A/N: New Characters time and a new image to add for one of them, what fun. Review Time!
To Murtaito: Yuki's much more flawed than people expect from the girl whose Quirk is all about 'Perfecting' things, quite ironic. And yeah, that last part was just too sweet not to write; again, I am a sucker for romance. Awesome to know it panned out as expected and that you enjoyed it!
Enjoy.
Chapter 52 - Starting the Test of Perfection
"Finally, my legs!" Yuki groaned, satisfied by the light popping of her knees from being stuck in one spot for too long, a few others joining in her stretches as they basked in the sunlight facing the massive National Dagoba Arena that held their Provisional Licensing Exam, the cherry red and white striped entrance a welcoming sight.
The last three days passed by without a hitch, though Yuki felt uncertain using that form of hers and decided to develop a new Ultimate while aiding in Izuku's development of his own unique attack combining both his Shoot Style and Delaware Smash. Though it became routine for them to sleep in the same room, either in Yuki's or Izuku's, of course, the latter was a nervous wreck, but Yuki was happy he was comfortable with the idea given the fact they are a couple. Again, baby steps for them both, and neither were unpleased by the new and welcomed change.
Another thing, Yuki was beaming, no longer contained by recovery as her vocal cords were repaired completely, something she quite literally screamed out with joy the day before, practically startling the whole dorm with her boisterous cry for pride, so much. Hence, she started her first-ever shouting match with Katsuki and boy did she love it.
"Ugh, I'm getting kinda nervous..." Kyoka groaned, Akio sharing her thoughts with a nervous rub of his nose
"Hmm, my ears are ringing, and my palms just got sweaty..." He clapped them together. "Yep, I'm freaking out!" His rather upbeat voice didn't really show it
"Akio, Jiro," The pair looked to Mr Aizawa's dull stare, lighting with assurance in his own way. "Don't concentrate on your doubts and focus on passing; you're both capable of this, all of you."
Akio grinned earnestly. "Thanks... Eraser," He nodded.
"If you can pass this exam, you're no longer mere eggs, but chicks, semi-Pros of your own making," Mr Aizawa had a strange way of telling it, but Yuki smiled in understanding. With this, if Kovik makes a move, she'll be able to act on it. "I expect your best."
"You got it, boss!" Yuki grinned, leaning her elbow on Izuku's shoulder, giving him an encouraging thumbs-up. "Let's crush this exam, Zuzu!"
He nervously smiled and nodded alongside her; just seeing her smile was enough to kick his determination to win higher. "Right."
Kirishima then took the initiative, standing proudly before the lot, "Yuki, you ready!?" She quickly slipped from Izuku's side, holding her fist beside the redhead's. "Let's call out the usual guys!" Neither realized the presence slipping in behind them. "On our mark, Go Beyond, Plus-!"
"ULTRA!" "-Jesus Christ!" Yuki screamed after someone with a gruff voice bellowed out the word before the pair, her arms wrapped around Kirishima like a startled cat, eyes wide toward the man that yelled.
It was a large man wearing a white dress shirt and black trousers, fit with a cap. The people behind him shared this too, but the man was very enthusiastic even though his partners seemed to disagree with his sudden outburst, one putting their hands behind their back with a sigh. "You know, it's obscene to barge into other people's huddles like that, Inasa."
He grinned, piping up. "Oh, pardon me!" He brought his head up and then promptly buried into the earth, utterly perplexing Yuki and Kirishima, alongside the rest of the class. Yuki quickly made a circular motion around her ear. "I am so! Very! EXTREMELY SORRY!"
Yuki heard Izuku freak out while Kaminari gawked. "Who is this guy? I do not trust his enthusiasm?"
Having recovered from... whatever that was, Yuki tilted her head at the man. "U-um, i-it's fine, really, you just sorta... startled us," She closed her eyes warily. "Please stop trying to bury your head in the ground, scary man..." Upon opening her eyes, that was when Yuki realized something; she gasped, knowing exactly where she's seen that uniform before. "You're from that other school..."
"Hey, yeah, I thought their uniforms looked familiar," Kyoka murmured; Akio just scratched his forehead.
"Eh?" He was clueless, given the fact he's never been to a school outside of UA
"UA in the East, Shiketsu in the West." Katsuki summed up a rather strange form of coincidence that was. But now, the air of ease gave way to tension. They knew the stakes of their exam, but against those not only a year or two above them but also people from a school comparable to UA, this spelt for trouble and turmoil.
