A/N: Again, thanks for all the feedback!
BigSmokeYeet- don't worry, that part come soon. I mean hey, it took like seven chapters for them to kiss. Good things come to those who wait!
recordman, let me clarify what I wanted to say with the Orb of Death. With it reacting to the fog, that allowed it to create the Death Knight, something it normally couldn't do (otherwise Khajiit would've done so). Also, the amount of negative energy it can gain through death is limited- it was brimming with negative energy because in this version of the story Khajiit only summoned one Skeletal Dragon instead of the two he did in the original. As for the Theocracy, there are plans for them... eventually.
Regarding Guest's thought that people would assume Suzuki is a godkin- that's possible, but I don't think Fluder knew about the godkin.
Peroroncino, I've already decided how the ritual goes and Suzuki would definitely reject becoming a dragon in this story. Plus, Players couldn't pick dragon races to play as in Yggdrasil anyway.
Darkdoom III, the comparison of underwater levels to AH was a reference to something that Videogame Dunkey once said in a video. As for your plan of Suzuki harvesting XP, the Orb of Death only harvests a small fraction of negative energy from undead, and yeah, Suzuki could level up there, but there might be better places to gain XP for him in the future.
TheDemonicSaint, I don't actually know how old Suzuki is, so I'll give you that. What I wanted to say was that due to pollution, Suzuki's original body seemed older than it was and this body of his was copied from his original one, which is why I also said his skin appeared far healthier than it did before. Then again, I don't know how old he looks, given I haven't seen the movie or the manga. He was playing Yggdrasil for ten years, so it depends on when he started playing the game.
juegoslx, that's a good question. What I want to do here is that I'll have Suzuki gain XP from summons like undead if those summons are permanent creations like the ones that Khajiit did. If he fights a temporary summon like those Albedo summons, he gains no XP. This is to stop him from power leveling too easily, and also I don't think that would work in Yggdrasil anyway.
The second review left by a Guest reviewer, you mention that Suzuki should've started at level zero or have a level in human. But it's canon that human races don't have racial levels, and as far as I can tell, you can't be level zero in Yggdrasil. In normal RPGs or MMOs, you can't be level zero either. How it works normally is that on starting the game, you are given the option of choosing one path you want, like warrior or mage, and you're given a single level in that. Granted, Yggdrasil could definitely work differently, but as far as I know, there was no level zero in there either, so it probably worked like how I am describing.
Jeff Z, quite interesting on Suzuki walking past human corpses part. I find it odd then that he said that he might've fainted on seeing the massacre of Carne normally at the beginning of the anime. I didn't read that part on karma values, and just assumed it worked like that. With that, thank you.
And to everyone, thank you for all for your comment and for reading. I hope I've made some things clear about what I was getting at also through this section.
Fluder had been quite surprised when Albedo and Suzuki showed up the next day and told him that they had a dragon heart ready to use. Fluder told Suzuki that unfortunately, it would take Fluder some more time to procure his own set of regents and that he had thought he would've had all of them by the time they would've returned with the dragon heart.
"Ah, that is understandable. So, have you thought of your price?" Suzuki asked.
Fluder scratched his chin for a while and said, "Are you doing anything important today? Or do you have some free time?"
"We aren't doing anything important at the moment, no," Suzuki replied.
Why wasn't Fluder answering the question Suzuki had just asked him?
"Ah, there is something I would like you to see first," Fluder said. "A project of sorts within the Ministry of Magic I have been working on."
Fluder motioned for the two of them to follow him, and Suzuki shot Albedo a questioning look. This whole plot had initially been her idea, but she did not give him a response aside from smiling gently at him.
'What's with that coy smile? Do you think I've got this whole situation under control or something?' Suzuki thought these things to himself. He could not however voice his frustrations as Fluder was still within earshot.
Suzuki considered the possibility that Fluder might be leading them into an ambush or trap of sorts, but even if he was, Suzuki reasoned that they could get out unharmed using teleportation magic. Suzuki had not, as of yet at least, seen magic that could block teleportation being used in this world, though he did need to tell himself that he couldn't confirm that it didn't exist at all.
Several people saluted Fluder as they went to a room filled with Skeletons who were working on a field. The soil must have been dumped into a kind of pool for this to work, Suzuki figured.
The robed magic casters all turned to greet Fluder, and Fluder waved them away with a flick of his hand. "Please continue with your work- pay me no heed."
