Author's Note:
RESPONSE: You guys asked that Everyone reacts to last episode. So guess what? Everyone reacted.
Let me know what you think about the chapter! I will always consider your input, however if there is a very important reaction I'd rather have all important characters reacting to it and risk being excessive than leave characters out and have people be annoyed that they didn't get a certain reaction. Kind of like the saying "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."

Chapter 32- Long Time No See
Ruby giggled, "5-5-5 V.I.C.K." She sang.
Nora gasped, "Jaune you should sing Felix's song!"
Jaune vehemently shook his head, "No, never."
Nora turned to Weiss.
"Absolutely not." Weiss crossed her arms.
Nora sagged, "Aw."
"That episode was amazing, I still have goosebumps." Yang held her arm up for everyone to see.
"I'm still shaking." Ruby giggled.
"We are huntsmen, we can cut down ravenous beasts straight out of our nightmares without breaking a sweat. Yet a tv show has this much of an effect on us." Ren chuckled.
"It's scary, Felix was so believable." Blake pointed out. I wonder if Adam felt as betrayed as the Reds and Blues did.
Jaune looked down, "I think part of that was because it was my voice."
"Don't give yourself so much credit, or blame." Weiss said in a comforting voice. "Felix is a great actor."
"It just feels weird." Jaune exhaled. "I wish he wasn't a villain, but that reveal was amazing! And it's kind of cool to see it, but it's my voice. I don't want to hear myself say the things Felix says anymore."
"We know it's not you Jaune." Ruby smiled, "And we don't care what he says."
"Besides I doubt he can say anything worse- Or sing anything worse than what he sang in his song." Yang laughed.
Jaune chuckled, "Yeah.."
"Long Time No See" appeared on screen with the theme.
"That's referring to Carolina and Church obviously." Pyrrha commented.
Blake frowned, very very slightly miffed that she wasn't the one to explain the title.
"WEEKS EARLIER…" appeared on screen.
Open in on the interior of a security room. A mercenary is seen relaxing at his post.
"ABANDONED(?) F.A.C. MUNITIONS PLANT"
Suddenly, the room's motion detector sets off: "MOTION DETECTOR SECURITY ROOM," causing the mercenary to look around. However, the room is vacant. As the alarm continues to sound off, the mercenary turns to it and taps it, briefly turning off the alarm. However, the alarm sets off again, prompting the mercenary to look around the room once again.
"Someone is invisible in the room." Blake guessed.
"Probably Locus." Jaune nodded.
The mercenary then reaches for the alarm, when suddenly, his radio activates, surprising him.
Sam: "(surprised) Ahhh!"
Ruby, Nora, and Jaune also flinched.
"Gah I hate it when shows do that!" Nora grumbled.
Church with his voice changed: "(over radio) Come in security. This is headquarters."
Sam: "(picks up radio) Jesus. Yeah, copy HQ. You scared the crap out of me Harv."
Church: "(over radio) Sorry Sam. Hey, meant to tell ya, got a maintenance ticket for your console. Day shift says throwing up warnings."
Sam: "Yeah, okay. Motion sensor says there's movement in the room but there's nothing here."
"He's in for a rude awakening." Blake commented.
Church: "(over radio) Ah, that's probably it then, you know, bad indicator or somethin'. Or maybe it's that super soldier right behind you who's about to knock you out."
"Is this someone new?" Jaune asked.
Carolina, camouflaged in black armor, appears behind Sam.
Sam: "(chuckles) Yeah. (confused) ...What?"
Carolina punches Sam, knocking him out. The radio slides across the floor.
"Not invisible." Pyrrha smiled, "Camouflaged."
Church: "(over radio) Probably that last one, just a guess. Sleep tight, Sam."
"Church distracted the guard, kind of like how Delta did. Back in season ten." Jaune recalled. "Just long enough for York to get behind him."
"He's also using voice modulation like South did." Ruby added.
Carolina picks up the radio and speaks to Church through it.
"Wait, why is she in her old armor?" Pyrrha asked.