The guy from before, Inasa, shot back up like a rocket. "I JUST WANTED TO SAY IT ONCE, PLUS ULTRA! YOU SEE, I ALWAYS LOVED UA, AND I FEEL HONORED TO GO UP AGAINST SUCH INCREDIBLE STUDENTS!" He was extremely excited; the very red aura of intensity was like a hurricane given form; it was almost staggering the energy Yuki sensed. That and he was bleeding, even while walking away after a loud farewell.
That announcement just utterly dumbfounded everyone, yet she smiled; even if his actions rivalled that of Katsuki in terms of explosive energy, he seemed like a good person. While they were rivals, it never hurts to be friendly to the competition; I mean, Yuki did somewhat befriend Dumb-Dumb of all people.
"Inasa Yoarashi," Hearing the name from Mr Aizawa, everyone eyed their homeroom teacher. Hagakure inquiring if he knew him, and the shocking answer that followed certainly made the margin clear. "I do, and he's strong. He's the same year as you are and was the top scorer in the recommended for UA, yet he turned down his acceptance to UA and went to Shiketsu."
Yuki whistled, "That means..." She tilted her head back, spotting the silent Shoto, who eyed the man and his group with keen interest. "He's a higher ranking than you...? Damn..." Yuki didn't have any other words, and Shoto just nodded to her, himself reacting in a way no one could understand nor convey how he felt
However, something else was drawing the bluette's attention, a strange... ominous aura she knew she felt before. "I sense a great disturbance..." It almost made her pale with sickness
"Eraser!?" Mr Aizawa jerked sharply at the voice, and Yuki visibly shattered ghostly white, eyes cracked, wide dinnerplates
"Oh no..." The pair groaned, causing the others to tense. Izuku was surprised by Yuki's sudden gloom at the woman approaching.
A woman with sea-green hair that reaches just past her shoulders and short fringe with splayed ends. She has dark green eyes with bright pupils, but by far, her most prominent feature is her unwaveringly joyous smile. Her costume consists of a sleeveless navy blue shirt with a high collar that's buttoned up all the way to her chin, puffed shorts with a green and orange pinstripe design, and a corset adorned with yellow smiley-face pins, dipping down in a shallow "U" in the centre. Below this, she wears a white V-shaped belt, and on her hands, she has padded yellow gloves with golden plates over her knuckles and lower fingers, which extend in orange-striped tubes down her lower arms, with thick metal cylinders acting as wrist-guards over the top. She also wears an orange bandana. Ms Joke.
"I know that dark look anywhere, I saw you on TV and at the Sports Festival, but it's been a while since we were this close in person!" She waved kindly. Her eyes travelled, ignoring the dark purple lines that weighed on Mr Aizawa's back as his eyes twitched. "Aww, Yuki's here too! How's my bestie's little girl!?"
Yuki, to everyone's shock-horror, even the likes of Shoto and Katsuki were bewildered by the girl's sudden irked expression. "Ehehehe... fine, Ms Joke... just fine." "Someone kill me, anyone but her..."
She stopped before Mr Aizawa. "Let's get married!" She beamed
"No." He shot down in seconds, leaving her a bumbling mess of laughter
"Pfft hahaha, you're a real laugh riot buddy!" She giggled, not seeing the deathly glare on his expression. "And Yuki, you should've taken up my offer on making that mask less intimidating!"
"I'd rather have Vosik impale me again." Was her dark words, eye continuously twitching while the rest became blue with fright at her words. Izuku was shocked by this, remembering how Yuki just... fell apart in his arms that night, it still pained him to know she hadn't completely moved past it, not that he blamed her, but she seemed to joke it off often.
Ms Joke spat with hysterics. "You both look so alike with that doom and gloom frown!"
"As usual, you're impossible, Joke." Mr Aizawa grunted, Yuki nodding her head
"Every time with her, honestly." Neither wanted this, anything else but not this
That's when Izuku went full-on fanboy. "Oh, that's Ms Joke, the Smile Hero!" Stars glimmered in his emeralds, cheeks puffed with a blush that Yuki took note of, her irritated emotions swaying to observe his geekiness. "Her Quirk is Outburst; she can force people to laugh that hinders their thinking and ability to move, her fights are always full of insanity!"