He then turned to Suzuki. "Suzuki-dono, you are a necromancer, correct?" His investigations into the Adventurer's Guild of E-Rantel had yielded that information, but the man before him seemed to have plenty of secrets and Fluder wanted to see if he was right.
"Yes," Suzuki said.
"Well, I have been running a project here," Fluder said. "I have been attempting to control undead to use as agricultural workers."
Suzuki nodded- he too was doing something similar with Carne. However, the thing was that he had gained the ability to create lower-tier undead only when he had surpassed level forty. "How are you controlling such large numbers of undead?"
"Ah, allow me to demonstrate," Fluder said. "I have a spell of my own creation." He shouted out to one of the magic casters standing to the side. "Release your hold on one of them, Gregory!"
The man bowed and complied- one Skeleton left the herd and turned to strike at the living which surrounded it. No one was really worried about a Skeleton of all things though.
"Obey," Fluder said, and the Skeleton halted in its tracks. "This spell of mine lets me control them- though it has its limits."
Suzuki understood- in Yggdrasil there were many spells which were made to mimic skills or abilities. For example, the eighth tier spell Dimension Lock was based off the skill which angels and demons could use by the same name to block teleportation.
Controlling the undead could only be done by priests who worshipped evil gods who were extremely rare or by stronger species of undead. The skill Dominate was something that Suzuki had been able to use while being an Overlord, but he could not use it now. A necromancer in Yggdrasil could summon and buff undead, but not control undead that others had summoned or which were found in the wild.
At least, not normally.
It appeared that Fluder had found a way around this limitation by creating a spell that mimicked the Dominate skill of the undead- something that did not exist in Yggdrasil. Suzuki had made a mental note earlier to find out exactly how it was that people of this world managed to make new spells- it was definitely something he wanted to look deeper into.
Before Suzuki could think about it any further, something strange happened. It was as if watching Fluder cast that spell had triggered a chain reaction in his mind. It was as if a neural circuit somewhere inside his brain suddenly began overflowing with information. He had no idea what it meant, until a new spell appeared in his head that he could learn:
Obey
Suzuki was taken aback- this was a spell of the sixth tier. Up till now, the only times he had been able to learn New World spells just by observing them was with very weak first tier spells. Why had this option presented itself to him then? The only rational explanation he could come up with was that it might've been an effect of him committing many levels to his necromancy job classes.
Suzuki committed one of his available spell slots to this new spell- it being the first New World spell he had added to his repertoire. He then knew exactly what it could do. He could use it to control the undead, but it was limited to a total of ten undead as well as a total level limit of fifty levels. In addition, there was a limit to how powerful an undead creature one could control with it- but on the other hand, once a creature was put into a caster's control, it would be impossible for it to break free unless the caster died or released the undead willingly.
"Fluder-dono, could I request that you release that creature from your control?" Suzuki asked.
Fluder obliged, curious as to what Suzuki wanted to do and let the Skeleton roam free, and then Suzuki used his new spell. "Obey."
The Skeleton once again stopped in its tracks, enthralled by Suzuki's spell. Suzuki could feel an invisible connection form between himself and the undead creature.
Fluder's eyebrows rose. He had spent many years formulating that spell- and this caster had managed to mimic it just by seeing it once? No- it was more likely that this man had independently come up with that spell on his own. The chances of that were low, but still- it was far more plausible than the first explanation.
"Of course, there are some undead which are difficult to control," Fluder said as Suzuki let go of the Skeleton and it was enthralled by one of Fluder's disciples using a weaker version of the spell that Fluder had created. "I would like you to see this one in particular."
They went deeper into the Ministry, and many guards gave them quizzical looks but a few words from Fluder meant that they could easily reach the deepest depths of the Ministry.
There was a foreboding door and a tense atmosphere all around them as the doors to this room opened.
"Come with me," Fluder said, his voice having dropped to a whisper.
Suzuki and Albedo walked in to see that there was a large undead chained to a pillar.
A Death Knight.
"I received a report that you had fought an undead like this on the Katze Plains," Fluder said. "From a group of Imperial Knights."
"That is correct," Suzuki said.
"I have been trying to control this creature for many years now," Fluder said. "But the spell I made was unable to capture its heart."
"Yes," Suzuki said. "The Death Knight is equivalent to a monster summoned by sixth tier magic- and to control an undead creature you must be a good deal stronger than it. One would probably need a seventh or eighth tier spell probably to control a Death Knight."
Fluder nodded. "I had suspected as such. Obey!"
