either pull out which would be the wise decision, or we can continue down this path..."

"We will continue, no matter what I will crack open the fortress like an egg and finally get my hands on Potter!"

Sighing, the General nodded his head, "then I will have the Grim Battalion up and running so we can attack the walls again."

"Do that, and I shall make m own preparations as well."

"My lord, there has been some commotion spotted in the enemy camp," a messenger came running up to him.

"Aha, they are already planning on wasting themselves against us, again! Ha, I say let them come," Lieutenant Riley chuckled out loud as he smacked his fist into his open palm.

"What did you do to the little lordling to get him this angry with you?" Lieutenant Tia asked with a shake of her head.

"Stolen the girl that he thought belonged to him," Harry shrugged his shoulders.

"How are the artillery weapons coming along?" Harry asked.

"They are up and running my lord," a man with a grey beard and a black sooted face answered. He was short and stout with a bulbous nose and slightly pointed ear. Harry was sure he had some dwarf or made even gnome blood in him. But Harry didn't care for that, he was the best artillerymen man he had and engineer.

"Good, have them up and loaded, and ready!"

"Yes, my lord," Thaggir replied as he run off.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Harry said as he turned to his Lieutenants and Commander. "I have some good news for you all, this will most likely be the last day of the siege. I want you to give it your all, and make your men do as well. This is the final push before we have the enemy completely routed."

"Really, my lord?" Lieutenant Alex asked in open surprise.

"But how? I have heard nothing of this?" Lieutenant Hakim spoke up.

Grinning at them, Harry simply answered, "it will be a surprise that you will have to wait and find out!"

"You heard the man," the Commander shouted, "Now let's move out!"

Already the Nott forces were getting into neat and orderly formations, however Harry took notice of the down cast looks in their faces. These were men and women who really didn't want anything to do with war, but their oaths kept on pushing them forward. Just the slightest breeze would shatter them.

"Lieutenant Tia," Harry called out to the leader of the Third Cohort, the Demigryph units.

"Yes, my lord," the woman turned to face him with a clear stoic look.

"Today is your day finally, I want you to come at the Grim Battalion from their flanks and really give it to them when I give you the order."

"It would be my honor," the woman gave a ghost of a smile.

"Thaggir, when they are in range... You know what to do," Harry shouted to the half-dwarf.

This time, Harry was changing it up, he knew that the enemy force was adapting to their tactics so from right out of the woodwork he would be doing something they didn't expect.

As soon as they got in range of the artillery weapons, they fired. The sounds of bolts, javelins, giant flaming stones, and much more filled the air, and the Nott forces reacted quickly. A giant dome of protective shield was put up causing the ordnance to bounce off the shields.

Harry was already expecting that, there was no way the enemy forces would want to suffer the same fates as their creatures. So Harry shouted, "Lieutenant Alex and Lieutenant Martin, I want you to head in with your First and Fifth Cohorts to break those shields and do some real damage."

The two men and their Cohorts were already on stand by, so once his order was given they immediately went in.

The Griffin Cohort took to the air while the Hieracosphinx Cohorts bounced across the land. It did indeed come to the enemy as a surprise when they saw giant creatures honing in on them, before they could react the massive Griffin-kin creatures struck against the massive protective dome.

Their gain bulks caused the shield to shudder and flick in and out for a second before it stabilized. However the giant Griffin-kin beasts did not stop there, they ripped and tore at the shield with their gleaming sharp talons while also running headfirst into it.

Harry could see the enemy forces panicking and dread slowly seeping in because it really wasn't long before the shield broke up into flimsy bits of magical shards that disappeared into the air before they fell to the ground.

"Lieutenant Otto and Lieutenant Riley go support our bigger units. And Lieutenant Tia, you can enter with your men now!" They weren't the only ones he sent out, he soon had the Grecian doing support and then he had Lieutenant Kate let loose the Keythong in all their savage glory.

It wasn't long before Harry's family army was fully engaged with the enemy force. The battlefield turned into a big old brawl, everyone was going at each other with no mercy given at all.

"This can't go for so long," the Commander spoke up. "Our enemy might not care for their own men, but soon we will be taking skyhigh rates of casualties along with the Nott family. All this would become is a pyrrhic victory for us, a victory yes, but one as crippling to us as the enemy."

The Commander did have a fine point, and Harry would have never gone with this engagement if relief wasn't coming so soon. He planned to battle it out for weeks or even months on end with the Nott family as he slowly whittled down their forces one by one.

"Don't worry, soon we will be joined by the Gr-..."

Before he could even finish what he was saying there was a loud blaring trumpet that echoed all through the mountains. Everyone seemed to pause for that spilt second as they turned to where that sound came from...