Yuki smirked. "A dork to the end..."
"You see, Eraser if I were your wife, you'd have a life filled with constant laughter!" She grinned with a glint of her knuckle dusters. Yuki didn't understand how she and her Mom were so close, but she assumed it was the rivalry to take Mr Aizawa's heart; no wonder he's so glum all the time; that sounds horrible.
"That sounds like an actual nightmare." Was his reply, causing her cackle, then Eraser put his finger out. "Not you, Viral."
The shadowy hand slipped back into Akio's umbral mass. Meanwhile, Akio perked up. "Soooo... what's the story here', chief? Thought the love/hate relationship between you and Viral was the only action to speak of?" He shivered slightly at the red sheen in the teacher's eye. "Ehehehe... please don't hurt me."
"Our agencies were near each other," Joke began, blushing cutely while rubbing her hands together. "As young heroes striving to make a difference in the world, a mutual love bloomed-!"
"No, it didn't." Eraser scowled. "Now I see why Akame gets so heated around you; you two are both impossible to deal with at once." "I am not awake for this..." He pinched his nose
"Ah, I always love your quick retorts!" Joke continued, then zipped over to Yuki, grinning widely. "I heard you got yourself a special someone to love and cherish too, hmm?"
Yuki's smile wavered. "Y-yeah... and?" She felt she shouldn't have said that; growing tense, she should not have said that.
Joke beamed with glee. "Is it one of them?" She pulled Yuki into her arms, wiggling the girl side-to-side. "Am I sensing a future married couple among Class 1-A?"
"M-M-MARRIED!?" No one ever expected Yuki to break out in a deep red blush that coated the tips of her ears, waving her arms hysterically. "W-W-Why would I-I-I-I um... uhh..." Her head was spinning, completely lost without direction. ".EXE not functioning..."
Izuku himself copied her reaction, face unbearably crimson while a few girls cooed at the sight of the two, himself completely unable to get a word in at all as his mind ran rampant. Yuki and he as a married couple wasn't anything that remotely sprung to mind that he could properly contemplate, only now his mind flooded with the idea, causing steam to soar from his ears.
"Wow, he's redder than your hair, Kirishima." Sero chuckled
"Yuki's a complete contrast to her hair, hehehe!" Mina squealed, and thankfully, a binding tore Yuki away from Joke, leaving her head to spin as she recovered from the shock by Mr Aizawa's arm
"Joke, please stop distracting my students with your stupid comments." He warned, the woman waving her hand giddily
"Sorry-Sorry, young love is always so fun to see!" That just left Yuki with a permanent blush on her cheeks, utterly silent while she slid her mask over her face for the time being. She wanted the world to open up and devour her.
"So, Joke," He began, keeping his student upright while Izuku flopped his back against the bus, attempting to cool himself off from the mortifying embarrassment. "If you're here, then that means..."
"That's right, over here, everyone, this is UA!" Joke waved over her own students, these guys sporting a grey dress shirt and dark trousers. "Second Years from Ketsubutsu Academy, this is class 2, these are my students."
"H-h-hey, Yuki, a-are you okay?" Izuku couldn't even look Yuki in the eye; her own dialled according to the mask while she nodded. "O-oh, good..." "What the heck can I say after that!? Now I can't stop thinking a-a-about..." He did his best to suppress his blush, then jumped, finding her hand held out for him. "Huh...?" He blinked, seeing the curves in her eyes while awaiting his hand. Slowly, a small, shy smile returned, and he graciously took her hand gently, the two interlocking fingers side-by-side.
Suddenly their moment was interrupted as a hand grabbed Izuku's. A boy with spiky black hair and matching onyx eyes. His smile was kind and approachable. "Hey, nice to meet ya, Shindo, seems like UA's had alot of trouble lately, must have been tough for you."
Izuku just nervously gulped at the surprising amount of kindness, yet Yuki didn't blink. "U-Um yeah." His hand reached out for Yuki's left, but she slowly clasped his, eyes then narrowed
"He's kind to us, but that look in his eyes..." She wasn't blind; that was the gaze of a predator sizing up his prey; she'd be lying if that didn't get her heart beating a little faster. "Pleasure."