The spell failed as the Death Knight continued writhing and attempting to lash out.
"Obey!" Suzuki said, but his spell too, failed.
Fluder smiled- at last he had found something both of them were bad at. But if the report had been true- Suzuki had slain this undead with a single spell. If he was capable of using eighth tier magic, this was not impossible, Fluder thought. After all, if he had been able to defeat this monster by bombing it with spells, a very powerful eighth tier spell might indeed possibly be enough to finish it in a single blow. The thing was that he had no reference really for how strong an eighth tier spell was- he was only estimating it from the knowledge he had of the lower tiers of magic, but he concluded that it was a possibility that his estimates would be off by a large margin.
Suzuki grimaced at the sight of the Death Knight thrashing about wildly- resisting his control no matter how much he tried. He thought of the times when he had been able to summon them with a snap of his fingers. Memories of him as Momonga flooded his mind, and it was then that something akin to a miracle happened.
It was as if someone had lit a fire in his belly- his feeling earlier of parts of his brain awakening returned tenfold- now it felt as if his brain was being overloaded with information and energy, and additionally Suzuki felt as if something long dormant within himself had now woken up.
Suzuki raised a hand and cast a spell. He had no name for it yet, but given that it was a modified, stronger version of Fluder's Obey spell he guessed it could be called Absolute Obedience. It was a spell of the eighth tier, and the Death Knight ceased its thrashing and flailing, now under Suzuki's sway.
It was the first spell that Suzuki had ever created- had he been able to do it thanks to his levels in necromancy, or because he had once slain a Death Knight? Or were the memories from his time as Momonga what awakened the spell inside him? Suzuki himself had no idea.
Fluder's smile was wiped off his face. "Wh-how?"
"I should thank you, Fluder-dono," Suzuki said. "Thanks to you, I have learned two new spells today."
It was all that Fluder could do to stop himself from weeping. How? Why? How could someone just waltz into his life and demonstrate such proficiency with magic?
Fluder knew then and there that his talent had not lied to him. Fluder couldn't believe half of the things he had just witnessed, but now he knew deep down that most likely, Suzuki was had not been lying about a single thing that he had said.
"In such a case, Suzuki-dono, no- Suzuki-sama, I am ready to state my price," Fluder said. "Please, accept me as your follower."
"E-Eh?" Suzuki said, startled. "But- why?"
"Long have I wished to peer into the chasm of magic," Fluder said. "And I had bemoaned the fact that there were none greater than I- and yet, when you came before me I could not control my jealousy and almost struck out at you. For that I am sorry, and I am willing to atone for that by helping you grasp a longer lifespan. I have but one desire though. I wish to learn magic from you, Suzuki-sama."
"B-But," Suzuki stammered before he was able to make a coherent reply. "Fluder-dono, I understand what you feel, but, what I know about magic can't simply be taught. I am a sorcerer, you see, and my magic comes from within me. It's not born out of years of study as yours is as a wizard. Even now, if you ask me how I created that new spell I just did, I wouldn't have an explanation for you. I can't explain it. Plus, I've never had a student before, so I'm afraid I would be a terrible teacher."
"That is not an issue," Fluder said. "I believe that simply by observing you I would be able to learn quite a deal, even if you are the worst teacher on the planet, I do not doubt that I could still gain much knowledge by following you."
The fact was that Fluder knew that he didn't have much time left- perhaps forty or fifty years at most. He could spend that time here in the Empire trying to make progress by himself, but he knew that he wouldn't get much further than he had already come on his own. On the other hand, he was sure that this man could at least let him glimpse those heights he sought to reach, and that was far more than what Fluder was certain that he could achieve currently.
As it was said- give a man a fish and feed him for a day, but if you teach him to fish you will feed him for a lifetime. That was why Fluder had rejected the scroll that Suzuki had offered him- the scroll was probably made by Suzuki, and so Fluder felt it would be better to follow him around so that he might get stronger instead of getting a powerful single use item. Dropping everything to follow this stranger was risky, true, but if Fluder stayed where he was it was guaranteed that he would make very little progress. Perhaps the day would come when Fluder could create such scrolls himself.
"I-I need a moment to confer with my partner," Suzuki blurted out. Suzuki took Albedo aside to right near where the Death Knight was being kept. If the Death Knight had not been under Suzuki's sway, it would've lashed out at them and certainly landed a hit. "Albedo- what should we do?"