"Maybe they're ret-conning her having the new helmet in season ten?" Jaune shrugged. "Or because this is animated they can have her in her correct armor. But because the new game probably doesn't have the right armor for her they had to use the closest looking armor."
"I sometimes forget that these are not the same people who made the game." Weiss commented.
Church: "(over radio) You set off the motion sensor, Carolina? Amateur hour."
Carolina: "You're supposed to disable the motion sensors?"
Church: "(over radio) Well, I couldn't do that until I got in the room."
Carolina: "And I couldn't get you into the room without setting off the motion sensor."
Church: "(over radio) Well, you could. You just didn't."
Pyrrha and Ruby smiled.
"Their relationship is a lot better, they've gotten used to one another." Pyrrha chuckled.
"And Church is acting more like an actual A.I." Ruby realized.
Carolina: "Can we just get into the database? I need the files."
Church appears on the control panel.
Church: "Already in! Give me a drive."
Carolina inserts a storage unit in the panel.
Carolina: "How long to decrypt it?"
Church: "Oh, please! Already done!"
"A lot more like an actual A.I." Ruby's eyes widened.
"It's weird.. he went from person to ghost to A.I. that didn't really do any A.I. stuff to an A.I. that does do A.I. stuff!" Nora explained.
"Well put." Ren shook his head.
Carolina: "Already?"
Church: "It's a 3-tier lockdown with a 2056-bit encryption key; it ain't rocket science."
"It sounds like it." Ruby scratched her head. "I don't know what any of that means."
"Me neither." Jaune frowned.
Carolina: "You're getting faster."
Church: "Wow... that sounded like a compliment, I will take it."
Carolina: "How long to transfer?"
Church: "About 45 seconds."
Carolina: "And you can't make that go any quicker?"
"That's not a long time." Jaune commented.
Church: "Well, that's the limitation of physical media; don't even get me started on that. Besides, that should give you enough time to deal with the three security personnel who are about to come through the door."
"He's very competent and professional." Pyrrha smiled.
Nora frowned, "Aww what happened to the always angry Church?"
"He accepted that he was an A.I." Jaune explained.
"I like the old Church but this one is cool too." Ruby grinned. "I want him as my A.I."
"Do you really want to hear dad in your head all the time?" Yang asked.
Ruby paused, "Sometimes I forget that's dad. Nevermind."
Carolina: "Wh... which door?"
Church: "There's only one door... They just set a breaching charge, by the way."
Carolina: "WHAT?!"
Church: "Detonates in 3…"
"Church is oddly calm." Ren noted with a chuckle.
Carolina: "Why didn't you tell me?"
Church: "2... I just did."
"I like their dynamic." Pyrrha chuckled.
"They've come a long way. They used to hate each other." Yang chuckled.
Carolina takes cover behind the table in the middle of the room.
Carolina: "Epsilon!…"
Church appears next to Carolina.
Church: "1... Oh, you'll be fine!"
"That's why he's calm. He knows she won't be hurt." Ruby smiled.
The breaching charge goes off, blowing up the door, which flies into the room; three security guards are behind it, pointing their rifles at Carolina. Everything starts slowing down, until time seems to freeze. Church looks at the control panel, where a floating HUD shows the time needed for the transfer, going down REALLY slowly, at approximately 0.025 seconds for every second in his perception.
Church: "If 45 seconds was a long time for you, Carolina... Pfft. Imagine what it is to me."
"Woah.. that's cool." Ruby grinned.
"It's like a superpower! Or a really cool semblance." Jaune added.
Church turns around and looks at the guards, still 'frozen' in time, while he throws away his holographic sniper rifle, which disappears.
Church: "Alright. What do we have here?"
Church gets close to the guards and examines their weapons.
Church: "Well, you boys look well armed. All this for just one girl, huh?"
Pyrrha chuckled, "The same has been said about me."
"Oh me too." Yang cackled. Junior's entire nightclub security force.
"Me three!" Ruby giggled.