"I heard about that incident with the Villains, must have been hard on you, especially after that horrid fight on TV." He brought up her battle with Vosik, but she shrugged
"Meh." She chuffed, the man chuckling at her bemused response before moving on with his greetings. Now alone, Yuki nudged Izuku's side. "Be on guard; he's our enemy." He blinked, surprised by her sudden shift in tone but ultimately gulped and nodded
"Right,"
"-Hearts full of fortitude, I believe that's what every hero in the world needs to have!" He was the definition of 'Prety Boy', though Yuki doubted anyone in her class would fall for that, though he seemed nice enough. However, a hand then tapped his shoulder. "Huh, oh, sorry, I forgot you were behind me, Yukio."
The girl, Yukio, was a head shorter than Shindo. She wore the same as her peers but had a longsword bound in a white cloth strapped to her back by a black scabbard and belt. Her raven hair concealed her left eye, a few flicks of her short locks tinted snow-white, and her right eye stared back at everyone with a cool, calm ocean-blue gem, the pupil locked with a serious tone. Her lips seemed to form a downward 'V' until she addressed the class.
"Greetings, I look forward to our battle," That raised a few brows. 'Battle', not everyone understood why, but a few had a suspicion that would be one of the occurring factors in the exam, and she openly admitted to it with a solemn tone, bowing her head at the UA students. "I apologize if my companion was a little forward, he tends to be far more open toward others."
Shindo chuckled, rubbing her nape. "You're just saying that because you're always so moody," Her eye snapped to him with a 'hmph', causing him to jolt. "Haha, sorry-sorry."
"You!" A voice thundered, shattering the pleasant atmosphere around the two schools as Akio panicked, trying to pull himself back as his shadow tugged him forward
"Guys-guys-guys, help-help, Nightmare's gone crazy!" Akio was panicking, trying to stop himself. Quickly Kirishima and Kaminari moved to hold his shoulders, but the force was too much, forcing his shadow to reel back, the gravity shoving the boys down while Akio stumbled.
"Akio, what's-!" Kyoka froze alongside Izuku and Yuki, their hearts pounding as Akio's eyes turned violet, his panic moulting into a hateful scowl while the marking on his eye burned a bright magenta toward the stoic Yukio. "Oh, crap... Viral's..."
"You... you dare show up here!?" He snarled, practically lunging at Yukio, who turned to address him, gauging a small gasp from the girl as she stepped back, the boys returning to hold him back as he tried to swipe at the girl, fire, unlike any scorching his eyes. "And here I expected you to be kissing our Goddess's feet, what, the high-life not good enough for a worm-like you, Velk!?" That also made the girl's one visible eye widened slightly
"'Velk'?" "Who's that?" "Maybe her first name?"
"Akio, get ahold of him now!" Eraser warned, leaving Joke shocked by the outburst from the chipper student toward her own
Akio's eyes flashed, one turning pale green as he grunted, allowing Kirishima and Kaminari to hold him back alongside Yuki pressing him back by the chest. "I-I can't... sorry - y-you're... he really h-hates you..." He winced, pain coursing through him. "Viral, cut it out, you old man!"
"Not now, Akio!" Viral spat, eye twitching while jabbing a finger toward the girl. "I don't care for your fleshbag; I'll never forget your soul, you rat..." His voice hissed like a feral beast. "You come near anyone here; you fucking dare touch a hair on their heads, and you'll wish Eve was here to save you!"
"Dude, calm down!" Kaminari snapped
"Viral, Viral, look at me!" Yuki tugged his chin to look down at her eyes, pleading for him to listen. "Just calm down and tell us why you're a second away from killing some random student."
"It is due to my ally he is troubled," Everyone paused, Kyoka snapping her head away from Akio/Viral to give the aloof girl the floor. She sighed, brushing aside her bangs to shock half the class at the revelation; she bore the same marking as Akio around her eye, only white and in the shape of a long diamond around her eye. "I too am bound to a Nightmare, and it is this reason yours feels ill-will toward me."
"You're damn right I do," Viral huffed, yanking the trio off his arms, no longer fuming as he pointed the finger at the girl. "I don't care about you, girl, but that Nightmare, Velk, is nothing but a curse, the fact you actually bonded with that traitorous scum is worrisome," He scowled with so much hatred and pain in his eye, so much no one had ever seen before. "My warning stands, you lay a finger on this class, and so help me, you'll wish I killed you back then," With that, he, along with Akio's body, took off. "I'll be back for the exam, so don't bother glaring at me, Eraser... I'm not in the mood."