Albedo cocked her head. "That human is not very powerful, but he does have importance in this country. Also, I believe that there is no price which is too high for Suzuki-sama to attain immortality, which is my greatest concern."
Suzuki sighed. Well, if Albedo agreed with it...
He turned back to Fluder. "Ah, I am willing to accept those conditions. However, I should point out that we do not intend to stay in this country for long. We have plans to travel further east."
"Then I will come with you," Fluder said. His position, his prestige- they were all but tools to help him attain greater magical power. He would cast them off like shackles if it could let him fly freely to greater heights with this man.
"For now though, we will be staying here," Suzuki said. "At least, for about a month."
"Understood, Teacher," Fluder said and bowed. "I am in your care."
Emperor Jircniv was enjoying a leisurely ride with one of his concubines.
To be more accurate- he was enjoying being ridden by one of his concubines, and while it was quite leisurely for him, the woman had a bead of sweat which was rolling down her forehead.
This activity was interrupted by the door being opened and Nazami Enec, one of the Four Imperial Knights, barging in.
The woman shrieked and landed a bit awkwardly- resulting in the fracture of a certain organ and leading to Jircniv suddenly screaming in agonizing pain.
Once a healer was called and the imperial blade repaired, Jircniv snarled at Nazami and asked why he had been interrupted. The two of them had moved their discussion to Jircniv's office. Jircniv could not really do anything against the concubine as she was already the mother of one of his children, and as the fact remained, it was mostly Nazami's fault. No one was allowed to interrupt Jircniv when he was with his harem, unless it was extremely urgent.
"I apologize, Your Excellency," Nazami said and bowed his head. "But I have distressing news- Fluder Paradyne-sama had handed in his resignation."
Jircniv's ire was washed away instantly. Part of why he was able to rule with an iron fist was because he had the backing of that old man. If they lost Fluder, then not only would Jircniv's position be weakened and internal enemies in his country be emboldened, but so would enemies in the surrounding nations. It would push the conquest of the Kingdom of Re-Estize back by at least ten years, assuming that it would even be possible without the man. Jircniv couldn't fault Nazami for interrupting him given the nature of the news.
"Why?" Jircniv asked. He was handed a document, and he had trouble comprehending it. He understood the words perfectly, but could not wrap his head around what it said. "He is leaving his position to become an apprentice to the magic caster Suzuki Satoru?"
He thought about it- was the reason that Fluder had given true? Or was it a lie? Had Fluder betrayed him for some other country? No, that seemed unlikely. In that case, and from what Jircniv knew of the man, the only reason he would abandon his post was if he could find a way to learn more about magic.
"Is this magic caster really that powerful?" Jircniv asked. It was hard to imagine someone more powerful than Fluder, but it was the only explanation that he could think of. "Well, there's only one way to be sure- let's arrange a meeting with this magic caster. Invite him to the Imperial Palace. No- before that, let's set a meeting with Fluder first and see if we can change the old man's mind."
The meeting in the Imperial Palace was, on paper, to discuss upcoming war preparations- but it was actually just an excuse for Jircniv to see Fluder. The meeting was going to start soon, but Fluder had been called to meet with Jircniv privately before it started.
"Old man, what is it with you retiring?" Jircniv asked. "Can I not ask you to at least stay on a few years until we've found your replacement?"
"Ah, regarding that, I do not intend to resign immediately, but in the next three or four weeks, but I cannot stay longer," Fluder replied. "Regarding a replacement, Your Excellency, I must apologize- but as no one who could replace me has appeared up till now, it is unlikely that another one would appear even if another decade were to pass. My life has been long, but I know that I do not that much time remaining ahead of me. Eventually, I too will pass through the veil. Given that, I would like to devote the rest of my time to studying with my new teacher."
Jircniv shifted. It was true that no one even close to Fluder's level existed in the Empire, but there were a few things he had to confirm. "Is this new teacher of yours- is he truly that strong to be able to sway you to his side from mine?"
"Let enough be said that the monster we keep within the Ministry of Magic- he was able to tame it," Fluder said.
Jircniv's eyebrows rose. "That thing you said even the Four Imperial Knights could not defeat, even if united?"
"Indeed," Fluder said. "I actually believe to compare his strength simply to that monster is to do him a disservice. He goes beyond that- he has the power of the eighth tier of magic."
Jircniv's eyes widened. "Didn't you tell me earlier that the seventh tier was something mortal men could not achieve, except through massive rituals?"