"They better say that about me!" Nora smirked evilly.
"I'm sure they do." Ren appeased.
Another HUD pops up, displaying information about the weapons. Unfortunately due to the text being yellow and bright against a bright background.. it's not very legible.
Church: "Really? Model 44?"
Ruby's eyes widened, "Ooohh weapon specs!"
"Can you read the weapon specs?" Blake squinted.
"Charon Model 44.. caseless submachine gun. Uhh full metal jacket .197 caliber rounds." Ruby read off.
"You skipped a bunch." Yang pointed out.
"It's bright yellow on a light background!" Ruby defended.
Blake frowned but for a different reason. "Charon.. where have we seen that before."
"I'm still trying to read this thing." Yang leaned closer to the screen.
"I think the words are too big for you." Blake remarked as she tried to remember where she remembered Charon.
"Good one." Yang laughed.
Jaune rubbed his chin in thought. then snapped his fingers. "The coffee mug guy!"
"The staff of Charon." Blake realized at the same time.
"I mean uh yes, the staff of Charon." Jaune coughed. "The what?"
"Oh yeah, the junkyard in space. That was the ship that was hiding in a.. cloud of trash." Ruby recalled.
"That name is coming up again? It came up before but it was never explained." Weiss raised an eyebrow.
"It's likely something important with how often it's come up." Ren nodded.
Epsilon-Delta appears next to Church.
Church: "Hey, D? Uh, isn't there a high jam probability on those things?"
Delta: "The Charon Model 44 sidearm does not jam. You are thinking of the 42."
Jaune grimaced, "Remember out of mind?"
"Tex must have been carrying a 42." Ruby shook her head. "Wait! Delta?"
The group all turned to look at Delta. A smile spread across Ren's face. "They must have recovered him.." he frowned. "He was erased in the E.M.P. he couldn't have been recovered."
"Memory is the key." Jaune quoted. "It's probably a memory of Delta."
Three light rays are projected from the rifles, simulating the trajectory of the bullets. Two rays end on Carolina's body, one on her head. Church and Delta turn around to look.
Pyrrha grimaced, "Unless she's faster than them there's nothing she can do. It's incredible how they can fight without aura."
"They compensate with their armor." Ruby pointed out. "Their really really cool armor."
Church: "You mean we're thinking of it."
Church disappears.
Delta: "Technically only you are thinking of it. I am just a memory of Delta."
"It's funny that his memory will correct him." Jaune laughed.
"He remembers Delta well." Ren chuckled.
Church reappears next to the wall, observing the situation from the side of the room.
Church: "Well, I like to have someone to talk to. I get lonely sometimes."
"He can literally talk to himself." Jaune commented.
"I do that all the time, in my head." Nora tapped the side of her head.
"And when you sleep." Ren mumbled.
Delta moves next to Church
Delta: "May I suggest buying a dog?"
Ren's eyes widened.
"He made a joke." Jaune paused. "Delta made a joke."
"He hasn't done that before has he?" Pyrrha asked.
"In the past he has been somewhat sarcastic." Ren chuckled. "But that is new."
"They should get a dog.. it'd be a really weird coincidence if they got a corgi." Ruby giggled.
"Why get a dog? Cats are just as loving." Blake grumbled.
Church: "Yeah... I'll consider it."
Epsilon-Theta appears next to them.
Theta: "We're getting a dog?!"
Church: "No, Theta!"
Theta: "Awww…"
Weiss and Yang "awwed."
"I've missed Theta." Yang admitted..
"Look! He's so short next to Church." Weiss added.
Delta: "The model 44 does use computer-assisted aim. You could overload the processor and reduce accuracy by as much as 45%."
Church: "Sounds good. Put the twins on it."
Epsilon's memories of Iota and Eta appear in front of the guards and sabotage the rifles. The HUD shows accuracy decreasing to 49%.