"H-hey, wait a sec-" Izuku was stopped by Kyoka's hand, herself finally able to breathe before flashing everyone a worried look.
"Mr Aizawa, is it alright if-" He just put his hand up, nodding.
"Just so long as you're both back in time, you won't be disqualified; get going." With a thankful bow, Kyoka ran off after the furious Nightmare and perplexed Host. the whole ordeal bringing the mood down a little
"That was seriously intense; it felt like trying to hold back a mountain." Kirishima looked down at his hands in bewilderment
"Seriously, I've never seen him get so worked up before, have you girls?" Mina asked, but everyone shook their heads, all just as dumbfounded by the startling event
"Even we've never heard of a Nightmare outside of Yukio's actually knowing her; most just want to cause trouble." Shindo shrugged
Yukio sighed again, patting her bangs down. "I apologize; we did not expect another of her kin to be here, for that I humbly apologize." She bowed, then Joke ruffled her hair. "Please stop, Miss; you're messing my hair up again."
"It's fine, Yukio," Joke passed along a smile. "I really should have warned your school, but you're not the only ones with another-worlder in your class, Yukio is also one of these 'Hosts',"
Izuku was utterly surprised by this. First, it was just SIVA being from another world alongside Kovik and Dren, and since Viral and Ravage, he never believed he'd meet another Host, though her Nightmare didn't seem as open as Viral would proclaim. It was always expanding his questions as to how connected other universes were to their own and the effects it'll all have on their world, so far, pretty fifty-fifty.
Having enough banter and drama, Eraser addressed the students, "Putting aside what just happened, you're still here for an exam, get your costumes, and head to orientation; there's no time to waste."
"Much as I hate to leave without a conclusion..." Yuki knew this wasn't her mess to clean up; Nightmares were more of Kyoka's and Akio's speciality. Clapping her hands, she flicked her mask to her temple. "Alright, guys, let's go and get ourselves some licenses so we can kick villain butt!"
"YEAH!" That got the morale working, even among those from Ketsubutsu Academy seemed to put at ease under her boisterous banter. If there was one thing Yuki loved about having her voice, she could now express herself far better than with notes, but that didn't mean she didn't still use them at times just for habit's sake.
|I believe he requires sustenance|
"Gee, you think?" Yuki quirked a brow; the man giving the orientation was... lax, to say the least. He was hanging by a thread, swamped with work to the point that he was grumbling about coffee and sleep between the introductions. Although to her right, she was happy to see Akio was back in control, Kyoka ensuring him and Viral were indeed okay given that passionate outburst, she wondered just what Viral's connection to 'Velk' was, but right now wasn't the time, she had an exam to pass.
The harrowing news was what dropped everyone's guts into a suffocating pit. Due to Stain's words, before Kovik silenced him, the world had been touched by his words, many influenced and changed by his ideals, leading to the sudden elimination of many here. By the calculations made, Yuki rounded out that only one per cent would pass out of the over one-thousand-five-hundred students competing for their licenses. One Hundred students, to be exact.
"-Anyway, here are the basic rules," The announcer mumbled on, not really caring for the chaos he just brewed, holding up a pad and ball. "A person will place three of these targets on their body, so long as they are not hidden within the costume, under the armpits or soles of their boots anywhere is fine," He instructed, the screen displaying the diagram for all to see. "Everyone gets six of these balls, and the targets will light up at contact with one of them; once all three are red, you are eliminated - God, I need coffee -."
"You beat this round by taking down two people, oh, and the one that scores the third hit gets the point, so feel three to abuse another's gaining if you wish; I don't care." He grumbled. Though now Yuki saw how this'll work
"So if we just wait around for someone to gain two glowing targets, we can claim that as our own; it's stingy but a smart move if you're not combat orientated," She murmured, rubbing her chin alongside Izuku.
"Of course, that also means the same for us; we'll be putting a huge risk on our backs since others would likely do the same, just like the Entrance Exam only with people and a vast array of powers." She nodded at his query, neither realized just how similar they were with their analysis, especially since Yuki could vocalize her thoughts
"What else... oh right, while handing out the equipment, the two under the title of 'Host' cannot receive aid from these sources, but if you can use your Quirks in tandem without their assistance, it's fine or something," He murmured, raising a few voices, then Akio blurted out
"OH, COME O - MMPH!" Though they swore it was Viral as Kyoka slapped her hand over his mouth to keep his complaints silent, herself nervously smiling with an embarrassed blush
"Once we've finished handing out the buttons, you'll have a few minutes to situate yourselves before we open." That then caused a meagre pause
"Open?" Shoto murmured
"I don't like this." Yuki agreed, then the world shook, forcing her to use Izuku to balance herself as the walls and ceiling slowly tore themselves apart, causing her nervous grin to stretch. "Hehehe, I love being a hero-in-training..." It was just too much fun for her!