"Indeed, and he has gone even beyond that," Fluder said. "It honestly filled my heart with jealousy, but after witnessing his feats, I realized that the only path available to myself was to subordinate myself before him."
"Is it possible then to recruit him?" Jircniv asked. "Would this man by the name of Suzuki Satoru be willing to become the Imperial Court Wizard in your place?"
"Hm... if Your Excellency were to recruit him, without a doubt it would be a great help to this nation," Fluder said. "I believe we could conquer E-Rantel this very year if we had his backing us. As for whether or not he would accept, that I cannot say." He then stared at Jircniv with a cold look that the Emperor was not used to. "All I can do is remind Your Excellency that it would be a foolish move to make an enemy of that man."
Jircniv smiled. So this potential loss could be turned into a large gain- if only he could find out what it was that the man wanted. Whatever it was- woman, power, land, or gold- he would provide him with it if he was willing to join the Empire.
Suzuki and Albedo were getting some much needed R&R after their meeting with Osk. The meeting was kind of weird, but they had been successful in scheduling a fight with the Martial Lord next week.
The meeting had been gone smoothly until Osk said he wanted to examine their hands. This was very strange- and even stranger was the fact that he seemed to hold no interest in Albedo's hand, saying that it was "far too delicate for his taste" or something along his lines. He didn't seem too interested in Suzuki's hand either, deeming it also to not be muscular enough.
Really, aside from that though the meeting had gone without a hitch- and Osk had told Suzuki that teleportation and flying magic was forbidden within the arena, but Suzuki was not concerned about that. He had learned that an adventurer group had managed to beat the Martial Lord by kiting him using spells and arrows, meaning it was likely that a seventh or eighth tier spell would take him out, and if not he could always use Albedo as a shield.
Suzuki currently was lying down in an inn located in Arwintar, and was using Albedo's legs as a lap pillow. She had suggested this to him several times, but it was only recently that he felt comfortable enough to take her up on the offer
Albedo was slowly stroking his hair, and Suzuki was considering how he should fight the Martial Lord. Taking his opponent down in a single spell would of course increase his fame, but at the same time, people crowded in the arena to watch a spectacle. He had also been offered a cut of the profits, and it would be bad for him if the people who attended felt cheated out of a fight and demanded refunds. By that logic, perhaps he should instead use a sixth or seventh tier summoning spell to bring out an undead to do combat with the Martial Lord first?
Also, he wondered if it was alright to kill the Martial Lord. While doing so would grant him XP and was the reason he wanted to fight him in the first place, the Empire didn't have access to resurruction magic and that might put him on bad terms with the merchants of this country given he was sure that Osk would not appreciate it.
There was a knock on the door, and Suzuki got up. Albedo's gentle smile now turned into an annoyed frown- she clearly did not appreciate having her alone time with Suzuki interrupted. A man from the inn greeted them and told them that they had received a summon from the Emperor. Well, it was more of invite to a sort of party, but after reading through it Albedo surmised what the Emperor's true intentions must be.
"It is time then- your plan is going perfectly, Suzuki-sama!" Albedo said with a grin.
Suzuki could only stare at her blankly, hoping she would elaborate. When she didn't, he sighed and said, "Albedo, I've said this a hundred times over- you are way smarter than I am. And I'm not saying that to be humble. And I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Ah, don't be shy, my love," Albedo said. "I am talking about your plan to establish our own country!"
Suzuki's jaw nearly touched the floor.
Just how- where did- just what even?
"Albedo, h-how did you reach that conclusion?"
"Ah, that was easy," Albedo said. "First, that time when you said that if we were a country, we could more easily negotiate for magic items! Secondly, when you talked about creating a nation where humans could live in peace! And of course, the fact that doing so is a deed indeed worthy of the guild of Ainz Ooal Gown! As such, we should make a deal with this nation's Emperor! Since Suzuki-sama had recruited Fluder, the Emperor will do anything to keep him! We should offer to help him conquer E-Rantel in exchange for the city, and establish our nation there!"
Suzuki realized that there was a serious misunderstanding here, but then as he spoke to protest- he realized something.
Albedo was brilliant- frighteningly brilliant. To the point where he was sure that running a country would be something she could do far better than anyone else in this world. Suzuki thought of the miseries inflicted upon the Kingdom's people by their own ruler's hands- and the fact that they would eventually be conquered regardless of whatever else happened. Given that, they could actually save the people of the Kingdom from much long term misery by adopting Albedo's plan. Yes, many people would die, but on the other hand, in the long run it was what was best for nearly everyone and people were also going to die if they did nothing.