"Charon Model 44
Caseless submachine gun
Technical summary:
Magazine size: 60
Ammo type 5x23 M443 Caseless
Full Metal Jacket .197 Caliber rounds
Rate of Fire 15 per sec
Accuracy 49%"
"The twins must be Eta and Iota. Carolina's A.I. or Wash's and South's." Jaune shrugged.
Ruby grinned, "Yay I can read the weapon specs now!"
Ruby's teammates all eyed her warily.
Ruby leaned forward. "Hm, caseless ammo. Normal for smaller guns. FMJ.. the fire rate is kind of slow compared to huntsman weapons."
Ren nodded, "My SMGs usually fire 20 to 25 rounds per second."
Ruby nodded, "The magazine size isn't bad.. The Charon model is a little basic but at least it doesn't jam. Which is really good! But if they need computer assisted aim that badly.. they can't even aim a machine gun which is a little embarrassing."
Church: "Alright, let's account for that in trajectories."
Theta: "Are you talking to me, or to Delta?"
Delta: "He's talking to all of us, Theta."
Church: "I'm just thinkin' out loud, guys."
The light rays turn into small cones; Carolina is still in the middle of a great part of the shots.
"That's better but not by much." Pyrrha grimaced.
Ruby cringed, "The accuracy is so bad." Ugh I almost want to either melt the guns or fix them.
Church: "Alright... No, that's good, but we can do better."
Theta disappears. A blue signal shows the trajectory of the door after the explosion, ending right next to the table. Theta moves next to the signal.
Theta: "Oh, oh, look at this! You can use the door as a shield!"
Church: "Hey, thanks, buddy!"
"He talks to theta like he's his kid." Yang chuckled.
"It's kind of strange because Church sounds like dad. But I wouldn't mind a little brother if they were like Theta." Ruby commented.
"Me neither." Yang nodded.
Weiss pouted, I'd trade Whitley for Theta… Well actually that's not true, but I would greatly consider it.
A hologram of the door bounces across the room showing the door landing next to the table and falling to the right. An arrow appears next to Carolina, indicating to move behind it.
Church: "Yeah, that's better."
Delta: "Still, blood loss would be-."
Church: "G-God, I'm not done yet, Delta. Just give me a second, ok?"
Delta: "A second is a long time for someone in our time-base, Church."
Church: "(getting frustrated) Just, hey, lis- everybody stop talking to me at once, please!"
"Is he fabricating this conversation or are these truly separate parts of him?" Weiss wondered.
"When we are indecisive we can argue with ourselves." Ren pointed out.
Epsilon's memory of Omega appears directly in front of him.
Omega: "Are you getting angry, Epsilon?"
"I kind of forgot that Omega is like that." Ruby grimaced.
"Where's fun time wacky O'Malley?" Nora asked.
"That we all know and love." Yang added with a chuckle.
Church: "No! I'm fine! Beat it!"
Church waves his hand through Omega and pushes him away.
Omega: "I'm here if you need me."
"When Alpha's rage came in and threatened to take over. He split that off.. I wonder if that can happen again." Jaune pondered.
"I hope not." Ruby frowned.
Theta: "He's scary."
Church: "Hey, he can't do anything as long as we ignore 'em. Okay, kiddo?"
A HUD appears next to Delta, listing the armor upgrades Carolina has managed to retrieve.
"PFL ARMOR ENHANCEMENTS:
Speed Boost - Acquired
Healing Unit - Acquired
Holographic Projection
Active Camouflage
Adaptive Camouflage - Acquired
Temporal Distortion
Domed Energy Shield
EMP - Acquired
Strength Boost
Enhanced Motion Tracker
BioScan - Acquired"
"Oh cool she's gotten a few." Ruby read the list.
Nora gasped, "I have said it a million times and I'll say it a million more! Carolina is becoming the second Meta- she even has a bunch of the A.I's because of Epsilon!"
"Theoretically, all of the A.I." Ren held up his finger.
"All of the A.I. I knew it!" Nora whooped. "She already is the second Meta!"
Pyrrha chuckled, "I suppose in a way she has accomplished his goal."
"Sigma's goal." Ren corrected.