By the time the world ceased its shaking, the mighty walls had come down, revealing the massive arena had turned into a battlefield of epic proportions: a jungle and waterfall, a mountain region, a factory in between them. There was a massive highway followed by two variants of the city, one from a Central Business district and the other far more akin to a town.
~I'm sure there are some areas to your Quirks liking and ones you wish to avoid, do your best or not, whatever~ He grumbled into the mic, Yuki and Izuku sharing a look of complete disbelief
"This is so unnecessary..." "Like a freakin' USJ on steroids..."
~I know it makes for a great reveal, doesn't it?~ The announcer thought differently, pushing up onto his feet again sluggishly. ~And all for what?~ He slapped his forehead. ~So much sleep loss for this... hopefully, these kids are fast, and it'll be over soon so I can rest my eyes...~
"Poor guy." Hagakure hummed behind Yuki, herself nodding in tangent with the invisible girl
Soon enough, the battle would begin, the death battle for the top one hundred slots had commenced with hundreds departing alone or in large groups for the battle that would commence; this was more of the prologue, the prep phase for those wanting to ready themselves outside of the immediate centre stage.
Yuki placed her three pads on, slotting her balls away inside her body by condensing them with her nanomachines. She had one pad on her left abs, one on her left bicep, and the third-placed on the back of her right calf. Before she slipped her mask over her face, she wanted to do one last thing.
"Izuku, I gotta split," She declared, surprising many of her class with a wary smile. She saw the look of startlement in his expression. "Something tells me..." She gazed over at Akio, who was mumbling to himself. "...I should keep an eye on him; I doubt either will skip out on fighting with Yukio."
"B-but Yuki, if we split, then you know they'll- Mmph!?" She giggled, silencing her adorable and worried boyfriend with a sweet kiss to the lips, pulling back with a toothy smile at his reddening cheeks as some of the girls cooed at the sight. "A-are you sure you'll be okay?"
Patting her chest, she flicked her mask on, eyes flashing scarlet. "I got SIVA by my side and a little minty luck on my lips," She winked, again making him flustered, but in all honesty, he didn't mind and bravely spoke up.
"I-If you need help, I'll come find you, I promise!" She stopped moving, glancing over her shoulder with a hidden tint of pink to her face, then her eyes curved with that familiar, sweet hum
"Thanks, my Hero." Leaving him starstruck, she ran to Akio's side, himself stretching and popping his limbs as he skipped along the wasteland toward the massive lake, clearly already sensing where the VIP was waiting. "So... not sticking by Kyo?"
"Na, she and the girls have their own plan, and besides," He giggled, poking her ribs. "We both know you want to see what this chick's made of, eh?" She'd be lying if that wasn't selfishly true; something about her cooling presence just... enticed her to fight, like a challenge awaiting a worthy opponent. "We all know what's waiting for us."
Yuki nodded while they sprinted across the barren terrain that started to become a little hilly. It was obvious from the get-go since they're from UA, everyone's seen their abilities in action from the Sports Festival. They know their powers, weaknesses, and strengths, yet that's the issue; those that rely solely on that information would fall victim first.
They believed they all had the advantage and would gun after all of UA first, but with every battle against the villains and Kovik's acolytes, the harsh battle on I-Island, they had all grown and evolved in their own ways. Comparing the students of class 1-A, Yuki's friends, to who they were before is a major mistake!
Enemies detected | Dozens of signatures flared | Hmph, as predicted
Akio cracked his knuckles, slowing down to allow Yuki the vanguard. Dozens of students appeared from hiding, someone manipulating the earth under them to reveal their camouflaged bodies, Quirks beginning to react and set off Yuki's sensors. "Gotcha, UA brats!"
"Think you got the edge just 'cause you're from such a shiny school above ours!" "We're about to blow you away!" "Tch, maybe if we keep the girl around, she can be a little more fun to play with!" "That guy's already retreating; what a joke!"