"Albedo, your plan does have merit to it," Suzuki said. "As such, I think that when we establish this new country- you should become its queen."
Albedo was slightly taken aback, but then smiled excitedly. "Does this mean that Suzuki-sama intends to marry me and make me his queen?"
"No, no," Suzuki said. Albedo's wings drooped down. "I mean to say that you should become the ruler of this new country- I'll go ahead and become your court wizard or something. You're far more suited for ruling than I am." Albedo was very smart, but Suzuki knew she would unleash unspeakable horrors on the human inhabitants of the Kingdom if given the chance. Suzuki thought that his role as court wizard would be to advise Albedo to ensure she made a country where the people living there were happy. It sounded far better than the prospect of crowning himself the absolute ruler of a nation.
"But, Suzuki-sama, I could never raise myself above you," Abledo said. "If you are not confident in your ability to rule, let me become your queen, or prime minister, and rule the country on your behalf. You would only have to give out overall objectives- and I will take care of the rest."
Suzuki sighed. All in all, what Albedo was suggesting certainly did have lots of advantages not only to them and the general public of the Kingdom, but in case the rest of Nazarick was somewhere in this world, or Suzuki's friends were out there, it would be a beacon to signal to them. However, Suzuki still felt it was better for Albedo to become the ruler and him to become her subordinate which would grant him a lot more freedom. For example, he would find it easier to go to foreign nations like that of the Draconic Kingdom to help them and harvest XP.
The downside was that many people were going to die- though he realized given the current political climate many people were going to die anyway. If they played their hand right though, they could possibly limit the amount of suffering that would happen to a small amount.
But, innocents were going to die either way. The faces of Daniel and his family flashed before him.
"I'm sorry Albedo, but we can't do this. It'll pit us against the people of Carne," Suzuki said. "And I don't want to get entangled in politics right now..."
"But Suzuki-sama, haven't you already taken care of that?" Albedo asked. "The people of Carne simply need to reject their draft orders- and if the Kingdom attempts to force them they can use the undead you created to defend themselves!" Suzuki realized that yet again Albedo had misinterpreted his actions.
As he sighed, he suddenly realized that he had leveled up.
He had only been a few points away and was planning on visiting the Katze Plains to get to the next level once he was done resting, but he had managed to gain enough XP from somewhere- oh right, most likely from Enri using his summons to hunt animals.
He devoted another level to True Necromancer.
Mage 15 lv
Battle Mage 10 lv
Sorcerer 9 lv
Necromancer 10 lv
Umbramancer 6 lv
True Necromancer 5 lv
Master of the Dark Arts 2 lv
Total: 0 racial + 57 job = 57 levels
For his effort, he was able to gain his first ninth tier spell- and the spell he chose was Summon Undead 9th. Perhaps he would have to devote more levels to necromancy if he wanted to get one of his signature spells back, Grasp Heart, but the progress so far pleased him. Despite trying, he had been unable to create a new spell of any tier ever since he invented Absolute Obedience. His method involved thinking of a spell he knew from Yggdrasil and trying to modify it somewhat- this approach had yielded zero results up till now, even for spells of the first tier.
A/N: And there we end things!
I have to say here that I'm kind of divided on what I should do now.
The original plan here was that Suzuki and his gang would reject Jircniv's offer to stay, and go on towards the Draconic Kingdom and further East before returning to Re-Estize several years later, where they would then begin the process of finding a nation.
However, the more I thought about it, it actually seemed sort of reasonable to start the process off right now. When Nazarick was brought to the New World, Nazarick most likely fell under Albedo's command in the side story with Evileye, and the surrounding 3 kingdoms were destroyed. Suzuki probably doesn't want to destroy them, but I think that maybe Albedo might be able to convince him to take over the Kingdom. Also, there is some merit to him in starting a nation, as many Players who came to the New World did. The exploration of the rest of the world would happen later.
I initially wanted to go with the original plan, but as I think about it a bit more even the second option seems to have its merits.
What do you guys think? I'd like to have a sort of vote, so leave your opinion in your review. Also, it won't simply be a contest of popularity- if there's only one vote for a choice but the reasoning is very good, I'll go for that.
Either way, no matter how I decide, I hope you guys will continue reading! Thanks for all your support! I will be taking a break from this fanfic to work on Nazarick in the Real World as it is, and when I come back, I'll have a plan to continue the series.