Jaune shook his head, "I think the combination of Maine and Sigma.. are the Meta."
"We are the Meta." Yang quoted.
"And the combination of Epsilon and Carolina makes the second Meta." Nora smirked.
Ren chuckled, "She's not a monster as you thought she would be though."
Ruby frowned as she looked over the list. "Some of these we haven't seen have we?"
"The Speed boost was Carolina's original armor enhancement. And adaptive camouflage." Pyrrha commented. "Those are accounted for."
"Tex's was Active camouflage. But I guess you could say she also had a strength boost because she was as strong as an Ursa." Yang laughed.
"Maine was also very strong." Jaune pointed out.
"C.T. Had the holographic projection." Nora pointed at the screen.
"York had the healing unit." Jaune also pointed out. "Wyoming had temporal distortion. North had the domed energy shield…"
"Wash had the E.M.P." Blake added.
"Emp, look it even says Emp on there." Ruby giggled.
Blake sighed, "The only two unaccounted for are the enhanced motion tracker and the bioscan. Unless you also want to add the strength boost to that."
"I think it's a safe bet to say Tex had it, then the Meta stole it." Yang shrugged. "Because Maine was already brutishly strong before becoming the Meta."
Jaune snapped, "North had the enhanced motion tracker. I remember the heat of what he was laying on was messing with his thermals when he was helping South on the oil rig."
Blake nodded, "And I just remembered, Wash did a bioscan of Caboose. I guess Wash gave Carolina his enhancements."
"That's all of them accounted for.. she could get C.T.'s if she went to the desert." Jaune commented. "But the rest are at the bottom of a freezing ocean."
Delta: "Might I suggest preparing her healing unit?"
Church: "Nope, I'm gonna need the power for her escape."
Delta: "Assuming, we make it that far."
Church: "D, you are killing me with the negativity. (HUD closes)"
"It's always interesting how Delta's logical statements are misconstrued to be negative statements." Ren commented.
"People aren't logical." Yang explained with a chuckle.
Church: "Why don't you help me out and give me a bio-scan of these losers."
Delta reappears in front of one of the soldiers with a HUD containing bio-scan results.
"Bioscan analysis
BT: O+
HR: 120 bpm
BP: 40/120
Brain Activity: Alert
Note: Titanium screws in right leg
Trauma suggests recent knee injury"
"Someone's almost universal donor." Yang quipped.
Ruby blushed, "Uhh is it bad that I can't remember my blood type?"
Yang facepalmed, "Yes. Ruby. You are a universal donor by the way O neg. Come on, we even donated blood together."
Ruby paled, "Don't remind me. Gah I hate needles."
Delta: "This one has recently had knee surgery."
Church: "Thank you! Okay, let's blow the bolts on that maintenance hatch, give him a little bit of a stumble."
"How can they do that? Can they just hack objects now?" Weiss asked.
"I guess everything is connected to their security system." Jaune shrugged.
The first soldier fires.
Delta: "First shot fired."
Church: "Alright, let's wrap this up. Gamma, where are we at?"
The memory of Gamma is standing next to the drive bay monitoring the download.
Gamma: "Files still transferring."
"I'm going to assume that the files have finished transferring." Weiss sighed.
"He's letting Gamma help? He should throw him away just like Omega." Nora crossed her arms.
"Aww don't be so mean to Gary." Yang chuckled.
Church appears over Carolina's shoulder.
Church: "Okay, Carolina. How's your aim?"
Delta displays a HUD listing Carolina's projected accuracy as 92%.
Delta: "She hasn't been sleeping well."
"Her accuracy is still okay." Pyrrha complimented. "Not great but not bad either."
"92% is just okay?" Jaune asked.
Pyrrha and Ruby nodded.
Theta: "She's been having bad dreams... about the bad guy."
Sigma briefly appears behind Church before vanishing.
"The Meta." Pyrrha grimaced, recalling the scene where he ripped Eta and Iota out of her head.
Church: "No, Theta, she's fine. Don't worry about it."