"Of course, I'm retreating!" Akio waved from his own little hidey-hole. "You'd be crazy to get in that scary lady's way!" She was going to punch him for that jab. "Have fuuuuun~!" He slowly shrank into the dirt with a giddy wave
"SIVA Enhance-!" Yuki declared, the wave of orange balls hurtling toward her at amazing speeds, two of her own deployed with a tint of red sparkling around them. It was a hurricane of orange deathtraps, so there was no use evading; she had to scatter the masses. Two extra arms emerged, her mask warping to an angular shape on her right side, a narrow, white slit for an eye, while everything below her knees and elbows turned to metal claws and armour. "-Fifty Percent!"
Kicking off her heels, she threw herself into a horizontal curve, tossing both her balls to sling against her left shin, the limb bursting with a wide arc of red plasma. "Perfected... Divide!" She shot a horizontal snap-kick against the opposition, creating an overpowering burst of hot, electrified air that tore back the balls, propelling them toward their users as they scattered or were thrown back by the gale force, clearing the wasteland as some quickly recovered and retreated, Akio cackling at their hasty retreat in a panic
Landing strong, Yuki breathed slowly, feeling her body's muscles tense as a vain cackle reverberated in her ear, but she shook it off and turned to the chilling gust of wind that snuck through her armour. "Akio, she's here..."
"Aye..." He breathed slowly, drawing his fists alongside Yuki. "So, ready to settle a matter between your Nightmare and my grumpy old one?" His head flinched sharply as if someone flicked his ear
"Indeed, you two seem to be far more than mere amateurs to combat, so I won't disgrace you," Yukio appeared, two students taking the vanguard for her. Her outfit was unique, defining her toned body. She wore a skintight white suit under light grey armour coated in scales, obsidian tipped gloves and boots, and a smooth breastplate. Revealing her face with a white scarf around her neck, tinted light-blue at the edge that flapped in the brittle wind behind her. "However, they wish to battle you first."
"Such a formidable attack," The blonde murmured, looking mighty confident with golden-yellow eyes staring inquisitively at the pair. He had blond hair, a slim build, and fair skin. He wore a brown breastplate vest along with a white scarf-cape with golden embroidery. He wears brown pants, dark gloves, and black boots. His hair is medium cut with a long braided ponytail. "Let us have a fair 'bout; I should inform you that during the chaos, I have obtained one point, so have my companions."Then he blinked, shaking his head. "My apologies, my name is Lux Draco, the 'Light-Bearer'."
"Damn, straight, bud!" A cocky man wearing a yellow and red suit, his hazel eyes peering through a yellow-tinted visor. His costume was a jumpsuit fitted with a pair of black gauntlets fitted like curve-plated vambraces, his suit having a net-like pattern across the barding—a mask covering his whole face bar the visor. "Call me Kotaro Kaneko, aka the Shocker."
"Did he seriously rip off Spiderman?" Yuki and Akio deadpanned, both dropping their forms briefly. Of course, Kotaro caught on to this.
"Oi, what's wrong with taking up a classic's name!?" Both shifted at his sudden outburst, stomping his foot. "Every Goddamn time, what's everyone's problem!?"
"Okay... touchy subject." Yuki put her hands up. "No offence, just kinda surprised, honest!"
"Yeah, whatever!" He didn't seem convinced, waving them off
Yukio placed a hand on her chest. "My name is Hana Yukio; my handle is Velkhana." The very name gave Yuki chills, a strange, arctic breeze resting in the air
Akio cracked his knuckles, shadows gathering around his fists with giddy excitement. "This ought to be a blast, right bud?" He grinned ear-to-ear toward Yuki, herself chuckling, keeping her fists locked and ready for a heavy fight ahead. "Hello~! Akio's the name, but Viral's good too!"
"I'm Yuki Azuru," She gave a small nod, red nanites crackling around her curled fingers. There was no turning back now; with one final silent good luck to Izuku and the rest of her class, she focused all her attention on beating those that stood before her. "I'm the Enhanced Hero, Aksis!"
Draco snapped his fingers, five radiant, golden swords drawn behind his back in a five-point circle. Kaneko cracked his knuckles together, a small, vibrating burst causing the earth to quake under his feet. Yukio breathed an ice-white mist from between her pink lips.
It was to be a tense battle between UA and Ketsubutsu Academy.