Delta's HUD lowers Carolina's accuracy to 82%.
Church: "Delta! She's! Fine!"
Delta: "(restoring her accuracy) This isn't very scientific."
Church: "Well, sometimes, you just have to operate on faith."
"Church says you have to operate on faith." Blake chuckled, shaking her head.
Delta: "That seems unwise."
Projected paths to take appear overlaid on the room, showing deaths and kill counts.
Church: "Yeah, but it is more... (Church selects a path resulting in 3 K.O.s and no kills) ...fun. There, that'll do it."
Ruby smiled, "He chose the one where no one dies."
"That's the path we as huntresses and huntsmen should be obligated to take." Pyrrha nodded her own approval.
The rest of the group mumbled and nodded their agreements as well.
"Not counting their legs though." Nora commented. "Or arms.. sometimes necks. People can survive that right?"
Theta: "She won't like that injury part."
"I don't either." Pyrrha winced.
A HUD shows a 94% chance of success with a 63% chance of success without injury.
Church: "She never does, but if she lives to complain about it, she still lives. Thanks, guys."
The memories vanish and Church appears in front of Carolina.
Church: "Alright, looks like it's just you and me, sis. Transferring analysis to your HUD. Let's do this."
"Church sees Carolina like a sister. That's kind of cute." Yang smiled.
"The director is kind of like his father in a way." Ruby nodded. Because he created him." Like how Penny's dad made her! "But that means Church is also like Carolina's dad too."
"Does that make Tex her sister? Or her mom?" Jaune asked.
"Ew if she's her sister and Church is also her brother and her dad-" Ruby's eyes widened.
"It isn't like that! And Tex is something else entirely, definitely not the director's daughter." Yang cut in.
"This took a turn I was not comfortable with." Weiss gagged.
"That's not even mentioning Carolina's pick me up line in season ten." Nora chimed in.
Yang groaned, "Ugh that's really funny but also really gross."
"You all took a very sweet moment and turned it into something heinous." Pyrrha scowled. "Shame on all of you."
Ruby, Jaune, and Nora all looked down and mumbled apologies.
After a bright flash, time resumes at normal speed as the door comes to rest in front of Carolina. An indicator on her HUD shows her to head to her right.
Church: "(voice only) Roll right!"
"He's come a long way from only saying 'watch out'." Ruby giggled, recalling Carolina's fight with the Tex drones.
Carolina rolls behind the door, as the maintenance hatch opens, causing one soldier to stumble.
Soldier on left: "ARGH!"
Carolina leaps over the door as she continues to receive fire, shooting the soldier on the right. A bullet hits her in the helmet and leaves her stunned for a second. She grabs the door and throws it at him. She approaches the last soldier, still caught in the maintenance hatch.
Soldier: "Urrgh, You... BITCH!"
Carolina punches the soldier, knocking her out and knocking her helmet off.
"I'm glad she just punched the woman's helmet off." Pyrrha commented, recalling when Maine almost certainly punched a man's entire head off.
Carolina: "Epsilon. (No response) Church!"
Church: "(voice only) Yeah, yeah, I'm here. I just lost a few pathways, but I can still hear you. How'd you do?"
Carolina: "Had to improvise at the end, but you got me started."
Church: "(voice only) Eh, I had faith."
Carolina: "Thanks."
"They make a great team." Ruby smiled.
"Is your father as helpful as Church?" Pyrrha asked.
"In training yeah." Ruby nodded, "Church has sounded more like dad in this episode than he has in any other."
"I noticed it too, it's because he's a lot less negative." Yang explained.
Carolina recovers the storage unit from the panel.
Carolina: "Data's here. Looks like our little scavenger hunt just got easier."
A hologram of a Binary Rifle appears.
Carolina: "You see this?"
Church: "(voice only) Yep. Grab a helmet. We'll do some repairs on the way."
Carolina grabs the female soldier's helmet as alarms start going off.
"That explains her helmet." Pyrrha noted.
Church: "(voice only) Sorry, there's nothing that I can do about that in this state. You need to move."
Carolina: "Already gone."
Carolina activates her Speed Boost and runs out of the room. Cut to a cliff edge overlooking a facility. Carolina is examining the specs on the Binary Rifle.
"That's one of the guns that can dissolve people." Ruby grimaced. "Normal weapons can do that to Grimm, I don't ever want to do that to someone. No matter how cool the gun looks."
Carolina: "Apparently our friends in black aren't just focused on armor enhancements. These weapons are more advanced than anything we've encountered. How are they funding all this?"
The hologram disappears as Church appears.
Church: "Well, speak of the devil…"
Church pulls a video feed of Locus and Control.
Church: "...And he shall appear."
Carolina: "Another message from Control?"
"I'm still curious about last season. Was she talking to Locus or was she just listening in on their call?" Pyrrha asked.
"What do you think?" Ren asked.
Pyrrha hummed, "I think, in light of what Felix said. That she was just listening in. Unless coincidentally her suggestion was in line with Locus's orders."
Church: "Yep. I picked out a clip you might find interesting. (plays clip)"
Control: "What did we lose?"
Locus: "The healing unit, as well as several miscellaneous files."
Carolina: "Sounds like last week's raid made the headlines."
"Wait, how did they get the healing unit in the first place?" Jaune asked.
"Wash went to prison, it was likely confiscated from him." Blake guessed.
Church: "Keep listening. There's something you need to hear."
Control: "This is unacceptable, Locus. I thought you told me you only worked with reliable partners."
Locus: "I do. The individual in charge of that outpost has been eliminated. I saw to the matter personally."
Control: "I'm not paying you to put bullets through the heads of space pirates. I'm paying you to ensure the acquisition of my property. And when I lose my property, you lose your payment."
"Space pirates?" Jaune raised an eyebrow.
Pyrrha chuckled, "That's what Caboose thinks Sarge is."
A video feed of Felix pops up.
Felix: "If I could interject for a second, you're not just paying us to collect that Freelancer tech from the crash."
Carolina: "Wait. Who is that?"
Control: "Felix. Straying away from the New Republic to join the conversation for once. To what do we owe the pleasure?"
Felix: "Those sim troopers you dumped on us are proving to be more of a handful than an asset. If they find where we're keeping Wash, and if Kimball thinks they're ready, I'm not gonna be able to stop them from searching for their leaders. And, if they find their leaders, this whole civil war charade's gonna fall apart real quick."
"And Felix called Locus crazy for worrying about them." Jaune smirked.
"He's a hypocrite, what a surprise." Weiss scoffed.
Carolina: "What?!"
Control: "I can assure you, they will never be ready."
Felix: "That's what I said, but my partner isn't convinced."
Control: "We will continue to move Agent Washington's group sporadically and-"
Locus: "Sir, what if they do manage to make contact...?"
Control: "This inquisitive behavior does not suit you, Locus. If the Reds and Blues manage to reunite... Kill them."
"They couldn't." Ruby grinned.
"Felix wouldn't shut up, and Carolina snuck into Locus's group." Yang added.
The conversation cuts out and disappears.
Church: "Carolina, we have to go back."
Carolina: "What the hell is going on on this planet?"
Church: "We can figure that out along the way. Right now we just need to get back to the guys. If Control has infiltrated both sides of this war-"
Carolina: "I know. Recovering equipment can wait."
"It's still shitty that they left them to go on their own mission." Yang crossed her arms. "But at least they're stealing it back from terrible people. They still could have said goodbye though."
Ruby nodded, "They had a good reason to leave." Like mom..
Church: "Actually, there's one more thing I wanna pick up."
Carolina: "What?"
Church: "We're a long way from the guys."
Church pulls the specs on Teleportation Grenades.
Church: "So what we need is a shortcut."
Carolina picks up the Mercenary helmet she grabbed as the screen cuts to black.
The episode ends.
"Boo why would they name the cubes teleportation grenades? Future cubes sound much better." Nora grinned.
